Chapter 25: The Great Witch Invasion

Previously on Winx for life:

Amber's POV:

"There," I pointed out to the large green tree. It was a humongous tree with its branches spread out widely and vines hanging from it. Its leaves were lush green shaped in a heart. It was truly beautiful. We walked towards it with cautious steps our eyes searching for a particular person, or should I say spirit? "Mista?" I called out once we were close enough to the tree. "Are you here?" I asked extending my hand and caressing the bark of the tree.

"Amber... we finally meet again." I heard a voice and there stood the person I longed to see. Finally, I will get my answers.

Amber's POV:

My mouth was slightly ajar as I gazed up at my beautiful sister. Her body was draped in a beautiful purple one shoulder long flowy dress. On her arms just below her elbows long matching ribbons were tied. Her eyes were covered by a beautiful purple mask with intricate designs. Her hair was left open, letting it flow below her knees. A beautiful crown stood proudly on her head. Light glowed around her! She was BEAUTIFUL! "H-hi" I squeaked out. I remember last time I was so mean to her. Dylan kept a comforting hand on my back and I slightly relaxed.

"Welcome, my beautiful sister. I am so glad to finally see you here!" She croaked and my eyes filled with tears. My sister, my real elder sister!

"How are you?" I asked looking down as guilt surged through me. Looking up again I found her eyes, "I am sorry Mista, I didn't believe you! I was such a witch!" Tears flowed down my cheeks and concern flashed across her face.

"It's ok, dear," Mista assured floating forwards and pulling me into a hug. She was cold yet warm, and I felt safe in her arms. "Now we must hurry Amber, your destiny is awaiting you."

I looked at her confused. "What do you mean? And what is this voice in my head? Why do I keep hearing that voice? I have so many questions Mista." I said as questions in my head kept on coming.

"Calm down lil sis! I will answer all your questions." Mista smiled. "But first follow me." We were about to follow her when she turned to Dylan. "I am sorry, but I think you should go to Magix."

"But why?" Dylan asked frowning deeply.

"I am afraid there is someone who needs your help. You must hurry there." Mista answered.

"But what about…" Dylan turned to me his eyes shining with worry.

"I will be fine Dy. You should do what Mista is telling you to do. Hurry. I will follow my destiny and you follow yours." I assured.

"Fine but you are coming to Magix in 1 and a half hour! Okay?"

"Okay!" I smiled. He nodded once again and walked away into the wood in the direction of Magix.

Mista turned to me and gestured me to follow her. I followed her inside the tree. And when I entered, it was as if there was a new world. Birds and animals of all species were seen. There were other trees too! This is- it's magic! "Come have a seat." Mista gestured toward seats made of wood. I smiled at her and took a seat. "Now, we don't have much time." My head snapped towards her.

"What do you mean?" I asked.

"Your friends need you, Amber. And that's why we have to finish this soon." Mista explained and I held my breath as she started speaking.

3rd Person's POV:

Meanwhile at Cloud Tower the Army of Decay was ready to attack. "Well ladies, Red Fountain has become our dragon stable, and the entire town of Magix is in a deep sleep. All that's left to conquer are those pixies at Alfea. And with this army personally led by me, their destruction will be swift, complete and merciless." Icy cackled along with other witches. Huge dirty decay monsters complete their formation and start marching ready to attack.

"Ready to fly over there?" Stormy asked impatiently.

"Oh we're not flying, watch this. Decay and rot, rise up high. Build three thrones that reach the sky." Icy chanted and some of the rot monsters started dismantling forming three high thrones for the witches to sit on. The witches laughed evilly taking their seats. "Move out!" Icy commanded and the monsters once again began their march ready for destruction.

Celeste's POV:

We were currently in Flora and Bloom's Room trying to revive Mirta. "Poor Mirta. I feel like I've done everything I can." Flora mumbled sadly.

"You might as well toss it in Flo." Musa sighed.

"You don't mean 'give up.'" Flora said.

"Look, if any one of us could break Icy's spell it's you and, obviously, it's not happening. Just let it go, it'd be better for everyone," Musa tried to explain, "right Stel?" Musa turned to Stella who was in balcony looking over Alfea grounds.

"It's sad but it's totally true." Stella turned around her eyes shiny with tears, "there's no hope for Mirta as a human. Poor thing."

"I think it's time to go find her a nice, sunny pumpkin patch." Musa suggested.

"Yeah, at least that way she'll be among friends." Stella said almost crying.

"Stop talking like that!" Flora butted in.

"Flora will never give up on her." Tecna smiled.

"Flora shouldn't give up on her." I added in. "I think she can do it."

