Talia's pack and Derek's pack gathered together in Talia's living room. They were all waiting on Peter, who was late as always, to tell them the news about what he discovered about the dark pack. Stiles sat in the corner of the room bouncing Paige on his lap. Cora and Laura were engaging in a conversation with their brother, finally without being interrupted by their mother who was glaring at the door so hard she didn't realize what was happening around her. So much so that she didn't see Isaac raiding the fridge, or Erica snooping through her stuff.
Finally, snapping Talia out of her trance was the door swinging open to reveal a sheepish Peter. Not because he just had sex, no no. Peter was always very proud of that. It was because he had had sex with his werewolf hunter lover. He had had sex with his werewolf hunter lover and lost any proof of what he was about to tell them now.
Peter straightened up his back and turned his from into his famous half smirk-half smile.
"Hey Talia wha-" Peter was interrupted by his sister and Alpha flying up and out of her chair.
"Where have you been? You were supposed to report back last night!" Talia barked. Peter chuckled.
"Well I couldn't do that you see because I almost died and I-" Peter was yet again interrupted.
"Was off licking your wounds?" Talia questioned. Peter scoffed.
"In a manner of speaking." Peter said with a flourish of his hand. Talia narrowed her eyes.
"What happened last night? Where's the video camera?" Talia questioned.
"Well you see, I must've dropped it because it's not here with me." Peter laughed it off. Talia growled.
"Did you even find anything out? Was there even anything on that camera!" Talia snapped. Peter scoffed.
"Of course I found stuff out." Peter defended. "Just let me try to remember."
Talia's eyes went wide for a second before her face started turning red. The group watched anxiously as Peter paced around the room, scratching his chin and making an 'I got it' gesture before shaking his head and repeating the process.
"Enough!" Talia snapped out.
"I got it!" Peter announced.
"No you don't, just sit down." Derek huffed. "People's lives are at stake."
"Yeah!" Issac mused from the kitchen where his face was stuffed with food. Talia narrowed her eyes at him. Derek rolled his own.
"No, I'm seriously starting to remember stuff. I must've had a concussion or something." Peter chuckled.
"But werewolves don't-" Stiles started.
"Babe, it's not worth it." Derek warned gently. Stiles let out a quick chuckle before Peter started rambling on.
"I remember now, some details before I hit my head and blacked out all night." Peter started.
"If we weren't werewolves I'd say you were blackout drunk." Derek rolled his eyes.
"I followed the dark pack to an old abandoned warehouse." Peter announced. "Immediately they started talking about their plan to defeat Derek."
"Well what was it?" Derek piped up, ansty about his pack not being destroyed.
"Can't remember." Peter smiled and continued on. Derek's face fell and Talia growled. "Well anyways, the one thing I noticed about them is that the group is made up of children and teenagers. But they're super strong, not stronger than me of course because I am the strongest. But nonetheless they are strong. I bet I could take them but your pups are going to have a hard time Derek." Peter teased. Derek narrowed his eyes.
"Of course teenagers are going to be strong, they've got all this rage and anger inside them about society, and strangely people named Karen, so of course they're going to use that to channel into making themselves the most kick ass fighting machines." Stiles piped up.
"Stiles, what do you know? You can't even ask someone to take your food back when it's made wrong." Derek laughed. Erica smacked his arm. Derek growled at her.
"Enough!" Talia barked out. "How is this supposed to help us?"
"Well the leader and what I assume is the leader's boyfriend or sidekick aren't the sharpest tools in the shed. So I'm sure if you can't beat them you can outsmart them." Peter offered up. Talia shook her head.
"I've never heard of such a thing." Talia scoffed.
"No no, Mom. I think he has a point." Derek stopped her.
Derek's pack and Talia's pack were gathered around the kitchen table that night. They had come up with a plan that day and were trying to perfect it. They werewolves weren't even getting distracted this time. Derek was proud of his pack.
"Okay, so you guys are going to be up there in case something goes wrong." Derek told his group. They all nodded in agreement. "I'll be up front." They nodded again.
"Where will I be?" Stiles asked.
"At him with the baby." Derek told him. Stiles scrunched you his nose.
"Scott's mom can watch her. I want to help." Stiles protested.
"No offense, Stiles, but that would be like bringing a knife to a gunfight." Derek told Stiles.
"No offense, Derek, but you're bringing words to a werewolf fight and who's better at words than me?" Stiles protested.
"I'm sorry, Stiles. I just don't think it's a good idea." Derek offered up a small smile.
"Fine." Stiles handed Paige to Cora who happily took the bouncing baby girl. He slammed the door and stormed out into the hallway. Derek sighed and went back to discussing the plan with the people who would be there, hoping Stiles would be okay going back to the apartment alone.
However, Stiles didn't go home. Instead, Stiles found himself walking up to the abandoned warehouse door. Stiles sighed, trying to sike himself up before going in. But before Stiles could make up his mind, he was being grabbed by a pair of hands and being forced inside. Maybe Derek was right, there's no use bringing a Stiles to a werewolf fight.
