Chapter 19: The Temple of Water (Part 2)
Author's note: Part 2 of this temple of water chapters. For those who are wondering why I am splitting this temple chapters up like this, its because I want to keep things from getting boring. Besides it helps pace things along especially with what other characters are doing. Anyway I hoped you all enjoy the chapter! This is TheFoolOfTheNoon signing off!

Ankha's P.O.V.
"So, this is the third trial…uh is it a swimming trial?"
I walked into the chamber and was met with open water in an enclosed space. I do not mind water, as a matter of fact I enjoy swimming. However, something was telling me that danger lurked in the water. Looking to the side of me I saw a couple of tridents and small daggers lined up against the wall. Honestly, the sight seemed out of place in this room, but things began to click when the door behind me closed and the platform I was standing on began receding into the wall.
I checked my current weapons which is my khopeshes, my staff which is currently stored away, and a simple hunting knife. Overall, nothing good for underwater combat. Looking back to the weapon rack, I took the trident and water dagger before leaping into the water with held breath. I can only hold it for a limited amount of time, so I should stay close to the surface. Fortunately, the moment I entered the water the area lit up and I was face to face with three creatures. Not simple sea monsters but what I can describe as fishmen. They were lightly armored in in scale mail and armed with tridents like me. What was strange about them though is they don't look alive, more like constructs of some kind.
They aimed their weapons at me, and I stared them down as I did the same thing, however, with less finesse. I have little experience fighting enemies underwater plus I am not dressed for the occasion either. As it stands, I am at a severe disadvantage. I'll just have to adapt to the fight as it goes.
"As what Nacho would say, Bring it on!"
The lights turned green and that is when the constructs attacked. Rushing at me at surprisingly fast speeds which forced me to dodge. I am aware how movement works underwater and at the speed they are going at, I do not have time to swim away. I going to have to twist my body a lot for this fight just to avoid getting skewered. Which is what I did now as they closed in, I did a little twirl which avoided the worse of their weapons, but I could feel the edges scratch my skin. I dare not hiss in pain as I needed to maintain my breath as long as possible.
It was only a matter of time before they turned around and do another head long charge straight at me. I need to lessen their numbers somehow, they charged again, and I forced to dodge once more by twisting my body to avoid the worst. This kept up a couple more times, changing how they all came in each time, before an idea came to me as I realized that they do not stop their speed at all. Then maybe I can get one of them to run straight into the trident I had with me. It was worth a shot, so after they did another charge pass that nicked my arms. At this point there was patches of red in the water that obscure visuals a bit, but it was perfect for me.
I got into position and firmly gripped my trident as I hid behind the veil of blood in the water. In one swift motion, I was able to twirl my body in the water again, dodging the tridents of the two I did not aim for. The one I did go for, ran headfirst into my trident, the impact was hard, so it pushed me backwards in the water while also repaying me with the tip of his trident going into my arm. Its glowing cyan blood leaked from its face as did the blood from the damage he did, but since he bled more his color predominantly invaded the water. Seeing my chance, I took to the surface and let out a gasp as I took the small moment to catch my breath and, in the process, to remove the trident from my arm. Which stung as it felt like pulling out large barbed needles.
I dare not take my eyes off the other two as they looked at their dead comrade before looking at me. Their eyes took an eerie yellow glow as they completely changed their tactics. They now began moving independently of each other. I took another breath and headed back into the water, my goal is retrieving either my trident or the monster's trident. The nearest was the monster's so I grabbed that and immediately prepared myself for a fight as I found myself between both monsters who were circling me. I kept my senses aware before one of them fired a ball of solid water right at me. It was a bit hard to see coming due to the magic blending in with the arena, but I managed to avoid it in time as the impact of the attack hit the wall behind me and dented it.
"Impact attacks, I got to be careful…"
I tried to find the other one, but it was out of my line of sight. It must have used the attack its ally used as cover to swim out of sight. Instincts told me that opponents that like to sneak up on you attack from behind. Immediately I leaned forward underwater, barely just avoiding a trident thrust aimed for my center body. I took out the sea knife and went for a counterattack, aiming at the unarmored parts of the armor. I thrusted the knife deep into the segment of the armor and caused blood to leak from it. The creature flinched in pain and immediately kicked me away as it pulled the knife out of its body. I took the hit and used the momentum to get some distance away from the monster, but now I lost my knife and I still had to deal with two monsters.
