Odahviing landed at the base of the temple.
"This is as far as I can take you, Dovahkiin," Odahviing said.
"That's fine, you brought us to our destination, as promised," Pentel said, as she jumped off of Odahviing.
Odahviing then flapped his wings and soared Into the skies. The pair turned towards the temple, there they would find and kill Alduin.
"Let's go!" Do'mah said.
The pair charged across the small bridge and took down the pair of nearby draugr. They then continued up the path.
A lone draugr stood In their way, he unleashed its thu'um towards the pair. Do'mah stepped In front of the Bosmer, and unleashed his own, shattering the Draugr's shout and sending it flying Into the stairs behind it.
Pentel shot an arrow Into its head, and they continued.
The pair ascended the staircase and were met with a small group of Draugr, accompanied by a frost atronach.
The group charged them. A small number of them split off and charged the bosmer, leaving the rest to surround the khajiit.
Pentel shot the knees of one of the draugr, before ducking under another's strike. She quickly kicked the draugrs foot, dropping It to one knee, before drawing her dagger and stabbing It In the chest.
Pentel then pulled the dagger out and backed up to deal with the rest of them.
Meanwhile, Do'mah blocked a strike from a draugr. He was surrounded by a group of them, he was about to begin his attack when he heard a sound above him.
Pentel cut down the last of her assailants and yelled to the khajiit.
"Do'mah, above you!"
Do'mah looked up, and quickly cast a ward. A massive thunderbolt stuck, immediately vaporizing the draugr around him. Do'mah's ward broke under the brunt of the bolt, and he was knocked to one knee. The atronach was left weakened.
The Khajiit quickly raised his hand, and engulfed the weakened atronach In flames, destroying It.
Pentel ran over to the khajiit, helping him up.
"We can't waste time fighting these draugr, we have to get to the top of this thing." Do'mah said.
"But whatever shot that thunderbolt will be up there too," Pentel said
"Yeah, And we'll probably have to kill it." Do'mah said
…
The pair resolved to run past the Draugr, blocking strike after strike but never stopping. Do'mah would use dragon rend on any dragons that harassed them from the air. They eventually fought their way to the top and entered the temple Itself.
"That… was exhausting!" Do'mah said between breaths.
"Yeah, but were In the temple now," Pentel said as she locked the temple door.
"Of course there's more of them." Do'mah said as a group of draugr approached.
A draugr wielding a battle axe moved first, with a swing of its large axe. Do'mah encased the axe In ice, then cut the arm off the Draugr. Pentel followed behind him and rushed a nearby draugr, stabbing deep into Its head.
The remaining draugr retreated, and Pentel prepared her bow to take It out, she reached for her arrows…
"I'm out of arrows," Pentel said In an Irritated tone.
"That's fine, you still have your dagger." Do'mah replied as he killed the retreating Draugr with a fireball.
Do'mah then unsheathed the dagger on the left of his belt and handed It to Pentel.
"I barely use both anyway." Do'mah said as they moved deeper Into the temple.
…
They exited the temple. The pair moved quickly up the stairs, they were met with the lone Dragon priest, carrying its staff.
"The portal Isn't here!" Pentel said, as they warily looked at the dragon priest.
"Don't worry about that right now, we have to take this thing down right-" Do'mah said
He was Interrupted by a blast of thunder from the dragon priest's staff, It struck Do'mah directly knocking him down the stairs.
Pentel quickly swiped at the Dragon priest, who blocked with its staff. The dragon priest then grabbed Pentel by the neck and tossed her aside.
The dragon priest moved to the top of the stairs and looked towards the khajiit. Do'mah was on one knee, clutching his chest.
The dragon priest spoke
"Zu'u los Nahkriin. Hi fen ni vod." Nahkriin said ominously.
"So you're Nahkriin huh!" Do'mah said
The khajiit raised his hand and shot a mixture of fireballs and Ice spikes. Nahkriin simply raised his hand, and the projectiles blew up before hitting him. Do'mah then appeared In Front of Nahkriin like a whirlwind and swung at him.
Do'mah's sword struck the Dragon priest, Nahkriin stumbled backward. Do'mah stared at Nahkriin, who raised his hand.
"Hin laas los dii," Nahkriin said before a massive fireball ejected from his hand.
Do'mah quickly used his thu'um to Intercept It.
"Yol Toor Shul!"
The two fireballs exploded on contact. Creating a massive amount of smoke. Do'mah caught his breath, and awaited another attack.
A Deadric sword pierced the smoke and struck Do'mah's sword. A Daedric warrior emerged from the smoke and clashed with Do'mah.
Pentel got up and charged at Nahkriin, catching the Dragon priest off guard. She cut off the Dragon priest's hand, before kicking him to one, knee. She then swung both daggers towards Nahkriin's head. Pentel's daggers struck Nahkriin's skull and shattered.
The Deadra staggered backward, before being stabbed In the chest. The Deadra then turned to ash. Do'mah turned towards pentel, and looked on In horror.
A burst of thunder struck Pentel, throwing her back. Nahkriin then let go of his staff and then summoned an Ice Spear.
"Sosaal fah hin vothaarn." Nahkriin said, before grabbing hold of the spear.
"Wuld Nah Kest!" Do'mah shouted
He launched himself towards Nahkriin and stabbed the Dragon Priest In the mask. Nahkriin stumbled backward, clutching his mask. Do'mah took a step towards the Dragon priest.
He unleashed his thu'um again, speaking In an ominous, hushed voice.
"Lis Slen Nus." Do'mah spoke In a whisper.
Nahkriin's body was soon encased In a cold, thick sheet of Ice. The Ice spear he was holding, soon disappeared.
Do'mah turned to the wounded Pentel. He placed a hand on her wound and poured his Magicka Into the wound. The wound was closed, and Pentel let out a cough.
"That… hurt." Pentel said In a tired voice.
"I healed the wound, but you are still weakened." Do'mah said in between labored breaths
"Do you still want to go to Sovngarde?" Do'mah asked.
Pentel didn't answer and got up.
"I'm not sure how long fighting Alduin will take." Do'mah said with a grim tone.
"Someone has to close the portal behind you," Pentel said with the staff In her hand.
"You don't mean…" Do'mah said as he stared at the bosmer.
Pentel pointed the staff at the stairs and unleashed a blast of flame.
"If the portal stays open, Draugr can enter, or maybe even another Dragon Priest," Pentel said as she walked over to the altar. She stuck the staff Into the altar, and the portal opened.
"Listen. You have to defeat Alduin. I'll remain here, to ensure you aren't followed." Pentel said as she nudged Do'mah towards the portal.
"Promise me you won't die on me, okay?" Do'mah said In a pained voice, with tears In his eyes as he handed her his other dagger.
"I won't," Pentel said.
With that reassurance, Do'mah walked Into the portal. His body faded and soon disappeared. Pentel then pulled the staff out of the altar, closing the Portal behind him. She turned to the stairs. There stood more than a dozen Draugr.
"I can't die here," Pentel said to herself, before getting ready for battle, Dagger and staff In hand.
