Katsuki had changed into his hero costume. He hadn't brought his gauntlets, he hadn't seen the point, it wasn't as though he was going to need them. All of the sidekicks went into the training room, Flashback, Transcript and Spectre stood together at one side of the room, whilst Katsuki joined Fallacy and Sleuth on the other.
Katsuki felt a little out of place next to the two women, both of their costumes were full of bright colours. Sleuth's was full of greens, greys and blacks, she wore her forest green cape and held her quarterstaff in her hand. Fallacy wore a body suit of white, pastel pink and green. Katsuki's own costume was dark in comparison, the little flashes of orange being the only bright thing about him.
But in reality, the other side was looking similar. Like Katsuki, Flashback stood in the centre, all in black. He was flanked by the green and golden feathers of Spectre and the bubble-gum pink hair and purple costume of Transcript.
"Okay so, Bakugou, you're our only offensive fighter, both Fal and I are more support based. Of course, all of us can fight hand to hand, but our Quirks can't do much." Sleuth said. "They'll most likely send Specs after you, so be careful, his talons and beak are sharp."
"Okay." Katsuki nodded.
"Like us Flash and Transcript's Quirks can't do much here, so we'll take them on." Sleuth said.
"Shiori, Script's right knee is hurting him, he's pulled a muscle or something." Fallacy said quietly, her dark brown eyes fixed on Transcript. Sleuth nodded, she adjusted her glasses before blinking, her grey eyes going black as she activated her Quirk.
"Hey Script." She called.
"What?" the other replied.
"Your leg's hurting you quite a bit, right?"
"Don't listen to her, Ren." Flashback said to his partner.
"You should probably lie down, rest it for a bit. You don't want to make it worse."
"She's right," Transcript turned to his team members. "I should lie down."
"It's a pulled muscle, you'll be fine." Spectre said.
"A pulled muscle can get so much worse." Sleuth replied.
"Jeanist, she's cheating." Flashback growled.
"I don't really know if she is." Hakamata said from where he was leaning against the wall with Hawks. "What are you waiting for? Aren't you supposed to be fighting?"
At Hakamata's words Spectre jumped in the air. He opened his tan and gold wings to glide across the training room. He launched himself towards Katsuki's, his talons outstretched. Sleuth pushed Katsuki out of the way. He stumbled to the floor, but he rolled with it and was quickly back on his feet.
Spectre skidded across the wooden floor and Katsuki fired a small explosion after him, singeing the green and blue tail feathers of the sidekick. Spectre hissed and spun around to face Katsuki.
"Don't look at his false eyes." Fallacy called to him as she kicked Transcript in his injured leg, making him yell out in pain. Katsuki nodded, making sure to avoid looking at Spectre's tail.
"Fuck you Fal." Spectre growled, his feathers twitching.
"You wish, birdbrain." Fallacy laughed and Spectre's growl deepened.
Katsuki used his momentary distraction to fire off another explosion, directed towards Spectre's face. The peacock hero squawked and jumped back. He turned to face Katsuki.
"Don't underestimate me." Katsuki said, with a smirk. He used a stun grenade explosion to temporarily blind Spectre. The sidekick brought up a wing to shield his eyes and Katsuki used this to his advantage.
He kicked Spectre's legs out from under him, causing him to fall backwards. Spectre dug his talons into Katsuki's thigh, making the younger boy shout out in pain as they cut through his trousers and sliced through his flesh.
Katsuki grabbed Spectre's ankle, using a small explosion to get the peacock to pull away. Spectre gasped, rolling away from Katsuki. His flesh was red, blisters bubbling to the surface of his kin as it burned. The bird hero tried to get to his feet but he was unable to put his weight on his injured ankle. Katsuki took a step forwards but Spectre put his wings up.
"I yield. You win." Spectre panted. "I can't fight like this." Katsuki nodded, pressing his palm against his cuts.
"Fuck." He muttered as he pulled his gloved hand away and saw blood tainting the orange.
"Okay, okay. Stop before you kill each other." Jeanist shouted across the training room. Katsuki looked up to see that Flashback had Sleuth in a headlock, her glasses crocked and her face turning purple. Fallacy, on the other hand, had Transcript pinned on the floor.
Flashback let Sleuth go and Fallacy helped Transcript up.
"Hah, I didn't tap." Sleuth gasped for breath.
"I wouldn't be so proud of that if I was you." Flashback said.
"Is anyone hurt?" Jeanist asked.
