20. My Inspiration
Role Call: Rocket Crockett (with special guest star and background character/fan character Sprocket Crockett)

Rocket noticed he hadn't called home in some time during the second year, so he thought it was a good idea to call his family and tell them how he was doing. It seemed like it at the time, but he hadn't counted on one person being there. His little brother, Sprocket. The most annoying little brother of all time.

He wouldn't stop badgering Rocket on all of the latest details at the Academy, for not only was it a younger sibling's job to ask the older one questions about a profession that sounded exciting, Sprocket wished to become a Space Ranger as well.

Rocket was secretly proud and openly irritated of his brother's career choice. As neat as it was to know that his brother was going to be following Rocket's footprints to join the Space Ranger Corps, letting his dorky brother pal around with him was a big no-no. That rule among siblings was going to be upheld.

...Even though Sprocket outright admitted (in a somewhat touching yet mocking way) that Rocket was the inspiration for why he was going to join Star Command.

The cadet didn't know whether to be touched or repulsed at how cliche his brother's declaration sounded.

A/N: Rocket has a younger brother who will also be joining Star Command. Once more, this was done to flesh out Rocket's background.