"I think so too." Flora smiled a little motivated.

"Then use all your winx in one last try." Musa encouraged. The pumpkin started sparkling a little showing us Mirta's approval.

"Even Mirta agrees." I smiled. "Go for it Flo. You can do it."

Flora drew in a long breath and mustered all her powers for one last try. She brought her hands around the Mirta. "Reach out for me Mirta." Flora tried caressing Mirta's leaves. The pumpkin started glowing even more as if Mirta's if trying he best too.

"Something's happening!" Musa stated.

Bright light shone out of the pumpkin making us cover our eyes and look away. I couldn't see a thing. After a few moments the light faded out and we opened our eyes to see Mirta gone.

"Where'd she go?" I asked my eyebrows furrowing.

"Is she gone?" Flora asked worriedly.

"I'm right here." I heard a voice and our heads snapped to Mirta. This was my first time seeing her. She actually looked cool in her gothic clothes.

"You're back." Flora gasped and twirled around pulling her in a hug. "I am so happy!"

"And I'm glad to have legs and arms again. Thank you so much for not giving up on me Flora." Mirta giggled happily.

"You know, I think it finally worked because we both tried way harder than we ever had before." Flora smiled.

"Yeah and we both believed it was gonna work too. For that one second we like lost all our doubts." Mirta added.

From the corner of my eyes I saw Stella walk to the balcony and smile slightly. "Not to upstage your grand entrance or anything Mirta, but there's a tall, dark, brooding hunk of a guy pacing around under our balcony. Why don't you go see what's troubling him Musa?" Stella smirked looking at Musa who blushed a little.

"Is it Riven?" I asked smiling slightly. Musa and Riven would make a good couple. Stella just hummed in response.

"Yeah, why do I care?" Musa shrugged folding her arms. "But I could go for a walk. You know, catch a little breeze." What a lame excuse Musa…

"You can stop pouting now Riven, she's on her way down." Stella shouted over and we all iggled at is typical gboy response of 'Uh who?'

The clouds in the sky were now darker and all six of us were down walking in the campus. "So you're a witch Mirta, do you know any inside secrets on how we can defeat Icy, Darcy and Stormy?" I asked.

"They're on a whole another level. They're, like, so totally dedicated to destruction." Mirta replied her voice a little scared.

"Maybe, a manicure/pedicure combo would chill 'em out." Stella joked.

"Why are you turning this into a joke?" Tecna scolded rolling her eyes.

"I'm just trying to lighten things up." Stella explained. "Same as Pepe's trying to do for Kiko and Trey." I looked at Pepe trying to cheer Kiko but failing miserably. Seeing them reminds me of my cat Sugar. I sent her to Icora for some grooming but will only call her back after the battle. Kiko looked so sad. And Trey who was always energrtic and running around was lying sadly on the ground.

"Aww, they're worried about Amber and Bloom." I said sadly.

"Well hey, we're all worried about them." Munsa sighed. "But they're gonna be fine. No way no how is any rot monster or witch gonna take down my girls Amber and Bloom." I hope they are alright. They are our only hope now.

Bloom's POV:

"Daphne? Were you calling for me? You're here, aren't you? I can feel it." I called out as I walked into the lake.

"Yes, Bloom. I'm here." A familiar soothing voice echoed from below the lake.

"How did you get here?" I asked totally confused.

"You brought me, Bloom." The voice answered.

"What? When did I do that?" I questioned getting even more confused. I walk deeper into the lake.

"Come into the water, so you can see me." The voice ordered.

"Okay, but there's kind of a small problem with that cause, see, I can't really breathe underwater." I chuckled at the sound of it.

"Close your eyes Bloom, and picture yourself below the surface..." Daphne instructed and looked down at my reflection in the water. Through my reflection I could see little of the underwater world. "And you will be here." The voice continued. "Believe and it will happen. It's time for you to find me Bloom. It's time for you to complete your journey. Are you ready?"

"Yes, I'm ready." I replied confidently. Finally I will get the answers I want.

"Good, then come, come beneath the water. Leave the world behind and dive into yourself." I did exactly what Daphne said and closed my eyes. I imagined myself below the surface and the next moment when I oopen my eys I was there.

"Whoa. This is like when Miss Faragonda astral-projected me."

"Do you understand now Bloom? When Miss Faragonda projected you, all she did was take you deep into yourself, not to a lake on another planet. You see, that's where I exist Bloom: inside of you." Daphne said as she appeared infront of me in her majestic form. He is truly beautiful!

"This is like some kind of dream." I stated astonished.

"A dream and a reality, together." I moved towards her. "You're very close to finding your powers Bloom. Keep looking." Daphne commanded.

