Chapter 19: Dog Days of Insanity
The silence was palpable, you could hear a pin drop in the room. Naruto Uzumaki and Kiba Inuzuka stared each other down, neither one backing down from the other.
"You should just give up dead-last! Save yourself a beating!" Kiba said with Akamaru yipping in response.
"Oh shut up mutt," Naruto said in a voice unbecoming of the knuckle-head ninja. "You don't know how strong I've gotten, especially with my inmate training me." As he said this, Naruto heard a wolf-whistle, from the one and only Kyōki excited for the fight.
Looking over to said inmate, we see him clad in a t shirt with Naruto's face on it, and a hat oddly shaped like the blonde's hair. "GO GET HIM BABY! YOU CAN DO IT!" Kyōki said while waving a flag that said "FIGHT" on it.
"Thanks babe!" Naruto replied, getting into a fighting stance, his blade resting against his forearm. "Let's go Kiba, let's give them a show!"
Kiba snarled, and rushed Naruto on all fours, chasing Naruto down with what he thought was superior speed.
"Too slow Kiba!" Naruto exclaimed while eyeing Inuzuka running towards him.
"There's no way you have a chance dead-last!" Kiba said, throwing a punch at the blonde, putting all his force through it, it did cause Naruto to brace more than usual, but no other effect.
"You can't win Kiba, that punch had no soul through it!" Naruto held Kiba's punch, the other arm going out and trying to slash his midsection open with his blade.
Kiba backs off, moving back to his all fours, "Okay then dead-last, I'll step up my game!" running now to the point he's almost a blur to the other genin, Kiba pops up behind Naruto, trying to go for a blind punch. He was shocked however, when Naruto back bended and let the punch wiff over him.
"Kyōki knows I'm not as strong as some people Kiba, he helped me work on my flexibility so that this exact situation would happen and I could prevent it." Continuing his back bend, Naruto brought up one of his legs to kick Kiba on the top of his head. "However, I think he has some ulterior motives for getting me to bend like this."
A faint whistling was heard as Kyōki made sure not to have any eye-contact with the Hokage, Kakashi, or Naruto.
The kick Kiba suffered through was enough to send his face down into the ground, his chest bouncing off the flood and almost taking the wind out of his sails. Grunting, he gets back up, "There's no way a dead-last, unlovable loser like you could ever beat me. Let's go Akamaru!" Kiba snarled out while throwing a soldier pill to his ninken. Never noticing how Naruto's hair shadowed his eyes.
"BEAST MIMICRY. BEAST HUMAN CLONE" At his words, a puff of smoke enveloped Kiba and Akamaru, revealing two animalistic Kiba's!
"Now with this, you have no hope and you are alone against two of us!" Both of the Kiba's pounced at Naruto, his hair still shadowing his eyes. Throwing harder punches than before, they were shocked when both were blocked by a shaking Naruto.
"OH SHIT DOG BOY FUCKED UP!" Kyōki yelled while eating his popcorn.
"Let me educate you on why you're wrong on all accounts Kiba. First off," Grabbing the Kiba clone, he slams them into each other. "I am loved, by Kyōki, by Kakashi, the Hokage, by many others." He grips his blade even tighter, his knuckles turning white. "Second off, I am not a loser anymore. I've become a fighter, and I will win. But ya know where you fucked up the most Kiba?" At this, Naruto finally shows his eyes, once light blue and full of love, they are now dark blue, the color of the raging sea, full of anger and rage. "I AM NEVER ALONE." Holding his blade to his neck, he slashes across it, "CUT HIM DOWN, SMILING BLOOD!"
Kiba was shocked, his opponent slashed his neck, in a pure suicide move, he was more shocked when instead of the small blade, Naruto held a katana. The katana was dripping blood down onto the floor, its blade black like the empty night. No one knew where the blade came from, most of all Naruto.
"Huh, that's weird, this is different from last time." Naruto was confused, he was more prepared for the 8 blades he had on his fists. "Oh well, let's see if you can keep up Kiba."
Kiba and his clone braced themselves, their hands coming up to ensure Naruto didn't come close.
"SMILE STYLE: BLOOD FLICK!" For some odd reason, Naruto started flicking the blood across the arena, almost randomly. "See now let's break this open!" Naruto ran towards the two Kibas his blade held high into the air.
'This isn't good, the amount of blood is clogging up my nose! I can't get a good track on him!' Kiba thought while Akamaru rushed in for a quick punch that actually broke through Naruto's defence.
Kiba was even more shocked when the Naruto in front of him dissolved into blood. "WHAT THE FUCK."
"I told you Kiba, I AM NEVER ALONE." As he said this, a new Naruto, appeared from one of the small pools of blood. Again holding his sword ready, he charged.
