Finally, we're here! Ink and Rust have now entered Libra! So what will await them especially our main character, Rust?!

Woah... They both thought as they take in the office and their surroundings. It looks fancy but comfortable and homey. It was amazing to look at. It was really big. Plants were sitting at the window stills and some are hanging above the windows. There was a lounge and a large bookshelf at the right. But the huge window that is behind the desk, right in front of them. The sunrays fill through filling the plants with nutrients. The penthouse from last night had nothing on this but that wasn't it. But it is Libra's executive addressing them that got them at awe.

"It's nice to meet you again, Rust. And this must be your friend, yes?" Klaus walked over to them.

Woah...Rust wasn't kidding! He looks kinda scary but he looks so awesome! Ink beamed as she has a feeling that this guy is
super-duper strong!

"Yeah, this is Ink." Rust nods with a small smile.

"Ah, it's nice to make your acquaintance, Miss Ink." He offered a handshake to her to which Ink accepts right away.

"Nice to meet you too, mister Klaus! Just call me Ink though!" Ink shakes his hand enthusiastically with a bright smile, "Thanks for looking out after Rust, mister Klaus!"

The hell is she so happy for?! Zapp stared. Normal people who meet Klaus would be slightly afraid or taken back by appearance. Then again...these kids aren't your typical kids on the streets.

"The pleasure is all mine," Klaus replied gently. "Anyway, please have a seat both of you."

The duo both seated at the couch with their hands on their laps. Then someone came over to them as two teacups are set down on the table and a plate with chocolate-chip cookies. "Thank you, Gilbert." Klaus nodding as the man in bandages wearing a suit and tie made the teens think that this guy is a butler and they're not wrong.

"Of course. Enjoy your tea, young ones." Gilbert smiled at them kindly.

"Thanks." They both said with a respectful nod. Ink takes one chocolate chip and bites,

"Wow! They taste yummy!" She noms another cookie. Gilbert chuckles, "Your welcome."

"I supposed that you two have questions?" Klaus asked. The teens looked at each other and don't know where to start. This got Zapp groaning. "You two came here and don't get any questions?!"

"Zapp, please." Zed frowned. This got Rust racked his brain and soon, the first thing that came to his mind was...

"What happened to that Blood Breed we fought? Did we beat him?" Ink was the first to ask as Rust has the same thought. She just beat him to it.

"Ah yes. The Blood Breed from last night won't bother you anymore. He has been sealed away." Klaus said this with confidence.

"Sealed?" She asked.

"Yes, sometimes we can't kill Blood Breed therefore the best way to defeat them is by sealing them."

"Even with our attacks?!" Ink exclaimed.

"You almost managed to force him to make into a Zhen Tai Dan. It was a good thing we arrived early to prevent that from happening." Klaus explained as he answered Ink's exclaimation with a nod.

"What's a...Zhen...Tai What?" Ink asked.

"Yeah...what's that?" Rust asked.

There is a soft chuckle across the office, it was a man with short black hair in a dark grey suit and has a yellow tie. The teens blinked as they did a double-take. He has a thin scar running down the left side of his face or so it seems. He came over with a smile as he explains, "It's what Blood Breeds transform when they're losing or rather losing their body parts." He laughs, "It's a form in an ugly egg womb with a lot of eyes. It's where inside they're regenerate, in the meantime, it makes sure nothing gets close to it using spikes defending it. "

"So like...uh...alien egg or cocoon, but they aren't butterflies," Rust asked, as teens start to get an idea of what would it look in their heads.

"That's quite right. That's one way to describe it." Klaus nodded. Ink then groans as she leans back then takes a bite of her cookie, "Man...so we didn't beat him?! That sucks!" She said. This got Steven chuckling while Leo just stares at her in disbelief. Why is she so disappointed for?! If anything, she should be glad that Klaus seals it away.

This got Rust sighing too. Him too? Zapp twitches an eye.

"So that guy from last night chased us. He said he got a master and he wanted revenge on him." Rust said, "I'm goin to guess that master of his is from the hospital, right? For some reason, he has the same smell as him." Rust frowned. He doesn't know how, but it's gut feeling.

