SOMEWHERE ON EARTH
Gohan arrives on the scene where Goten, Trunks and Piccolo are fighting Buu. The three are very happy to see him, with Piccolo sensing a great change in Gohan.
GOHAN: Thank God I got here on time.
TRUNKS: Gohan!
GOTEN: Big Bother! You're not dead!
GOHAN: It was a close one, but the Supreme Kai saved me and took me to his planet. That's where I came from before coming here.
PICCOLO: (on his mind) Is that really Gohan? There's something different about him. He looks calmer and more confident. His ki is also different. It's... it seems rearranged.
GOHAN: Where are the others?
TRUNKS: They were all killed by Buu.
GOHAN: Even Mother and Dende?
GOTEN: Yes. Everyone.
Gohan is enraged at what he heard.
GOHAN: (on his mind) Even Dende! Now we won't be able to use the dragon balls to bring back everyone else!
MAJIN BUU: (evil laugh) They were delicious. I turned them into chocolates and ate them.
GOHAN: (on his mind) Wait... I can sense a life force. It's faint, but it's out there.
Gohan smiles confidently. He then walks to Buu, sizing him up.
MAJIN BUU: Hey! What do you want? Do you intend to fight me?
GOHAN: Fight you? No, I'm going to kill you.
MAJIN BUU: (mocking laugh) I remember you. I beat the hell out of you.
GOTEN: Trunks, let's fuse together and help Gohan!
TRUNKS: We can't do it again this soon! We have to wait.
GOTEN: We've got to! Let's try it!
Gohan suddenly moves, punching Majin Buu and shocking him with the power he has. It's not only Buu who's shocked, but the three spectators as well.
Majin Buu fights back, and the two engaged in battle that is so intense. Gohan shocked Piccolo and the two kids, amazed at how Gohan was able to keep up with Buu.
GOHAN: You can't win, Buu. Not against me.
Majin Buu is enraged.
MAJIN BUU: So, it was you.
GOHAN: Huh? What are you talking about?
MAJIN BUU: Very far away, I felt a strong power rising... I can't let someone get stronger than me.
GOHAN: But you allowed me to finish because you want to test me out... Too bad, Majin Buu. You shouldn't have allowed me to come.
Majin Buu is enraged at Gohan's confidence.
MAJIN BUU: Listen carefully!
GOHAN: Hmn?
MAJIN BUU: I WILL KILL YOU!
GOHAN: (unfazed) You know that is impossible.
MAJIN BUU: (sneers) I'm already looking forward to that.
Majin Buu creates a big energy bomb. Gohan sees it, and before the bomb explodes, he took Piccolo, Goten and Trunks with him and flew away.
GOTEN: You saved us!
GOHAN: Are you alright?
GOTEN: Yeah!
TRUNKS: That was close.
PICCOLO: I can't believe he'll blow himself up.
Gohan takes the three to a safe distance. They look on but Buu is nowhere to be seen.
PICCOLO: Do you think Buu's dead?
GOHAN: No.
TRUNKS: But he exploded! He was trying to catch you in the explosion, but he exploded himself.
GOHAN: If he wants me to be caught in that explosion then it should have been big enough it could blow the entire planet.
PICCOLO: So why do you think he'd do that? To hide from you? I can't feel his ki anymore.
GOHAN: He knows how to hide his ki.
GOTEN: So he's hiding and he's waiting to attack?
GOHAN: I don't know, but I'm sure he's planning something.
TRUNKS: Even if he's alive he still doesn't stand a chance. He can't even touch Gohan. Gohan is probably as strong as a Super Gotenks.
GOTEN: No, he's stronger.
TRUNKS: Well, maybe a little.
PICCOLO: Tell me Gohan, how did you get this strong?
GOHAN: (smiles) I trained with Dad.
GOTEN: Really? You trained with Dad so you became that strong?
Gohan holds Goten's head.
GOHAN: Yeah... But more than that, there is this Old Kai. He unleashed my latent power.
GOTEN: What's a la... lei...
TRUNKS: It's latent power, Goten.
GOTEN: Oh yeah... What is it, Trunks?
Trunks looks at Goten. Not knowing how to answer that, Trunks turn to Gohan.
TRUNKS: You explain, you're the one who said it, right?
Gohan smiles at the kids.
GOHAN: It's the power that's hiding inside you. He made me harness it.
PICCOLO: So that's how it is.
GOHAN: By the way, who's got the radar?
TRUNKS: I gave it to Piccolo.
PICCOLO: Yeah, I do have it but with Dende gone, we still could not use the dragon balls.
GOHAN: Don't worry. Dende is still alive. I still can sense him.
Piccolo concentrates to sense Dende.
PICCOLO: You're right! The energy is faint but it's definitely Dende.