"Huh?" I asked looking everywhere when one thing catches my eyes.

"What do you see?" She questioned.

"I see my parents' house on Earth." I replied confused.

"That is the place you went after the coven destroyed the kingdom of Domino. The place I took you to begin your journey." She started, "The place where you would grow up loved, and unharmed until the time was right. Earth was wonderful. You had parents, friends, even people who didn't understand you, all of these things helped make you who you are." Daphne finished.

"But who am I? Earth girl or Princess of Domino?" I questioned looking down.

"We are the sum of all our experiences: the friends we make, the people we love, all of these things make us who we are. Ordinary Earth girl and heir to the royal kingdom of Domino, that is who you are. Daughter of Mike and Vanessa and keeper of the Dragon Flame, that is who you are. Who you are Bloom, that can never be taken from you. What's inside you can never be taken from you. What's in your heart: that can never be taken. Now Bloom, your journey is over. You have arrived." Daphne explained. "And Bloom, talk to Amber when you get time." Saying this she disappeared.

"Daphne? Daphne?!" I called but there was no answer. "Huh? Who I am, what's inside me? What's in my heart?" I asked myself repeating the questions Daphne said. "I am Bloom. I am a princess. I am the keeper of the Dragon Fire. And no one will take that away from me." I said confidently. I believed in myself and suddenly I could feel my powers. They engulfed around me and before I knew it, I was transforming. Time to go see Sky.

Amber's POV:

"Now listen carefully Amber, to the story I tell." Mista stated and I sat up straighter giving all my attention to Mista. "You know how Domino was destroyed. And because of the connection between Domino and Eidolon, Eidolon was destroyed too. It was unexpected for us. Our parents along with Bloom's parents fought together. We thought victory was our, after all most powerful leaders were fighting together. But destiny had other plans." Tears flowed down my eyes as she recited the story. "Bloom, the keeper of dragon fire, was safely teleported to earth by Daphne. But I didn't know what to do. My powers were too weak that time, because of an incident. I couldn't do anything." Her voice cracked with vulnerability. It was clear that these memories brought her pain. "But then with some miracle our parents came home. They were there and they took you with them to Earth. They moved in next to Bloom's house so they could keep a watch on both of you. No one knows how they returned or why. Even I don't. Why I am saying this is because YOU are the princess of Eidolon and YOU are the one who possesses the great dragon inside of you." WHAT? Tell me she is joking!

"So, are you saying the voice…" I trailed off.

"Yes it's the Great Dragon." Mista confirmed my doubts.

"But how? How is it inside me? And why?" I asked. I know stupid question but this all just doesn't make sense to me right now.

"Because you are the heir to the throne of Eidolon, Amber, that's how he is inside you. And you were young and innocent and the great dragon only resides in the heart of an innocent. You had no maliciousness nor were any selfishness and you are its true keeper. The Dragon chose you Amber." Mista explained.

"And what powers does this Dragon have, like Bloom's is of fire… what is the great dragon's power?" I asked.

"The great dragon has psychic as well as elemental powers. He can control fire, water, earth, and wind. He also connects you to the people around you. When the dragon shows itself you will be able to recognize the person without seeing him or her. I guess you can do it with your friends right now." Mista smiled as she informed me. "One more thing Amber, Bloom and you are connected. Because of the connection between the planets one person on Domino is connected to one person on Eidolon. I am connected to Daphne and you, to Bloom."

"I guess I can." I thought back to the time when once we were playing blindfold tag I could immediately tell who was near me without seeing or hearing them. And because I am connected to Bloom is that why sometimes our powers get exchanged and I can feel her emotions strongly? Maybe. "But then why do I have weather powers?" I asked curiously.

Mista smiled as she floated towards me and took a seat beside me. "That's because the great dragon can't show itself right now. There's a time and place for everything Amber, and the great dragon will only show itself when he feels the time has come. So to disguise itself he gave you secondary powers which are equally powerful but no one will know you are from Eidolon as no one possesses weather powers on Eidolon."

"Ohh…" I nodded.

"You will be able to use your true powers too Amber. The dragon will train you itself." Mista stated making my eyes widen.

"What?" I gasped.

"Yes. Slowly and steadily you will learn how to use your true powers." But till then Amber, you can't tell anyone about this. You can't tell anyone that you are the keeper of the great dragon."

"Not even Dylan?" I asked sadly. I hated hiding things from him.

"No Amber. That's how the dragon will like it. He will reveal itself when he knows the time s right. Till then you can't tell this to anyone. Okay?"

"Okay sissy. But do you think anyone knows?" I asked suspiciously.

