"You know you want to," Alec murmured. "Take me. I want you. I want you inside of me."
"Alexander," Magnus said again. "What if I do something you don't like?"
"Then I'll tell you. But right now, all I want is for you to fuck me so hard I'll be sore tomorrow. And don't hold back. Right now, all I want is you."
Magnus leaned into Alec, feeling his soft, bare skin and the hard muscle underneath. This was what Magnus had fantasized about since . . . well, almost since he'd met Alec. But he'd had to hold himself back, wait until Alec was ready. It was painful, sure but hurting Alec would have been worse. And now, knowing Alec was ready.
It scared Magnus. In all the centuries he'd been alive, (Which he wouldn't admit.), he had never ever felt fear like this.
But it was a good fear.
"Magnus," Alec murmured, sharply jerking him back to reality. "I want you to fuck me."
"I know, darling. But I want to take my time with you."
Alec gave Magnus a rare smile. He then grabbed Magnus and kissed him forcefully, parting his lips immediately. Alec involuntarily moaned into Magnus's mouth, relaxing into him. He thrust his hips forward, crashing into Magnus. Their legs tangled together, Magnus sticking one of his legs between Alec's. Alec clawed at Magnus, leaving scratches down his back.
"Oh, my angel," Magnus whispered, breaking the kiss. "I love you."
"Do you think you could call me that more often?" Alec asked.
"Only in bed, Alexander," Magnus replied.
Magnus eased one of Alec's arms off his back. He grasped his hands, linking their fingers together. Alec squeezed his hand, staring into Magnus's eyes.
"Touch me," Alec pleaded. "Take my clothes off. Please."
Magnus looked to his beloved for reassurance, and all he saw in Alec's eyes were the flames of desire. He wanted this.
I should stop worrying about hurting him, Magnus thought. He's ready.
He moved his hand down to the growing bulge in Alec's jeans. Magnus gasped the moment he felt its size. Alec just stared into his eyes, wondering.
"Alexander," Magnus said, "you're so big."
"Oh," Alec said. "That's okay with you?" He had the slightest tinge of blush on his cheekbones.
"Hell yeah. But: Question. Can I unzip your jeans?"
The look Alec gave Magnus was piercing. "Of course. I want you to take them off. I want you to take everything off, on both of us."
Well, here goes nothing, Magnus thought.
He reached forward, and didn't break eye contact with Alec the entire time he slowly pulled the zipper on his fly down. All Magnus saw in Alec's eyes was a longing for pleasure, something he'd denied himself his entire life. No, not just sexual pleasure, but satisfaction for himself. Alec had been so worried for other people, he'd kind of lost himself; his feelings.
And now-
A blinding pain ran through Magnus's body, and fell backwards. He could hear Alec shouting his name, but all he could focus on was the pain. But that was soon gone, and then he didn't know where he was.
"Did he say where he was keeping Jocelyn?" Jace asked.
"Somewhat," Clary explained. She pulled the fire message out of her pocket. "Valentine said he had a base of operations near Lake Lyn. This is Lake Lyn."
"I've always wanted to see it this close," Isabelle added. "Every time we come here, I never get to see the lake like this. Sure, I get to see it from Alicante, but that doesn't really count."
Clary sighed. Jace hated seeing her like this. He loved seeing her smiling, not sad, or about to cry.
I should comfort her, Jace thought. But . . . I don't know if I should. I don't even know id we're technically dating. You can hardly tell, can't you?
"Hey Jace," Clary said. Jace perked up. "You used to live around here, didn't you?" Jace nodded. "Do you remember there being that weird mountain there?"
Jace turned his head over to where Clary was pointing. There was a mountain, but it wasn't supposed to be there. In fact, the air in front of it was shimmering. Like a glamour.
"Nah," Jace said. "That must be where Valentine's hiding out. It looks like a faerie glamour or something like that. Come on, let's get Jocelyn back."
They walked forward, closer to the mountain. Just when they were about halfway to the spot, a shadowy figure emerged from just in front of them.
It was a man, with mostly white hair that had streaks of brown in it. He had a scar down one of his eyes, and chakrams in his frail hands.
It was Hodge Starkwheather, Jace's former tutor . . . and traitor to Valentine.
Alec had felt his heart stop multiple times that day. The first time was when Clary said Jocelyn was missing, the second when Magnus agreed to sex, and then when Magnus touched him in the most wonderful way. And the last time, when Magnus fell backwards, in what appeared to be extreme pain.
"Magnus!" Alec shouted. "Magnus!"
Magnus just twitched. His eyelashes fluttered, which made Alec feel a little bit better. His skin was a little pale, though.
Why did this have to happen the moment Magnus began taking his pants off? Nothing bad had happened last time. Was Alec just destined to be a virgin forever, doomed to a sexless existence?
"Magnus!" Alec shouted again.
Magnus got back up this time, and took a wheezing breath. The color returned to his skin, although slowly.
"Alexander," Magnus said. "Oh, Alec, I don't know what to say. Just zip up your pants and get dressed, and then I'll explain everything."
Alec did as Magnus said, then stared at his boyfriend cluelessly.
"Look, it's a long story, but my father said he wouldn't let us have sex," Magnus explained. "Asmodeus kind of pulled my mind to him, and then explained in a vision that if we had sex, he'd kill us both. But only as long as he was in this dimension." Magnus smiled. "So let's kill him first."
"How can he do that?"
"Isn't he the demon of Lust? So, technically, he can. I wish it wasn't this way."
Alec stared at Magnus, his beautiful boyfriend, still shirtless, and couldn't believe anyone so amazing had such a horrible father.
"Just hold me," Magnus said. "Alexander, hold me in your arms. I love you."
"I love you too," Alec said.
They laid there, Magnus's head on Alec's chest, Alec's arms around him. And Alec didn't know what to do about the whole situation.