"Specs and Bakugou." Fallacy said, pushing her baby blue hair out of her face. "Burns and bleeding, respectively."
"Are you guys okay?" Jeanist asked.
"I can deal with this, but I think someone should check Bakugou, I got him pretty good."
"I'm fine, you stupid bird." Katsuki snapped.
"Hey, respect the birds." Hawks said with a smirk on his face. Katsuki scowled.
"The rest of you get back to work." Jeanist said. "Katsuki, let me look." Katsuki rolled his eyes as the other sidekicks filtered out of the training room. Transcript helped Spectre limp out and Fallacy offered to her hand out to Katsuki.
"I'm fine." Katsuki said.
"I'm literally the one person you can't lie about that to." Fallacy said.
"Whatever." Katsuki shrugged.
"Kameko, go on, I've got him." Jeanist said.
"Fine. But don't listen to him, the cuts are deep. I think he'll need stitches." Fallacy said, moving towards the door.
"Sit down, Katsuki." Hakamata said.
"On the floor?"
"No, on the imaginary stool." Hakamata rolled his eyes. "Yes on the floor." Katsuki groaned as he sat, he stretched out his injured leg. Hakamata sat neck to him, on his left. He gently pressed down against the wounds, making Katsuki wince as blood oozed up between the fabric.
"They are deep." He mumbled to himself, before turning to Hawks who was stood somewhat awkwardly behind him. "Can you get me the first aid kit? It's just by the door." Hawks nodded, but he didn't move, instead several feathers sprung free from his wings. They did as Jeanist asked, Katsuki's eyes followed the crimson feathers as they carried the first aid kit close to him.
"Thanks." Jeanist said, opening the box.
"Is there anything I can do?" Hawks asked.
"No, no it's fine." Hakamata said. "You're luckily Specs was wearing covers on his talons, or this would have been much worse."
"Yeah." Katsuki said quietly.
"How do you feel? Any light-headedness?" Hawks asked, coming to sit next to the two of them.
"No. It just stings." Katsuki shrugged.
"It's going to hurt worse in a minute." Jeanist said.
"Jeez, try not to sound excited about it." Katsuki rolled his eyes. Jeanist pulled out a pair of scissors from the first aid kit and cut through Katsuki's trousers. "Hey, that's my hero costume, you dick."
"I'll make you a new pair, a better pair. They're not very good if they can't stop sharp things."
"They were meant to deal with my sweat, not birds." Katsuki scowled.
"Stop with the bird hate, man." Hawks pouted.
"Whatever, you overgrown chicken." Katsuki said, before turning back to Hakamata. "You can't make changes to my costume, it's against the rules or something."
"I'm licenced to make costumes, don't worry. I can even call Nezu and double check if you want."
"No, it's fine, if you're licenced or whatever." Katsuki said as Hakamata pulled out a bottle of antiseptic spray and cotton pads.
"Of course I am. I make modifications to my sidekicks costumes all of the time. I made my own. It's literally my forte. I can make you some trousers that can be protective and cope with your sweat and explosions."
"As long as it's not jeans." Katsuki said, flinching as Jeanist began to clean out the four deep cuts on his leg.
"No, not jeans." Hakamata laughed. "Not this time."
"Thank god." Katsuki said.
"You made him wear jeans?" Hawks asked.
"Yeah. I make all interns wear jeans. I can grab them and move them out of the way a lot easier if they're wearing denim. I don't have the think about what fabric I need to manipulate if they're all wearing denim. It was nothing personal."
"I felt so restricted." Katsuki grumbled. Hakamata snorted.
After he had cleaned Katsuki's wounds Hakamata took out a roll of surgical suture and a new needle. He threaded the needle and got out a tube of numbing cream.
"This is gonna do fuck all to stop the pain." Hakamata said. "But if might numb it afterwards."
"I was tied to a chair for three days by the League of Villains, being cut and burnt by a group of psychopaths. I can handle it." Katsuki said.
"I was just warning you." Hakamata said.
"Do you want another example?" Katsuki asked.
"Okay fine, you're not allowed to make a sound whilst I do this."
"What did you expect me to do, cry?"
Hakamata rolled his eyes and without any more hesitation he began to sew the wounds shut. Katsuki hissed at the first stab, inwardly hating himself for making a sound. Hawks' lips twitched in the ghost of a smile and Katsuki scowled.
Jeanist was quick and efficient with the sutures, making sure he didn't put Katsuki through any more pain than necessary. After he had sewed each of the four wounds shut, he dressed them in large plasters.
