Pulling a chair up to the table, Garth sat down and began to explain his plan to the three woman. "The problem was not so much in building the sonic lance, Tesla and I already have a team working on that. The problem was how to power it. Normally, we use trisilicate, but that doesn't exist here. So we had to work with what we have. Mr. Tesla suggested using one of his coils. Looking it over, I could see how it would be compatible with a sonic lance, provided a few adjustments are made to metreon coils. Once we figured that out, the next step was to..." Garth's speech became a string of technobabble.

She's hanging on his every word, Sarah Jane thought as she looked at Olga. Even though she probably has no idea what all this gobbledygook means. I sure don't! Sarah Jane looked over at Lynda, and saw that she was just as clueless.

"Well, what do you all think?" Garth said, after a few moments.

"I think it's fascinating," Sarah Jane said.

"Me too," Lynda added.

"Neither of you have a clue as to what I just said, right?"

"Yeah, you got us," Sarah Jane said. "Reminds of the times the Doctor would start in on big words like that. Gave me a few headaches trying to follow it."

"I no understand either," Olga said. "However, it's important to you, Garth, and that makes me happy."

"Me too," Garth said as he took Olga's hand in his own.

"Uh Lynda, why don't we check out more of the local sights," Sarah Jane said.

"Huh? What?"

"The local sights," Sarah Jane repeated, cocking her head at Garth and Olga.

"Uh, right," Lynda said, catching on.

"We'll see you both later," Sarah Jane said to Garth as she and Lynda got up and left.

Could they have been any more obvious? Garth thought, shaking his head.

"What was that all about?" Olga asked.

"I think that was their less than subtle way of telling us that they were giving us some alone time."

"Da! I see now," Olga said and they both laughed.