"Indeed, you are correct, Rust. I believe that Zed explained to you how humans can become Blood Breeds. I assumed the Blood Breed from the hospital is an Elder Breed like the one that chased you. If I may ask, do you two know the Blood Breed that attacked you at the train station near Central Park on March 4th?"

"Nope." Ink answered.

"Nah." Rust shakes his head. "If anythin, it's our first-time seeing this guy like that before. He just turned a bunch of people into zombies and-ugh" Wait...how could he remember that. He had headaches when he wakes up in the hospital and he couldn't remember shit. Ink sensed Rust's difficulty and so, she goes to help out by explaining what happened.

"So, here's what happened! Me, Rust, and Navarro were just waiting for the train, right? Then things got weird! People were running and then there were zombies! So, we killed all of them until that guy shows up! We both fought but he hurt Rust! Really bad! We thought we were done for until Navarro told us, Rust saved our butts by going demon or somethin!" Ink smiled, looking at Rust.

"Wait...going demon?" Steven raised a brow.

"I see. What happened the night before? At the party." Klaus asked.

"Oh yeah! Rust saved me and Oblivion again by bringing out that big blood dog dragon thingy!" Ink exclaimed.

"Big blood dragon thingy?" Leo stared.

"I don't know how it happened but Rust's blood dog dragon bites most of his body like how a dog bites! CHOMP!" Ink made chomping noises as an exaggeration. "Thanks to him, I used Wyvern taking his head off and having his body turn into blue flames like whoo!" Ink motioned her hands to tell the story as if it's a great epic tale.

"So, it happened again, huh?" Steven hummed. This got the two paused which Rust narrows his eyes. "Again?"

"Rust...have you remember anything at the hospital? Like when you got severely injured when the Blood Breed attacked?" Klaus asked gently which all eyes are on him making him uncomfortable.

Rust blinked and look hesitated, "Well...uh...I can't remember...sorry" Rust said. Zapp wasn't convinced. "You're lyin!"

Rust growled as he doesn't want to talk about it. "I don't remember, okay? I can't explain to ya!" He repeated. More like, he doesn't want to. He can remember seeing red and wanting to kill that son of a bitch. It's hard to talk about this with strangers.

"Well...I don't believe it because it sounds like ya do! What? You're af-"

"Zapp." It was Klaus holding up his hand, pausing him making the lanky man grumbled with his arms crossed. "Rust, I understand how difficult it is to ask for help and coming here but not to worry. At Libra, we make sure you will learn everything about your blood powers and how to utilize them."

"So...do you know what I got? I mean...I only know how to use my blood inside my arm. Not...out of it." Rust sighed, scratching his head.

Klaus and Steven glanced at each other for a quick moment then Steven speaks, "Your blood powers aren't like what we use before but we do hear about an ability that can...deter Blood Breeds effectively." Steven fixing his tie.

Ink blinked sensing some hesitation, "If you have something important to say it, say it!" Ink tells Steven, "I mean Rust really wants to know what's going on with him. I know you're worried about him, but keeping stuff from him is not going to help, you know." Ink frowned.

Steven sighed "Alright, what we're about to say is going to shock you both but we want to know if you're going to remain calm after hearing this." He eyed Rust especially given what he heard about how the group encountered him.

Rust takes a deep breath as he has felt this is something, he's not going to like hearing about but it's better to get this over with and deal with it later. "Alright, lay it on me. Just tell me." He's ready. He's ready to take on anything right now.

"Okay...after what we witnessed based on the reports and how you fought Blood Breeds. This is just a hypothesis." If anything, in Steven's mind, it's a good one. It was painfully obliviously. "We believe that you use the blood from them against them or rather have their blood that heals your wounds after using your attack. We watch the footage from the hospital thanks to our fellow agents and we believe that Rust's blood powers can easily defeat any Blood Breed especially Elder ones. Your fights and how your wounds heal after the fight as nothing happened."

Ink and Rust have questionable faces but they continue to listen.

"Ink, right? I believe you saw this too like how Rust's wounds heal from last night and I assumed he threw up blood afterward, right?" Steven asked to which Ink nods slowly, "Yeah, that's right."