"Take these so you can redress them and visit Recovery Girl when you can, she can take the stiches out."
"Okay." Katsuki nodded.
"Ahh I forgot U.A. had her." Hawks said. "Must be nice. Whenever I used to get hurt in training I just had to suffer." He laughed.
"That's why U.A. is the best." Katsuki said.
"Katsuki, I've got some painkillers in my office that I'd like you to take. They'll help with whatever swelling might occur." Hakamata said.
"Okay, I'll take them after I've changed." Katsuki said with a sigh, picking at the fabric of his trousers.
"Leave your costume here. I'll fix the trousers and get the blood out of the gloves."
"Thanks."
"Are you good at getting blood out?" Hawks asked. "Because I have this really nice jacket that's got some on and I don't know what to do."
"You know laundrettes exist, right?" Hakamata asked. "Bring it round, I'll see what I can do."
After a short while Katsuki forced himself to his feet and headed back into the Genius changing room. He took a quick shower, rinsing off the sweat and blood, using the supplied products and towels. He got dressed meticulously, being careful with his trousers over the top of his injury. He made sure his collar was straight and his shirt was tucked in. He loosely tied the neckerchief around his neck, similarly to the way Jeanist had done it earlier.
He tucked it in, so it was not all that visible, and he adjusted his damp hair so it would hopefully dry in some sort of respectable style. After checking himself in the mirror for the seventh time he sighed and left.
Surprisingly, the office was quiet and almost abandoned. Only Spectre remained, working on his computer. Katsuki looked around for anyone else but it seemed like no one else was present. He headed over to his own desk.
"Where is everyone?" Katsuki asked.
"Transcript and Fallacy have gone home. Everyone else is downstairs harassing your boyfriend." Spectre said.
"Oh for fucks sake." Katsuki whined.
"I'm sorry about your leg." Spectre said.
"It's fine. I'm sorry about your leg."
"It's fine." Spectre laughed.
Katsuki sighed again. Upon his desk the was a packet of painkillers and a glass of water, with a little sticky note saying "Take two now. Take the pills home. I've got more." In Hakamata's neat handwriting. Katsuki did as the note said, slipping the packet in his bag.
He left his hero costume by his desk and moved to leave the office. He slung his bag over his shoulder.
"Bye Spectre."
"Goodbye Bakugou, I'll see you next week." Spectre said.
Katsuki made his way down the stairs, he was scared for Kirishima's sake. He knew first-hand that they were a bit much, even for someone as socially adept as Kirishima. He hurried into the reception and was greeted to the sight of Kirishima being surrounded by Jeanist, Hawks, Flashback, Sleuth, Ezume and Thimble. Zipper, Needle and Buttons hung back, leaning against Thimble's desk.
"I think your boyfriend needs rescuing." Zipper said.
"Yeah I can see that." Katsuki grumbled. "Alright fuckers, back off." He shouted. Kirishima turned to see Katsuki, his face breaking out into a smile.
"Hey Babe."
"Babe? That's fucking hilarious." Sleuth burst out laughing. "I'm gonna start calling you that."
"You do and I'll break your fucking legs." Katsuki growled
"Please do." Flashback said.
"Come on now, you've all met Kirishima, you should all get back to work." Jeanist sighed, ushering people away.
"I can't believe I met another future pro hero." Ezume said excitedly as he walked back towards the stairs.
"He's cute." Thimble mock whispered as he walked past.
"I told you." Katsuki said, seeing Kirishima blush in the corner of his eyes.
"See you next week Bakugou." Flashback said, placing his hand on Katsuki's shoulder as he walked by. Sleuth waved at him but said nothing.
"I like the red, it's very bold." Hawks said to Kirishima, picking up a strand of his hair that was hanging in his face. He was wearing a ponytail again making Katsuki smirk.
"Erm, yeah. It's my favourite colour."
"Nice, strong choice." Hawks said as his wings stretched out behind him. Kirishima laughed, Katsuki could tell he was somewhat uncomfortable.
"Did you take the painkillers?" Hakamata asked. Katsuki idly patted his bag.
"Yeah, thanks." Katsuki said. "I'll go to Recovery Girl tomorrow morning."
"Okay, off you go then. Enjoy your evening." Hakamata placed his hands on Hawks shoulders, gently directing him back towards the stairs. "I'll drop your costume off at U.A. in the morning."
"Okay." Katsuki said. "Thank you."
