Chapter 17: A Cozy Moving Party House

Once upon a time, there was a mare pegasus and an earth stallion who are also a married couple. They worked together to build a house in the middle of the woods, somewhere in Equestria. Years have gone by and they have a baby filly and their lives prosper. One day, they asked a wizard to put a special spell on their home. Whatever the spell is, they hope it will help bring a family closer and the love they have even closer.

On the present day, in the very forest, Sun, Regana, who is in the carrier, Cozy Glow and Pinkie are running for their lives. They all scream and run away as are being chased.

"What in Equestria is that thing?" Cozy Glow asks.

"I don't know. I have never seen a moving house before," Sun says.

"Somepony really wants us to get in a house today!" Pinkie screams.

The three girls find themselves being chased by an old pink and magenta color house with an old purple like roof. To make it more shocking, despite looking very nice, it has two legs and is walking on it's own.

Pinkie screams, "Go away! We're in a long-term lease already!"

"Yeah. We already got a home!" Cozy Glow screams.

Then turns to Sun, "Is there some kind of magic you have that can stop it?!"

"I'll try!"Sun shouts.

She then turns her head and uses her horn to zap the house, but nothing works.

"I'm afraid not," Sun says.

Just the, the house opens the door and leans to them.

Sun screams, "Look out!"

Without a single chance the house slams down and catches the girls. Pinkie, Sun, and Cozy Glow look to see the door close behind them, and traps them inside.

"I guess that was an invitation I couldn't refuse," Pinkie says.

Sun uses her magic to open the door, but it's locked. Sun then uses her hooves.

"What's wrong?" Cozy Glow asks.

"The door is stuck?" Sun asks.

"What?" Pinkie asks, shocked.

Pinkie and Cozy Glow then grab the door knob and try to pull it.

"Come on! Let us out!" Pinkie screams.

The girls continue to pull and pull, but nothing works.

Cozy Glow screams, "We're locked in!"

"I'm afraid that won't work," A male's voice says.

Pinkie, Sun, and Cozy Glow turn their heads to see two stallions, a mare, and four female fillies. One is a male earth stallion that has light green eyes, brown fur, a curly mane and tail, a cheese sandwich accordion as a cutie mark and wears a yellow shirt.

The first is an earth filly has dark blue fur, pale green eyes, rainbow color mane of blue, light blue, green, and purple, and has a cutie mark of a cupcake. The second filly, is a young pegasus that has brown fur, light brown mane, with a hazel streak, light brown eyes, and her cutie mark is a java mug. The third one is an earth pony too. She has an orange and light orange male and tail in a pumpkin shaped bun tied by green hair bands, pale orange hur, and pale green eyes, and her cutie mark is a pumpkin.

What surprises Cozy is to see a small filly that looks exactly like her, but her mane is blue and her cutie mark is a rose in a pot, and she's a unicorn. The pegasus mare has light blue fur and has curly pale blue mane, and has a blossom for a cutie mark. The stallion is an earth pony, is a pale pink and has dark blue, black, and yellow mane and tail, and his cutie mark is a glowing star.

The orange stallion says, "We've been trapped here for a while, and I think we're responsible for you and your friends being here, too."

The brown filly says, "Um, so… sorry, I guess?"

Cozy happily runs to them, "Mom. Dad. Rosy?"

"Cozy?" The young unicorn filly cheers and runs to Cozy.

Soon, the two siblings hug each other with glee.

"I miss you Cozy," The filly says.

"Me too, Rosy?" Cozy happily says.

Cozy then sees the couple and hugs them too.

"Hello sweetie Glow Glow. It's great to see you," The mare says.

"WE're glad to see you," The stallion says.

"Me too," Cozy happily says.

Then turns to Pinkie and Sun, "Guys, this is my father Night Glow, my mother, Blossom Glow, and my twin sister, Rose Glow."

"It's nice to meet you. I'm…" Sun says.

"Princess Sun, what an honor. It'a pleasure to meet you," Blossom Glow says.

"Wow! You're even pretty in a pony," Rose Glow happily says.

