Laxus was wary as he stepped into the guild behind everyone else. They had been told that they were frozen on the island for seven years, a concept his brain was still trying to wrap around, even though he'd had the whole boat ride home to process it. It had only felt like a few days to him, so when he tried to picture what Lucy and his daughter looked like now, his mind would just show them as he remembered them.

When the dragon had attacked them, and it had felt like all hope was lost, his heart ached at the thought of never seeing them again, of leaving his daughter without a father... again. He wanted nothing but to see them again. As he slowly walked through the much smaller guild than he remembered, his eyes frantically searched for two heads of blonde hair, but he couldn't seem to find them. He really didn't want to believe that so much time had passed, but by looking at the evidence surrounding him, he couldn't deny it any more. Everyone was showing the group what they'd missed in those seven years, catching up as quickly as they could. Bisca and Alzack had a 4 year old daughter, the same age as his when he left. His heart ached as he stared at the little girl, wondering where his own little girl was.

"It's good to have you back, man!" Macao grinned as he clapped Laxus on the back.

Laxus wasn't in the mood for small talk as he turned to the man. "Likewise. Where are Lucy and Lily?"

"Ah." Macao retracted his hand and crossed arms. "They're actually on a mission right now.'

"Both of them?" Laxus asked, surprise evident in his voice. Lucy never seemed comfortable with the idea of taking Lily on a job. Though, she was older now, he had to remind himself.

"Yeah, you got some strong girls on your hands." Macao chuckled. "Either one of them could take me out in an instant."

Pride swelled in Laxus' chest at his words, and he had no doubt that it was true. However, he needed to see them and he couldn't wait. "Where are they?"

"Star dress mix! Aquarius and Scorpio!" A bright light surrounded Lucy, revealing her in a bikini and armor and a large tail when the light dispersed. "Sand and water dual element magic! Aqua stream!" The power that burst forth was immense, a colossal wave of water and sand colliding to create a powerful force of thick mud.

The monster in front of her roared in agony as the giant wave hit, flapping its massive wings as it tried to stay grounded from the blast. The force of the wave was too strong, and the creature fell as it was pushed back through several trees.

Lucy's magic dispersed and she clutched onto her knees as she panted heavily. It wasn't over yet though. "Lily! Now!"

As the giant creature moved to get up, something fell from the sky, well more like a person. "Water spark!" Lily shouted as she descended from above. A large circle of water shot out from Lily's hands, sparks of red lightning dancing around it. The creature let out a roar, but it was cut off when the water collided with its head. Lily smirked as the creature squealed in pain, her long, blonde hair flowing behind her as she continued to fall through the air. Before she got too close to the monster, Silus swooped down and caught her, flying off to the side. Before they landed, Silus transformed into a tiger, white stripes adorning his yellow fur. He caught Lily on his back before he landed gracefully, giving a roar back to the monster.

Laxus dropped to his knees at what he was seeing. He was on top of a hill close by, his jaw on the floor as he watched the two. He had been elated when he found them, but then he realized they were actually taking on a wyvern and his blood ran cold. It wasn't quite a dragon and not nearly as strong, but it was still a dangerous creature and he didn't particularly like seeing it after his recent dragon encounter. However, the magical pressure radiating off them both... it could rival Gildarts, it was insane. He didn't quite understand their magic... both of their powers had drastically changed and they were both...older. His daughter was much taller, her hair much longer, and her face was becoming distinguished and it was so beautiful. And she had an exceed! He knew she wasn't a dragon slayer, so that was definitely curious to him. A tear slid down his cheek, his chest burning as he realized he really had missed out on most of her childhood. She was no longer a little girl and his heart broke. Lucy... she was powerful, defined, and graceful as she moved with purpose. It was breathtaking. Her hair was very long, pulled into pigtails behind her. Her body was so... mouthwatering. He couldn't deny the way his pants tightened just by looking at her, but his concern for them outweighed his dirty thoughts in that moment.

Lucy jumped in the air and transformed into her cancer form, two swords tightly gripped in her hands. "Shit!" His pupils turned to slits when the wyvern caught Lucy in its mouth as she twirled in mid air, cutting off her attack. Her scream hurt his ears when a sickening pop echoed over the hill. She gritted her teeth and stabbed her swords into its nose, causing it to fling her to the side with a roar. Veins popped out of his forehead and he snarled as she hit a tree, he couldn't sit here anymore. He called upon his magic and teleported over to the beast

"Mama!" Lily yelled and Silus sprinted towards her with the girl on his back. He had almost reached her when a blinding light suddenly appeared behind them. They had to shield their eyes at the intensity, Silus turning his head away, closing his eyes.

"Lightning dragon's heavenly halberd!" The wyvern shrieked in agony at the force of the spell, its skin sizzling.

Lucy and Lily dropped their arms when the light died down, both gasping for air as the wyvern dropped, its head landing close to them with its eyes whited out. Silus growled as a figure stepped out from behind the unconscious creature, the dust from the creature's defeat concealing the figure's identity. Lucy panted heavily as she tried to block out the pain, her heart palpitating as she squinted her eyes to try and see the newcomer. She didn't think they were here to harm them since they took out the wyvern, but one can't be too careful.

With every step, Laxus' heartbeat pounded in his ears. He was nervous to approach them now that the threat was gone. He never got nervous, but they were so different now. He couldn't predict how they would react.

Lily was frozen as she sat on top of her loyal partner. Lightning magic... it felt so familiar to her, but it couldn't be possible, he was dead. Her heart pounded as the wind slowly carried the dust away from them. Her eyes flew open wide when she saw just who it was, her breathing stopping completely as a tingle ran up her body. It was... he was... was this real?

