Part Twenty One

The next morning Jackie woke up and made her way out the room, frowning as she heard noises coming from the babies room.

"Steven? What...oh my god " Hyde smiles exhausted over at Jackie,

"What you think? Hope its what you imagined "

"Oh Steven its more than what I imagined!" Jackie kisses him,

"Its so beautiful! You work all night on it?!"

"Of course. Our kid gets the best baby "

"Wow Steven its perfect! Your perfect! Now go lie down while I make some breakfast for us"

Steven goes to lie down on the bed feeling beyond pleased that his hard work paid off, his eyes heavy as before he knew it sleep took over. Jackie smiles from the doorway watching the man she loves feeling filled with so much joy, she was filled with pride in Steven in how far he had come. She went downstairs and began to make breakfast singing along to the radio, she was mixing batter for pancakes preparing to set up a tray for Steven to eat breakfast in bed.

It was midday and Steven was sat on the couch , listening to hot Donna on the radio when there is a impatient knocking on the front door,

"Alright I'm coming!" Hyde opens the door and is frozen in shock, barging impatiently past him was his mom,

"Wow you doing well!" She plops herself onto the couch ,

"What the hell?! How did you find me?!"

"I have my ways. Good to see you too son!" Steven shakes his head incredulously,

"Really im your son again huh funny that! Now what you come back for?"

"I need your help Steven " Hyde sighs placing his hands in his head,

" what have you done?"

" why blame me? You know your problem your so self righteous Steven!"

"Enough! I am not doing this anymore! I have a wife and a kid on the way I cannot get involved!"

"You what?!" His mom stands looking enraged ,

"How many times did I tell you to use protection now you got some whore knocked up! Your just like your father!"

"Which dad your talking about? And never talk about Jackie like that! She is my wife and the mother of my baby"

"Your impossible! I need a drink" she enters the kitchen and helps herself to a beer sitting herself down,

"Make yourself at home!"

" why so uptight . Chill out Steven. Wait Jackie? Is she the little rich princess you went to that dance with?"

"Yes . Quit laughing mom!"

"You looked a fool! Oh god how did you pull her?!"

"You know what you are finishing your drink then I would like you to leave!"

Jackie exhausted enters her house to find Steven rushing out the kitchen and looking flustered,

"Hey doll. Your home early all okay?"

"Yes just taking early maternity leave. I need to take it easy apparently "

"Oh okay well how about you have a nice hot bath while I make you some food?!" Jackie nods her head feeling achey and tired,

"Yeah a bath sounds good. Uh baby you alright? You look tense"

"Of course baby. Don't fret darling now go have that bath!" They stop short as from the kitchen they hear a banging noise,

"What the...oh god what the hell are you doing here?!" Jackie asks annoyed as Steven looks mortified behind Jackie,

"Ahh princess! Jeez you got screwed over badly ending up with this one!"

"Excuse me that is your son , my husband and you may not care about him but I do! He's sweet, kind and incredibly loyal!" Jackie feels anger shake through her body making Steven protectively wrap his arm around her,

"Jackie its okay baby go have your bath ill take care of this"

"No its not okay Steven! Why? Why did you abandon your son?! He needed you and you just left without a second glance! You don't deserve to have kids!" Jackie shouts her eyes filled with emotion, as she grabs the can of beer out of her hand,

"GET OUT!"

Jackie got into bed her whole body aching,

"Hey how you feeling?" Steven asks entering the room and sitting down beside her taking her hand into his,

"Tired and fat. Steven I am so sorry how I lost it with your mom "

"No you have nothing to apologise for doll. In fact I owe you the biggest thank you. " Jackie kisses him when pausing,

"Oh. Steven Place your hand on my stomach " Steven frowns but does it and feels the small kicks making both of them laugh and smile affectionately,

"Oh Steven. This is so perfect "

"It is. Jackie your perfect. I love you " they kiss lovingly snuggling together on the bed.
