Arriving at Crait, Poe Dameron contacts the rebellion and are directed to land on a base at the planet's surface. Disembarking, they are confronted by a rebel officer with a retinue of guards.
The rebel officer recognizes Ahsoka Bridger and Kanan Bridger, "Bridger's children? It is great to see you around here again."
Kanan and Ahsoka give their thanks.
The officer then looks at the Kestis family, asking Poe, "Who are they?"
Kanan moves in front of Poe and replies, "They are fellow Jedi we found on the planet we just arrived from."
They are then interrupted by the sound of two familiar voices. "Ahsoka and Kanan!" Seventh Sister and Ezra simultaneously yell. The Bridger family embraces.
"I'm sorry we haven't seen you for quite some time mother and father. We... we saw Ben..." Ahsoka reveals.
"Don't worry about it Ahsoka... we are glad to see you and Kanan back." Seventh says as she hugs her daughter and son.
Ezra then looks at the new visitors, "So children, are you going to introduce us to your new friends?"
Seventh then recognizes one of the faces, "Se... second sister... is that you?"
Trilla is shocked at who she sees, "Seventh sister! I... it has been a long time..."
Seventh then looks at Trilla's family, noticing that she has children due to their resemblance. "I see that you have changed as well have I," Seventh admits.
"Yeah... I'm sor-" Trilla gets cut off by Seventh Sister.
"-Don't worry about the past Second Sister. I am just glad we both eventually left the Inquisitors alive and were able to live normal lives."
Trilla smiles and embraces Seventh Sister.
"I see that our wives know each other," Ezra says to Cal.
Cal nods, grinning.
"I am Ezra Bridger," Ezra says while pulling out his hand.
"Cal Kestis," Cal says while shaking hands with Ezra.
Cal and Trilla then introduce their children to Ezra and the Seventh Sister. In addition, Finn gets to introduce himself to the Bridger parents.
After introductions, Ezra says to everybody, "Princess Leia is expecting you all..."
The Kestis family and Finn is shocked by the mention of her name, and follow Ezra and Seventh Sister compliantly.
They are led to Leia's chambers, and upon entering she rises to greet them. Although, she struggles as she stands, coughing. Ezra and Seventh rush to her side, but she brushes them off, addressing Poe, Ahsoka, and Kanan.
"We heard about you guys' little stunt on Kuat..." she says sternly before grinning. "You have my thanks...we have been looking over the plans." Leia then breaks off into another fit of coughing. Ezra and Seventh then insist Leia to sit back down. She rebuffs them, saying her brother's masters can be quite overbearing.
Finn then steps forward, asking, "Are you both Luke Skywalker's teachers?"
Ezra and Seventh sister nod somberly and Leia seems to take greater notice of Finn and the Kestis family, her expression changes from curiosity to wonder and she looks away back towards her desk, before Poe cuts in.
"Princess... you said you received the information from the data-chip. Many good people died to get you that information. Please tell me you plan to do something with it..."
"Now you sound like my officers..." Leia replies. "But I am afraid you're right... The first batch of these Starkillers will be operational. And when they are, no one will be safe. I don't think your friends in the Republic ever grasped that. But you, Ahsoka, and Kanan do... otherwise you wouldn't be here..."
She then turns to Seventh Sister and Ezra, "Please have the major debrief them... and get them a meal and some rest. They all look like they can use it."
Next, the Kestis family, Bridger children, and Finn are waiting off to the side.
Finn says, "We are way over our heads... we all should go back to Hosnian before Poe might get us all killed!"
Ahsoka responds, "Finn... one of the most important lessons we are taught as Jedi is to have patience... if we do not, it might lead us down a dark path... We can't just let the Dominion and Knights of Ren run loose across the galaxy, especially when we have seen first hand what they are capable of."
The Kestis family and Kanan agree with Ahsoka. Finn then calms down and complies.
Poe then arrives and informs them that he will be joining in the attack on the facility at Yavin.
Ahsoka and Kanan insist on coming with him despite his protests. When Poe gives in, Finn and the Kestis family says that they will follow them too.
They walk through a hanger, where we see a number of people refueling and arming various ships. Poe talks to everyone through the overview of the plan. The data they recovered included a scheduled visit by Thrawn himself. They hope to kill him and destroy the Starkillers in a single, swift stroke. A ground team will be infiltrating the Dominion base on he icy moon of Yavin IX, while Poe will fly the falcon with the fleet to destroy the Starkillers, then evacuate before reinforcements arrive.
Ezra and the Seventh Sister interrupt.
"Ahsoka, Kanan, Ilyana, Teron, and Finn, Leia would like to speak with you all..." Ezra says.
Cal and Trilla are surprised that Leia only wants to speak to their children, the Bridgers' children, and Finn, but tells Ilyana and Teron to comply.
Ahsoka, Kanan, Ilyana, Teron, and Finn are brought to Leia's office.
"I want to tell you all that I do not have long to live... I had hoped to see the end of tyranny by the end of my lifetime," Leia explains.
The Bridger children, Kestis children, and Finn then have a look of despair.
Leia continues, "I will do all I can to achieve that goal, but I am afraid it won't be enough. The people of this galaxy will need all the help they can get in this incoming fight." She turns, opening a drawer in his desk.
"Since you are the only force-sensitive here I have seen without a light-saber... I would like to give you this," Leia says to Finn, handing him a light-saber.
The Kestis and Bridger children smile at the sight. Finn stares at the saber in awe.
"It was my brother's... a long time ago," Leia says.
"But it won't do the galaxy any good gathering dust here... and when I met you, I could sense your potential alongside everybody else."
Finn looks back at the others. "Why don't you give it to any of them?" pointing at the Bridger and Kestis children.
Kanan replies grinning, "Because Finn, we don't need it..."
Leia smiles back at Kanan. Finn accepts the lightsaber.
Leia speaks to everyone in the room, "The leader of the knights is not ready for you all yet, but he will be... in time."
Poe is preparing the Falcon in the hanger, as other pilots head to their ships. The skies above Crait are filled with rebel craft. Kanan, Ahsoka, Ilyana, Teron, and Finn approach Poe, informing him that they will be joining with the ground strike team.
After saying their goodbyes, the Bridger & Kestis children and Finn join up with Cal, Ezra, the Seventh Sister, Trilla, and a number of Rebel commandos. The ships take to the sky to join the fleet.
In the command deck of Leia's flagship, the Alderaan, a transmission is received from their scoutships.
"Thrawn's flagship is present at the facility with a small escort and their forces do not appear to be on alert." the transmission states.
Leia gives the order to proceed and the Rebel fleet jumps into hyperspace.
