Hey everyone,
This chapter is going to be EPIC! I am going to put my full skill as a writer to the test here. I admit that I really am not the greatest when it comes to writing fight scenes, but I'd like to just keep the battle scene between Roxas and Axel in mind that I wrote for another story. To be honest, I kind of forgot which story that was. Could one of you go through my stories and check? Or does someone remember what that was from? If so, let me know.
Thanks,

PS. I think it might have been The Moving Of The Light, but I'm not sure.

Chapter 20
The Demonstration – Part 01

16th of September 1995
Quidditch Pitch, Hogwarts
Harry's POV

The scene before me is both very hard and very exciting to behold. The stands of the Quidditch pitch have been lowered to be floor height at the front and first floor height at the back and the towers have been removed entirely and replaced with more stands. The golden poles with hoops on both sides of the field have also been removed and the whole stadium has become more circular instead of oval like it was before.
On one hand this eerily reminds me of last year, on the other it proves how serious the GA's are taking their job in showing off their skills in this Demonstration. Ever since Umbridge got taken down to the dungeons by a couple of House Elves, Hermione not even complaining about this in her anger against the woman, the only topic that anyone at Hogwarts has talked and speculated about is this right here. And a lot of rumors are seriously wild, some even sick.

Pansy Parkinson, who still seems to be very much against anything that she knows makes me happy, even dared to insinuate that the Demonstration is really the GA's wanting to convince us to join their little group, as she called it. When people asked what she meant, she had the gall to laugh and say: "Well, it wouldn't surprise me if we get to see an orgy take place between these sickos. And with the Minister coming, we'll just see who needs to check their hubris."
To everyone's shock, it had been Professor Snape who had come down on the girl, forbidding her from attending and putting her in detention with Professor Binns during the demonstration. "I will not hear such vulgar language or such improper insinuations from one of my own House, Miss Parkinson. I expected better of a lady of your standing." The man had stated as an excuse and even the other Snakes had accepted this.

Fudge himself had indeed shown up, along with Lucius Malfoy and several other people, some who were recognized by students as their parents, others who I realize must be members of the Ministry. Even Lily's mum had shown up and for a moment I had worried about Lily's fear and the legitimacy behind it. Yet Miss Lewis and Mister Jennings had stayed at Hogwarts the other night and I spotted the former spotting the woman as well.
Fudge had also spotted the two and unlike his former Secretary, he had apparently instantly realized who they were. An annoyed look crossed his face and while he, upon his entrance, had clearly wanted to make a beeline for Dumbledore, the bowler-hat wearing man had turned away and moved to another part of the stands instead. And I myself had just flat-out ignored Percy glaring at me, as if he's trying to warn me that he'll punish me later with his glare or something.

"What a prat." Ron mutters, but I'm not really bothered. This is mostly because I am too glad and grateful that I managed to get seats at the very front of the stands. I had actually left about an hour before the students would be told to head for the stands and had gotten Parvati to duplicate several scarfs for me. I had tied these over the seats in a crisscross fashion and then applied sticking charms. Through this I ensured enough seats for all of my friends.
The Chasers, Lee, Hermione, Neville and the four Weasleys had all been very grateful to me and I told them: "I heard from Isa that he is going to be mostly focused on this side of the field. We'll have a perfect vision of him, Lea, Axel, Roxas and Xion. Isa told me the five of them would make one part of the Demonstration.""Anything else they told you?" Hermione had asked excitedly, but I shook my head and we just spent a few minutes speculating.
"I'm sure that Terra, Aqua and Ventus will do something together. The three of them are a team and were the first Keyblade Wielders. They were wielders when I was sent back to earth, though Ventus was the only one I met at the time. I also think the same counts for Sora and Riku. Kairi, I'm not entirely sure. She might join with Xion or with Sora and Riku. She seems really close with both, though I mostly remember her being close with Lea and me."

"You know, I really wonder when the Master is going to tell us his backstory. I hope it's sometime soon." Ginny comments while she sits one row behind me to my left. I nod in agreement, but also say: "Me too, though I'm more curious about them showing these skills of theirs. Most of them didn't have these when I left, but they seem so natural now. I know it's been six years, but it still slightly bugs me." The others give me empathic nods.
I then notice something happening on the other side of the field and my eyes widen. Umbridge is still encased in ice in her seat, but the woman doesn't look like she's been freezing to near death these past few hours. She even looks eerily similar to how she did the other day as she is set down, her gaze razing over the students with furious hatred clear in her eyes. Isa is the one to set her down and then he looks up and waves at me with a grin on his face.