"Look after yourself."
"Yeah bye Bakugou, Kirishima." Hawks called back.
Katsuki rolled his eyes and grabbed Kirishima's hand. He led the other boy outside and the two of them began to walk towards the train station.
"Painkillers? You're hurt?" Kirishima asked.
"It's just a cut. We were training." Katsuki said. "I'm fine, Jeanist patched me up, there's nothing to worry about."
"If you're sure. Where is it?"
"My thigh. It doesn't hurt too bad and the meds will kick in soon." Katsuki said.
"Are you okay walking?"
"Eijirou, I'm fine, stop worrying." Katsuki said, squeezing his hand.
"Okay." Kirishima said.
"How was your day?" Katsuki said.
"It was fine. I hung out with Shouto before he left, and then Midoriya before he left. Then Kaminari, Sero and I did our homework and I left to come here."
"Sounds fun." Katsuki said dryly.
"Better then getting hurt." Kirishima retorted.
"Fuck off."
"Nah."
Katsuki let Kirishima guide him through the train station, relying on his boyfriend to know which train they needed to take. It didn't take too long for them to be on one to the Chiba Prefecture. The two of them sat together, Katsuki next to the window.
Katsuki rested his head on Eijirou's shoulder and slowly drifted off to sleep. Kirishima just smiled to himself and continued to hold on to Katsuki's hand. He played on his phone throughout the journey before having to wake Katsuki up before they reached their stop.
"Kats, Baby. You need to wake up." Eijirou said softly, running his thumb over his boyfriend's knuckles. Katsuki stirred, groaning against Kirishima's shoulder. Eijirou laughed.
"Sorry." Katsuki mumbled. "I didn't mean to sleep."
"It's okay. It could have been the painkillers or something." Kirishima said, kissing Katsuki's forehead.
"Maybe. Are we there?"
"Next stop, and then it's like a five-minute walk."
"Okay." Katsuki said, yawning.
"You're so cute when you're sleepy."
"No I'm not." Katsuki said with a scowl. "I'm intimidating."
The two of them got off of the train at the next stop, hands still joined. Katsuki ran his free hand through his hair and straightened up his appearance.
"You look beautiful. Don't worry about anything." Kirishima said.
"I'm not worried. I just want to make a good impression."
"They'll love you."
"I have the Sports Festival and Kamino working against me." Katsuki said.
"Yeah but you also have me talking their ears off about you for months working for you." Kirishima laughed. "I promise you it'll be fine. I wouldn't have invited you round if I thought they were going to not like you or something."
"I guess." Katsuki said. Kirishima squeezed his hand again before coming to a stop. The action forced Katsuki to stop too, he turned back to face him.
"You don't have to do this if you don't want to. You can go back to the train station and go back to the dorms if you want. I won't be upset or anything." Katsuki stepped closer, he kissed Kirishima. The other boy made a surprised little squeak, causing Katsuki to smile into the kiss before deepening in. Kirishima used his free hand to grab a hold of Katsuki's jumper and pulling him closer.
"I'm staying. I said I would. I guess I'm just a little nervous." Katsuki said, resting his forehead against Eijirou's.
"I get it, But it'll be fine, I promise." He said, joining their lips.
Despite the public setting neither boy seemed to care. But luckily for them there wasn't many people about. The explored each other's mouths languidly, getting lost in the taste of one another. Kirishima eventually broke the kiss, placing his hand on Katsuki's cheek.
"Katsuki, this means so much to me. My family is one of the most important things in my life and it means a lot that you'd come and meet them." Kirishima said.
"You met mine, it's only fair." Katsuki shrugged.
"Yeah but Kats, I think I—"
"Eijirou!" A voice called cutting Kirishima off and making the two boys jump. A tall, large man was coming towards them, waving, his biceps practically rippling. He had jet black hair and keen red eyes; he was smiling.
"Hikaru." Eijirou said back.
"Ma was getting worried. You text her you were almost here and then never showed up. She sent me to come an investigate, make sure you hadn't been murdered." Hikaru said.
"Yeah, no. Not murdered. We were just talking." Eijirou stammered. "Erm, Katsuki, this is my older brother Hikaru. Aniki, this is my boyfriend, Bakugou Katsuki." Hikaru looked Bakugou up and down, cocking his head to the side.
"Didn't think you'd go for a blond." He mumbled. "Thought you were into brunettes."
"I really don't think you can consider the one girl I dated in middle school as a baseline for my perceived "type"." Eijirou replied with a scowl.