Okay, here it comes... Steven wonders how the two would handle this so he says this straight out,

Rust, your blood power has the power to devour Blood Breeds."

Silence fills the room after hearing that. Leo, Zed, and Zapp are taking this in after hearing that as the blond looks confused, "Devour? What does that-"

"WHAT?!" It was Zapp now yelling, "Wait...are you telling us... That this brat can eat Blood Breeds for lunch like it's nothing?!" Zapp pointed at Rust frantically.

"Can t-that really be possible?" Leo stammered.

"E-eat?" Rust stammered. Wait...I eat them? That's what my blood does?! Wait that can't be right. It begins to sink in as Rust's face became horrified by this revelation. "Uh...Rust?" Ink is now worried about her friend. Nah, it does make really sense after hearing that. I mean after using that monster that I transform with Destroyer; it did take a bite out of that guy and my wounds heal with no problem. It's like I feel good and well...I don't think throwing up is good. What's up with that?! Rust will soon get that answer.

"Damnit...Zapp.." Steven sighed as he scrunched his forehead with his fingers, not liking Zapp's outburst as he summarized it. "Unfortunately, yes. That's how it is. It's a rare ability to have or rather.." He pauses before continuing, "The idea of it is dangerous to consider. A power like that can make Rust a target. It would explain why Blood Breed from the hospital is targeting him."

"I think...I'm going to be sick..." Rust looks pale at this discovery, covering his mouth.

"So why did he throw up after being healed?" Ink asked as she rubs his back for comfort. He wants to know that too!

"It's excess blood he took from the first two Blood Breed. While it did heal your wounds, Rust. It might cause a mental strain and we don't know much how taking a Blood Breed's blood can cause to the body since Blood Breed drain blood from many humans. It's probably the side effect of using your powers." Steven explained as Rust looked at him.

"So...I'm like them?" Rust asked as he tightens his fists.

"You are not, Rust." Klaus said firmly yet still soft, "Your blood makes you different from everyone else especially Blood Breeds. There's nothing wrong with that. I understand how you must feel right now. But it doesn't make you anything like them. What you have that they don't is having friends by your side. That's what makes you different from them."

"Ink, I see you are worried about Rust's power as well," Zed stated.

"Yeah, I'm kind of worried but I think it's kinda cool!" Ink replied.

Eh? That got everyone stopped freaking out like Leo and Zapp for example as all eyes are now on Ink.

"WHAT DO YOU MEAN IT'S COOL?!" Zapp and Leo exclaimed in their minds...

Zed and Klaus want to know the reason along with Steven who is amused by this.

"Wait...what?" Rust just blinked at his leader, wondering why she is not disgusted with a monster like him? He doesn't know what to think of that. So, he has to ask, "You're not...freaked out by this or...grossed out?" He asked hesitantly.

"Well...it does freak me out and it's kind of freaky," She said honestly, "But it's kind like fighting fire with fire, you know! Besides...like Klaus said! You're not like them, you're a demon like us! It doesn't change anything between us!" Ink laughed. "You're still you, Rust. It doesn't change anything! If anything, you save me, Navarro and Oblivion from those Blood Breeds!"

"Ink..." Rust as his heart feels light after hearing that.

"Indeed. Like Ink said. We fang hunters endure rigorous training to get where we are and how our blood techniques came to be. We sacrifice most of our life to hone them. While most of the residents in Hellsalem's Lot think otherwise, we are the ones who keep this city in balance while battling Blood Breeds. Rust does not think of yourself as less, think of how you can use that power for good like you always done before."

After hearing that, Rust's mind is away from bad thoughts as he forgot to realize this. Always done before? He usually uses his powers to do the right thing with his team. Fight bad guys like gangs, bounty hunters, corrupt people, and many more. They're right. He's still himself. Nothing changes. He just gained a new power-up. Sure, he's scared but he needs to deal with it. He keeps thinking. If he can handle on his blood then maybe-

"Now you mentioned it, demons are considered dangerous like Blood Breeds and I wouldn't be surprised if that were the case for your otherworldly blood powers and the rest of your group. I heard rumors that demons considered rivals due to Blood Breed because of having different abilities." Steven mused. Speaking of demons, unlike Blood Breeds, demons don't have specific characteristics and not all demons are the same which is kind of annoying to deal with. He thought. "That's what you two are, right?" He asked as they looked young to be demons if not...human.

