The other day, I made a Harry Potter fabric box and yeasterday I made a Harry Potter pencil case. From scratch! I can't sew to save my life, but I was determined! They only went a little wonky LOL

Bella remembered the day, with perfect clarity, when she started her period for the first time. She was twelve and it was a Sunday. Charlie had been working the day shift to cover for another officer. Bella called him tears because she was just so shocked. She knew it would happen at some point, but not just then. Charlie had promised that he'd be home as soon as he could.

Half an hour later, Charlie walked into the house with a huge bag for her. Feminine products in every size, brand, and type possible, chips, candy, and a couple of sappy films he called 'chick-flics'. He also included a heating pad and a hot water bottle.

Bella cried even harder, just because she could.

Charlie had hugged Bella to within an inch of her life, just because he could.

Bella had so far spent her life in half. Six years with her mother and six years with her father. She knew which parent loved her more. It was shown through presents or any other material objects. It was shown through love and attention. She couldn't even remember a time that Renee had hugged her.

After that day, Bella and Charlie talked about everything. Bella understood that just because Charlie was her dad, didn't mean she couldn't confide in him.

Charlie understood that his girl was growing up and he didn't want her to face life's challenges on her own.

.

Bella and Charlie decided to go out for dinner. They didn't do this very much, but Charlie had been working late recently and Bella was finishing off the last bits of schoolwork before she graduated.

"That was a beautiful gift you got, Bells. Still no idea who it was?" Charlie asked with a small smile.

"No, but I know you do. It's pointless even asking you who the rider is, so I'm just going along with it. You wouldn't let anyone near me unless it was safe, so I'm trusting you, old man," Bella laughed.

"Less of the old, Bells. I was only eighteen when I had you. I'd hardly call thirty-six old, thank you very much," Charlie grumbled, which made Bella laugh a little more.

"So, did anyone die at the hands of Bella Swan today?" Charlie asked as they stared at the menu. Waylon's girlfriend, who owned the diner, had changed the menu recently. Now Bella and Charlie made it their mission to find something new to eat.

"I'm craving a huge burger, I think, and no, no one died today. I'm sure if they did, you'd be the first person they called," Bella huffed.

"I spoke to Edward, Bells. Seems like you got a little too tough with Tyler. Don't get me wrong, the jerk deserved it, but do I need to get you into some sort of Anger Management?" Charlie joked.

"How about some Stupidity Management for them? And while we're talking about stupidity, can you have a word with Billy about Jake's bike? He's going to end up killing himself. He pulled out of the parking lot today and something fell off the thing." Bella grumbled.

"Will do, daughter of mine. Now, tell me about your ongoing crush on Edward? Are you still at the blushing point, or have you moved onto openly flirting?" Charlie waggled his eyes brows, which scared Bella half to death before she cracked up laughing and nearly fell out of her chair.

"Dad, I love you, but please…Don't do that again," she continued to laugh.

"I'm serious, though. He's a good man and you'd be good for him,"

"Dad, don't you think it's a little strange that as a father and a police chief, you're trying to set me up with a man a few years older than me? Shouldn't you be telling me to be careful and be safe and all that other fatherly crap?" Bella asked once she'd stopped laughing.

"Age isn't that much of an issue and you're my daughter, so I know you'll be safe. I also know Edward pretty well and he'd shit a brick if he hurt you and I found out about it. I just want you happy, that's all," Charlie replied.

Bella just smiled and thought over his words.

I can't get over how much I love Charlie!
