Soon Sarah Jane and Lynda were walking down the street. "Sarah, if you don't mind me asking, how long did you travel with the Doctor?" Lynda asked.
"About two years," Sarah Jane replied. "After which he suddenly dumped me back on Earth. Long story. The funny part was that he thought he'd left me in Croydon, where I was living at the time. Turns out he was a little off."
"How much off?"
"It was, in fact, Aberdeen!" Sarah Jane said and laughed. "It wasn't the end though. A few years later, he sent me a robot dog called K9. We had a lot of adventures together. In time, myself and some others I came to call friends, began having adventure out of my home on Bannerman Road. I even met a couple of more incarnations of the Doctor."
"You did?" Lynda asked. "Was one of them the Doctor I met?"
"No, I don't think so," Sarah Jane said, shaking her head. "I think they were the ones that came after him. Mind you, I'm not really sure."
"I only had that one adventure," Lynda said. "I wanted to travel with him. Of course, I never got the chance. Thanks to those Daleks."
"Daleks?" Sarah Jane said, looking at Lynda.
"You've met them?"
"More times than I care to remember," Sarah Jane replied. "I was lucky to escape with my life."
"I didn't," Lynda said sadly. "However, ending up here, made it all worth it. Do you think..."
"Yes?"
"Do you think that the Doctor would ever come here?"
"I have no idea," Sarah Jane said. "Although I won't rule the possibility out."