"Just making an observation." Hikaru shrugged. "It's nice to meet you, Bakugou."
"And you, I'm sure." Katsuki replied, his eyes narrowing.
"You hurt my brother, and I don't care how powerful you are, I will kill you." Hikaru said casually. "He's worked too hard to be broken again."
"Hikaru!" Eijirou snapped. "Fuck off. I don't need you posturing and trying to be intimidating. You're just being a dick."
"All right, all right. Just doing my job as big brother." Hikaru turned and began to walk back the way he came. "Just looking out for you."
"I don't need your protection." Eijirou shouted after him, before turning to Katsuki. "I'm sorry, I don't know why he's being like that."
"It's fine Ei, I expected some kind of threat like that off of somebody." Katsuki shrugged, taking Kirishima's hand and beginning to follow Hikaru. "My parents did the same with you."
"They said you'd kill me, not one of them."
"Well… I guess." Katsuki said. "But same thing really."
"Sure it is." Kirishima rolled his eyes.
"It's nice that he cares about you though. I know it's not the same, but my cousins and I would rather kill each other than stand up for each other."
"I'm sure they're not that bad."
"One day you will meet Bakugou Kiyoshi, and you will realize how wrong that statement is. He's a bigger dick than me."
"I don't think that's possible." Eijirou laughed and Katsuki scowled, purposely walking into him.
"You're supposed to be on my side." Katsuki pouted.
"I'm always on your side." Eijirou said quietly.
It didn't take long for the pair of them top catch up to Hikaru, despite the fact that Katsuki was limping slightly. The older Kirishima must have been shortening his strides to allow them to get closer.
He led them into a small street of shops. It was relatively quiet, most of the shops having closed for the day. An elderly man, who was in the process of closing his own store, waved at Hikaru and Eijirou as they passed. The boys returned the wave before heading over to another shop.
Kirishima's Convenience, was an average sized shop on the corner of the street. The sign above the door was a faded red with yellow lettering that, in Katsuki's opinion, looked terrible, but he didn't say anything.
The sign on the door read closed, but Hikaru simply pushed it open. Inside there were rows of newspapers and magazines. Refrigerators lined one of the walls, with the last unit being a freezer. There were sections for bread, tea and coffee, hygiene and cleaning products as well as alcohol and tobacco being stored behind the counter. Tins and boxes filled any shelf space left, making the whole store rather cramped and claustrophobic.
"Hey Ma, I found them." Hikaru called out. Katsuki could see a tall, slim, almost sickly looking woman standing behind the counter, counting money from the till. She had long black hair and brown eyes. Upon hearing her eldest behind she looked up. Her face split into a wide smile. She abandoned the money and hurried around the till.
Her movements seemed stiff but her excitement made up for it. As soon as she reached Eijirou she wrapped her arms around him.
"Eijirou, baby, you're home." She said, peppering his face with kisses.
"Ma." Eijirou laughed. "Mama stop it." But she continued to kiss him. "You're embarrassing me." He whined.
"That's my job." His mother smiled, pressing one last kiss to his forehead. "And this must be Bakugou, call me Sayuri, dear. It's so nice to finally meet you."
"You too." Katsuki said, suddenly lost for words.
"Eijirou says you're not big on touch so I'll have to give him your hug." Sayuri said, squeezing her son again.
"Mama, I'm all hugged out."
"No such thing." Sayuri said. "You've got several weeks of hugs to catch up on."
"You've got enough people to hug."
"Well now you're here, the rest of us get a break." Hikaru laughed.
"Where's Papa?" Eijirou asked, accepting defeat in his mother's embrace.
"He's taking the twins to the park for a bit. They were getting restless." Sayuri said.
"And Isao?"
"In your room, doing homework." She said. "Or he should be."
"What else would he be doing, Ma? You've already banned him from the computer and taken his phone off of him." Hikaru laughed. "He's so grounded."
"What did he do?"
"He was smoking Eijirou. Smoking." Sayuri said, shaking her head and letting her son go. "When he's older, in his own house, he can do what he wants, but under my roof, no. He's ten, ten! He shouldn't be smoking." Sayuri returned behind the counter and began to put away the money.
"How'd he even get cigarettes? Not from the shop?" Eijirou asked.
"No. He'd be in a lot more trouble if he had." Sayuri shook her head again.
"It was just the one, some of the "cool kids" gave him one." Hikaru said. "He only tried it. Ma scared the shit out of him so I don't think he'd do it again."
