"Without a proper guide, they will never be able to find the one hiding as the God of the Sun." - Sentinel prophecy
Sophia looked over the siege trenches as the soldiers created them, as the massive artillery was pushed into the areas dug out for them. Aphrodite had come prepared with all sorts of weaponry, ready to unload utter chaos onto the massive metropolis that was the City of the Sun, Ra's city. Aphrodite had proven to be quite the warrior girl, having gotten a battle plan for the weapons, to shell the inner city. It seemed that Ra built his city into the shape of the sun, they would siege a massive section between two of the sun ray arms that snaked out of the capital, which was in the center of the circle.
The inner city surrounded the Capital city, which they were about to attack.
Sophia nodded to Aphrodite, who spoke up, "Prepare the artillery!"
The massive Sentinel artillery cannons hummed with power as they took aim into the city, the Sentinel soldiers watching for any signs of the enemy going to approach.
Aphrodite raised her arm, as the soldiers tensed, "AIM!"
They adjusted their aims and nodded, ready to unleash hell upon the Enemy, for their fallen brothers and sisters.
"FIRE!" Aphrodite yelled and the artillery erupted into life.
Massive energy bolts surged out of the barrels and slammed into the city, tearing buildings to shreds, streets melted, and vehicles exploded. Sophia watched as the Artillery tore the city asunder, impressed by how quickly it was being done. She looked at Aphrodite, who was studying the burning city with a watchful eye. Sophia moved into the camp that was set up, walking into the commander's tent and collapsing on the cot, bone tired. She needed a nap after all of that fighting.
Atlanta watched the inner city being shelled from the safety of the taken sun ray arm to the west of Sophia's army, her troops working their way through the arm as they had Ra's people moved out and into specialized camps for any potential new people to join the Argent D'nur peoples' ranks. She lowered the binoculars, turning to see the holomap of the city gained another block of red, it seemed that her soldiers were doing better than she had hoped. A soldier walked up, handing her a file before walking back to his post, Atlanta opened it then grimaced.
Ra's men had shaken off the surprise and were now mobilizing, except it was towards the artillery. She had to warn Sophia, then she grinned before issuing orders to her troops.
"Get the soldiers ready!" She barked, looking at the people below her, "We're going to flank Ra's troops and take them by surprise!"
Sophia only awoke to the sounds of warfare, her tent shaking as the sounds of battle roared around her. She leapt out of bed and rushed towards the front lines to find the Enemy was rushing at them with trillions of troops, like the Jackals but the armored warriors had bird heads instead of Jackal heads. She grabbed a heavy sentinel repeating cannon and started unloading round after round into the oncoming enemy, as the sound of battle grew even louder.
Somehow, she would find herself leading a charge into the front lines of the enemy, her spear now having the energy blade shaped as a trident. The Sentinels roared as they followed her into the combat, guns firing, swords slashing. She was in the middle of it all, like she couldn't be stopped, nothing could touch her; they cut their way into the enemy forces. Millions of Sentinels just carved their way through Ra's soldiers before she heard a battlecry. She had just beheaded one of the Falcon headed troops before looking up and grinned as troop carriers swooped in overhead.
Then she saw her big brother and his wife leaping into the thick of the enemy soldiers, weapons ablaze.
"TO THE KING AND QUEEN!" Sophia bellowed, as the soldiers roared right back.
With renewed vigor, the army surged forth towards their King and Queen. The Slayer and Diana were cutting through the enemies like butter as Sophia ran up and hugged Perseus.
"What took you so long?!" Sophia happily asked as she stabbed an enemy through the chest.
"Traffic and paperwork." Diana and Perseus said at the same time, smiling down at her before they lead the armies deeper and deeper into the enemy lines.
Atlanta grinned as she heard the word from her soldiers, her Father and Mother had entered the battle and were leading the charge towards the center of the city. She ordered her troops to push themselves harder, to get to them so they could join up and win the fight. She pulled out her crucible and started cutting down any enemy soldier that got in her path, the black blade leaving only burnt limbs and dead bodies behind her as she led her troops further into the city.
She spotted her parents, her Father was mowing down anything that dared get close to him with his minigun as her Mother fired her bow. Sophia was using her spear, no Trident to cut down any enemies before her as they pushed towards the Capital city's wall. She joined up with them as the armies surged through the streets before her Father pulled out his BFG and fired it at the wall. She laughed when the wall exploded everywhere, allowing them free passage into the Capital.
"The easy part is over now," Atlanta shouted over the exchange of weapons fire, "Now for the hard part, finding Ra and Anubis!"
"Indeed," Diana said before running into the Capital, followed by everyone, "But you're a Goddess, use your senses to find the Bird headed deity!"
Atlanta nodded before spreading out her senses, before her eyes widened, "I found them! They're in the center of the city, where the massive temple is!"
Perseus nodded, "Yes, but they are expecting us Deity's to be there, lets not disappoint them."