Pinkie runs to the stallion and hugs him, "Cheese Sandwich! It's so good to see you again! Even if it's because a giant walking house just ate us all. So what's going on and how, did you all 'bring us here?'"

Then says, "By the way, this is Sun and Cozy Glow."

"Hello," The girls reply.

"Hello you two," Cheese says.

"So Cheese Sandwich is a friend of yours," Sun says.

"You bet. And I knew you all were going to ask, so I had my friends here make some visual aid. Also, let me introduce you to Pumpkin Twizzle, Aurora Muffin, and Java Bolt! Of course, you already met Blossom Glow, Night Glow, and one of the twins, Rose Glow," Cheese Sandwich says.

Blossom says, "It's great to see you, but um, sorry it had to be like this."

"So sweetie, we heard that the Friendship School is doing great for you," Night Glow says.

"Um yeah, but still. What happened to all of you? And what's this house grabbing ponies like that?" Cozy Glow asks.

"All will be explained," Cheese says.

Then Pumpkin holds a picture of Cheese and the fillies at a party.

"I was in Baltimare doing a part for Pumpkin Twizzle here. It was her Tenth birthday," Cheese says.

"Um, happy birthday Pumpkin Twizzle," Cozy Glow says.

Pumpkin sighs, "This was so not what I wished for."

Then Cheese says, "Then this walking house… which I'm calling Housey, by the way… appeared and started going for the kids.

Then says to Aurora, "You totally capture my physique, too Aurora Muffin!"

"Thank you," Aurora says.

"Everypony else got away, except for us. Also, excellent use of Macaroni, Java Bolt," Cheese says.

"It's my medium of choice," Java says.

Then Cheese says, "Rose Glow became scared and wanted her mom and dad, so the house ate them too and trapped them along with us."

"I'm sorry," Rose sadly says.

"That's okay sweetie, it was frightening when that house came out of nowhere and trapped us," Blossom Glow says.

"But how is it your fault that we're here?" Pinkie asks.

"Well, some of the kids were getting scared…" Cheese says.

"Nuh-uh!" I wasn't scared!" Aurora says.

Cheese continues, "So I suggested we play some games, continue the party. And I may have kinda mentioned how I knew one of the two Greatest Party Planners in all of Equestria. Then House went and found you. She's kind of a party bloodhound."

"But what do we have to do with it?" Sun asks.

Rose Glow nervously says, "I… i was scared… and wished that Cozy Glow would be here… I feel much more comfortable with her around."

"Oh Rosey, it must have been awful to be trapped in here," Cozy Glow says.

Then Night Glow says, "Then we remember Princess Twilight and Princess Sun and we'll mention you and how you can help us get out or cheer the children up, and that's how you both end up here."

"And there's no way out of this house?" Sun asks.

"Afraid not, everything's sealed, and even the glass won't break. It's some kind of magic," Cheese says.

Pumpkin begins to grow scared, "Are we going to be stuck here forever? I want to go home!"

"Everything's going to be fine. I know we'll find a way out," Sun says, hugging Pumpkin.

"She's right. We've been in plenty of weirder situations than this," Pinkie adds.

"Well, you have. The worst I've had before was a rained-out picnic," Cheese clarifies.

"Not helping, Cheese," Sun says.

Then Pinkie has an idea, "Maybe we should continue the party. We need some dancing! How about a Conga Line?!"

Cheese whispers to Pinkie and Sun with a smile, "A conga line? Is that the best thing…"

"To let us explore the house while keeping the kids close? I think so…" Pinkie whispers.

"That sounds like a great plan," Sun whispers.

"My thoughts exactly!" Cheese whispers.

He then brings out an accordion and shouts, "CONGA LINE!"

Soon, Pinkie starts the conga line with Cozy Glow, Rose Glow, and the other fillies join in. Sun sits on the couch with Blossom and Night Glow as they watch the fillies having fun, and Cheese takes the rear.

Cheese calls out, "Conga Conga Con-Ga!"

"I don't know that an accordion is the best accomplishment for a Conga Line," Aurora says.

"An accordion is always the best company!" Cheese says, playing.

"The rhythm has really gotten me! I'm having fun!" Java says.

"Me too!" Cozy and Rose say.

