I think I've been flying for around 20 minutes following the convoy of trucks that took everyone, careful to not lose them at all, they were heading out of the city. One thing I did I have to admit though is my negative thoughts are right, I am outnumbered…and my chances aren't high…but I still gotta try, there has to be a way but first I gotta get there.

Hmm…looks like they're pulling into those buildings, I lower my attitude and hovered observing what was going on, a lot of the captured ones seemed stunned, where as some were being pushed into buildings…there are so many of these Lab Assistants…no way I can take them head on…especially without a weapon…why didn't I bring that Stun gun with me?

How do I get in? The Front has too many of them and I can't be spotted…well until the escape can happen…my gut tells me that we're gonna have to fight our way out and besides this is at least 50-60 people that need to be rescued, the Lab Assistants would have to be freaking dumb to let all of them slip out undetected.

I'm gonna need to fly around and see how to best get in…

At the CMD Headquarters…

Jay was finishing up on their metal leg, that was going to for its first test run soon and then Jay can be out in the field again.

"Still working on that Leg?" Nomad asks as he comes into the room.

"Yeah, it's just about done." Jay replies, finishing the last bit.

"You sure this will work?" Nomad asks.

"I've checked everything three times over and everything looks good, now to put the leg in…actually can you help me with that Nomad?" Jay answers.

"Of course" Nomad moves over to Jay.

Jay moves to the couch with the metal leg and Nomad stands next to him.

"All right, I'm gonna put this in and it's definitely gonna hurt…especially with the spikes going into my leg, I need you to keep the leg stable in no matter what" Jay explains.

Jay puts his metal leg in the stump of his leg with spikes going in, Nomad holds the leg going in as Jay's face scrunched in pain and held his pained sounds in

"Almost in" Jay says through pained breath

The leg fully inserts itself where Jay's former leg was and then Jay relaxes on the couch. Before Nomad could ask Jay how it was, an alarm started to ring.

"Great, mission coming through." Nomad groans

"Go see what it is, I'll be there in a sec" Jay says.

"You sure? I could just take Melody and—" Nomad starts.

"Just go there" Jay says.

Nomad walks out the door of the room as Jay gets on his new foot and starts testing it which seems to be going well. With a smile on his face at the success, Jay walks out the room to follow Nomad…

Back with Clara…

After flying around for what seemed 10 minutes I found the best looking way in, a vent on top of the building, there's a Lab Assistant on top but I can get rid of him. I fly up high so I'm too high to notice and then I descend on the lab assistant and hit him straight into the head and knocking him out.

I look around to check nobody else noticed and it doesn't seem so as I open the vent and get in...only I found myself falling down quite a bit as I forced myself to brake and slow my descent down just in time to find a catwalk below me…I listen for any assistants and don't hear any and drop down.

I look around and don't see any Assistants immediately on my level but some below, where are the captives? I sneak inside a small room that's empty…hang on…an electric gun? This will help me if I have to fight openly. I notice the door opening and a shadow on the window next to it…shit…I need to hide….um….um…the table! I dive under the table as the Lab Assistant enters. He stops and looks around as I grip the gun ready to shoot should I be discovered and I think of plans so far to get out if it does happen.

The Lab Assistant gets something out of a drawer and then leaves the way he came and left. I let out a sigh of relief and roll out from the table. I quickly check the room and nothing else of use is there and I follow the Lab Assistant out the door and quite a bit along the area until the Lab Assistant stopped…if he turns around I'm caught, I sneak up as quiet as I can to him and whack the butt of this gun so hard in the side of the head that he falls to the ground and I catch him.

I look around anxiously to see if anyone heard that and thankfully nobody did, I drag the unconscious lab assistant into a small room nearby, making sure there was nobody in it and then proceeded upon which I found where all the people are…all cages on the level below me scattered everywhere.

How to do this? I count at least ten of the assistants in this room and if any one of them sets off the alarm, my chances are none of getting out of this alive or not getting captured. What would Nomad do? Wait…who's Nomad? Oh never mind! I go back into the room and look for some stuff real quick…hmmm…nothing here…wait…

Is this a map? It looks like one that's detailing a base that's north of here and it looks important…I should hang onto this…but there's no other stuff I can use…guess I'll have to whack them with the gun.

After a careful bit of observing and a bit of patience, I jump down and knock out the first guard motioning a shush to the captive experiments who looked at me with surprise. Thankfully I seem to be well trained at this and took out just about all ten guards without a single alarm raised in the span of five minutes, almost getting caught at takedown number 7 and 8.

I look for the keys on the last body and found them as I notice Serenity in front of me as I go to unlock her cage first.

"You came back?" She asks me.

"Yeah…I did feel bad for leaving…" I told her.

When the cage door opened I got a hug from Serenity which I returned while looking around.

"So what's the plan?" Serenity asks me.

"I don't know…there's so many out there…there's no way all of us are getting out of here without a fight…let's get everyone free first" I admit I didn't really know.

It took all of ten minutes to open all the cage doors of everyone that was captured, and to make sure it was everyone that was captured. Now then…

"Now to figure out how to get out…" I say to myself.

"How did you get in?" Anemone asks me

"Vent but it's too high to reach without wings and you can forget about fitting in there and getting back up…" I shoot down that plan.

"There's gotta be a way to get out, I ain't hanging around in a cage again!" Serenity taps the bars impatiently.

"That's the thing, I don't see us all getting out without having them on us to be very likely…so we may have to fight, which means-" I start.

BOOOOOOOOOOOOMM!

Waaah! What was that!? The whole ground just shook and something just exploded, I watch as the others look terrified and look around.

