Chapter 22: War on Zilhkstan part IV
Pendragon capital of Britannia
Euphie and Clovis were being told by Schneizel of everything that has happened from the moment Lelouch became Emperor and revealed the truth about his plans, his disappearance, to the discovery of a new world, Nunnally's kidnapping, Lelouch's declaration of war on Zilkhstan.
"I dug further into secrets father and Lelouch was brainwashed by father when he was captured during the failed pendragon attack, he was known as Julius Kingsley and went to E.U along with Suzaku"
Kanon soon entered the room and whispered something to Schneizel. Schneizel nodded and got up and told them he had to go but if they wanted to know what was happening they could listen in on the coms. Euphie and Clovis both left to listen in on the coms.
Gralbahd capital of the Zilkhstan kingdom.
"This is quite the pickle you got yourself into Shamna" said the hooded figure.
"I made counter measures to stop them yet they managed to beat me again" Shamna said, pulling out her pistol to try again.
"Upupupupu I wouldn't...it's clear they must know you possess a Geass and that it allows you to travel back 9+ hours back in time" the hooded figure said lowering the pistol.
Outside the temple where Shamna and Nunnally are located
W-0, Lelouch, Suzaku, Kallen, Jeremiah and their squads all charge the temple but are met by more enemy forces. W-0 and Suzaku's squad are to flank left, Kallen and Jeremiah's squads flank right while Lelouch's team distract the enemy.
"Lelouch why don't you use your powers to destroy them?"
"I'd like to refrain from using powers I know so little about,"
Lelouch fired his slash harkens destroying a Knightmares mounted on the top of the temple. More KMFs fire at the Shinkirō Zareis Prototype causing Lelouch to use the blaze luminous shield to protect himself. 'And 3..2..1' BOOM! The Knightmares firing at him were all destroyed. All the knightmares hiding in and around the temple have been destroyed. Lelouch flies through the temple with everyone else following behind him. After flying for a while inside the temple Lelouch destroys a wall where Shamna and Nunnally are located, Lelouch exits his Knightmare frame.
Shamna awoke from her pod and saw her guards on the ground knocked out and Emperor Lelouch was standing in front of his KMF across from Shamna.
"I thought you'd be taller for a Emperor"
"Are you trying to gain access to C's World?"
"I see. So that's what's going on."
"Is it true that in 4 hours you'll bomb this place?"
"Yes"
"Shamna do you know why I became Emperor? Why I wanted to create a peaceful world instead of ruling it?"
Shamna wasn't amused or fazed at all and pulled out her gun aiming it at Lelouch's stomach.
"I'm sure you know, afterall we share the same Geass"
Shamna stared at him shocked. The same Geass as her? He must be joking U.U never said it was possible for someone to have the same Geass as someone else.
"What's the matter? You're free to use your Geass."
"Insolent fool, why don't you show me your power first?" Shamna said tapping her staff on the ground, her guards held Lelouch in a choke hold.
"Don't kill him! You must not kill him!" pointing her staff at Lelouch.
"Yes now my theory is correct" Lelouch said snapping his fingers pointing to Shamna causing the guards holding Lelouch to let go revealing a red glow on their eyes and the others surrounding Shamna aiming their spears at her. Shamna was caught off guard by this move, she wasn't expecting this.
"Hmph, what I guessed was you had a Geass that allowed you to send your subconscious back 9+ hours of the day, meaning all your prophecies were just you sending your subconscious back 9+ hours."
"Don't you wish you could've had a better future? One where your mother was never killed, Japan was never invaded, one where you had a caring family, one where your sister could still walk and see?"
"The future is the sum of many people...there will be mistakes and failures, to be sure"
"I am…"
"right..." Shamna's eyes glowed red. Struggling to break free.
"Then what will you do? Kill me? Me, Shamna?"
Lelouch shook his head. " You're going to sleep forevermore!" Lelouch said activating his Geass fully
"Sleep?" She responded before her eyes shut and her body fell being caught by her guards and placed her in her pod.
Soon clapping echoed, the room Lelouch turned his attention to where the sound was coming from saw a hooded figure appear from the dark corner.
"Very good Lelouch"
"Who are you?"