"AKAMARU, GO ALL OUT! FANG OVER FANG." Kiba and Akamaru both started spinning towards Naruto, drilling into him like a tornado of fangs, claws, and power. But again, this Naruto dissolved into blood. And another Naruto popped out of the nearest pool of blood. "SMILE STYLE: BLOOD BURST." Naruto exclaimed while multiple Narutos started popping up out of the blood pools. "Good bye Kiba, thank you for showing me my new power."
Kiba and Akamaru then looked towards the Naruto clones circling them, back to back they faced off against Naruto. "Naruto what the fuck is this?" Kiba asked, a bead of sweat bearing down on his face.
"This is. Your end. SMILE STYLE: BLOOD RUSH." Naruto started from one point of the circle and rushed to another Naruto at an angle. As he ran by the two Kibas, he slashed across their chests. Meeting the other Naruto on his path, he, for lack of a better term, bounced off him, absorbing the blood into the blade. Naruto continued to do this, bouncing and slashing around the circle, each time absorbing more blood into his blade.
Stopping after he ran out of Naruto clones, Naruto stood, his back facing Kiba. In total, the Inuzuka was slashed across his body 21 times by our favorite blond. A poof of smoke alerted all present that Kiba and Akamaru both fell down on the floor, defeated.
"Your blood will be used to achieve great things Kiba, never let others tell you otherwise." Naruto said, his katana going back into its small form, pocketing the blade, he turned back towards Kyōki, and he smiled.
"The victor has been decided! Naruto Uzumaki will move on to the finals!" Gekko yelled out.
Naruto walked back up towards his boyfriend, who hasn't taken his eyes off the blond. "Heya sweetheart. I hope that was enough of a show for yo-" Naruto then took this exact moment to pass out. Falling into Kyōki's arms, at least we know he is safe.
"Will Shikamaru Nara and Kin Tsuchi please come on down?" Gekko questioned the two teens, both of them walking down into the arena.
(YEAH NOPE. SAME AS CANON, I HAVE TO DO THIS MINDSCAPE SEQUENCE.)
****BREAK*****
Naruto woke up to the sewer system, his head spinning he punched the water he was sitting in. "GOD DAMMIT." Naruto looked up as he saw two figures walking towards him.
"It's okay Naruto, we're here to talk to you." A familiar voice said to Naruto.
Looking up, Naruto noticed the new figure was 5'8", with almost feminine features. His hair was long on the top, but short on the sides, revealing the small glimmers of red in the black hair. His face was delicate, very easily one of the cutest you'd have seen. His clothes were a simple black fighter's gi, taken off his torso exposing his flat toned body. Completely hairless, the young man was a pinnacle of beauty and desire.
Naruto blushed at this cute boy looking at him with a smile, "Wait a minute, are you the voice from the static in the forest?"
"Excellent! You remember!" Clapping and jumping up and down, the boy was smiling even more. " My actual name is Sumairu, and I am half of your blade." The newly named Sumairu explained to an excited Naruto.
"Don't ignore me! I am the other half your blade, Ketsueki." Naruto turned towards the other figure, and looking him up and down, Naruto let his jaw drop.
The young man in front of him was less delicate and more gruff, but that still didn't take away his beauty. Standing at 5'9", the figure was clad in a simple red kimono. Showing off his toned chest, it made Naruto think what it would be like to run his tongue over the muscles. Looking up towards the face of the man, Naruto saw a face defined with a jawline, his eyes sharp and ready for anything, his shoulder length hair blew in an almost ethereal way.
"Naruto, you finally used my power, you are almost ready to show the world what we can do." Ketsueki replied, softly smiling at the young boy.
"Wait that's actually what I was going to ask about, why do I have two different sword powers."
"That is simple Naruto. When you first called my name, I answered, and I control most of your blade's power." Sumairu answered happily, "and of course, you called the most beautiful name first."
A small tic mark appeared on Ketsueki's face. "Don't let the twink think otherwise, we are equally as powerful, he just doesn't understand it yet."
"Now since we are two different spirits Naruto, of course you're gonna have two different powers, and that grumpy jock over there won't ever admit to being one spirit."
"Dammit Suma, he doesn't want to hear about our quarrels, he wants to hear how we came to be." Naruto's head was shaking back and forth between the two, almost like watching a tennis game.
"We came to be Naruto because throughout your life there have been two constants: smiling and blood. Your mind created both of us to help cope with all the stress you were being put through."
"What Ketsu is trying to say, jarhead he is, is that you are insanely lucky. You have two amazing spirits who are holding back the insanity within you, if you didn't have us, you would become a monster." Sumairu replied.
Naruto looked up and saw the actual smiles on the two's faces, he stated just one simple question. "When are you two gonna fuck?"
The sound of the two spirits face-faulting into the ground was only beat by the sound of Naruto's joyus laughter.