"I don't think we have time for plans, we better get out of here before they check here again" I tell them.

I run up the stairs and everyone follows me as another explosion somewhere shakes the catwalk we're on as I hear the sounds of gunshots and I see Lab Assistants firing at people I cannot see out a huge door, but they did get cleared out…I don't see any other way out..

"We're gonna have to go through there" I told Serenity.

"Are you crazy? What about the other guys out there!?" Serenity says.

"Look…there's no other way around this and it'll take too long to get back out any other way and we don't want to be surrounded in this building. We may have to fight or run like hell" I answer.

"Are you sure?" Anemone asks me.

"Well…sure as I can be and I got a feeling…like the guys against these assistants are the good guys you know?" I tell them.

"…well we don't have any other options" Nic points out.

"Very well let's get out of here" Anemone agrees to the plan.

We get down to the floor where the Lab Assistants are cleared from the battle and we got to door just as someone that looked like me blocked the way…this person is familiar to me.

"You just can't help yourself can you, Clara? Always gotta play the heroic type, I'd have thought your memories being taken would have made you see more…but I suppose it's my fault for not making sure you wouldn't end up here" the other me says.

"You. You're familiar and not in a good way" I replied.

"You know this person?" Anemone asks

"That looks just like you too, what is she? The Evil Twin?" Serenity asks

"Probs not far from the truth" I mutter.

This woman does not mean well, even her gaze unsettles me.

"So Clara, have you changed your mind? Let's change the world together" the other me asks me.

"No. I don't trust you, move aside, these people need a place to stay away from here" I tell her.

"I can't allow that, it's with me, or none of you leave" She says dangerously.

"Look, I can tell you mean nothing good, don't think looking like me will change anything." I tell her.

The Clone of me just sighed.

"Fine you want to play that way, I guess I'll make you mine. The Hard Way!" the clone spoke.

I watch as she pulled out a sword, I guess I'll have to take her down so I shot my ray gun at her which she…dodged all of them without a sweat…and no more ammo…uh oh!

"What were you aiming at?" the clone asks me.

"Serenity, Anemone…lead them out, this is my fight" I tell my friends.

"But—" Nic starts.

"Now. She wants me, she'll get me, you guys get out of here, don't argue." I say to them.

I pick up a Melee weapon, a shock stick by the look of things to be able to fight her as I used up the ammo trying to shoot her thankfully it looks like I know how to use these as I step forward and get myself into a readied stance waiting for my clone to make the first move.

"Come on Clara, aren't you going to try?" my clone mocked me.

She isn't gonna move…so I'm going to make the first move as I dashed towards towards my clone and started swinging at her as she dodged and met her blade with mine, whenever I tried striking she seems to be able to block or dodge them without trying too much, this isn't getting anywhere fast. On the positive side the others slipped out as I made sure she couldn't get to them.

"You can't beat me Clara, you're still weak, allow me to demonstrate!" my clone tells me.

I dodge her strikes and do my best to defend and attack at the same time and as out weapons locked, I felt something hit my check…I saw a…needle sticking out of me and I'm feeling very sleepy as she backs off and I fall to my knees…feeling way too tired….

"Same result as last time…I will always win over you Clara, you are still too weak and it didn't have to be this way…but don't worry I've learned so I'm gonna make you see it myself this time, and then our combined power will bring this world to its knees" My clone tells me.

No…can't sleep now…I can't lose…not this time…I feel…I feel…violent…angry…that…bitch will not beat me! Screw that needle…I feel a rush going through me as my body emits a slight blue glow around myself…I got back up on my feet no longer feeling tired much to the shock of my clone.

"How!? That's enough to knock even the most caffeinated being to sleep for a few days, you can't resist that!" My clone told me.

"Well it's not enough now, I am not losing this time! You call me weak, wait til you see what I can really do!" I told her angrily.

I launched at my clone faster than she could react and she barely blocked my blow but I kicked her straight in the chest sending her back as I launched aggressive and fast strikes she could barely block until I hit my shock stick in the side of her chest as she screamed in electric pain.

"Hurts doesn't it?" I look down on her.

I kick her sword out of her hand and I pick her up and start smashing her against the wall multiple times and then pushing her onto the ground.

"Who's weak now huh? Well? Already lost for words?" I ask her angrily.

I can feel my vision getting even more blue as I approached her, I felt like I was getting angrier and more violent, I hear footsteps from the door to my left, I saw a masked man, a bandicoot with a crocodile tail and one with a fox tail…they looked familiar to me but in a good way.

"Grr…not what I planned, you win this time Clara, but next time you will be mine!" My clone says.

"Who said there will be a next time?" I tell her.

I walk towards her intending to go for the kill as she throws a flash grenade that I had to close my eyes to avoid being flashed as I struggle and feel angry at getting flashed and by the time I open my eyes I saw her flying out of a window.

"GET BACK HERE! WE AREN'T DONE!" I shout after her.

I watch as my clone flies off…she's gone, I'll get her next time for sure. I turn to the other people that had arrived.

"Clara! There you are!" the masked man got towards me.

"Who are you?" I ask the man.

"It's me Nomad" the masked man said.

Familiar but have no idea…I notice I've lost my glow and…I'm starting to feel tired again…guess the sleep is working now and I'm out of energy plus these people feel like friends…yep…definitely nap time in a second…

"I've been looking for you all over Clara, it's good to see you…" Nomad starts

Yaaawnn…sleepy now…I fall forward onto my knees then forward towards the ground.

"Clara!" I hear Nomad's voice muffled through my ears.

I feel hands catching me and I fall asleep…
