Okay, college is going to start for me in a few days. I've never had to attend online classes before and don't know what this will be like, I'll keep writing whenever I can but for now, I don't have an official day for when I can release these, I'll try to be back soon but until then.

"Then when the inner city was done the settlers in Argus built a massive wall inland to protect them from Grimm." Ruby said.
"But how did they managed to protect themselves from coastal attacks without compromising their export business?" Weiss asked shaking the white bag, the single treat within bounced around.
"They used two barriers of hard light dust generators imported from Atlas, they could turn them off so ships could pass without trouble and Grimm kept out."
"Correct, good job." Weiss pulled out the final treat and Ruby eagerly gobbled it up.
"Already empty," Weiss thought as she crumpled up the bag to better dispose of it. "Jaune's advice was quite sound, except for the fact I needed to add cookies to my expenses. By the end of the semester, it was going to look like I had been gorging myself in Vale." Explain the situation to Winter would be annoying, however necessary this was.
"Man, wish I knew to do this earlier..." Ruby's sister muttered aloud. ""
"Where is Jaune anyway?" Ruby asked.
"He and Blake were given detention for getting themselves in harm's way while investigating if the White Fang was robbing dust shops, they'll be released soon I'm sure."
"Blake was investigating the White Fang?" Weiss asked.
"Yeah both of them went down to the Vale docks and chase them off from a big SDC shipment down there." Yang said.
"Oh! I think that made the news this morning but they didn't give out any names or pictures of either of them." Nora said it was true, Weiss had silently thanked whoever had intervened to prevent the robbery. All those times her father had come home angry, the little girl wishing someone out take the fight to those dastardly Faunus.
"Well, I hope Blake can see what a bunch of violent animals they are," Weiss huffed.
"Geez, can you keep that under wraps when we're around, please?" Yang said.
"Stop saying what's true?"
"Weiss..." Ruby says meekly reaching out to her partner.
"Fine, fine, I'll keep my truths to myself." Twin eyes rolled it all seemed stupid the way everyone was acting, the White Fang we're terrorist made up of Faunus, why was everyone so hung up about that fact?
"So half of your team has detention for today?" Ren asked.
"Today, tomorrow, all of next week actually and they aren't allow to go off campus," Yang said somberly, they were going to lose all the good stuff. "Sucks to be them right now..."
"I'm sure it's not that bad." Weiss said.
"This is all intentional," Jaune thought. "From detention starting at lunch, taking away half your time to eat and much of the food available, was all preplanned to punish students but nothing too unbearable... till now." Headmaster Ozpin said it was detection with Ms. Goodwitch conveniently had to leave so Professor Port came in to take over.
"In fact, I was quite the rascal myself, for you see I had placed a bundle of firecrackers in my parent's bedroom. The one usually adjacent to the master bedroom, it was intended to echo the sound and freak my parents awake but I had misjudged the intensity of wrapping together several of the things. It actually cracked to the toilet and spilled water from the damage."
How the Professor managed to make a story that seemed interesting sound so dull had to be an achievement, no, skill mastered and passed through generations as a possible torture method.
"My father said, Peter, there's nothing that can't be solved with a little bit of duck tape. He wasn't wrong if you used his personally made brand, he created on the side you see. Famous in the village. Port's Tape what was it referred to as. Fantastic brand, can't get any, unfortunately. Anyway-"
Jaune sank into his chair and struggled to stay awake, Blake looked like she didn't even try to keep up with the story, let alone make heads or tails of it. Ms. Goodwitch made it clear and placed emphasis on that sleeping during detention was strictly prohibited and would get them even more days. Suffice to say neither present wanted to be at these anymore then they had to, especially if this was how it would be like.
Jaune sighed as quietly as possible to not bream the no-talking rule. This was the only time he envied Amber's position, she could easily tune out almost everything Jaune could hear, it wasn't enough to keep everything the boy heard or said out but much like with sight it the little difference made it slightly bearable.
There were others present of course, a school of this size had to have its fair share of trouble makers but they all looked as if this was a routine to them. A haunting thought, at least sleeping in Port's class could happen without the large man generating a fuss
"-I then I took my axe and swung into the horde, with a swish, swoom, and blam the very earth was carved opened and toppled three King Taijitus plummeting into the abyss. Although that was almost my final mission, through sheer force of will and my raw strength that-."
How the Professor managed to segue from a story about breaking his parent's toilet to battling an unrealistic proportion of Grimm was beyond Jaune. He was sure there was a true story in there somewhere, but the telling grew by the second. Jaune's hand drew up to rub some life into his eyes as blue pupils looked to the clock and filled with despair. Detention had only just started and yet felt like an hour had passed since the man started taking.
All around him fellow first-year students gave up in droves submitting to the knowledge that this was their punishment now for whatever they'd done. Some stomachs growled louder than others, and everyone silently whined about the situation in her own ways.
"-wished I had some of papa's special tape them but all I had was my axe, the fire in my belly, and the shameful of dooming future Hunters of being without my excellent tutelage to shape them."
There was a snort somewhere behind Jaune, so at the very least someone was drawing enjoyment to spite the torturous method the faculty used on the student body.