GOHAN: Let's go search for him.
The four of them flies away. They see the remnants of Buu's actions.
TRUNKS: That monster! He really killed everyone.
GOTEN: You're right.
GOHAN: (senses something) Hmn?
PICCOLO: There's someone down there!
GOHAN: I can sense him as well.
The four of them looks down. They see Mr. Satan with the dog that Good Buu saved.
TRUNKS: That's Mr. Satan! He's still alive? Let's just let him be.
PICCOLO: No! He tried to save the world from Majin Buu, so I can say he has the beginnings of a hero. Let's take him with us.
Piccolo grabs Mr. Satan and Goten took the dog. Mr. Satan sees Gohan.
MR. SATAN: You?
GOHAN: Hello!
MR. SATAN: Weren't you the kid from the tournament?
GOHAN: Ah... yes?
MR. SATAN: You punk! Where did you take my daughter?
Gohan's face suddenly saddens.
MR. SATAN: Where's Videl? What happened to my Videl?
PICCOLO: She's gone.
Anger takes over Gohan, though he manages to keep himself calm and composed.
MR. SATAN: (to Gohan) What did you do to her?
PICCOLO: It was Majin Buu who killed her. So as the others. You probably know by now that everyone else is dead.
MR. SATAN: I know... I thought I was all alone.
PICCOLO: We could turn her back later. We just have to find someone.
MR. SATAN: God?
PICCOLO: You can say that.
They continue flying while Mr. Satan continue crying about what happened to Videl.
MR. SATAN: Videl... my baby girl.
Piccolo is starting to get pissed. Not just because he's annoyed with Mr. Satan, but he bringing up Videl makes Gohan a little distressed. Piccolo can sense that as he looks at him. He has to do something to make Gohan focused again.
PICCOLO: I'm wondering why Buu didn't kill Dende. He has all the time in the world to find and kill him.
GOHAN: Where were you when he took the others?
PICCOLO: We were in the Hyperbolic Time Chamber. That's where he fought with Gotenks. I was planning to seal us all there if we weren't able to defeat him.
GOHAN: And he got out?
PICCOLO: I have to say, he was really strong enough to break into the other dimension.
TRUNKS: He screamed, and the wall suddenly opened.
GOTEN: Yes, we tried to do it, too but it was too difficult for us.
GOHAN: Good thing you were able to go out.
PICCOLO: Yeah...
GOHAN: I'm guessing you came out right after he did. You just thought a lot of time had passed because the time there is distorted.
PICCOLO: You're right! I can't believe I got that all mixed up. The time it took for us to get out might only have been ten seconds here outside.
GOHAN: Yeah, maybe... Huh?
Gohan senses Dende, who sensed them as well.
GOHAN: He's over there!
The group goes to Dende. All of them are happy to meet each other, except for Mr. Satan who is still a little dazed at everything that's happening.
PICCOLO: Dende! I'm so glad you escaped.
DENDE: Mr. Popo said that I should live, lest we won't be able to use the dragon balls.
PICCOLO: He's right. Without the dragon balls we won't be able to bring everyone back.
MR. SATAN: Who's that brat?
TRUNKS: He's not a brat. He's God.
MR. SATAN: Huh? You're God?
Mr. Satan goes to Dende and clings onto him.
MR. SATAN: Are you really gonna bring my Videl back to life?
DENDE: Uh...
GOTEN: Relax, Mister. We can really bring her back to life, but after my brother is done with the monster.
MR. SATAN: Brother? (looks at Gohan) You mean, him?
GOTEN: (nods) Uh-uh...
MR. SATAN: He doesn't seem strong for me.
GOTEN: But he's strong! You just watch and you'll see.
The four warriors are suddenly alerted. Even Dende sensed what they were feeling.
TRUNKS: It's Majin Buu!
PICCOLO: Impossible! He was able to change in just an hour.
GOHAN: I'm going to finish this now. Stay out and don't get involved.
Gohan flies away to Buu. They meet halfway, both of them ready to fight each other. The others watch in a safe distance.
GOHAN: (to himself) Let's see what's changed in him.
Gohan looks at Buu, analyzing his whole existence.
GOHAN: (on his mind) Nothing's changed in him. This is odd.
MAJIN BUU: Hey you, little kids! I want to fight you again!
GOHAN: What? (on his mind) What's he planning? Whatever it is, it shouldn't happen. (to Majin Buu) You're mistaken! I'm the one you're fighting.
MAJIN BUU: I want to finish the fight with the brats. Then I'm fighting you.
GOHAN Why? Am I not the one you want to fight with?
Majin Buu ignores Gohan.
MAJIN BUU: What's wrong, brats? What happened to your guts?
TRUNKS: What did he say?
GOTEN: We're not afraid of you!