Sun and the couple watch as the young fillies having fun and singing and playing together. Sun also rocks little Regana who is giggling with a smile on her face. Suddenly, the lights turn on causing the whole party to come to a stop.

Sun then touches one of the desks and her pendent activates without her knowing. Soon, Sun sees a vision. She sees a family doing the game conga line Pinkie and Cheese do for the young ones. Then at Hearth's Warming Day, they open presents. A graduation day for a young mare and her parents give her a hug. Then there is marriage right in the living room. There is laughter, fun, excitement, most of all happiness and family.

Sun removes her hoof from the desk and rubs her head.

"What was that?" Pinkie asks.

"The lights got brighter when Java Bolt said she was having a good time," Cheese says.

"I'm sorry! I didn't mean it," Java says.

"No no, I think this is a good thing," Cozy says.

"Maybe the house is reacting to us having fun," Pinkie says.

Sun then says, "And whatever it is, my pendent reacts to it, and I see memories, but I'm not sure who or what it was."

"How do you do that?" Night Glow asks.

"Sun's pendent allows her to see memories of those she makes contact with. It's possible that those memories might be the house," Cozy Glow says.

"But um, houses are not living things, how can they have memories?" Rose says.

"Well, I remember I touched a snowflake one, and I saw the memories that it has, so maybe the memories did come from the house," Sun says.

"I guess that's possible, but how do we test it?" Cheese asks.

Then Pinkie asks, "Do you have a cream pie?"

Cheese then brings one out, "Well of course I have a cream pie. What kind of Legendary Engine of Comedy could I be without a cream pie? I'm kind of hurt that you'd even ask…"

Suddenly, Pinkie grabs the pie and splatters it on Cheese face. That cause everyone to laugh with smiles on their faces. Even Sun and Regana start laughing.

Cheese licks the cream and says, "Well played, Pinkamena."

Then uses his tongue to lick all of the cream pie of his face.

"That was very funny," Rose says, laughing.

"It really was. It was almost funny with you and Screwball got me and Crescendo with the confetti squirting flowers," Cozy says, laughing.

"I have to admit, you both have a great sense of humor," Blossom says.

"Yeah. I can't stop laughing," Night says.

"Thank you," Cheese says.

"We can't break out, we can't sneak out, but maybe we can party our way out. If Housey likes it when we have fun, maybe we can have so much fun that we can escape," Pinkie says.

"And just how exactly will that work?" Cheese asks.

"It's kind of like setting a fire to smoke out way out, except much easier to breath," Pinkie says.

"It does seem like the possible answer," Sun says.

Cheese says, "Partying our way out it is!"

"But um… how do we do that?" Rose asks.

"We're going to need to have the Best Party Ever! So we're going to need some supplies!" Cheese says.

"We need to split up and go through Housey and find whatever we can. Balloons, Streamers… anything that can be fun," Pinkie says.

In the attic, Pinkie, Aurora, Java, Cozy Glow, and Blossom Glow are searching around for anything useful.

Blossom then asks Cozy, "So Cozy Glow, how was school doing for you?"

"Um well um, school has been okay," Cozy Glow says, sounding weary.

Noticing this, Blossom asks, "Cozy, is something wrong?"

"It… it's nothing. I'm okay. Just feeling a bit scared to be in the house that can walk. Which is kind of scary," Cozy Glow says.

Blossom Glow isn't fully convinced, but simply smiles and says, "I understand, let's just keep looking."

"Sure," Cozy Glow says.

Cozy Glow and Blossom Glow continue searching/

Just then Aurora says, showing the decorations, "I found some decorations and wrapping paper!"

"I've got some party hats and noisemakers! Look like leftovers from a New Year's Party," Pinkie says, showing some hats and noisemakers.

Java opens a box and says, "Oh, boy! Here's a soda can collection!"

"And there are so many paper plates here too," Cozy Glow says.

Blossom then brings out fake flowers, "And there are decorative flowers here."

"Good! And good drinks are essential to a great party!"Pinkie says.

Then Java says, "No, it's a collection. They're all empty."

"So it's a bunch of soda can trophies? Pass!" Pinkie says.