"Damn." Eijirou sighed,
"Eijirou, don't be rude. Go take Bakugou upstairs and show him where he can put his things." Sayuri said.
"Oh, yeah, sorry Ma, Kats." Kirishima turned to smile sheepishly at his boyfriend.
"It's okay Eiji." Katsuki said. Eijirou reached out, taking Katsuki's hand and pulling him throughout the shop.
"Hikaru, help me out a second." Sayuri called as Hikaru moved to follow them.
"Okay." He said to his mother before adding. "You two get the futon, more space that way."
"Okay, thanks." Eijirou nodded.
The two of them weaved throughout the shop until they reached a black door with a "staff only" sign and a number pad on it. Eijirou typed it a four digit into it and there was a loud click as the lock opened. Eijirou pulled it open to reveal a staircase.
Katsuki followed Eijirou up the step staircase until they reached another door, which was unlocked. They went inside a large room, which appeared to be a kitchen, dining room and living room all crammed into one.
There was a small, old tv and worn sofas. A bookcase and a desk with a computer and crayon marks on it. All of the appliances in the kitchen seemed to be at least a decade old and the table and chairs had chunks missing like they had been repeatedly hit by rocks. There were children's toys scattered around the room, as if they had been abandoned mid game.
"Sorry about it, I know it's small." Eijirou said, scratching the back of his neck.
"When have I ever cared about shit like that?" Katsuki said. "It's your home." Katsuki kissed Eijirou's cheek.
"Yeah, it is. Lived here all my life." Kirishima said. "Come on, I'll show you my room."
Eijirou walked off towards one of three doors. It was already open and Katsuki could see the blue walls inside. There was barely any space inside the room. There was a bunk bed, two wardrobes, two sets of drawers and a cupboard containing the futon.
On the top bunk sat a young boy, doing his homework. He had black hair and brown eyes like his mother. He looked at the door upon hearing people enter.
"Eijirou, you're back." He cheered.
"Yeah." Eijirou said with a smile. "Kirishima Isao, Bakugou Katsuki."
"Hi." Isao waved.
"Hey kid." Katsuki said simply.
"I saw you at the Sports Festival. Your Quirk is so cool. I wish I had something like that. I can just control pebbles."
"I'm sure you can do stuff with that." Katsuki shrugged.
"Yeah man, your Quirk is pretty cool, Izzy." Eijirou said.
"Thanks Ei." Isao said.
"Just chuck your stuff anywhere, Kats." Eijirou said. Katsuki put his bags in the corner. "How's school?" Kirishima asked.
"It's fine." Isao said.
"Ma said you're grounded."
"I wasn't even smoking it, I don't have a lighter." Isao whined. "I just had it in my pocket and she found it when doing the washing. I'd completely forgotten about it." Eijirou snorted.
"You've gotta get better at hiding things Izzy, Hikaru got away with so much more."
"Yeah well, I blame Hikaru for why she was so over the top. She learnt from him and now she's got eye's like a fucking hawk."
"Hey, language." Eijirou scowled.
"You forget, I've been sharing a room alone with Hikaru for weeks, he swears loads. There's no goody two shoes to censor him."
"Yeah well, I'm here now and I'll wash your mouth out with soap."
"If you do I'll scream." Isao said, narrowing his eyes.
"Ugh, whatever." Eijirou rolled his eyes. "Do want a drink or anything Kats?"
"Erm yeah, sure." Katsuki said. Eijirou gestured toward the door and Katsuki left the bedroom.
"Make me tea." Isao shouted after him.
"Fuck off." Eijirou replied, causing his younger brother to gasp. "You okay?" Kirishima asked when they got to the kitchen.
"I just feel out of place. I guess. Like I'm on edge, or something." Katsuki said and Eijirou frowned.
"I'm sorry, I know my family is a lot."
"It's fine. I don't know why I feel like this. I know I'm not a people person, but that's usually because they annoy me. I don't know why I feel…scared?"
"Like you're nervous?"
"I don't think I've ever felt nervous before." Katsuki said. "Except before our first date."
"I was a mess before that." Kirishima laughed. "Why don't we have some tea and then just chill on the couch for a bit, we could watch TV or something."
"Yeah, okay." Katsuki nodded.
Eijirou put the kettle onto boil and pulled out three mugs and placed a tea bag in each. He made the tea to everyone's preferences and took two of the mugs over to the sofa, Katsuki trailing behind.
