"If you guys want to get lost again, that's up to you, but we're telling you, the class is this way!" Elle told the twins with frustration in her voice.

"You don't know what you're talking about, Greenaway. We're not going to let you morons get us lost." Jake spat back.

"Alright, look, we don't want to start anything, we just want to get everyone to the classroom as quickly as possible, ok? Can we call it even or something?" Emily interjected. Her head hurt from all the bickering.

"Look, New Girl, you're not better than us. You're not even equal to us, so you don't get to try and be the good guy, ok?" Chloe told her. She found it odd that she was still 'New Girl,' she'd been at the school for a while.

"I don't want to be the good guy, I just want to get to the freakin' classroom," she replied, her annoyance seeping into her voice. They finally gave in and walked to the classroom, with the twins hanging back behind them.

"I think we need to put them in their place. I think they're both walking home with New Girl's little sister. Can you get Ian and the others together?" Chloe asked her twin.

"Most certainly. Let's teach them a lesson."

Derek and Luke gave the two an odd look as they came in. They weren't late, but Elle looked pissed and Emily just looked tired and annoyed.

"Everything ok?" Derek asked the younger teenagers as they sat down.

"Two pretentious, self absorbed, narcissistic teenagers with a stubborn streak is not a good combination with an already growing migraine." Emily explained briefly before sitting down in her desk, trying to dull the pounding pain in her skull. Gideon noticed the way her eyes tried to block out as much light as possible and cover her ears from offending noises as he walked in, and recognized she was probably having a migraine. He flipped off 2 of the light switches as he walked in, acting as if it were routine. He smiled at Emily as she mouthed a silent 'thank you' as he continued with class, making his voice a bit softer than usual as well. He knew how horrible migraines could be, especially in a school.

He taught his class, talking about facial cues, body language, and tells. A select few of his students looked captivated by the topic. All of the students at the table with Derek Morgan, even Emily with her headache, plus about 3 others in the room. Everyone else looked like they didn't care for it much. As he finished his lesson, he dismissed the small class, watching how the table of 4 from earlier stuck around talking. They seemed to be decent friends, or at least acquaintances. He could tell that Elle and Emily were best friends, maybe even more, and Derek and Luke were close too. Derek and Emily were also friends, but not as close. But they all got along, and that was all he cared about. He didn't like fights, violent or not.

"Elle, JJ, and I are all walking home together, so we won't be on the bus." Emily warned Derek as they took their time gathering their things.

"I won't either, Luke and I are going to head down to the park. You already told the adults?"

"Yeah, I told Haley this morning."

"Alright, I told Aaron. We're gonna go, see you in a bit."

"Bye," Emily told her foster brother as they left. She turned to Elle with a smile. "So, you ready to go?"

"After you, what is it that Penelope always calls you? Oh yeah, Gumdrop. Let's go, Gumdrop." They both laughed as they left the classroom. Elle made a split-second decision to hold Emily's hand. She laced her fingers with Emily's, and to her delight, she didn't pull away. She just smiled to herself and kept walking with their fingers intertwined.

They walked like that for about 10 minutes before they got to the elementary school to pick up JJ. A bundle of blonde hair sprinted towards Emily.

"Em'ly! And Ellie! You're here!"

"Well did you think we would forget you, squirt?" Emily said with a chuckle as she signed JJ out. As soon as the trio had left the school, JJ lept into her big sister's arms and wrapped her arms around her neck.

"Oof! I missed you too, Jayje." She said as they walked down the road, still carrying JJ.

Their walk was going fine until they rounded a corner and saw Jake and a bunch of his friends standing there, with Chloe next to him. Emily paled. This did not look good, and Elle didn't think so either. They stopped dead in their tracks.

"JJ, do you remember how to get to the park?" Emily whispered into her ear. When JJ nodded against her shoulder, she continued. "I need you to run there and get Derek and his friend Luke. Tell them there's some guys not being nice to Ellie and Emily near Boushear Alley, ok? Can you do that for me?" When JJ nodded again, she took a deep breath. "I'm going to put you down now, and I need you to run to the park, as fast as you can, ok? Go," she instructed as she put the 6 year old on the ground. She took off running towards the park, just as Emily had told her.

"What do you want?" Elle demanded the group.

"We want to teach you and Prentiss a lesson, Greenaway."
