The next day at lunch, Natsu's face lit up like the fucking fourth of July when he noticed his girlfriend walking towards their table, surprisingly without a tray full of food.

Lucy wasn't entirely sure how her life had led up to this moment. If you had asked her a month ago if she would ever do what she was about to do, she would have laughed in your face and kicked you in whatever genetalia you had. Even as she walked up to their table, her mind was screaming 'what in the ever loving fuck are you doing?!' She barely glanced at Natsu when he greeted her, and she tried to ignore the way his smile dropped like a deflating balloon. "Hey, girls. Can I talk to you guys in private?"

The way the entire table's jaws dropped was hysterical to onlookers. The girls all cleared their throats and quickly agreed, sans Lisanna who hesitantly agreed. Once they all stood up, she led them over to an empty table. "Can you believe that bitch?" Natsu asked the guys once they left.

"Are you okay, Lucy?" Levy asked as they sat down.

"Yeah, I'm good. I just don't really have friends."

"Obviously." Lisanna crossed her arms

Ignoring the salty bitch in the corner, Lucy continued. "I was wondering if you guys could help me find some kind of casual dress or something for Natsu's party."

Erza and Levy's faces both lit up while Lisanna looked completely shocked. "Wow, Lucy." Levy said. "You're really putting a lot of effort into this."

Lucy shrugged. "I just kinda want to impress him." Although she had no clue why in the fuck.

"You're body shape is similar to mine." Erza thought out loud. "Why don't you come over after school? I have plenty of choices."

Somehow, Erza's fashion sense scared the shit out of her, but it was better than shopping she supposed. "Thanks, I'll meet you at the entrance."

Erza nodded in agreement as Levy jumped up and down in her seat. "Can I come too?"

"You both may come." Erza confirmed, but the expression on Lisanna's face was doubtful.

"Cool. Well, I better go diffuse the ticking time bomb over there." They all look at where Lucy was looking at, and they all giggled when they saw a very angry Natsu with crossed arms, steam rising out of his ears as he glared at her.

"Most definitely." They snickered.

"Hey, Natsu." She belatedly greeted as she sat down. He just harrumphed and turned his head to the side. Rolling her eyes, she leaned over and kissed him on the cheek. "Don't be a little bitch."

His anger lessened but he was still a little grumpy. "What was all that about, cuntcake?"

"Oh, just some business to attend to, captain ass clap."

"Probably clown business." Gray said from across the table, laughing when Lucy chucked a plastic utensil at his head. Natsu raised and lowered his hand in defeat since it was his plastic utensil.

"Y'know, Lucy." Erza stabbed her salad, officially ending the bantering going on. "I've grown to like you."

Lucy just stared as mostly everyone at the table grunted in agreement. "Yeahhhh... I'm out."

They all watched as she got up and went to go fill up a tray full of food, then proceeded to leave the school. Gajeel patted Natsu on the back. "Ya sure know how to pick 'em."

Natsu sighed and laid his head on his hand. "I like to think she picked me. Like a damn stray cat." They all couldn't help but chuckle. He turned his attention to Lisanna, who was rubbing the inside of her wrist through her long sleeved shirt. "Are you coming to my party, Lis?"

She looked at the boy in surprise, it was the first time he'd really acknowledged her in weeks. "Do you want me to?"

"Well, yeah! Of course."

She shared a smile with him. "Then of course I'll be there."

"Awesome!" He grinned, then scanned the rest of the people at the table. "I guess you guys can come too."

"Oh, gee, thanks." They unanimously mumbled.

"So, how did you get away from Natsu?" Levy asked as all the girls sat around Erza's room.

"I just told him I was hanging out with you guys." Lucy replied as her eyes scanned the immersive contents of Erza's closet. Her house wasn't extravagant like Natsu and Gray's, but it was very comfortable to be in. She actually liked it quite a lot. "His brain almost imploded."

They all giggled while Erza pulled out a simple black dress and held it up to Lucy's body. "I bet this will look great on you."

Lucy blushed a little at the compliment and took the dress. "Thanks, Erza."

She rose an eyebrow. "Go try it on and come out and show us. We have to approve of it first."

"Oh." She cluelessly mumbled as she turned to go to the bathroom, but she stopped when a thought popped into her head. What in the ever loving fucktarts was wrong with her today? Did the fairy queen of fucking pansies stick a flute up her ass or something? Like, fuck. "Hey, Lisanna. Can you help me?"

The brooding girl looked up at her in shock. "Um... sure." Reluctantly, she followed Lucy into the bathroom, sitting on the counter once the door was closed. "What do you want?"

"Listen I just..." she sighed as she began undressing. "I just wanted to say that I'm sorry that Natsu doesn't like you more than a friend, but you're so fucking pretty, you could get any other guy you want if you tried. I mean, you're still a very important part of his life and I don't want you to think that I just stepped in and ruined you guys' friendship or anything. Honestly, I wish you guys would hang out so he would leave me alone sometimes." She giggled at herself as she tried but failed to zip up the back of the dress. Lisanna hopped off the counter and helped her zip it up. "Thank you." She turned around to face the girl. "I guess I just hope we can actually be friends... or at least civil to each other." Okay, that's it, she tried. She was being beyond fucking nice in her opinion.

Lisanna actually smiled a little. "Thanks, Lucy. It's been taking me a while to get over this new Natsu and accept the inevitable..." she sighed. "He's all I've ever wanted, but I'm sorry for being so mean to you. I hope we can be friends too."

Lucy smiled. "Great! I would hug you, but I'm not about that shit, so just know that I would in a parallel universe."

Lisanna shook her head with a chuckle. "No worries, I'm not ready for that yet."

Lucy nodded her head. "Understandable." She glanced at the dark spot on the sleeve of her shirt and looked back at the girl. "I'll be around if you ever wanna talk or some shit. Natsu will be too, so don't be afraid to call him or whatever."

"Thanks, Lucy."

Lucy nodded again awkwardly. The girl didn't seem very talkative, so she just moved on and looked at herself in the mirror. "Huh... Erza actually has good taste. Who knew."

Lisanna smirked. "She loves clothes. She's actually the girliest out of all of us."

Lucy's eyebrows rose. "Interesting."

"C'mon." Lisanna nudged Lucy towards the door. "Let's show them how good you look."

Lucy was shocked at her words as they left the bathroom and went back to Erza's room. The two were doing some homework on her bed, but they looked up when they noticed the other two walk in.

"Oh, wow, Lucy!" Levy beamed as she jumped up from the bed. "You look so hot!"

Lucy blushed with a grin as the girl grabbed her hands and started twirling them around. "Thanks, Levy."

"I knew that would be perfect." Erza assured herself as the two girls began dancing with each other, Lucy finishing the dance by dipping Levy down. They both giggled when they stood back upright.

Lucy plopped down next to Lisanna on the bed and decided to start some girl gossip since she had never experienced such a thing before. "So, has anyone met his family?"

For the rest of the evening, the four of them shared stories of Natsu's family and Lucy was actually enjoying herself. The universe must have gone fucking crazy. Even Lisanna was having a good time. That girl time bullshit wasn't as bad as Lucy thought it was.