TRUNKS: Looks like you're still the same. If only we didn't change back to normal, then we could have beaten you.
MAJIN BUU: So what's wrong? Why don't you want to fight now? Are you scared?
GOTEN: We're not scared! Trunks, let's go get him.
TRUNKS: Of course, Goten! We can't just let him insult us.
PICCOLO: Something's not right.
TRUNKS: You're thinking too much, Piccolo. What can he possibly do?
PICCOLO: Huh?
TRUNKS: Come on, Goten! Now's a perfect timing.
GOTEN: Okay! Let's start with Super Gotenks!
Goten and Trunks fused. Gohan looks at the two as he has never seen them fused before.
PICCOLO: Hey!
GOTENKS: I'm back! I'm the defender of justice, Super Gotenks!
Gotenks flies to Gohan.
PICCOLO: Hey wait!
But Piccolo can't do anything anymore. Gotenks is already in the warzone.
GOTENKS: (to Gohan) Let me handle this, Gohan. You might not need to fight anymore.
GOHAN: Okay, but be careful.
MAJIN BUU: Let's do this!
GOTENKS: Okay, but get ready to die! I'm going to finish you off!
But before they could even start, a stash of pink fluid-like material suddenly engulfs Gotenks. But it's not only Gotenks that was absorbed. Piccolo was also taken by a similar thing.
DENDE: Piccolo!
GOHAN: You bastard!
The pink objects fly onto Majin Buu.
GOHAN: What are you doing?
MAJIN BUU: They're mine!
The pink objects fused into Majin Buu. He then transforms, getting the essence of Piccolo, but more so, Gotenks since he was the last one he absorbed.
GOHAN: You monster!
Gohan is really enraged.
MAJIN BUU: Do you like it, Gohan? It looks like my plan worked. Now this is the birth of the strongest possible Majin Buu. No one can be stronger than me.
GOHAN: You bastard! Sucking those two and merging them into you.
MAJIN BUU: It's your fault. You're stronger than me so I have to be stronger. Back when I sensed that great energy from a far-off place, I thought that if I could absorb Gotenks then I will be stronger. But then I heard there is a limit to their power, so I have to wait until they are fused again.
GOHAN: Oh really? You're still an idiot. If you really wanted to become the strongest, then you could have absorbed me instead.
MAJIN BUU: You don't get it. What's the point of being the strongest if you are alone?
GOHAN: What?
MAJIN BUU: Didn't you hear my previous self? I'm going to destroy you. That's my ultimate plan.
GOHAN: Really?
MAJIN BUU: Well then, let's begin. It seems like there's a time limit on this Super Gotenks transformation.
GOHAN: (on his mind) So that's the reason why he absorbed Piccolo. For his wisdom.
Gohan charges in, and if before Majin Buu could not even touch him, this time they seem to be of equal strength. It actually seems like Majin Buu is taking the upper hand.
MR. SATAN: What... what in the world...
DENDE: Gohan is fighting in a different level, but Majin Buu is holding himself up.
The two of them try to hide as a big explosion was released by Buu. Gohan was able to dodge, hiding his ki to hide and think of a strategy.
MAJIN BUU: Why did you try to hide your ki? Are you trying to buy some time? This means you have analyzed my weakness, but still, you're no match for me.
GOHAN: Shut up!
Gohan attacks again, but Buu just countered using the techniques he got from Gotenks.
MAJIN BUU: That's one of Gotenks' techniques. How does it feel to be beaten by a friend's attack?
DENDE: He's losing! He needs help!
MR. SATAN: I thought that punk is strong enough to beat Buu?
DENDE: He was, but Majin Buu absorbed Gotenks and Piccolo. Their powers and abilities were added to him, and Gohan is fighting just by himself.
MR. SATAN: Then why don't you go help him? I thought you're God?
DENDE: I can't. I'm not strong enough. And even so, I can't let myself die because if I die, we won't be able to wish everyone back.
Mr. Satan looks at Gohan, who is still struggling to get away from the Galactic Donut.
MAJIN BUU: Now I'm using one of your attacks. I know this is how you wanna die.
Majin Buu forms the Kamehameha.
MAJIN BUU: I thought you'll be fun, but you're pretty boring.
Before Majin Buu can release the Kamehameha, Gohan was able to free himself from Gotenks' Galactic Donut.
MAJIN BUU: Well... looks like you're a persistent bastard.
Gohan looks at Majin Buu as he tries to recollect his strength.
GOHAN: (on his mind) His strength rose exponentially upon absorbing the two. How am I supposed to beat him?
MAJIN BUU: What's wrong? Why'd you stop fighting?
Left with no choice, Gohan attacks again. The two of them exchanged energy attacks that transcended up to the outer space. But the Fused Majin proves to be stronger than Gohan. The half-Saiyan is choking himself on Majin Buu's antenna.