"I think Miss Faragonda has caught on, but I am not sure." Mista replied. "Now Amber, it's time for you to go and help your friends."

"Yes Mista." I smiled. "But my powers?"

"The dragon will allow you to use your powers now." Mista reassured and I grinned. But it fell when I realized something.

"When will we meet again?" I asked.

"When destiny decides." Was her last reply before she disappeared. What? No no no! she can't go like this!

"MISTA?" I called out loudly but my voice just echoed. I drew in a deep breath calming my nerves and walked out of the enchanted place. I hope we meet soon Mista.

"Now Winx" I said and felt the transformation. I twirled around as purple skirt and top morphed around my body. I felt my wing flutter out of my back and my boots wrapping around my leg. My hands extended outside as two small frilly bracelets wrapped around my wrists. The purple bow planted itself on my head and I was ready to fight. I am so happy you finally know the truth! Makes things easier for me. I heard him as I spread my arms to feel my winx. I felt oddly stronger.

Hmm good for you and me Mr. Dragon. I smiled as I flew in full force towards Magix.

Third Person's POV:

At the meanwhile the witches were taking the invisible road to surprise the fairies. But the fairies had an ally- the Undines. The saw this and immediately took off to Alfea to inform Miss Faragonda.

At Alfea everyone was tired of waiting and wanted the battle to be over once and for all. The winx and the boys were all worried about Amber, Dylan, Bloom and Sky. Just then the undines came with their information to Miss Faragonda. "This is it! Everybody, to your positions! The final battle is coming to Alfea, and Alfea will be ready!" She ordered as soon as she received the news.

Amber's POV:

I reached Magix in time to see Dylan and Sky surrounded by four monsters. "Hey Amber!" I heard Bloom and smiled. "Why don't we help them?"

"Sure." I smirked and faced the monsters gaining in on the boys. "Hey there, Tentacle Mouth! Back away from the princes!" I ordered making all the heads snap onto me.

"Bloom" Sky shouted delighted.

"Amber I am glad you are okay!" I heard Dylan and smiled brightly.

"Same Dy! Now let us get you both out of there." I said.

Bloom blasts two of them and smirks as it turns to ashes. "Nobody messes with my boyfriend!" She growled.

I in the meantime destroyed the other two with a small wind whirl. Eh they were no match for me. The dragon said arrogantly.

You didn't even contribute. I retorted. "Bloom! I am so happy to see you!" I called onto her and we hugged eachother tightly.

"Me too! Thank goodness you both are okay!" She hugged back.

We landed and ran to towards the boys. I ran towards Dylan hugged him. "I am so happy to see you again." I sobbed.

"Hey, why are you crying? I am happy to see you, you saved my life. Thanks" He thanked and I stepped out of his arms.

"I am sure you could handle it alone too." I reassured and he smiled at me. We joined Bloom and Sky to see them awkward. These guys need to date soon. "So your powers are back?" I asked Bloom.

"They never left me. I just hope I didn't realize that too late." Bloom answered sighing sadly.

"Better late than never." Sky comforted and we started walking through the city. It was a mess. A total disaster.

"So, what happened here?" I asked looking around at the horrifying sight. It pained me to see people like that.

"I'm not sure but I think the Rot Monsters did it with their tentacles. It seems the Witches made them more powerful than last time." Dylan answered.

"Oh, can these people be revived?" Bloom asked the question on my mind. I looked sadly at a person who was webbed to the wall.

"We don't know Bloom." Sky replied in a soft tone.

"Stella! The girls, if those witches—" Bloom gasped.

"Oh no!" My eyes widened.

"Let's not jump to any conclusions, let's just get back to Alfea." Dylan cut in.

"He is right." Sky agreed. "Let's head to Alfea first."

"Leave that to us." I said determinedly. Bloom nodded and conjured a dragon. I was about to conjure mine but then I remembered I was meant to keep it a secret.

"Grab on!" She instructed and both the guys followed. She looked at me and I shook my head.

"I think I can keep up with its speed." I said. "I need to exercise a little too." Flying up in the air I followed Bloom's dragon. You wanted to conjure me didn't you? My dragon asked and I smiled sadly. Soon Amber soon.

Third Person's POV:

The witches were on their way and Alfea is preparing for its defense. Miss Faragonda and Miss Griffin discussed about Bloom and how she is their only hope now. The battle was nearing and Bloom had to succeed and return. Even though it was naïve Miss Faragonda had to believe that Bloom will return and save Alfea from the witches. She was the only hope. "Do you hear that Griffin?" Miss Faragonda asked turning to Miss Griffin.

"I do. They're here." Miss Griffin replied gravely. The final battle was here!