Java hugs the can and says, "Don't worry, Crown's own chocolate soda only released for one week in Vanhoover… I appreciate you!"

In the kitchen, Cheese, Pumpkin, Rose, Night Glow, and Sun are looking for something in the kitchen.

Cheese looks in the fright and says, "It's hard to have a legendary party without some great food. But I think we're going to be in trouble here. I don't know the last time someone went shopping."

"I found a spatula. Is a spatula funny?" Pumpkin asks, finding a spatula.

"Sometimes," Cheese says.

Night Glow and Sun looks in different cabinets and shelves.

"There doesn't seem to be any food here, and any food we did find isn't good anymore." Sun says.

"And from the look of this house, it doesn't look like there has been anything for a long time," Night Light says.

Cheese looks inside a cabinet, "This gelatin mix might be still good."

Rose Glow then asks, "Um Mr. Cheese, what's a Kwinkle?"

"A Kwinkle? They're only the most amazing snack food ever! They stopped making them a few years ago. They were full of sugar and fat and preservatives and were no good for you, but they were so very very tasty! And great ads in comic books! Why do you ask?" Cheese answers.

"Because there are boxes of them in here," Rose says, showing the product.

Cheese quickly takes one and admires it with hearts in his eyes, "Boxes? That's fantastic! Even the oldest Kwinkles have an expiration date sometimes in the next millennium! WE HAVE A PARTY!"

Sun giggles and says, "And I thought Pinkie gets excited about Kwinkles!"

Suddenly, Sun gains another vision, she sees the family of the house grew, and grew. They continue to have fun, games, love, laughs, and parties. And sometime later, part of the family leaves for Manehatten. Sun is confused to see the visions, but seems to also understand the house.

Sometime later, everyone is having a party and they are excited. Cozy Glow and Rose Glow dance together with glee.

Cheese happily says, "Well done, Ms. Pie."

"Couldn't have done it without you, Mr. Sandwich," Pinkie says.

Rose asks, "So Cozy, how are you doing at the friendship school?"

"I actually had a great time and I have lots of friends," Cozy happily answers.

"Really? I really like to meet them," Rose says.

"Me too," Cozy says.

She then becomes concerned, "If we can get out of here."

Sun then walks to the door and tries to open it. Sadly, the knob is still locked.

Sun sits on the couch rocking the baby in her arms.

"The door is still locked?" Night Glow asks.

"It's still locked," Sun says.

"Hmm, I think we're at maximum party. This hootenanny is clearly at eleven and I don't know that we can hit twelve," Pinkie says.

"It's too bad we don't have more fuel. You know, partygo…" Cheese says.

But Pinkie, Sun, and Cozy Glow quickly cover their moves. They soon remove their hooves from their mouths.

Cheese asks with a smile, "What? I was just going to say 'more partygoers?"

Suddenly, the house begins to move and shake the party around.

Cozy screams, "You and your big mouth."

"I really have to stop talking, don't I?" Cheese asks.

"If only," Pinkie says

Sun looks out the window, "Oh no! Look where it's going?"

Everypony looks out the window to see where Housey is going… Ponyville.

"The House is heading for Ponyville!" Pinkie exclaims.

Pinkie cries out, "Housey, no! Leave all those ponies alone! You don't need to capture anyone else!"

"We need to crank this party up," Sun says.

Soon, everypony is trying to do whatever it takes to keep the party going.

Pumpkin calls out wearing two party hats, "Look, I'm having double the fun! I'm wearing two party hats!"

"I found some board games!" Java says.

"Cozy and I found Pin the tail on the pony," Rose says.

Cheese continues to dig in the draw, "We need more fun! Nas diversion! PL! Amuza, even!"

Cheese continues to throw the stuff all over the place, and soon an open book lands on Sun's head.

"Hey!" Sun screams.

Sun then takes the book off her head and looks inside. Soon, Sun gasps in shock.

"Hey guys, take a look at this!" Sun calls out.

All the ponies gather around to see what Sun has. They all become surprised to see the book is actually a photo album. Sun turns the pages to show there are laughter, smiles, and happiness.

