24. Author's Note

Dear Reader,

I'm proud of you for making it this far. It means you made through the story maze and probably have unanswered questions. There are a few I can think of right off the top of my head regarding certain characters and their fates. Don't worry, those answers will come in due time.

My beta and I just wrote a novel length work of fan fiction in less than two months. My beta, we'll call her J, has been the driving force for this fic. She, and my readers, have motivated me to write this all out.

The Ascendance series is very important to me, and I couldn't bear the thought of leaving it alone, so I wrote. A special thank you goes out to Jennifer Nielsen for writing the series in the first place. It's an honor to write a piece of fiction for her amazing world of Carthya.

I'd like to thank my constant reviewers. Your words were so encouraging. I'm so glad you all liked the various original characters I threw in. I hope you all love them enough to return for the Streets of Drylliad's sequel (which still has no title because I'm the worst at titles :,) ) Thank you cactussquare for your ratings and hopes for Merry, ElvenMaia for being one of my first readers to leave a MASSIVE REVIEW, and bookwormCM18 for loving my huge chapters.
