Departure for a new Continent
As promised, Noah presented his guests with their newly modified digivices. They all still looked the same, but took on different shapes and even came in different colors to tell each one apart. Kaiba's was red, Max's was purple, Serenity's was lavender, Yugi's was dark blue, Téa's was pink, Emily's was white, Joey's was yellow, Bakura's was green, Duke's was brown, Tristan's was gray, and Mokuba's was orange.
"I've arranged for an airship to take you to the continent," Noah told everyone. "They'll be taking off in an hour. If you'd like, I'd be glad to escort you to the docks."
"I think we'd like that," said Emily. Her friends agreed. So everyone gathered their supplies and headed out with Noah leading the way.
Noah brought them to their destination. "I've done all I can at this point," he told them. "I can only give you a few last warnings. This airship will take you as far as the shores of the continent. Once you disembark, you're on your own. Digimon will still come after you and try to stop you from seeking out the Digimon sovereigns, so be careful."
"That and we may end up meeting the Big Five on the way," said Yugi.
I know you'll succeed in stopping my father and the Big Five as you did before," said Noah. "And I sincerely hope you'll be able to return to your world."
"Thanks again for everything, Noah," Mokuba said to his stepbrother. After saying their goodbyes, everyone boarded the airship.
Noah watched on as the ship sailed away in the skies. "I'm glad I got to see my brothers and friends again and I'm amazed with how much they've all changed since I last saw them. There's no doubt in my mind they'll succeed," he told himself.
The airship's crew consisted of the following Digimon: Zephyrmon, Valkyrimon, Harpymon, Lillymon, and Ravemon. Zephyrmon was the captain of the airship and Valkyrimon was her first mate. They first worked in the tourism business, but then they changed to flight business to help Digimon get from Highlight Haven to the continent as well as deliver goods to the continent as well.
Joey was starting to feel airsick. "How long until we reach the continent?"
"Will you pull yourself together, Joey?" Max asked. "We just left."
"The altitude is making me dizzy," he was saying, "nauseous too."
"Maybe you should head back to the cabin and try to rest," his sister suggested. Joey agreed and retired to bed.
"I should think he'd be used to it by now," Kaiba figured, "concerning that he can fly."
"Flying with wings is a little different from flying on an airship," his brother reminded him.
"If the weather stays calm, we'll reach the continent by sundown," said Zephyrmon. "You kids are free to explore the ship if you want. We also have some games and activities you can play with to pass the time and we have food for when you get hungry."
"Thanks, Zephyrmon," Téa said.
Meanwhile, far away in a land of darkness, five elite Digimon were gathered together around a table. There was Machinedramon, Neptunemon, Duftmon, Beelzemon, and GigaSeadramon.
"The Digidestined, if you could actually call them so, are on their way to the continent," said Duftmon.
"That means they've already met up with Noah," said Beelzemon.
"We cannot let them seek out the four Digimon sovereigns," said Machinedramon. "If they do, we will be terminated."
Beelzemon agreed. "We barely survived our battle with those four divine monsters. It took everything we had to escape from them before they could eliminate us."
"Plus, who knows what those brats and their Digimon will do once they see us," GigaSeadramon added with worry.
"They are of no threat to us at the moment," Neptunemon assured his comrades. "Their Digimon are only able to reach their ultimate forms right now. Still, we can't allow them to obtain the power to fully digivolve. I suppose it's time to send our next subject to work."
Beelzemon gave it some thought. "I suppose you're right. Those kids don't know how to use the full power of digivolution, so really it doesn't matter if their Digimon can digivolve into their ultimate forms."
"And we must prevent them from discovering that power," Machinedramon added.
Duftmon rose from his seat. "I'll bring forth the candidate." He left the table and approached the door to a hall and knocked on it.
"Enter," a grim voice permitted.
Duftmon invited himself inside. "I came to inform you that the Digidestined children we warned you about will be arriving at the continent tonight."
The Digimon grinned and said, "That means Devimon failed his mission. I'm glad he did. This means I can look forward to devastating those kids."
"And you will be handsomely rewarded by our master," Duftmon promised. "Are you up for the task, my friend?"
The Digimon stepped out of the darkness of his room. It was a vampire-like Digimon named Myotismon. He had ghostly pale skin, dark blonde hair, a red violet bat-shaped mask over his eyes, a blue suit, and a black cape. He held his cape over his body to conceal himself. "I'm ready to face the Digidestined."
A carriage was provided for Myotismon to transport him to the destination the heroes were scheduled to arrive at. GigaSeadramon had his doubts. "Can we really trust Myotismon to handle those kids? Not even Devimon could handle them."
"Myotismon may be an ultimate Digimon, but he has incredible power," Neptunemon assured him.
Even Beelzemon wasn't too sure. "But if Myotismon can't defeat them, we may not stand a chance. Those kids beat us once before."
"That was in the virtual world," Neptunemon reminded him. "Here in Digiworld, we have all sorts of powers and advantages we didn't have before. Other than that, the children are still inexperienced with their Digimon while we have lived in this world longer than they have."
"When you put it that way, we really do have nothing to fear," said Duftmon. "For now, all we do is wait."
