Chapter 20: Confessions

Knowing that he had more attention with everyone there and that he couldn't just kill the boy without any repercussions, Killian tried to calmly talk with Britney. "Princess, your brothers are just trying to look out for you. Henry is right you can't go running off with some guy? And you bloody hell can't stay in a hotel with him?" Britney wasn't really prepared to out her relationship to everyone and didn't really know what to say because she was guilty. Realizing that Britney's family knew nothing about him, Claudia couldn't stay quiet and let her son take all the blame, "While I agree with that sentiment about running off with strangers and getting into trouble, Justin isn't a stranger. Mind you they don't seem to have the most conventional relationship. I mean she sort of just shows up every other week or so to spend time with him and then just disappears, but he's been her boyfriend for years."

Stepping forward again towards her family, even though he thought he should stay quiet and leave it alone, Justin had to explain himself, "I know you may not know me and most likely don't really like me but I love your daughter and want to explain…" Justin waits a moment because her family is processing the information at the same time. "Boyfriend, What do you mean boyfriend?" "She's too young to date." "years?" "You got that right." "Love?" But when Emma says, "We get how relationships start? What we need to understand is how this one works?" looking at Britney, she knows she can't just stay quiet, "I sort of ended up in Orlando, Florida a few years back but didn't know how to get home and I met Justin and these other kids that shared the same artistic and musical interest. We all became friends and I felt like I belonged so I went back every week for about two years. During my trips I found that my friendship with Justin became something more and we felt differently about each other than we did the other kids so we started dating but when everyone moved away I was devastated."

Liam remembered this, "That's when we went to Disney World." Sighing Henry agreed, "Yeah but it didn't cheer her up she just cried or stayed silent looking all said and mope-y." Continuing her story, "Yeah, not long after that Mom taught us ways how to find people. And I know it was meant to be for finding our family, but I used that knowledge to find my friends not realizing that I didn't really fit into their lives anymore. The only one that stayed constant was Justin, so I would sort of take off to go see him for a few hours or days every now and then." Continuing where she left off, Justin explained, "That's what this trip to Port Charles was. We were just hanging out when we ended up here. My family used to live here so Britney thought we should check out the city but we don't know much about Port Charles. It's probably why we were unable to help them" indicating extended Charming family, "leave on their ship. And with my family's history here we really didn't know where was safe to stay after she" pointing directly at Milah, "threw Britney into the freezing harbor for no reason so we used my dad's business card to crash at the hotel and I slept on the couch."

While Emma sighed with relief, Killian went off on Milah. Neal Sr. started to defend her but realized that he had no room to talk. His father was Rumplestiltskin, the Dark One and had done many horrible things and his mother, Milah was no better. When Emma tried unsuccessfully to calm Killian down, David Charming stepped up trying to explain, "While Milah may have been villainous, 2 wrongs don't make a right and heroes don't…" but was cut off by Jason, "Villainous?" and Nikolas, "Heroes?" Carly laughs, "Heroes? He's freakin' Captain Hook. He is the villain." Snow beats Emma to the punch, "Yeah. He's Captain Hook but he's not a Villain. Even if someone does something bad doesn't mean they're a bad person." Regina questions this but Snow continues, "Sure. You're the evil Queen but you changed your ways and became a wonderful mother for the boys and me. You helped reunite my family even though Emma's Henry's mother and you lose part of him. Just like Hook was a pirate and sought revenge on Rumplestiltskin because he killed Milah."

Killian agreed, "Yeah. I just thought that I loved Milah and didn't account for the fact that Rumple had loved her first and that I was in fact breaking up his family. My family fell apart so I didn't think anything of it when Milah wanted to get away and be with me. I may have loved Milah and done some horrible things in the name of revenge because I never thought I would love again, but then I met Emma and realized I was all wrong and it's really never that simple. I hurt Neal and Rumple when I left with Milah just like we unintentionally hurt all of you when Emma, Henry and I left. We didn't expect for things to happen the way they did, but I can't regret it. I would do it all again because Emma means the world to me and I would do anything for her. I knew that then and I know it now. Only now she isn't the only person in my heart. Henry, Britney, Liam, David and James are my world and if anyone threatens that world I will do anything in my power to correct the problem, even if it means I'm the villain again."

Sonny is the one that first comments on this, "Doing anything and everything for your family does not make you the villain. Family means everything so when its threatened a father is meant to take action. That's part of being a parent. Regardless of where you're from." Dante sarcastically commented, "Where they're from? They're insane. It's Captain Hook from Peter Pan, Rumblestiltskin, and Snow White and the Evil Queen. Where are your dwarves?" Emma chuckled, "They're probably in Storybrooke with the blue fairy. And you forgot, Prince Charming for Snow White. Belle as in Beauty and the Beast since Rumple is the beast and the crocodile. Robin Hood with his Merry Men, and Elsa you know the frozen snow queen and her sister Anna." Now all of the Port Charles residents, new and old, were looking at them like they were crazy, so Carly had to say something, "Emma, are you sure you are alright? Everyone is talking nonsense." Naturally those from Port Charles didn't believe her when she insisted that it was true. So Emma just figured it was best to let them believe what they wanted. Britney however couldn't leave it alone and vanished.
