Hey KR fans! I'm back with the letter W! *cheers* Boy, was this one difficult! I thought up many scenarios in my head as to where I wanted this ficlet to go, but alas I finally decided to follow my gut and go with this one. I'm thinking of possibly posting those other ideas as their own stories, but I haven't quite made up my mind yet seeing as they ARE something you don't typically see on here. However, SHOULD I decide to pursue those plot bunnies, I'll more than likely make them into their own series just because that kinda seems to be where the plot bunnies want to take it. So, yeah. Anyway, I rewrote this thing prolly close to ten or fifteen times before I finally decided to just go with it, so hopefully it's not TOO choppy for y'all! (PS: it's set in my KOTW verse, but you don't need to read the story to understand this one!)
As I've stated before, if any of you have an idea and/or suggestion for the next letter, plz let me know via PM or review! Both will be checked daily so I promise you will not be left out! Sound good? Great! Now let's get on to those awesome reviews! :D
Ecto-1 - Lol me too! I loved Kitt's sassy personality. It's what gave the show life, in my opinion. Oh yes! *chuckles* Run Michael! Run for the hills! Thanks Bestie! It feels good to be back!
TheSpacerat - Thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed! Oh yes indeedy! Devon will be beyond crossed once he opens that door lol. Hopefully Kitt will have gotten Michael out of the country by then XD
As always, ANY and ALL flames will be cast down to my two loyal werewolves to be dealt with accordingly! With or without Michael's permission!
W is for... WEREWOLF!
Michael and Kitt entered the building silently. Michael was following Kitt, who was in his wolf form. It was pitch black with the only light being from the full moon glaring in through the many windows, so Michael was relying pretty heavily on Kitt's keen eyesight, seeing as they wanted to keep the element of surprise. The man they were after, Charlie Little, was a notoriously known drug dealer. He had several hideouts all across the globe, so when intel spoke of him being here in California, law enforcement jumped on it, while also asking for the Foundation's help. Outside, police had cornered off the city limits discreetly, leaving Michael and Kitt to do their job. Of course they gave them a radio for emergencies, but they knew of their golden track record in completing their missions successfully.
Suddenly, the lean black wolf pulled ahead of him a few paces and stopped, ears forward and sky blue eyes attentive. Michael glanced around, looking for danger.
"What is it, Kitt?" He whispered. Kitt's ears twitched.
"I hear something. I can't make out what it is though." The wolf answered. Michael urged him forward and Kitt led him down another dark corridor. This one had doors lining the walls, various plaques telling what each room was. Once more the wolf stopped. Telling Michael to stay put for a second, Kitt padded down a little further. His ears pricked at the sound of. . . whimpering? The tall wolf whirled around and hurried Michael over to the locked door, Kitt keeping watch while Michael picked the lock. A few seconds later, the knob was jiggled open to reveal a scrappy looking office space with a thick layer of dust covering everything. Michael fought back a gasp. In the center of the room sat a girl tied to a chair. She was no older than six or seven. Her blonde hair was pulled back into pigtails and she wore a pink dress with matching shoes. Other than the gag and the obviously terrified expression in her blue eyes, she appeared relatively unharmed.
"It's alright, sweetheart." Michael soothed, still feeling a little stunned at their findings. No one ever mentioned anything about Little kidnapping a child. "We're gonna get you outta here, okay?"
The little girl nodded, her frightened gaze landing on Kitt as Michael began gently untying her hands. The wolf wagged his tail and carefully approached her, as to not frighten her anymore than she already was. As soon as her hands were free, they hesitantly reached out to pet the silky fur. Kitt dipped his muzzle to her and wagged his tail playfully, causing the little girl to chuckle.
"What's your name, sweetie?" Michael asked her after checking over her wrists. They were raw, but he didn't feel they warranted much concern at the moment.
"Katie," she answered shyly. Michael smiled at her.
"That's a pretty name. I'm Michael and this is Kitt." He introduced themselves. Kitt gave a little bark, causing Katie to giggle. The moment was short lived however when Kitt's ears pricked at the sound of a gun cocking. Michael faced the intruder while Kitt did the same, snarling and growling. They made sure to keep Katie hidden behind them.
"Well, if it isn't Michael Knight." Charlie sneered, aiming his pistol point blank. "I heard you and your convoy were coming after me. I just didn't think it would be so soon. I guess my little hostage couldn't keep her mouth shut long enough."
In the background, Katie whimpered in fear. Kitt growled low in his throat. Michael dropped a hand down to pause any hasty attacks. He didn't want anyone getting hurt today if he could help it. "It's over, Charlie. You're surrounded. Just give me the gun and we can talk this out man to man."
"Hmm," Charlie pretended to think about it. "I think not."
Kitt's eyes widened seconds before the shot was fired. Thinking fast, he jumped out at the man, knocking him against the wall hard enough to hit his head and knock him out cold. The gun clattered to the floor and Michael grabbed it and unloaded the weapon before kicking it away well out of reach. The partner's gazes met then. Michael gave a subtle nod.
"Good work, pal. Let's get this guy down stairs." He turned to Katie. "You okay?"
The little girl nodded, her eyes still betraying fear. Michael helped her to stand then spoke into the radio, saying they apprehended Charlie and were bringing him down. He then turned his attention to Kitt, who sat by Charlie's unconscious form.
"Okay, bud. Let's move." The wolf gave a small yip and phased back to a human before their very eyes. Katie gasped in wonder.
"You're. . . you're a werewolf?!"
"Yes." Kitt smiled at her sudden burst of excitement. "But you can't tell anyone, okay? It has to be our little secret. Can you do that for me?"
The little girl nodded enthusiastically. "I won't tell a soul! I promise."
"Thank you, Katie." He said in relief.
Omg, I SO don't like the way this one ended, but it was seriously all I could come up with. My muse just hasn't been with me lately unfortunately :(
Until We Meet Again! *stresses over not being able to write anything decent* What is WRONG with me?! Come back plot bunnies! Come baaaaaaaaaaaaack!