"Izzy. Tea." Eijirou shouted into the other boy.
"Thank you." Isao shouted back.
Katsuki and Eijirou sat on the sofa, the redhead turning on the television and putting on some old film. Katsuki brought his legs up and tucked them underneath him as he cradled his tea. Kirishima loosely wrapped around Katsuki's shoulder.
"So why was Hawks at Jeanist's agency?"
"They're working on something together." Katsuki said. "I'm not allowed to talk about it really. But he stayed behind to watch us spar. Spectre is the one who cut me. With his talons."
"Nasty."
"I burned him pretty bad too." Katsuki said. "It was fun though."
"That's good."
As they spoke Isao came out of his room to grab his tea, loudly slurping at the liquid, getting Eijirou's attention. When he noticed his older brother had turned Isao smirked mischievously.
"Piss off Izzy." Eijirou sighed. "go do your homework or something."
"Fine don't spend time with your brother." Isao pouted.
"Well sit down and shut up then." Eijirou frowned, shifting so he cuddled into Katsuki's side.
"You're in a foul mood." Isao said, turning back into his room. Eijirou groaned softly, resting his head on Katsuki's shoulder.
"I forget how much my siblings annoy me." He said softly. "When Ma or Pa is around, they're a lot easier to handle. But alone, my god are they frustrating."
They finished their tea, placing their mugs on the floor before cuddling closer. Eijirou placed his head on Katsuki's chest, entwining their fingers. Eijirou's other arm was wedged between the sofa and Katsuki's waist. Katsuki kissed Eijirou's forehead, causing his boyfriend to pull away slightly and look up.
Putting all of his weight on his elbow, Eijirou pushed himself up, He was face to face with Katsuki. The blond smiled warmly before their lips met. The kiss was peaceful; soft and slow. It was Eijirou's way pf reassuring Katsuki, making him relax and let his guard down. The underlying tension that had been in Katsuki's shoulders since he'd got off of the train evaporated.
Tongues explored mouths as Katsuki cupped Eijirou's jaw. The redhead played with the hem of Katsuki's shirt but he made no move to slip his hand underneath. The lost themselves in each other, no longer pretending to watch whatever movie had been playing.
Eijirou shifted to move closer, he placed his hand on Katsuki's thigh and pushed himself up. Katsuki pulled away from the kiss, grabbing Eijirou's hand and pushing it way. Kirishima fell forwards, as Katsuki sat up. The blond managed to push Eijirou so he was on his back.
"Fucking hell Ei." Katsuki growled, placing his own hand lightly on his thigh. For a moment Eijirou looked confused and a little hurt at being pushed away before realisation coloured his features.
"Shit, did I hurt you?" Eijirou said, his voice panicked. "I'm so sorry."
"It's fine, Eiji. It was an accident." Katsuki said. "You just put all of you weight directly on it."
"Sorry Baby." Eijirou frowned.
"Don't worry about it, Eiji." Katsuki kissed him chastely. "It only hurt when you did it. It's fine now."
"I'm the worst fucking boyfriend." Kirishima said, with a self-deprecating laugh.
"You're the best fucking boyfriend." Katsuki countered. "Are you okay?"
"Yeah, yeah. I should be asking you that."
"Don't worry about it." Katsuki took Eijirou's hand and brought it to his lips, kissing his knuckles.
"Come on, let's wash up the cups." Kirishima got to his feet, taking his cup towards the sink. Katsuki followed with his own. They washed and wiped in relative silence and by time Eijirou had put the cups away the front door opened again.
"Eijirou, Isao?" a male voice called, echoed by a high-pitched voice shouting "Ei, Izzy."
"In the kitchen Papa." Eijirou said as his father came into view. He was a mountain of a man, nearing seven foot. He looked ridiculously too large for the apartment. He had jet black hair like the rest of his family and deep red eyes; clearly he was where Eijirou got his looks from. He smiled at Eijirou and Katsuki when he saw them.
"Hello, Kirishima Nikko." He said holding out his hand across the counter. Katsuki took it.
"Bakugou Katsuki."
"Nice firm handshake, very manly." Nikko said. "You can tell a lot about a man from their handshake. I think you'll be a good person for my Eijirou."
"Papa." Eijirou whined.
"What Bud?" Nikko asked.
"Stop being embarrassing."
"How am I being embarrassing?"
"You just are." Eijirou said.
"I need you out of the kitchen so I can cook." Nikko said, shaking his head.