MAJIN BUU: I have 10 more minutes. I'm going to absorb you and make you part of myself as well!
MR. SATAN: He's losing!
Dende has to make a decision. As much as he needs to stay alive, no one is there to help Gohan.
DENDE: (to Mr. Satan) Take the dog and leave!
MR. SATAN: I have this. (takes out a gun) I brought it just in case.
Mr. Satan fires the gun, distracting Buu. He puts down Gohan, then blasts an energy attack at Mr. Satan, which he fortunately was able to dodge.
Dende immediately goes to Gohan.
DENDE: Gohan! I'll heal you!
When Majin Buu recovered, Gohan is completely healed.
MAJIN BUU: Now, I'm going to finish this- Huh?
Gohan is already standing.
GOHAN: Thanks, Dende.
MAJIN BUU: Impossible! I almost killed him.
Majin Buu sees Dende.
MAJIN BUU: (to himself) Who is that kid? Is he the one who healed him? (wicked chuckle) Prolonging the agony, huh?
Majin Buu gives Gohan a kiai attack, which he was able to block off. But that was not Buu's real intention. Buu fires a Finger Beam at Dende. Gohan was late to realize what is about to happen.
GOHAN: No!
But the beam suddenly disappeared. Gohan looks around trying to find the person who made the beam disappear, and also sensing the familiar ki around.
GOHAN: Tien Shinhan!
TIEN: Gohan... you've changed a lot. (looks at Buu) And so are you, Majin Buu.
MAJIN BUU: A small fry has appeared. As if it matters.
Majin Buu prepares a big energy bomb, large enough to blow up the Earth.
MAJIN BUU: You shrimps can explode with the earth!
Tien and Gohan looks up as there is nothing they can do. But before Buu can throw the bomb, Goku appears behind him, cutting him in half using Destructo Disc.
GOHAN: Dad! What is he doing here?
MAJIN BUU: You... You're the guy with a lot of transformation. Do you think you can help? I'm a lot stronger than the one you fought with.
Goku gives him his signature wide smile.
GOKU: Laugh till you can, Majin Buu! I prepared something to beat you up.
GOHAN: Huh?
MAJIN BUU: What are you talking about?
Slowly, Buu's lower half goes behind Tien, knocking him off with a single kick on the face.
GOKU: You bastard!
Buu once again reconnects his body.
MAJIN BUU: One kick, that's all it takes.
GOKU: Then, why did you restore your body? You're scared, aren't you?
MAJIN BUU: It looks like you want to die, too.
Goku just smiles confidently.
GOKU: Gohan, catch!
Goku throws the potara earring at Gohan, which he missed. Goku was dumbfounded.
GOHAN: What is that?
GOKU: It's a potara earring! Go and find it so that you can join with me.
MAJIN BUU: What? Join? So that's your plan? But it won't work because I'm going to kill you!
GOKU: Ah... can you wait a little longer?
GOHAN: I can't find it, Dad!
Goku was left with no choice. He instantly transforms into Super Saiyan 3. Majin Buu attacks, and the two engaged into a fight.
GOHAN: Dad, I found it!
Goku looks at Gohan.
GOHAN: Doesn't this belong to the Old Kai? What should I do with it?
Not only did Goku stops, but Majin Buu suddenly changes into something resembling Piccolo's outfit.
GOKU: (laughs confidently) Piccolo is showing up. That means the fusion has lost its effect. You're out of time. Too bad you lost a lot of power.
Goku transforms back to his normal form.
GOKU: It seems like we don't need to fuse anymore. Gohan alone can beat you.
Majin Buu seems worried, but only for a while. He once again flashed his confident smile.
MAJIN BUU: I left some insurance in case this thing happens.
GOKU: Huh?
Majin Buu shows Goku his tail-like horn.
MAJIN BUU: This part you cut off, why didn't you think I didn't put it on?
It was too late for all of them to realize what happened. Particularly, Gohan. He wasn't able to do anything when a pink fluid-like thing started enveloping him.
GOKU: Gohan!
Gohan wanted to call his father, but the pink thing is very strong that even if he struggles, he still can't get out. His last instinct told him to let go of the potara earring that he's holding.
GOHAN: (on his mind) Dad... I'm counting on you... we're all... counting on... you...
Kiai - a technique where the user affects the air currents around him with ki to produce powerful shockwaves in order to strike the opponent.
Finger Beam – a technique where the user holds out their index finger and releases an energy beam from their fingertip.
Destructo Disc - razor-sharp disc of ki that can slice through almost any substance.
Galactic Donut – an attack executed by raising the index finger into the air and circling it above the head to create a yellow ring of energy thrown to the opponent that grips and traps him/her within the circular attack.