"That's one big happy family! And so many parties," Cheese says.

"And every picture has the same warm light in every one," Pinkie happily says.

"It's more than that. This book shows the same that I've seen in my visions, and explains everything," Sun says.

"How so?" Rose asks, confused.

"It's easy, love and fun are their one kind of magic, and this family had so much love, and so much fun, that it made the house part of the family, mixing that with this protection spell made it come to life," Sun says.

"And when the family wasn't here anymore, the house was all alone," Cozy sadly says.

"Poor Housey," Rose sadly says.

"So then, Housey must have started looking for more parties because that's what she felt the most love," Pinkie says.

Suddenly, the house stops moving.

"We've stopped moving," Cheese says.

Cozy calls out, "That's it isn't it, Housey? You're all alone now and you just want to be full of parties and love again."

"That's why you were drawn to parties and captured everyone, so you can have that feeling again," Sun adds.

Then Pinkie says, "We're so very sorry, but all parties have to end."

Then Cheese has an idea, "Do they?"

Confused, Pinkie turns to Cheese, "They do. That they end is what makes them special. They're like snowflakes… beautiful and temporary. Eventually, everypony has to leave and go home."

"She's right," Sun says.

"Everypony does, but the party could go on, keep meeting new ponies who are ready to start partying when other ponies stop. Because this house party can move," Cheese says.

"You're talking about designing a party that never ends," Pinkie says, confused.

"Do you think you can do it?" Sun asks.

"No. but we can do it!" Cheese says.

Then the party ponies hoof bump, "PARTY TIME!"

Then Pinkie calls out to the house, "What about it, Housey? If we can make the Bestest, Most, Phenomenal, Incredible Party in the History of Parties… a party that will never end… you have to let us go, and any pony else when it's time for them to leave. Do we have a deal?"

Everypony waits patiently until the house opens.

"I guess that answers that," Pinkie says.

Cheese turns to the group, "What about you, my little party crew? Do you mind helping us out for a bit?"

"If it gets us out of here, sure!" Java says.

"Sounds like fun!" Aurora says.

"Of course. This is what I wished for… the Greatest Party Ever!" Pumpkin cheers.

A long, fun, and fantastic party later. In the house, it shows so many ponies inside.

A stallion cheers, "This is the Greatest Party Ever! I never want it to end!"

The house reaches to Baltimare, and drops, Cheese, Pinkie, Sun and Regana, Cozy Glow and her Family, and the three fillies off at the party.

Pinkie cheers, "Have a great time, Housey! Just remember our deal! Ponies get to come and go when they need to. Those ponies will tell other ponies and your reputation will grow and grow until they start coming to you!"

"And party on, you big ol' house party!" Cheese happily says.

Sun sighs and says, "We finally made it out of there."

"Yeah. And I can use some sleep. Ever thought we ended up back at my home town," Cozy says.

Then Blossom says, "If that's the case, you and your friends want to stay with us?"

Cozy feels a bit guilty and says "Mom. Dad. Rose. There's something I need to tell you. I uh, did something bad."

"Let me guess, you decided to go all power hungry and decided to destroy Equestria," Blossom says.

"And that you ended up being punished and somehow escaped," Night Glow adds.

"huh? You knew?" Cozy asks, shocked.

"Um yeah. Twilight has been sending our parents your progress. I must admit, we were shocked, but when she wrote how much we improved, we can't help but be proud of you," Rose Glow says.

Then Blossom Glow says, "I remember you had trouble making friends at your own school, but we're glad that we agreed to let you sign up going to the school."

"Of course, we hope that you can continue to go to the school and learn more about friendship, and hope you will write to us more often, "Night Glow says.

Cozy Glow then hugs her parents and sister, "Mom. Dad. Rose. You're the best, and I'm sorry I haven't written back. I felt so bad about what I did, I just didn't have the heart to face or write to you."

Then she begins to cry.

Blossom pets her, "Don't worry Glowy, it's okay."

Sun, Pinkie, and Cheese, and the young fillies smile to see the family happily hugging each other with glee. She is glad that Cozy Glow is able to become close to her family, and it ends up being thanks to Housey.
