Chapter 21-Finding out what happened
Billy sits for a moment before he stands up. "Come on, we have to get back to camp," Billy says before he turns around and starts to walk back to camp. Billy Jasper Raven Emma Murphy and Bellamy walk back into camp. Billy leaves the others and heads towards the radio tent. Billy walks into the tent and grabs the radio.
"Is anyone there?" Billy asks.
"I'm here. What's up, Billy?" Sinclair asks.
"Where is Jaha?" Billy asks as Raven Wells Murphy and Clarke walk into the tent.
"They're in a council meeting. What's left of the council," Sinclair says.
"What do you mean by what's left of the council?" Raven asks.
"A bomb went off during the Unity day celebration. I'll patch you in," Sinclair says. The video changes and shows Abby Jake Jaha Kane and Callie talking.
"Billy," Jaha says.
"I thought Abby and Kane were on the exodus ship. What happened to the exodus ship?" Raven asks.
"Ex-chancellor Diana Syndey and her followers took the exodus ship. If they would have launched while still attached, we would have most likely died. Jake unattached them and lanched them. We're all ok," Kane says.
"Good choice. There is some bad news, though," Billy says.
"What bad news?" Callie asks.
"The exodus ship's parachutes didn't come out, and the ship crashed into the ground. I don't think anybody survived," Billy tells them.
"Are you sure?" Jaha asks.
"Big mushroom cloud fire and an explosion. Yeah, I'm pretty sure," Billy tells them.
"We sentenced them to death," Abby says.
"There was nothing else you could have done. You make the best decision in a situation with no good ones. I'm sorry for the people that died family, but those lives were not worth more than the two thousand people on the ark. You made the right choice," Billy tells them.
"Thank you, Billy," Jaha says.
"Your welcome anyway tomorrow were going to head to the crash site anything that could tell us what happened," Billy tells them.
"Like what?" Abby asks. Billy looks at Raven.
"The black box or the hard drives if we can find those we can find out what happened," Raven tells them they nod.
"What about plans for the people and earth?" Wells asks his father.
"We are finishing up a few details. Once we're prepared, we'll tell you," Jaha tells them.
"Ok, We got things to do. We'll talk later, stay safe," Billy tells them. They nod as they shut off the radio.
"Now what?" Clarke asks.
"Go, rest. I'm about to go give Bellamy an ear full and after him you," Billy says to Clarke before he leaves.
"Why me?" Clarke asks.
"Because you told Bellamy," Wells says.
"I was trying to help," Clarke defends her self.
"So was Bellamy and Jasper," Murphy says before he leaves. Billy walks into Bellamy's tent to see the man with his head in his hand and his head down. Bellamy looks up at him.
"Have you come to yell at me again?" Bellamy asks. Billy sits down.
"I'm gonna try my best not to yell at you," Billy says. "I understand why you followed us. You wanted to make sure it wasn't a trap you wanted to protect us. I was so close to a deal with Anya," Billy tells him.
"They were going to kill you," Bellamy says.
"You don't know that. Jasper fired the first shot, and on to my next topic, you brought Jasper. Jasper, he is terrified of grounders. He was the worst person to bring you could have brought Wells Monty Harper Westley Octavia and Athena, but you brought Jasper. What were you thinking?" Billy asks Bellamy, who looks up at him.
"I saw Jasper, and I didn't think," Bellamy says.
"Exactly you didn't think. Bellamy, all I need was for you to trust me. You're not allowed to touch a gun inside camp unless I say so," Billy says to Bellamy. Bellamy looks ready to argue looks down and nods his head. "Once you're done in here, you're on food duty for the next two days," Billy tells Bellamy, who nods. Billy leaves his tent. He sees Jasper talking to one of the girls. "Jasper come here," Billy says Jasper looks at him for a second before he comes over. "First off, give me your gun," Billy says to Jasper, who hands him the gun. Billy motions Miller over. "Hold on to this," Billy says to Miller, who nods before he leaves. Billy walks into his tent, Jasper follows. Billy sits down, so does Jasper.
"What were you thinking, Jasper. You are terrified of the grounders," Billy says to the teen.
"I just wanted to help," Jasper says.
"I know you did, but Jasper shooting that grounder just killed more people. You made things worst. You not allowed to touch any guns until I say otherwise and your on food duty with Bellamy for two days," Billy says to Jasper, who nods.
Wells was watching Clarke sit with her head down. "I'll be back," He tells Harper and Charlotte, who nodded. He walks over to Clarke and sits down beside her. "I'm an idiot," Clarke says.
"That is true," Wells says. Clarke laughs.
"Why did I tell Bellamy?" Clarke asks.
"Because you trust Bellamy, and you didn't think he would screw it up, but he did, and now you feel stupid," Wells says. Clarke nods. "I trust Bellamy to Clarke just not with things that involve grounders," Wells tells his friend. "You can't change what you did now. You figure out a way to fix your mistake," Wells says to Clarke, who nods.
Emma was sharping her knife when Octavia sat by her. "How's the grounder in bed?" Octavia asks her. Emma looks at her.
"I don't know what your talking about," Emma says.
"So you're just sneaking off to play in the woods," Octavia says to the other girl who blushes.
"I'm not talking to you about my sex life," Emma says to Octavia.
"Fine. Is he teaching you how to fight?" Emma asks.
"Yeah," Emma tells her.
"Could you teach me?" Octavia asks.
"I can teach you what I know," Emma tells Octavia, who nods and smiles. Billy walks over to Wells.
"I saw you were talking to Clarke," Billy says to his friend.
"She knows she made a mistake," Wells says. Billy nods before he walks over to her.
"You're on food duty with Bellamy and Jasper," Billy says before he walks over to his friends.
"Now what," Charlotte asks.
"Tomorrow, a few of us will head to the crash site and see if we can find anything," Billy tells her. She nods. They all head to bet a few hours later.
