Lucys pov:
Todays the day, me and Natsu finally get what we have been working for, after many weeks deprived of our success and future, it's time. Nothing really prepared us, our nerves fluttering around with little jitters. Natsu mainly. We have to look our absolute best, show the people who they can rely on, two strong leaders that hold their selves with the determination and courage of lions. I smooth out the blue dress adorning my curvaceous body, letting it fall evenly above my knees. I reach up and gently finger the diamond pendant resting between the cleavage of my breasts. The light from the crystal chandelier reflecting little beams of pure rays across the room, this being one of the items that was salvageable from my mothers belongings. She rarely wore it but when she did on those special occasions of her and farther going out, she looked like she was out of a dream, a dream so far away that it was impossible. Her beauty was impossible.
I let out a shaky breath, collecting myself. Giving one swift nod in the mirror, I make my way over to where Natsu is fumbling with a blue tie, his hands trembling furiously. I swat his hand away, shyly smiling at him.
"You know that it's okay to ask for help Natsu".
Natsu huffed, looking up at me from his seated position on the bed, "I didn't need it" He mumbled under his breath.
"Uh huh, you say that every time you do" I tuck the tie into his pristine white blazer, smoothing it out as I do.
He places his hands on my hips, his index finger rubbing circles against my dress, "I'm nervous Lucy".
"Me too Natsu, me too".
I wrap my arms around his shoulders, comforting him as much as I can. Who knows how today is going to play out, last time we actually had a big gathering of people, Sting attacked. But Sting no longer lives, only a few of his pack members. Guilt dropped like a boulder on my chest, I hardly had a choice I remind myself. I straighten myself and help Natsu up, giving him a reassuring smile, clasping his sweaty palms into my own.
We open the front doors of our home, the sunlight flooding into the foyer in slow motion, our bodies being revealed to the eager crowd awaiting us, inch by inch. Our feet working in sync, letting our pack see us in all of our glory. Cheers erupted in waves, people waving and jumping with glee, washing away any uncertainty.
Finding our way to the centre of our front yard, a stage stands like a colossal podium. On top, our Alpha waits, his proud eyes never leaving us. We stand patiently next to him to start the command.
"From here on out" He pauses, glancing over at Natsu. "I official hand over my title of Alpha of this pack to the next successor, Natsu Dragneel".
His words hypnotising us like tidal waves, the effect of those words taking over, making it official. Natsu is finally the leader of the pack.
Natsu squeezes my hand, his eyes lingering on me before looking out to his pack. "As Natsu Dragneel, the Alpha I hereby recognise my mate, Lucy Heartfilia as the Luna of this pack".
Once again the effect takes over. Cheers fill the silent air, the crowd becoming overwhelmed with emotions.
Natsu leans down to my ear, "Go on, make our first official announcement".
I lift my head, clearing my throat, getting the attention of everyone. "As our first announcement of leaders of this pack, we have come to the decision that the current guards surrounding this new pack house will be moved to the border. The guards taking over are my former pack members and family, the zodiacs. This will ensure everyone safety that takes refuge here. You are guaranteed a safe environment".
Natsus pov:
I tightly wrap my arms around my Luna, rubbing my hand on her back comfortingly. Everyone is grateful for the new changes that are taking place, especially now that they feel more secure within the pack because of Lucys family.
"Lucy baby?" I quietly ask.
"Mmmm?" She softly whispers, looking down at me.
I hold contact with those honey brown eyes for a few seconds before continuing, "Today went well right?"
A soft ripple of laughed escapes her mouth, "Look at how beat we are. I think it went better then we could of ever have hoped for".
"Good, I'm glad you think so".
"Why do you ask?" She plays with my roughly calloused hair.
"I was just checking. Wanted to make sure that you are okay with everything".
Lucy sits up, causing me to sit up with her, her hands falling onto my legs. "Do you have anymore energy in you?"
I tilt my head at her, secretly wishing for her to mention us having sex. "I guess you could say that".
Her mouth turns into a shy smile and she turns her head away, finding interest in something else in the room, "I was thinking that we could maybe go to for a walk? The moons full and the skies clear".
I grin at her, despite being slightly sad that its not what I had thought. I love this idea even more, "In wolf form?"
"Naw, in human form. I'll go put on a outfit that I can breath better in" Lucy quickly enters her closet, her ass sashaying from left to right as she walks.
I throw of my blazer, leaving myself in a tight fitting white dress shirt and some light blue trouser pants. I stretch and rub my face, waiting for Lucy to finish up.
5 Minutes roll by and Lucy comes out, a white toga like dress fitted against her body, gold details of flowers embroided into the slits down each side of the legs. Cleavage being emphasised by the low v line. I instantly walk across the room, holding Lucy in my arms, breathing in her natural scent.
"You look stunning" I drawled out.
"I have to look my best for the celestial beings" Her flushed face looking so adorable at her favourite topic.
I grab her hand and lead her outside, to which she entwined her arm with my own as soon as we reached outside. We followed the path along the hedges, soaking in the light of the full moon. The silence comforting as we continue our stroll, crickets singing in fun tones at us. I look at Lucy who stares longingly at the sky, for once, she looked completely whole, unfazed by everything. I sadly smile at my beautiful queen. She knows she doesn't quite belong here, something better is waiting for her, something she's fated for and it's not here, it's with the rest of her family.
"Natsu?" She whispers, eyes never leaving the stars.
I look over her face, focusing in on her features, "Yes?"
"One day, we're gonna be with them. The two of us" She looks at me, her eyes soft and truthful, "Where we truly belong".
I frown slightly, "But I'm not a celestial being Luce", I grip her hand, "I'm just an Alpha".
She shakes her head, her curls bouncing with each shake, "No you are so much more, there's a reason that for once in the record of my pack I have been mated to someone other than a zodiac. You are so much more than you realise, I need you to understand that".
Tears well up in my eyes, "I love yo-"
"Miss Lucy!" Aries skids around the corner, her feet bouncing on the ground with each running step she takes.
"Aries?!" Lucy pulls away from me, "What's wrong, what's happened?"
"It's the rest of Stings pack, they're waiting outside the border of our pack, they're demanding to see you right now" Her voice trembles out in worried gasps of air.
"Are they trying to break through at all?" I ask stepping in.
Aries looks at me briefly, "No they're peaceful right now but Loki is getting agitated and if you don't come soon then I'm afraid we might start up another war".
Lucy kicks of her heels and takes of, me and Aries following close behind. As Aries had said, fifty people wait on the outside of the border, all looking determined and of course, Loki growling at the silver haired lady at the front, most likely the leader of the group.
Lucy stands in front of the silver haired woman, "Is there a problem?" Lucy questions, using her Luna voice on them.
"I am Yukino, Stings mate. I believe that seeing as you had killed my mate, I... we deserve some sort of treatment. You have left us to become rogues. The least that you could do is refuge us from the enemies that Sting has made. I am pleading! We will be killed if not".