"Probably not worse than detention at Signal..." Yang said. "Still a shame through I was going to take us out dancing today but had to push it until next weekend."
"Oh, can I come?" Ruby asked excitedly. "My team never does anything fun."
"Excuse me?" Weiss huffed. "Gaining more knowledge from your betters is never classified as dull."
"Pfff, boring!" Ruby said while puffing out her pale cheeks. "I wanna go out and it seems like you're having all the cool teammates..."
"What?!" Nora gasped. "You think Ren and I aren't cool!?"
"No, no, no!" The little red girl franticly waved her hands out in front of her. "It's not that you guys aren't fun I mean... Nora, you rode an Ursa in the Emerald forest that was pretty awesome!"
Nora peered silently questioning Ruby's sincerity before saying. "You're gosh darn right it was! Renny is also a badass, he killed a King Taijitu with its own fang!"
"You did?! That's awesome!" Ruby exclaimed with far more vigor almost leaning across Weiss to stare at the boy in question.
"That is quite an impressive feat." Pyrrha said with far less vigor.
"Why haven't you said anything?!"
Ren shrugged while sipping a cup of water so Nora took it upon herself to "He likes to be quiet, so I speak up to compensate!"
"Okay," Weiss began wanting to get back into enjoying her meal in relative peace. "Why don't we go to Vale this weekend?"
"Really?" Ruby said questioning the change.
"The Vytal Festival preparations begin by then and some students are known to travel early into the Kingdom hosting it."
"You wanna spy on the competition for the fights." Yang hummed.
"More observe our opponents and learn their capabilities beforehand."
"Observe and spy are almost synonyms," Yang noted with a smirk.
"Whatever you want to call it, I guess it's a joint team outing if you wish."
"I don't really want to go spying on people the whole time." Nora groaned.
"We'll visit a pancake house if you come early."
The redhead shot out of her seat and fist jutting into the air. "Opposition to team WRRN beware! Nora is coming to town!"
The surrounding area looked towards team WRRN with confusion or found humor in the act while Weiss sighed. First Pyrrha and now she was losing her team's image...
Roman groaned as he entered the dimly lit warehouse, Faunus everwhere were carrying the haul from the other night away into the designated containers. Now the warehouse they were in wasn't abandoned, cities have to make the most of their space and leaving places unused was stupid, but when it was looked after by a lowly paid customs official. They'd turn a blind eye for the right cash in a second.
"You've disappointed me Roman." A slightly deep yet familiar female voice called out to him as he stood up and grit his teeth.
"Whoa! I wasn't expecting you here!" Roman straightened his posture. "I thought you were staying away from Vale."
Cinder Fall stepped out of the shadows wearing a black cloak, her eyes now glowing a sinister golden underneath the hood.
"It was your dumb idea to work with those stupid mutts from the White Fang!"
"I recall saying Beacon," She hadn't but Roman wasn't about to push his luck too far.
"Dammit..." He groaned. "If those damn animals just hooked it up when they should instead of jerking around with the kiddies from Beacon we would have far more dust!"
As a professional thief, he could definitely say it was a good catch in spite of the complication that arose when securing it. Still, it didn't seem like it wasn't enough for whatever this employer had planned. Not that she was ever impressed by Roman's abilities, he tossed his cane onto a table in annoyance, Neo, his only competent partner, was well and truly gone now and it was up to him to keep things under control now with her breathing down his neck.
Suffice to say Roman wished there was a better thief than him in Vale, maybe she would be someone else's problem then.
"Needless to say, we still were expecting better from you." Cinder shook her head. "Continue to work with the White Fang, I expect this production issue will be taken care of soon." She held her hand out and a flame formed in it. "I have big plans for this city Roman, don't stall it anymore then it will be."
"Well if I knew a bit more in this plan of yours I might've been able to grabble more dust, at the very least the major players would be nice to know." Cinder smiled sinisterly, it sure didn't look like she was budging until Roman said. "That Arc kid was there."
The mask of confidence she wore cracked, not in a fearful or angry way but more annoyed. "I suppose that was to be expected from Ozpin..."
"Ozpin," Roman thought, that he would have to deal with a Hunter or two from Beacon before long had come up, the world ran in dust and the man would have an interest in stopping the robbers at some point. "Is she implying the Headmaster sent out two students to stop the robbery?"
It was nonsensical but they were down there at the right time for some reason, but why kids though?
"Kitty Kat was ex-White Fang so her knowledge on them sort of explains it but how does blondie fit in here..." It was something to talk with Neo about when Roman got the chance.
"You've faced him at the docks?" She asked.
"Not me, Bane did."
Her eyebrow raised with a silent inquiry and Roman clarified.
"Big Faunus with a chainsaw, you'll know when you see him."
Cinder nodded before her mask crept back on. "Keep gathering dust Roman, I expect better progress by the end of the month." With that she smoothly trodded out with a seductive swing, somehow coming through despite the cloak.
It was only when she had walked through the doors did Roman lean back into the table, sighing with relief.
"This boy better be something special..."