I readied the trident on the monster that kicked me away while keeping an eye of the magic shooting monster. The magic wielding monster started the next attack as it began to fire volleys of water balls in my direction. The speed they went at was quick as a bullet and despite my attempt to dodge them the water made me slow enough where I took most of the shots to my body. It felt like a group of iron balls digging into me before bouncing off, the pain threatened to force me to lose my air, but I held strong and kept my mouth close. However, as I was recovering, the more physical of the two monsters was already on me. Aiming its trident and going from another thrust.
I forced myself to hold up my own trident in response and blocked the attack in time. The monster was pushing me back and before I knew it, I was pushed into a wall. I lost some of my air from the impact, but I had a bigger issue. The monster pulled out its own sea dagger while locking me in place. I could not figure out a counter in time as the monster plunged the knife into my side. I winced in pain as the urge to shout in pain was strong as it pulled out the weapon out. My blood clouded the water a bit, but I had an idea. Pushing against the pain, I used my legs to reach out and grab the monster's arm, the one holding the trident. It was confused at what I was doing and went in for another stab, but I squeezed the arm with my legs hard. The monster reacted in pain as it drops the dagger in the water and tried to use its clawed hand to pry my legs off, but it was too late. With one more hard squeeze, there was a small audible snap as the monster's arm broke.
I smiled as the pressure on me was released and I kicked the monster away. I quickly grabbed the floating dagger and pushed myself off the wall to go in for the kill as it was still squealing in pain from the broken arm. I plunged the dagger into its neck and twisted the knife, sealing the deal as it flailed a couple more times before going still. The last monster ceased movement as the lights of the water arena flashed slowly as I surfaced again to breathe again.
"Ah! That was rough…just one more…no doubt its going to get worse."
I look into the water and saw the carnage left behind. Spots of blood from me and the monsters who died, but adding to the feeling of the carnage was the lights turning red. I dived back into the water after this happened and eyed the last monster which its marking began glowing as the lights darken and the only thing keeping this water lit up is the ominous red lights. Almost as I was swimming in an evil sea.
The creature made a creepy clicking sound that vibrated in the water. Its eyes taking an unnatural glow before it began casting a spell with its trident raised. My senses told me that the spell was going to be a big and dangerous one. So, I quickly prepared myself to dodge and just as the monster swung its trident in the water. I swam and made my body as flat as possible just as a quick magical wave of water sliced through the body of water we are currently in. I watched in amazement and awe as the water blade effortlessly cut through the floating dead bodies and metals in their armor and weapons.
That was a demonstration, it had to be as the beast quickly swam and closed in my position to kick me deeper into the water. It followed this up by shooting more water bullets that I tried to dodge again, only again to fail as they made impact with my body. I ignored the pain as I try to think of a plan to attack this aggressive monster. However, it was literally swimming circles around me as it got a few more attacks in. Before one last strike that send hurtling towards the wall. The stone like material cracked upon impact as I quickly recovered to see the monster charging another magic spell.
I carefully placed myself on the wall as I got ready to dodge. I could not just prematurely dodge or else it would hit me anyway. Timing myself carefully, I thought about whatever magic I can use to counter the beast. Fire magic is practically useless as this temple weakens fire magic and I am underwater. Just the neutral type magic that just boil down to defending myself with a shield or moving any of the objects in the water. Wait…that is it! Any small movement in the water can throw a person off balance. I may not be able to move a full person yet but maybe I can mess with the smaller parts attached to them.
Plan in mind, I launched myself upward just as the creature finished its spell and another large blade of water was sent my way. Frankly, I do not know if I could survive being bisected, but I rather not go through the experience. Anyway, horrid thought pushed away, I managed to swim into a position where the monster was below me. It tried to charge at me but putting my plan into action I used my magic to grab the armor plating on the fishman's leg which held it in place. The monster was confused as it suddenly came to a stop and looked at me with anger and began charging another spell. Quickly, I made a motion with my hand and let go which caused the monster to flip in the water. I knew the monster would quickly correct itself, so I immediately followed up by taking the trident with me and throwing it straight at the beast.
To my surprise the beast corrected itself far quicker than I thought and caught my trident. I immediately dodge as it threw it back at me and resumed the charge. I mentally cursed as I took out my hunter's knife and prepared myself to fight. That trident having a further reach than me, I decided the best way to put the fight in my favor is to use magic telekinesis again. Targeting the tips of the trident I forcefully pushed it downwards which interrupted the charge. Flipping it forward and making them vulnerable to attack. It did not hesitate to swim in for the attack with my hunter's knife. Thrusting the knife forward just as the monster regained balance, my knife glanced off the helmet much to my frustration and I was forced to change tactics.
