Alix stared at her pocket watch. She had an odd feeling she had something to do. She was new to her powers, only getting to use them every so often since it was so powerful, but something was calling her.
"Clockwise," Fluff disappeared into her miraculous and she transformed.
She opened the burrow, stepping inside. Images floated around, some speeding by while others leisurely flowed. Alex watched them pass by until one caught her eye.
Bunnyx stopped the moving picture, watching the scene unfold. Marinette was sitting in her bathroom, pregnancy test in hand. Her eyes were wide with surprise and happiness.
Marinette came out of the bathroom smiling, "You were right!" Marinette's face fell as it panned to who she was talking to. Before she could see who it was, the image whisked its way out of her hand and vanished. Bunnyx left the burrow, coming back to her room. She had to tell Marinette. She whisked her way over rooftops and landed at Marinette's home. There was a secret entrance to the house that only miraculous holders knew about. She entered, checking behind her to make sure no one saw her.
She stepped into the living room, looking around for Marinette. Marinette was working in the kitchen, preparing dinner. Bunnyx stepped into the room, the floor creaking. Marinette whipped around, rolling pin at the ready.
"Bunnyx! You scared me," Marinette chuckled once the shock wore off. She set down the utensil, putting whatever she was making in the oven.
"What's going on?" Marinette asked, leading Bunnyx back to the living room to sit her on the couch.
Bunnyx didn't know how to say it. "You're pregnant," She blurted out quickly. Marinette's eyes widened and confusion filled her face.
"I'm… pregnant?" Marinette let out, Bunnyx nodded profusely. "How do you know?"
"Well, I just had this feeling so I kinda…" Bunnyx knew what was coming.
"Bunnyx you shouldn't be using your powers for this type of stuff," Marinette chastised her.
Marinette stood, walking away. "Where are you going?" Bunnyx asked as she detransformed.
"To see if you're right," Marinette gave a smile. Alix sat and waited, looking around the room.
Marinette and Adrien had bought a house together soon after finding out each other's identities and dating. He must've been out doing a photoshoot since he wasn't home. It felt unbearably long even though it had only been about 2 minutes.
Marinette burst through the bathroom door, a wide smile on her face as she held the test in her hand. "You were right!" Marinette's face dropped. "How am I gonna tell Adrien?"
Deja vu hit her like a truck. Alix chuckled that she was so worried about a little thing like this. Everything happens for a reason.
Marinette sat on the couch next to the redhead worriedly. Obviously she was excited and she knew Adrien would be too. They weren't necessarily trying but they would be happy if it did happen. She just hadn't expected it so soon.
Marinette and Alix went over the options. She wanted to do something by tonight.
"Why don't you do what you do best… bake," Alix offered. Marinette's eyes brightened as an idea came to mind.
She pulled Alix into a hug, "Thank you so much, Alix." Alix left her to do her thing.
Marinette baked a simple cake, writing her message on top. "I have to tell my mom and dad too, they're gonna be so happy," Marinette smiled as she added the finishing touches. She laid a hand on her stomach. She hoped it was a boy.
After she had finished, Adrien came through the door. He put his keys down on the counter, giving Marinette a kiss on her forehead.
"How was your day, love?" He asked, looking tired.
"It was… eventful," Marinette smiled, her eyes drifting to the cake on the counter. Adrien followed her gaze reading the lettering.
The cake read 'Welcome home Daddy'. Adrien looked at Marinette confused.
"I didn't realize you were into that sorta thing," Adrien smirked, pulling her into his arms. No wonder he never realized I liked him. Marinette rolled her eyes.
The only way he'd understand what she meant was if she said it outright. "Adrien, I'm pregnant."
His whole body froze and his mouth gaped, wide eyes staring into hers, not tired at all now. He smiled, lifting her up and spinning her around.
"YES YES YES!" She laughed, grasping onto him. "Oh wait," he put her down gently. "Are you okay?" He asked worriedly looking her up and down. She already knew what kinda father he'd be. Overprotective.
"I'm fine," she smiled, eyes glistening with happy tears. Adrien gave her a soft kiss, both hands cupping her cheeks.
The oven beeped, interrupting them. Marinette went to take it out of the oven.
"Oh no you don't. That's too dangerous," Adrien pushed her to the side, putting the oven mitts on himself to take the food out.
Marinette let out a sigh, if he was like this now she could only imagine how protective he would get later on.