"I am U.U another immortal…"
"Don't worry I'm not here to harm you I just came to congratulate you on your victory"
"I'm guessing you were the one who gave Shamna her Geass?"
"Indeed but she is a failure both her and her Geass are failures. Originally her Geass allowed her to see the future not send her subconscious back 9+ hours in the past and so it changed along with her ideology"
"I don't know what her ideology was originally I tend to not stick around"
"How do I know you won't cause any harm to my plans for peace?"
"I won't all I want is someone to fulfill my wish"
Lelouch didn't ask what his wish was because he knew what it was. He wished to die and pass on his code to another person.
"Very well then I'll be taking my sister U.U"
"Go ahead, I have no use for her. She deserves a life of peace"
U.U said opening the pod containing Nunnally and carrying her to Lelouch who picked her up and got in the Shinkirō Zareis Prototype and left making his way to his battleship.
1 hour later on the Redemption Nunnally awakes from her sleep.
Nunnally was able to open her eyes again shocking everyone in the room then one of the nurses spoke up.
"Nunnally's awake someone go inform his majesty she's awake"
"Where am I?" Nunnally asked
"You are on your brother's battleship called the Redemption and we're headed back to Pendragon after Zilkhstan had held you hostage."
The med bays door opened revealing Lelouch, Suzaku, Kallen, Jeremiah, Cornelia, and eight people she didn't recognize, one with cat ears.
Lelouch told the doctors and nurses to leave them as they needed some time to themselves, they all nodded and left.
"Nunnally your eyes!" Lelouch said, tearing up rushing to her giving her a hug.
"I never thought you'd be able to see again"
"I wouldn't be able to but someone called the collective unconscious helped me see again and showed me what our mother and father had planned"
"How could she betray us like that?"
Lelouch continued to hug her and repeated the words 'I know'
"That doesn't matter right now, what matters is you're okay and can see again...Nunnally there's a few things I want to tell you"
"These people are my friends from another world called Remnant and helped me while I was staying there. This is Ruby Rose, Weiss Schnee, Blake Belladonna, and Yang Xao Long. The others are Jaune Arc, Pyrrah Nikos, Li Ren, and Nora Valkyrie."
They greeted Nunnally and said she had a great brother, they told her how he helped them out while there.
"Another thing is Blake here is 1. What is called a Faunus which is a human with animal traits and 2. Blake is my girlfriend or one of them" Lelouch says staring at Kallen catching her off guard which made everyone in the room giggle a bit. "Kallen it's clear you have feelings for me and I won't deny that I too have feelings for you and C.C"
"Kallen you were there when I thought I lost Nunnally and was broken and was prepared to use refrain on myself, C.C you were there for me when I didn't know what to do you helped me see things I had never seen before, and Blake you along with the rest of team RWBY showed me what it means to be a family"
"without the three of you or without any of you I wouldn't be who I am today." Lelouch said.
"Big brother why aren't you wearing your ashford uniform or your street clothes?"
"Because I run the Empire now Nunnally, remember when you said you wanted to live in a gentler world?I've doing that for not only you but for everyone I care about in my life that includes Shirley who is no longer with us Nunnally"
Nunnally could see the pain in his eyes her big brother was still hurting on the inside. Nunnally turned her head to Suzaku and asked him to come over. Suzaku walked over and sat by Nunnally and received a slap to the face.
"How could! How could you betray big brother like that?"
"Suzaku what does she mean?" Cornelia asked with a angered tone.
"Lelouch was Zero and brought him to father after the battle on Kamine island and asked to be a knight of the round in exchange for Lelouch. Father then brainwashed Lelouch twice, first making him believe to be someone called Julius Kingsley and the second making him think I never existed and he had a brother not a sister."
Suzaku received another slap this time from Cornelia but hers was a lot harder than Nunnally's slap.
"Lelouch was your best friend Suzaku, I know you wanted to make him pay for putting Euphie in a coma but Lelouch told us that he did it to free her. So she wouldn't be a shell like Lelouch had become"
"I know I realized that too late and I regret my decision"
Nunnally was happy that Suzaku and Lelouch forgave each other but she wasn't happy that he betrayed him like that.