I wrapped my legs around the monster's chest with a tight grip. Taking my knife, I began driving into the gaps in the helmet. Blood leaked out as the beast struggled but I kept pushing deeper and deeper. However, I failed in killing it as the monster charged up a magical pulse and blasted me away. I could hear the monster screech in pain in the water as it held its face as the blood leaked out. Thankfully, I did not lose my knife but now I had an angry monster in front of me as it charged at me with more magic being charged along the way. The speed was fast, so quickly I used the same magic as before to target its limbs. More specifically one of its swimming legs. I prepared myself as I cast the spell and gripped the leg.
I was surprised at how much force pulled at me despite me using the spell. I swear I could have been pulled with the creature due to how much force it was exerting via swimming. However, the interruption did nothing to stop the monster's spell. Thinking fast I activated the hyper state on my arm to increase my strength. The pull the monster was exerting was lessened and acting quickly I fiercely pulled the monster downwards. Forcing it to misfire and launch its spell straight up.
"Didn't think I had to use this again, oh well, hope I can end this quickly."
After the monster failed its spell, I used my grip to pull it towards me as quickly as possible with my knife readied. The creature saw what was coming and took out its knife and we clashed in an underwater knife fight. It was a bit of a clunky fight as swinging the knives would be a bad idea, so we would be trying to stab each other while dodging strikes. Despite not having to worry about its trident, the knife was an all too real threat as the speed it stabbed with was unreal. It did not help I was not armored at all, so I ended up taking a few good hits as I carefully targeted the weak spots in the armor. My strikes mainly missed, but I managed to stab under its armpit and get a lethal stab in its neck.
The monster squealed in in pain but did not give up as it kept the attack up. Even charging another large-scale water shotgun spell that he launched at close range. The close-range impact forced the air out of my body and effectively knocked the wind out of me. I closed my mouth immediately as the need to breathe was now strong. I must swim back to the surface without going too fast, but I doubt the monster would let me. Staying calm, I saw the monster was once again charging at me trident drawn. I only got one shot, if I mess this up then it will be a one-way ticket to the beginning of the temple again.
Quickly I adjusted myself on the wall as the monster was closing in. When I saw he was close enough, I launched my body off the wall with my arms with a small twist. It was close but I managed to avoid the trident and plant both of my feet into the face of the monster. Taking a chance with the new foothold, I launched myself off him and swam towards the surface. It was a bit slower than I liked, but I reached the surface nevertheless and took a breath of relief. I held my breath again and just in time too as I felt something grab my leg and drag me under the water.
I was face to face with the hideous beast as the battle already took its toll on its face. It was determined to kill me as it pulled its knife once more. Having the hyper state still active, I immediately grabbed the arm holding the knife. I was able to overpower the monster by twisting its arms and forced it to let go all the while breaking its arm. Taking the opportunity, I grabbed the knife and drove it into the monster's head, twisting to ensure the kill. The beast struggled for a bit before finally ceasing to move and floated dead in the water.
I pulled the knife out and surfaced just as the arena glowed again. This time it glowed with a bright green as a confirmation jingle sounded. The platforms returned and the doorway out opened. I let out a sigh of relief as I swam towards the platform and climbed on it. My body was slightly tired from that entire encounter, not to mention I was dripping wet and my makeup was ruined. Even some parts of my clothes turned slightly transparent, was not meant for water combat.
"There is a joke to be made here but if anybody says it, I'll kill them," I said to nobody as I moved onto the next room. Using the same immolate fire spell along the way to dry myself off. Listening as the faint singing grew louder and clearer. Just who is singing down here?

Isabelle's P.O.V.
"Huh? W-Where am I?"
I don't know why but when I opened my eyes, I found myself in a destroyed field. Rubble of formerly standing buildings lay strewn about. I quickly figured this was a dream but just what am I seeing? I don't like it, its gloomy and dead like whatever was here has long been extinguished. I carefully walked around not seeing anything of note, but it was when I heard a loud roar, I felt my hair stand on ends. I slowly turned around and I quickly wished I hadn't as towering over me was a large beast. Cloaked in flowing shadows from its body with markings that glowed crimson with unearthly power. I couldn't get full details of the beast as it seemed to be made of darkness itself, like a shadow of the real thing.