And because I have seen that grin a million times growing up, I mutter: "That cheeky bastard. They're not really going to limit themselves to just one part of the arena. Isa told me that so he would know exactly where to set Umbridge without having to worry about him putting her anywhere near me. He tricked me! That's always Lea's thing! This was all his idea!" And the cheeky tone of my best friend's voice states: "And yet you still fell for it."
And while the twins start to laugh, I turn to glare at my friend as he confidently strides over to the center of the arena, the others of the GA following after him. All of them are dressed in either skin tight outfits or outfits that have obviously seen quite a few battles already. Especially Sora and Riku really stand out as Sora is in a black outfit with lots of belts crisscrossing across his very wide pants and jacket, where Riku seems to wear something that almost seems made out of his own skin and muscles, but then with a skirt made of white hair.
What's also really interesting is that Ienzo, Demyx, Even, Aeleus, Dilan, Isa, Axel, Roxas and Xion have all put on long black robes that cover them from their shoulders down to their feet. Xion even has her hood up and only her chin and lips are visible. "What's with the robes, you think?""Me thinks they are giving off some sort of spoiler to the Master's backstory.""You know, something that happened between now and when Harry returned here."

The twins answer Katie's question and then suddenly a small shiver runs down my spine. I turn my head and curiosity overwhelms me as I spot Fudge and Percy taking the seats next to Ron and Neville, who are on my left. But then Master Yen Sid moves over to them before Ron can turn to, I can only assume, rant at his older brother, and he stands before the two as he says: "Minister, I must ask you to seek seats elsewhere."
"Is there a problem with our chosen seats?" Fudge asks, his voice proving that he thinks very low of my mentor. I want to snarl at the man, but just keep my focus on the Master instead. The man just stars at the Minister, the smile that has been on his face for most of the last two weeks not there and he says: "I will not insult your intelligence, Minister, if you in return do not insult mine. No one here does not know why you chose these seats.
And seeing that your Secretary is currently charged with invasion of privacy, I'd advice you to be smart and not try to turn the situation in your favor by showing the world who young Harry really is as I am sure is your intent. You are a threat to my charge, so I kindly ask you to remove yourself and seat yourself elsewhere." Fudge has been steadily growing more and more red in the face and at the end, he jumps up and snarls:

"Now see here, you! I don't know what tricks Potter might have played on your mind, but he is not your charge! If anything, I can arrest you for kidnapping! So I advice you to stay out of my business from now on, lest things get ugly, you hear?" Yet the Master remains calm and just retrieves a few files from the bag he has brought with him. "I went to visit the Dursleys this weekend, Minister, and they signed documents that transfer guardianship.
I am Mister Potter's guardian, though I do admit that I only share guardianship at this moment as the guardianship has also been granted to another. And before you make any more statements that are only based on your own knowledge, allow me to continue my position as Master of the Mystic Arts and teacher and educate you. This is a law that was brought into existence by the Wizengamot in 1306 and which has been upheld by the ICW since 1454.

This is the official public file of one Sirius Black, which, before you say anything, I retrieved from the public records at the Ministry. The man you brought with you, who is seated right over there, was my escort while I went into the record chamber and this here is his memory of me retrieving it. You will not find anything wrong with the memory as I also have this official document of the Unspeakables of your own Ministry declaring the memory legit.
And neither will you find me tampering with the file at any moment after I retrieved it. I advice you to check the file and search for the document declaring Sirius Black to have been sentenced to Azkaban. You will not find it, I assure you. And to prove that I am confident in my position and all, I will allow your Aurors to search my office once the Demonstration is over. Or, if you'd rather they miss the Demonstration, you can send them up while it occurs."