"Yep! Though we're not born like this, we used to be human before becoming demons!" Ink laughs as Rust nods.

"WHAT?!"

"I see," Klaus replied he is calm as ever. Zapp yelled, "Why you so calm, Chief?!"

"Oh...well...that explains things then," Steven said. "I do hear rumors of humans turning into demons through a contract so this is the first-time meeting some up close." But how did kids like these roped up into that? That was the question.

"Anyway...since everything is being said, Rust, what do you plan to do now?" Zed asked. Rust blinked before groaning a bit, "Man...I really don't know but...I want to come here just to know and after hearing that I'm not sure. But if I was honest... I really want...to join you guys so I can get a better handle on my powers if it isn't too much trouble." Rust is still hesitating but honestly, he wants to hear from them.

"Of course not! If anything, I would be grateful if you join us, Rust. I would like your friends to join in as well." Klaus said with a smile which made Rust widened his eyes a bit before looking away in embarrassment.

"Wait...you're serious?" Steven asked. Klaus nodded, "Indeed. Their actions made sure to fight the crime for the sake of others." He tightened a fist. "Not to mention, they faced down a monster despite being young. Their bravery is something to commend on."

Ink grinned which got Rust to smile a bit.

"I agree with Mr. Klaus. You're young and so far with the fight, you had with Zapp. You would improve after getting some training, I promise you to have better control than you have ever before." Zed added to which Zapp scoffed, "Yeah but don't get cocky because learning blood power technique is hell so don't forget that!"

"Same here! Even though I'm nothing like these guys but I want to say thank you and sorry!"

"Thank you? For what? Why you sayin sorry for?" Rust asked.

"For saving me at the hospital! If it weren't for you, I would be so dead plus! I got really you hurt and-"

"Ah...don't worry about it!" Rust said with a smile, "If anything, it didn't hurt a lot." He laughs. Ink nods, "Yeah! Rust is our heavy hitter of the team!" She smiled. Rust scratched his nose at that compliment.

"And I think...it would be good for you to join us. " Leonardo said. Rust then turns to Ink wanting to know her opinion,

"Ink?" Rust asked.

"Why not? I think you're going to learn a lot from here. For some reason, I think having people with similar powers can help you a lot if not! More fun for you!" Ink grinned. Rust can't help but chuckle at this. He was happy to hear supportive words and so the blond, Rust Knight The Machine Destroyer has finally made his decision.

"Well...if I get to kick ass and have my shit together, then... why the hell not?" Rust grinned. There was a lot of thinking about this. Now knowing about his power is capable of. So, the only thing is to get better at it. He can't stay like this forever. He got to improve. There's no turning back now!

"Thanks for letting me join." Rust smiled.

"We welcome to have you, Rust." Klaus smiled.

Seconds later...

"So when do I start?" Rust asked curiously.

"If you like, you can come in tomorrow. We don't have set schedule but it would be beneficial if you come in the late morning so you can get a gist of things how we do around here." Klaus answered.

"Sure! That would be good!" Rust smiled.

"Awesome!" Ink grinned, happy that Rust made a decision.

"Now any more questions?" Klaus asked. Rust and Ink looked at each other and then Ink raised her hand,

"I do!"

"Very well, what is it?" Klaus asked kindly.

"Mister Klaus!" Ink now fully stands up from the couch, "We should fight! Right now!" Ink exclaimed with a grin. "How about it?!"

"Hm?" Klaus blinked.

…...

Eh? Everyone's thoughts paused as they all go silent. Everyone except Klaus wondered if they heard wrong but nope.

"Let's fight, mister Klaus!" Ink said happily.

"EH?!"

Well, that was fun, wasn't it?!

Rust agreed to join Libra officially and he is now accepted!

But would Klaus accept Ink's challenge?! Find out in the next chapter!

P.S ( I was worried about how to write on this goes down and feel free to criticize this chapter! Because I worried about the pace of this chapter! m )