What I could see is that it was a monster that walked on all fours with another pair of limbs for what I assume are wings. It was huge, probably the size of a mountain and could easily squash me like a bug. However, what stood out was its eyes which seem to glow with radiant energy if that made sense. It was like staring at a force of nature which stared back. Just the pressure of being near it made me gulp in terror. It lowered its head and looked at me closely. I could feel fear trying to take me over, but I bit my lip and stood my ground. Gathering what amount of bravery, I had to look at it directly into its eyes. It sniffed at me for a little bit before giving me a small nuzzle as it raised its head again.
My fear slowly began to fade after that action from the monster. I didn't feel threatened anymore, it wasn't going to hurt me. However, it didn't explain the destruction around me. Just what's going on here?
"Did you cause this?"
I said to the monster, which ignored me as it probably didn't hear me. It looked around before finally growling. I look towards the direction it was facing and saw an army of people heading in our direction. I gasped as I saw they were made up of people I knew, villagers I seen in Mellow, my family, many of the people who worked in the shopping district; all of them! I was going to wave to them until I noticed the weapons they were holding and the machines of war behind their backs.
"This is our last stand! Everyone! We must bring this beast down or every civilization is doomed! We fight to our last breaths, ready? Attack!"
I was shocked in surprise as gunfire and cannon fire came my way and by extension the monster's. The beast roared in anger as it charged an attack from its mouth and fired a meteor of fire that crashed into the crowd. I was horrified as I heard their screams as some of them kept pressing the attack. The monster than gave off a strange howl that opened portals that summoned these large reptiles at screeched and charged the crowd. They pounced some people and tore into them. It was pure slaughter as I heard their screams of horror and pain. I forced myself to look away, I couldn't stomach the carnage any longer and look upon the angry beast as tears formed in the corner of my eyes.
The sounds of my friends, my family dying…it was too much to bear and I had to shout to the heavens, "STTTOOOPPP!"
The monster froze and looked at me, but my vision was already blurred, and the dream began to fade. So, I did not see what face the beast had as I collapsed onto the ground.
/
"Isa? Isa!"
"Huh what where?" I was woken up with a start and immediately felt a warm embrace hold me tight as I realized I was still crying.
"Easy Isa, I'm here, it was just a nightmare."
"I…I…it was horrible!"
It was ironic that Nacho was comforting me as when we slept together earlier, I was comforting him. I could not stop crying as I bury myself into Nacho's chest, the horrible screams and images was still flashing in my mind. Just what was that beast and why did it spare me in the nightmare? I just did not know and that scared me. It took a while before I finally calmed down and explained to Nacho what happened to me in the nightmare. His expression from listening turned grim as I painfully recalled what the monster did.
"That is not good, that has to mean something. I am not sure what but I assume it could mean your afraid of losing everyone."
"That's a bit on the nose don't you think? *Sniff*"
"Like I said I am no dream expert, maybe Azhum would know something?"
"Probably…still what if it's a warning? Of something to come?"
"Then we ready ourselves for it."
The confidence in his eyes brought me comfort as we got out of bed and dressed appropriately to head out. The daylight has fell a bit since we woke up but still there was people walking around. Minding their own business as we searched for Azhum, Honestly, we have no idea where to start as we wandered around the kingdom. Surprisingly, we found him near one of the gates leading out of the kingdom just staring at the volcano in the distance.
"Something on your mind Azhum?" Nacho asked.
"It looks like something is bothering you."
The floating tome turned to us, a somber look in his eye, "Indeed, there is something bothering me. I had a vision, that a disaster I once bear witness may happen again. I can feel it in spine."
"A disaster? I had a dream about a disaster too…"
"Hmm? Do tell Isabelle, I am curious about this dream."
I nodded my head and took a deep breath as I retold the nightmare to him. The talking tome went silent and at the end of it looked at the volcano with renewed interest, "So…does any of it sound close to your dream?"
"No, the only thing our dreams have in common is destruction and death. However, the creatures that would cause that are different. I dreamed of the Volcannondon, but what you dreamed is new. Not even in my personal database I am aware of a creature like you described. Only a few come close, but due to the lack of detail I cannot determine what is the monster."
"Oh…wait…does that mean…something bad will happen?" I said fearfully.
"I cannot say for certain, but the fact the dream itself is lucid means what you bear witness is an omen of something terrible to come. Not exactly as your dream, but the destruction the beast caused will be the same. This would require some looking into. Still I thank you for bringing this up with me. Of course, this means you should train your skills. Its better to be prepared and have nothing happen than for something to happen and not be prepared."
