Percy's Pov:

... ... ..This isn't happening... ... It can't be... There must be some... misunderstanding?

I just stood in the empty alleyway crying, trying to make sense if it all. Annabeth, my true love, broke up with me? It seems like a nightmare. A nightmare that came true.

I hobbled over to where I was staying. Everything felt numb. I plopped on my bed and in my daze made one IM. Then everything went black.

"Percy?" a familiar voice rang in the silence.

My mouth seemed lioe it was stuck with glue.

"Percy, It's Piper," my eyes fluttered open. Piper stood before me with a satchel of ambrosia.

"You said you were hurt," she said with a worried look on her face.

"I... I.. need a friend," I stammered. I needed someone to tell me this was not real. That everything was going to be okay.

"Oh, Percy. What happened?" she knelt down by my bed.

"Annabeth," was the only word that came out.

"What about Annabeth? Where is she?" I bit my lip.

"Gone, away," I waved my hand in the air to show what I meant.

"Was she kidnapped?" I shook my head.

"She," I paused, took a breath and continued. "She broke up with me," Tears started falling down my face. I thought all of ny tears were gone from my bawling last night.

"What? Why?" she exclaimed.

"I don't know.. she said she had known what I'd done. I have absolutely no idea what she meant," she had her thinking face on.

"Maybe.. no..." she murmured. "What if she thinks your cheating on her?"

"But, I would never do that! That's outrageous, and she would know better," I yelled.

"Percy, calm down. I know this is tough, believe me, but you will get through this. If what I think is the case, it should be an easy fix!" Piper made me take deep breaths.

"Okay, you're right. Can you come to school with me? I'm not sure I can get through it without Annabeth," I begged

"Of course Percy. Of course." she said gently. I was grateful for having a good friend like her. Not many of those come in a lifetime.

(The wheels on the school bus go round and round)

School was terrifying. Without Annabeth I feel so vulnerable. Piper was guiding me through the maze and led me to homeroom. When we entered everyone glared at me.

"Hello," I said awkwardly. "This is Piper," they glares deepened.

"Did I miss something?" Piper whispered.

"I don't know. If you did, then I did too."

I sat down in my regular seat in the back and Piper sat beside me.

"Excuse me, cheater," Gabe walked up to me.

"Sorry?" he just scoffed.

"Like you don't know. How could you? I though you loved Annabeth. You kept talking about her on and on and now you're cheating on her with her?" he pointed to Celeste.

"Whoa... WHAT? I would never cheat on Annabeth, let alone with Celeste," I said her name like usual. With disgust.

"Hey, I heard that. Also, I'm just as confused as you are. Although the story isn't to bad," I rolled my eyes.

"Piper, do you know what's going on here?" I looked over at Piper and noticed she was staring off into space.

"Piper?" she just pointed. My eyes followed to where she was pointing.

"Oh no..."
