The D.E.O. Base

Oliver Queen, still weak from his last trip, slowly gets off from the bed.

"Kara?", Oliver calls.

"She's not here Oliver", J'onn addressed.

"Where is she?", Oliver questions. Barely holding a feat to balance.

J'onn relocates his arms-crossed position to a stand. Gesturing Oliver to follow him.

Oliver slowly parades his viewed point. Out of the room.

"What happened to her? Is she okay?"

J'onn tilts his head to face Oliver, whom stopped.

"I don't know where she is. That's what worries me"

"Worries you?", Oliver followed upon. He heard from Kara that they both had a rough acquaintance before falling out. "From what I've heard. You don't even trust her".

J'onn knew Kara told him about what happened between him and Kara. Considering the relationship they share.

Agents passing by Oliver and J'onn, who's disguised as Hank.

Oliver leans close to J'onn. "I don't trust you J'onn. But if Kara's in danger then I'll do whatever you say. In order to bring her back".

Seeing where their line stands, J'onn nods in acceptance and motions him to follow.

J'onn explained what's been going on while Oliver was out. The Bizarro invasion. The clash between her and Alex, that lead to serious injuries. One that Alex could heal for months. And the clash between Bizarro and Supergirl.

"Did Kara win?", Oliver asked. If J'onn was in the battle field, and he made it. Then Supergirl should've made it. And Bizarro would've been down.

"Unfortunately I couldn't see clearly which side won. I was keeping an eye out for Alex. Kara wasn't seen ever since the last shock I felt"

"And Alex? Did she make it?", Oliver asked worryingly. Though the answer won't level him high into happiness but if Alex is still alive, that's enough to for him to feel a bit good.

"She's been hit with many bruises. She can't walk. So I sent her to Midvale", said J'onn.

"Okay", Oliver significantly breathed in after two seconds of staying quiet. "Okay I'm going to go check on her".

"I think's best you leave her to herself. When she heard news about Kara's disappearance, she was shocked. Angry. Sad. That she couldn't save her sister"

Kara did tell Oliver once that J'onn kept a promise to Alex's father that he'd take care of Kara and Alex.

"Look J'onn. I understand you care about Alex. And Kara. But please let me visit her", Oliver begged to John. "We don't know what she's feeling. Any minute now she could break. Alex needs someone who understands what she's going through".

J'onn was stiff for a few seconds but that soon changed. J'onn nodded in allowing Oliver to visit Alex.

Midvale

A knock on a door prompts a lady to open the door. Revealing Oliver Queen.

"Oliver?", the woman named. She knew Oliver since they've met once or twice over the past two months.

"Hi Eliza", Oliver greeted in humane polite manner. "I came to see Alex. About Kara".

When Eliza heard her adopted daughter's name, she turned in sadness. Leaving that aside. "Come in".

Oliver accepted Eliza's gesture of coming in.

Oliver walked upstairs to meet Alex.

Alex Danvers. Stranded on a wheel chair. Covered with thousands of banadages. Bruised. Broken. In pain. Looks over the windows.

'Where are you Kara?', Alex talks to herself telepathically.

Then a sudden creak from the door caught Alex's attention.

"Oliver?"

"Hey. Sorry that I didn't come earlier. I was unconscious", Oliver dotted as he sat on a ledge near Alex.

"It's fine. I was just expecting some privacy"

"Oh okay. It's fine I can leave if you wan-"

"No. No. It's okay. I think I might need some company", said Alex.

"Okay"

As Oliver sat down in the same ledge. The two exchanged talks about Alex's past life with Kara prior to her being Supergirl. Some seconds, Oliver would slightly giggle over some of Kara's misunderstanding performance from before whenever Alex mentioned a part that would've made her laugh. Talked a lot about herself blaming Kara for their father's apparent death. Fights. Arguments. All of it. And how they soon grew to be more warm to each other.

"It was there when I decided to be more caring for her. Instead of hate"

"You two formed quite a bond. As expected. Like me and my sister"

When Alex heard Oliver mentioning her sister's name, she took this as a rare opportunity of questioning. "So speaking of your sister. Mind telling me about her. Since I told my end".

Oliver really did fall for it. His sympathy for Alex and Kara let his guard down.

"It's complicated"

"I know what's complicated as it stands"

About Thea. Seeing no other way to end it considering Alex's condition is bad. Oliver finally lets the dust off. Explaining to Alex about his history with Thea.

When they were young, Oliver and Thea had a better life. One that diminished slowly when Oliver was stranded on an island. 5 years after, Oliver became a whole new character. Keeping tons of secrets from Thea. His parents. Even his closest friends. Soon that changed due to Thea's ongoing advices. To slowly bit more and more people into his secret. Thea was one of them. And the latter, whom was revealed to Oliver as Malcolm's daughter, trained under the ropes of her biological father. One time, Thea walked away from Starling City. Now it was Oliver's.

"You two had an on-and-off bond going on. I can see why you do tend to keep them from everyone. Even me"

"Yeah"

Alex inhaled herself. "So that world you came from? Do you reckon you would ever return to it?".

Oliver inhaled himself. "I don't know. Starling City brings nothing more than pain and tragedy. When I leave the city, I felt like my soul is finally free from the darkness. That I don't have to use it anymore".

Alex hold great sympathy for him as she does for herself.

"Remember when I used Bruce's tech to enter Kara's mind?"

"I never got to ask. What was it like?"

Oliver disclosed what he witnessed inside Kara's mind. Kara's future. A whole multiverse controlled by her. Because she lost the people she truly loved the most.

"Wow Oliver. That's so rash for someone like Kara to vision of", Alex remarked.

"Wasn't pretty. A multiverse where you have septillions of life forms. All brainwashed to spread infinite happiness. Kara never understood that pain is a part of real life. Because I wasn't there for her"

"But now you know that you need to be it?"

Oliver shaked his head in response. Alex lets it air slide in to herself.

"Well since your belongings are stranded in that other world, Winn was kind enough to lend a new gear for you. One that resembled your Arrow gear. In case you ever decided to become him"

Oliver did remember 2 months ago that he told Winn about his crusade. About when he became the Arrow. Since the latter was good friends with Kara. Wouldn't be that much of a surprise to him. After learning about Winn's personality.

"Can't say that's the worst thing", Oliver remarked. Smiling brightly. To Alex. Which she did the same.

"Winn would help anyone he's allied with. Tools and weapons he can specialise into making"

"Winn's a great guy to have in your team. Especially when you need him as eyes and ears. Reminds me of a ex-friend I worked with in my crusade", Oliver noted. His subsequent respect for the latter who could do things that'd rival Felicity's. Oliver can't tell who's better.

"Well I think it's time you get going", Alex reminded.

Oliver nods as the man walks away.

'I hope you're safe Kara. Wherever you are. Oliver will find you', Alex stitches in her mind.