Everyone around us is gaping at the Master. Even I feel astounded and astonished at how he just handled all that. I am definitely curious about that law and what it might mean, but the real fact that shocks me is the bit about guardianship. The knowledge that the Dursleys signed away their rights as my guardians fills me with joy, exhilaration and relief like no other and the fact that Sirius and the Master are now my guardians makes this even a 1000 times better.
Fudge himself seems really hesitant by now, fearful even. He reaches for the files that the Master holds out for him and mutters: "Weasley, what law is this?" But in his state, he hands the papers to the right while Percy is on his left. Yet Ron doesn't care and snatches the paper out of his hands. I almost climb over his shoulder and read along as he exclaims: "It's a Sentence Exoneration Law! It says that if a prisoner is not sentenced within a span of 12 years, the Ministry loses the right to hold him or to keep up the charges filed against him.
It does also say that, if the prisoner so decides, the Ministry will not be obligated to compensate for their stay, but only if there is a contradiction in their charges or situation and only if the prisoner has been held in a holding cell. If the prisoner spent the time in Azkaban, then unless there is no contradiction, the Ministry is obligated to, at least, compensate for half of the time spent there. And there are even several more clauses and – wow, this law is really written in such a way that it covers every base you can imagine there to be."

Fudge has turned a nasty shade by now, not quite pale with fear, but not red with anger. He almost looks sick, but then Percy huffs and says: "Too bad that there are no contradictions to Black's case." But to this Even, who apparently has come over while we were all talking, scoffs and says: "Now that is just insulting. I know you have some kind of strange bone to pick with young Harry, but tell me, Mister Weasley, why would you drag his father's good name through the mud?"
"I did no such thing!" Percy declares, but Even just stares at him and says: "Oh, you most certainly did. James Potter was a Head Boy just like you yourself. This makes it only stand to reason that he was quite intelligent, which is further proven if one were to look at the records of how he fought in the war. Not to mention several parts of the speech he held at his own wedding in 1978. To then insinuate that he would make his son's godfather his Secret Keeper is quite the contradiction.
A Godfather is someone who is to take care of a child if something happens to the parents. And such chances are usually at their highest if a country is at war with either one of their own or another country. So why would one so intelligent – not to mention someone who was known to play illusion-like pranks to escape Death Eaters in between 1977 and 1981 – risk his child's future by making said godfather his Secret Keeper?

Especially when you add the notion that he declared this to Dumbledore's Order while knowing that there was a spy among the ranks. Sounds like quite the contradiction, don't you think? And if you then add the charge that involves Peter Pettigrew, who is both known to have a very lackluster reputation and whose only real positive contribution to the war effort was his friendship with the Potters – hmm, what does that tell you, Mister Weasley?"
And just like Fudge before him, Percy is just left speechless and stares at Even, only uttering a few sounds of disbelief and inability to comprehend what he just heard from time to time. By now tears of joy, love and happiness are rolling down my face as I have a hard time being able to believe that my Master and former mentor are arranging my godfather's release so flawlessly. "He's free. He's finally free. They did it. They secured his safety in both worlds. In all worlds."

And as I think this, a sensation that I haven't felt in the longest time almost entirely overwhelms me. I feel a power that is both new and old, foreign and yet so very welcome and familiar, settle over my form as well as move deep within me. I feel it streaming through my blood, tickle my skin, strengthen my muscles, pulse along with the magic in my core and beat alongside my heart. New tears start to stream down my arms and I raise my arm up in the sky.
Lights, stars and crescent moons appears in my hand and in the sky to the left and a second left a familiar weight lands in my palm. My fingers wrap themselves around the hilt the same way they so often do around the Golden Snitch and while gasps, screams, shouts and exclamations come from all around me, I turn my head up, staring at my blade with the biggest grin my face can handle. The Keyblade has returned to me.

Eeeeehhhh WHAT!
Okay, that was NOT part of the plan. I was planning to have Harry regain the ability to call on the Keyblade AFTER the demonstration. But then suddenly I wrote Fudge sitting down next to Harry, remembered a little something I had for a story idea that just wasn't going anywhere and decided to implement that idea into this one. And while I loved writing Even and the Master being such bosses, Harry's Keyblade was only part of the plan at the very end.
Now I know I didn't give a description, but that is going to be next chapter. And some of you might think: "Hey, are you going to have Harry have a new Keyblade? One that represents the darkness in his heart?" But the answer to that is No. It was the Darkness that kept Harry from being able to use the Keyblade, I don't feel like giving it more of a role in Harry's life than that. He'll still need to recover, but this will make that easier.
Okay. Laterz,

PS. Next chapter will be the Demonstration, promise. Also the story idea was that exoneration law.