Silus growled in warning as the man with blonde hair stepped closer to them, but he stopped when Lily placed her hand on his head, only twitching his ears slightly in annoyance. Lily kept her eyes trained on the man as she slowly slid off her partner. She slowly walked towards him as she studied him, he looked exactly the same as she remembered. "Dad?" She whispered to herself as tears built in her eyes.

"Hey, squirt." Laxus grinned once he got closer to her.

Lily shook her head in disbelief as his words hit a chord within her. She gritted her teeth as her tears spilled over, breaking out into a run as cried, "dad!"

Laxus's face morphed into shock at what she called him. He stood frozen as the girl ran towards him. He grunted when she collided with his chest and his arms instantly wrapped around her. He supposed he couldn't be too surprised that she'd found out about him after seven years, but hearing those words come out of her... he hadn't been prepared.

"I cant believe you're here!" Lily cried into his chest. "I thought you were dead!"

Tears burned in Laxus' eyes and he tightened his arms around her, his throat constricting. "I'm sorry, squirt."

Suddenly, she wrenched herself away from him, pushing against his chest harshly. "You're an asshole!"

Laxus' lips parted in surprise, his heart dropping at her words. Though, he couldn't really argue with her on that one.

"Lily!" Lucy cried, interrupting their reunion. She didn't trust it, he looked exactly the same as he did the day he left, it was suspicious and she didn't want her daughter near him if he was an impostor. She had her own ways of copying people, who knows who else did too.

Lily gasped, having forgotten about her mom for a moment. Her eyes widened when she saw the way her mother's leg was bent, and she was about to run towards her, but Silus transformed back into a cat and flew her over to her immediately. Silus couldn't believe what he had heard. Lily always talked to him about what she remembered of her dad, but him suddenly showing up out of nowhere was a little unsettling.

"Shit." Laxus softly cursed when he looked over at Lucy and saw her leg. He couldn't believe he forgot she was hurt, he had been too shocked by his daughter. He starting running towards her as soon as the yellow cat had picked his daughter up.

"Mom!" Lily cried as she landed next to her, her eyebrows creased with worry.

"Don't worry, I'll be fine." Her mother quickly reassured her before she touched her keys. "Loke!"

Laxus slid to a halt when the lion spirit suddenly appeared in front of him, his fists raised and ready to attack. "Loke? What the hell?" The leader of the zodiacs didn't say anything, he just glared hard at the man, feeling his master's suspicion of him through their connection.

Lucy called on Gemini immediately, the spirit popping out and turning into Laxus. Laxus' eyes bugged out of his head when he looked back at himself. "What the fuck?"

"Laxus Dreyar." Gemini-Laxus began. "Second generation dragon slayer, S-Class mage of Fairy Tail. Lucy Heartfilia as seen by Laxus: a beautiful woman who he wants in his future." Lucy felt a tear drop down her cheek. He was real... he was really here. "Regretfully wishes he had raised their child with her."

Lily whipped her head to stare at her dad in shock. He really wanted to be there... her heart felt constricted, like someone was squeezing it.

"Thanks Gemini." Lucy whispered stiffly. "Now can you.." they transformed into Wendy and crouched down to try and heal her leg. "Yeah..." She didn't need to finish that sentence, her spirits always knew what she needed. She let her head fall back against the tree trunk she was leaning against, dizziness washing over her as she threatened to pass out.

Loke dropped his defensive stance after hearing Gemini's information and pushed up his glasses. "Sorry about that, I'm glad to see you're okay, Laxus."

Laxus moved his eyes from Lucy to the lion spirit. "It's fine."

"Are you all back?" Loke asked. Laxus nodded at him and crossed him arms. "Well then, I think I'll head to the guild to get the full story. Take care of them."

"Of course." Laxus grunted as the spirit disappeared. He wasted no time and ran up to them, crouching down beside Lily and next to Lucy's upper half. Silus crossed his arms and wedged himself between Lily and the man, keeping his eyes on him. "Is she gonna be okay?" He asked Gemini-Wendy.

"The princess will be fine." Gemini-Wendy smiled. "Although very, very sore. Piri."

Lucy's head rolled to look at the man beside her, her hand coming up to rest against his cheek. "It's really you."

His heartbeat picked up as he stared into her glazed eyes. He rested his hand over hers as his lips turned up slightly. "Yeah blondie, I'm here." A pink hue dusted over her cheeks as she looked deeply into his eyes, his voice washing over her like a blanket of comfort.

Lily and Silus looked back and forth between the two. An odd feeling bloomed in the little girl's chest. It was obvious that they had a connection, but... she wasn't sure how to feel seeing them like that.

"Get a room." Silus grumbled as he glared at them.

Lucy smiled at the cat and dropped her hand as her spirit's magic soothed her pain. Laxus turned to the little yellow exceed. "Who are you?"

Lily glared at the man, but Silus didn't seem affected. "I'm Silus, Lily's partner and friend."

Laxus suddenly smiled and stuck his hand out towards the cat. "It's nice to meet you. Thank you for looking after my daughter."

Lily looked away while Silus shook her dad's hand. She had built up so much spite for this man over the years, but he was breaking it down with every word he spoke, and she wasn't sure she liked it.

"Thank you, Gemini." Lucy breathed in relief when the spirit finished. Its wasn't fully healed, but the pain was tolerable now.

"Call on us again! Piri Piri!" The spirit vanished with a poof.

"C'mon." Laxus held his hand out towards Lucy. "Let's go home." And fuck if he wasn't ready for a beer.

She began to place her hand in his, but stopped. "Wait. I need a favor."

Laxus scrunched his eyebrows. "Sure."

She smirked and put one of her swords in his hand. "Can you cut off that wyvern's head for me?"

"What?" He looked at her in shock, but she just smiled innocently up at him. Lily and Silus snickered at the look on his face.