"Lelouch I'd like to talk to Kallen, Conelia, C.C and Blake real quick"
"Very well Nunnally, we'll leave you all alone I'll be on the deck if you need me" Lelouch said leaving with everyone leaving the med bay.
Lelouch was greeted by his generals who helped him.
"Gentleman I thank you all for devoting this time to fight Zilkhstan as a gratitude for your service. I order you all to spend time with your family and please tell them the Emperor says hi."
"Thank you, your majesty" They all said bowing.
"Contact Schneizel and inform him that Nunnally has been rescued and we are headed back to the mainland and will arrive in 7.5 hours."
"Kallen, C.C, Blake you all have feelings for Lelouch and I just want him to be happy and I want you all to be with my brother. Blake I understand you're new to this but the Emperor can marry hundreds of women but that doesn't mean he doesn't have a favourite which clearly is you so don't feel left out or jealous"
"We need to make a plan where you each go on a date with him."
*8 hours later*
Lelouch's battleship the Redemption lands in Pendragon. The side door opens with Lelouch, Nunnally, Suzaku, Kallen, C.C, Cornelia, Jeremiah, Team RWBY, Team JNPR, Lloyd, Cecile, and Rakshata. Schneizel along with the rest of the royal family and the knights of the round.
"Welcome home sister," Schneizel said, seeing Nunnally's eyes open.
"Your eyes, you can see again"
"Yes I can see again Schneizel"
"We have some good news, Clovis and Euphie have woken up from their comas."
Everyone was shocked but happy they were awake but Lelouch was the only one who didn't want to think about it. Lelouch escorted Nunnally to her room inside the newly constructed Aries Villa, after they arrived inside their home and escorted her to her room. Lelouch went to leave and go relax but was stopped by Nunnally.
"Big brother I know you can't bear to see Clovis or Euphie and I understand why you don't have to meet them or anything just stay here with Blake and the rest of Team RWBY and JNPR."
"Okay!"
"Nunnally we're so happy to see you again and we heard you can see again. How's Lelouch?"
"He's good but…"
Clovis and Euphies' faces went from happy to concerned.
"What's wrong Nunnally?"
"Lelouch doesn't want to see you guys because of what he did to you both"
"We understand he cares for us, is there any way to get him to talk to us?"
Then a knock on the door was heard and the three turned to see Blake and Ruby standing in the door.
"Blake, Ruby I thought you guys were hanging out with Lelouch?"
"We were but he went to sleep and said he was gonna talk to Ozpin tomorrow and figure out what to do"
"Euphie Clovis meet Ruby and Blake from Remnant where Lelouch was for a bit and Blake is Lelouch's girlfriend"
"Hello" they said, shaking the siblings' hands.
"Why do you have cat ears?"
"I'm a faunus! Humans with animal traits"
They were both intrigued by this but were happy to hear she was dating their brother.
"Lelouch as professor Ozpin has said to us is 'Lelouch's guilt consumes him everyday, if unchecked it can lead to dangerous things' I think you two need to convince him that you're not mad at him and forgive him and appreciate that he still cared for you two"
"What Blake said. Lelouch told us during the dance we had before the Vytal tournament that he 'If only she wasn't in a coma I'd be with her, with my family celebrating her birthday, eating cake, having a good time' we told him It's best not to cry over it you'd want him to celebrate it but not cry or feel guilty over what happened."
"Thank you for looking after our brother and thank you for being there to comfort him we were told about Shirley's death and how much it affected him"
Ruby, Blake, Nunnally, Clovis and Euphie for the next hour discuss a way to properly convince Lelouch to talk to them.
AN: The Zilkhstan arc is now over I never planned for this arc to be big. Now we move onto the acceptance and forgiveness and the aftermath arc which is a two in one arc where Lelouch will be dealing with his personal issues and trying to get over them as well figuring out his future whether he continues his reign as Emperor or retreats to Remnant. After those arcs are over we'll be moving onto the final arc of the story where Salem will be defeated. As I've said before I already have the ending made.
Also I have another story up called Code Geass: Lelouch B312 of the UNSC Autobot resistance. It's not it's offical name but a place holder until I can come up with a good name.