"Agreed, what do you say Isabelle? You up for some training?"
"Yeah, I have this idea for a spell that can help multiply our nulberries. Just in case we need more."
"That sounds like a great idea, well thank you for your input Azhum. Keep us noted if something comes up."
"I will my friends, I will…"
I heard Azhum trail off as he resumed staring at the volcano as I left with Nacho to go train. I looked back at the volcano Azhum was staring at and noticed a small cloud of smoke was pouring out of it. It gave me some bad feelings and a thought that maybe Azhum's fears are not unfounded. However, I had to push those thoughts as I wanted to focus on the training. My spell repertoire has been increasing but there is always something new to learn. Maybe…just maybe I can develop more spells…perhaps even one that can filter out the hunter virus should it become a major problem.
Just what else I can do? Well I guess I'll just consult the spell book for ideas. I hope Ankha is doing fine in her trials.

Ankha's P.O.V.
When I entered the next trial room, I did not expect I would be solving another puzzle. It was a nice change of pace though since that last one pushed my limits. The pleasant singing helped too, but I still do not know where it was coming from. I brought out my staff to keep up appearances. It was a bit strange to look at it all at first, but it became clearer once I reached the center and found a plaque with writing.
"The weight of water will show the way, but no more or less than what is expected," I read as I looked at the mechanisms at play. There are varying sizes of jars attached to pulleys and some pointing to ducts that lead to other jars. Said jars are locked away behind planes of glass and unable to be interacted with physically. Looking beyond them, I see a flowing fountain with a bucket nearby.
"This is going to be tricky, so I need to make sure each set of jars hit the right amount weight with each other to unlock the next room. So…how much does each one need?"
I investigated each jar and saw there is a marked line inside of them. Seemingly simple, it did not explain why some large jars are paired with smaller jars. Deciding to experiment with them, I walked over to the bucket and gathered some water. Pouring one into a large jar, the added weight pulled rope it was attached to and lifted the smaller jar easily. Causing it to tip as it reaches up and faced a duct which led to another jar.
"So that's how it is, I need to use the other jars in order to fill up the jars behind the glass."
I took a deep breath and went to work as I did the task of walking back and forth with a bucket of water as I worked with the weight puzzle. The first one I investigated took some time as I accidently overfilled one of the jars behind the glass as I did not expect the jar to be lifted to fill the jar next to it. It's fill line being more than the one being filled, so I had to estimate how much is being poured into the jar.
It took me less than ten minutes to finish the puzzle section before moving onto the next one. Looking a bit more complicated as the jars that need to be filled to activate the pressure plate are in the middle of two other pairs of jars. This puzzle took me at least twenty minutes to finally get right as the weight distribution between the both sides was key to solving the section. It was frustrating but it was finally done. That just left one more section and this one was the most complicated of them all.
Having two separate jars on pressure plates surrounded by a total of three pairs of jars I can interact with. This one was even more frustrating as the pulley's interacted with other jars on a different line. I was not sure how long this took me, but it was close to an hour until I finally completed the section and by extension the puzzle. I let out a sigh of relief as finally the puzzle was over, and the door opened to the last and final trial.
"I'll admit, that was one tough puzzle. At least I proved I can solve it, who knew spying on math and physics classes would be so helpful? Of course, this can still be figured out without them, just a bit longer though. Just wish the water needed wasn't far away."
When I stepped into the room, the singing was a lot clearer. It was a lot more like a serenade with no lyrics, but it was a pleasant sound regardless. Surprisingly, there was nothing here other than a nice bed, a small table with a drink and food prepared, and of course a bathroom that can be used. Beyond that is a large door that seem to be locked with a magical seal.
"What kind of trial is this?"
"This is no trial Ankha, this is the rest zone. I had one made as I figured you would be wiped after thinking and fighting so hard. Also, because the last trial is a battle with a powerful Magi-Beast I managed to stow away here after making a deal with her."
"Her? You know her?"
"Well yes, I made a deal, but I'll explain once you get into the arena with her. You are so close Ankha, I am so proud! Make sure you are nice and ready before jumping in. Got to be at your best after all."
I smiled, "Of course my goddess. Thank you for bestowing me this kind gift."
"Think nothing of it, take your time and open the door when you are ready."
