Later that night, Troy and Gabriella were tucking Isabella into bed. Gabriella sat down on her bed beside her daughter. "Baby Girl, it's your birthday on Saturday, what do you want to do for your birthday?"

"Park." Isabella grinned, cheering, making Gabriella smile.

"Ok Baby, who do you want to take to the park?"

"Mommy, Daddy, Nonna."

"Of course Mommy and Daddy are coming, but Nonna is working Bella, so she can't come. What about the kids from daycare, what friends from daycare do you want to bring?"

She shook her head. "No daycare, Mommy and Daddy."

Gabriella bit her lip, concerned by her daughter's response so Troy chimed in. "But don't you want to play with your friends on your Birthday Angel?"

Isabella once again shook her head. "Just Mommy, Daddy and Bella."

Troy sighed and kissed the little girl's head. "Ok Baby Girl, Mommy and Daddy will take you to the park on Saturday, should we get some ice-cream after?"

She grinned and cheered, "icecweam!"

"That's right Bella, we'll take you to the park and get you some ice-cream on Saturday. For now though Angel, it's time for bed."

"Daddy kiss."

He smiled and kissed her forehead, stroking her cheek. "Sweet dreams Baby Girl, Daddy loves you."

"Ni-night Daddy, wove you."

He stepped away and let Gabriella finish tucking her daughter in, smiling at the sight.

Gabriella tucked the blankets around the little girl and stroked her hair. She sung for Isabella when she asked but the toddler was still quite awake when she finished. Gabriella started stroking the little girl's face, much like she had done when Isabella was a new born to put her to sleep; she watched as her eyes began to close.

"Sweet dreams Bella, I love you Baby Girl."

"i wove you Mommy, ni-night." With a final kiss to the girl's head, Isabella was asleep.

They left Isabella's room and went into Gabriella's - well their - room. Troy took off his shirt and put it in the hamper, having slept without it since they passed that barrier. He took Gabriella into his arms as he laid on his back. She rested her head on the crook of his shoulder and her hand traced his abs.

"I'm worried about Bella, she doesn't want to see any of her friends from daycare."

"I hate to break it to you Brie, but we don't exactly see our friends from school when we're not there either."

Gabriella's hand froze and she whispered. "It's my fault."

Troy tipped her chin up. "No Baby, don't even think about blaming yourself. At the end of the day Brie, she's only two, she doesn't really understand that stuff yet. It's not a bad thing if she wants to spend her birthday with us, we should enjoy it while we can."

"You're right, she's growing up so fast, soon - soon she's not gonna be like this, wanting us around and everything."

"I wouldn't go that far, your relationship is different to a normal mother daughter relationship. You may not be with her 24/7 but she'll still want to be with you. Besides you've got at least another five years before any of that starts to happen. You're an amazing mother Brie, she's always gonna love you."

"Thanks Wildcat, and I don't think I've told you this properly, but I really couldn't have asked for a better guy to be Bella's father, you're amazing with her Baby."

He shrugged slightly. "I think of her as my own, I love her Brie, she's the most amazing little girl."

"Yeah she is. I think of her as yours as well. When I see her eyes, I like to pretend that she got them from you and sometimes I forget that she isn't actually yours. But regardless of biology, Bella is yours in my eyes and hers Baby. She loves you so much and I love you."

"I love you too Beautiful, and so does Bella, we love you unconditionally Baby."