"I will," Bastet's presence faded away as I was left to my own devices in this break room. Well, a little rest and relaxing would not hurt. Besides, I used up plenty of mana and stamina from those trials, so I really needed it. Just hope I do not keep Nacho and Isabelle waiting for me for too long or Lucky.

Lucky's P.O.V.
I yawned as I stood guard outside the temple of water. There really has not been much to do other than take in the beautiful scenery. Still I was surprised to read the writing here, it felt like home all over again to me. No doubt Ankha felt the same way and that fills me with joy. Dusk was approaching and I felt like taking a nap, but I had to push such thoughts out of my mind as I am supposed to keep guard. Still it would be nice to nap, just wish that volcano over there wasn't giving me bad vibes. I think I saw smoke coming from it.
"Lucky, are you there?"
"Hmm? Adofo?!"
I got my weapon ready and pointed it to the slowly appearing Adofo who came out with his hands out. The sight itself confused me.
"Lucky, I know we haven't been on the same side, but this is really important. I am risking my life as it is just to meet you like this."
"Really now? Last I checked, your loyalty to Aten is unquestioned, why should I believe you?"
"Because if you don't, Ragnarök shall befall us once again."
I stood in shock and surprise when those words left his mouth, "Ragnarök?! You mean the same event that wiped out the Norse Patheon?"
"The same…my master isn't the same man he used to be. I been aware of that fact for a while now. I only stayed by his side to find out what turned him into the monster he is now. However, I cannot stand idly by while he puts in motion the next twilight of the gods and make Ankha suffer."
"That makes two of us, still how do I know I can trust you?"
"I have nothing but my word Lucky. However, I can tell you what plan he has that is coming into fruition soon. A mighty Magi-Beast of fire is being stirred in that Volcano, being made stronger by Aten's influence. He plans on using it to erupt out of the volcano and crash into the kingdom your friends are staying in."
"What?! That is insane, so many people will be killed!"
"More than that I am afraid if it works, the creature is known to wipe away cities when it fires out of a volcano. Even worse, he plans on straining the relationship between Nacho and the people of the kingdom. I don't know how yet, but I suspect he has a reason for doing so that is beyond putting Ankha in a bad position."
I gripped my spear tightly but took its point away from him. Against my better judgement, I can tell he was not lying and was not trying to trick me, "Alright, I will pass the word along to the others. But what else can you tell me about his plan to start Ragnarök again?"
"I am not certain, but he mentioned about awakening a powerful beast along with using that magi-beast in that volcano. He also mentions he is going to use a virus of some kind; he did not say what kind of virus but I know what it might be based on the hint he gave me."
"No…it couldn't be. That virus?"
"I am afraid so; he plans on bringing the frenzy virus to this kingdom."
/
Lavi's P.O.V.
"Wowzers…never expected to see something like this," I got out of the large cloud of darkness and met up with my companions who were waiting with anticipation.
"So? Got any idea what that cloud is made up of?" Marshal asked curiously.
"Yeah I mean you told all of us to stay out here while you went in there with a protective spell surrounding you and some berries," Kiki added.
"Well there is a reason for that," I pulled outa vial which I used to gather some of the flying particles from the dome of darkness, "This stuff is hazardous to your guy's health, and to prove it I am going to scan it."
I took out the adventurer's scroll and inserted the vial into a segment and that is when the machine began to whirl with a light. Scanning the substance within, it took a good ten seconds before it stopped spinning and the results came up on screen. Needless to say, I did not like what it said back to me as images of the virus came up with only a small line of text.
Analysis Complete:
Warning!
Substance is an infectious pathogen not on record with our database. No data can be provided, contact the guild immediately!
"Goodness…it's a disease of some kind?" Whitney said with shock.
"Not just any disease, I seen this this kind of virus before. Heck I even know why it hasn't spread even further."
"How come?! Is it some kind of super virus?!" Marshal exclaimed in a panic.
"Unfortunately,…it's the hunter's virus…and there is only one man I know that can make this much in one explosion."
"Who? Who would make so much that it covers nearly an entire landmass?" Kiki questioned with a tilted head.
"Nacho, and I know its him because he told me…now the questions remain, how did he get here, why did he make so much and where is he now?"
I made a grim expression as I dialed the guild and gave them a call. If there was anybody who has an idea where somebody like Nacho would be, it would be them. Still…I am afraid what they might do if I tell them everything. I am gonna have to skim some information just so they don't hunt him down or something. Just what happened though to cause this…mess and destruction?