"Do you need any help?"
"No thanks, Bud. I've got it sorted." Nikko said. "If you could watch the twins though. Your Mama and Hikaru are cleaning the shop."
"Yeah, sure, we can do that. Right, Kats?"
"Erm yeah, sure." Katsuki said.
The two of them moved into the living room area, where two small children were playing with the previously abandoned toys. They were almost identical. Both of the had the same black hair as everyone else in the Kirishima family, one child's hair came down her back whilst the other's was cropped short. The both had reddish brown eyes and could be no more than 2 years old.
"Ei." The boy called as Eijirou came to sit on the floor.
"Naoki." Eijirou replied. Katsuki watched their interaction, awkwardly standing to the side. Suddenly pain shot through his leg as the other small child smacked it.
"Who you?" the little girl asked. "I Namiyo."
"Nami, this is Bakugou." Eijirou said softly.
"Bablabo?"
"No, Ba-ku-gou."
"Ba- bla-bo" Namiyo tried to repeat, making Katsuki snort.
"What about Kacchan? Is that easier for her to say?" Katsuki asked.
"Can you say Kacchan, Nami."
"Ka."
"Close enough." Katsuki shrugged.
"Ka-an." Naoki said, not to be outdone.
"Well, it's stuck." Eijirou laughed. "They can't say my name either."
"Ka, up." Namiyo said, smacking Katsuki's leg again.
"Can you stop doing that, brat?" Katsuki said, taking a step back, but the girl followed him.
"She wants you to pick her up." Eijirou said.
"I've never picked up a baby before."
"Not baby." Namiyo said, smacking Katsuki's leg yet another time.
"For fucks sake." Katsuki mumbled under his breath.
"Just put your hands under her arms and lift her up. She'll tell you if you hurt her or anything."
Katsuki did as he was told and picked up the girl. He held her close on his hip, and she tried to wrap her legs around him. She put her thumb in her mouth and rest her head on his shoulder.
"See, you've got her."
Namiyo eventually fell asleep, her breath hot against Katsuki's neck, her drool making a wet patch on his collar.. Eijirou and Naoki played for a little longer until the other twin settled himself on Eijirou's lap and proptley fell asleep too.
"Poor things, they tired themselves out." Nikko said from the kitchen. "Could you put them in their cots? Let them sleep for a bit."
"Sure Pa." Eijirou said, picking up his youngest brother. "Come on Kats."
The two of them carried the sleeping babies into Eijrou's parent's room. There was one cot with blue blankets and one with pink. Katsuki watched Eijirou put Naoki down in the cot, putting a blue blanket over him. Katsuki then copied his actions with Namiyo.
"You're good with her." Eijirou said, putting his head on Katsuki's shoulder as they watched the twins sleep.
"I didn't do anything, she just went to sleep." Katsuki shrugged.
"That's the goal, to get them to sleep. They can't cause trouble if they're asleep." Eijirou laughed.
"Whatever."
"I'm going to tell Midoriya you called yourself Kacchan willingly." Eijirou said.
"Hah? Everyone used to call me Kacchan, when I was little."
"They did?"
"Yeah. I used to have a friend who struggled to say Katsuki, he had a lisp. Izuku started calling my Kacchan, and then so did the kid with a lisp. It kinda caught on amongst my friends." Katsuki said. "As we got older people shifted back to calling me Katsuki. Izuku never did."
"Oh." Eijirou said.
"I don't really care about it." Katsuki said. "Kaminari has started to call me Kacchan too."
"I noticed that." Eijirou said, kissing Katsuki's cheek. "Come on, let's go, let them sleep."
Eijirou and Katsuki returned to the main room, they both picked up the twins' toys, putting them away in a small toy box in the corner.
"Bakugou, are you okay with spicey food?" Nikko asked from the kitchen.
"Oh, yeah, I'm fine." Katsuki said.
"Yeah Pa, Kats is practically immune to spice. I'm never eating your food again." Eijirou laughed. "My taste buds are still recovering."
"Oh? Well then, I don't have to hold back." Nikko said. "Your Ma was worried it would be too much."
"I'll be okay with however much you want to put in." Katsuki said.
Eijirou came up behind Katsuki, wrapping his arms around his boyfriend's waist. The redhead kissed Katsuki's jaw before hugging him tightly. Katsuki ran his hand over Eijirou's arms.
"It's nice to see you smile again, Eijirou." Nikko said, causing his son to look at him.
"What?"
"You were so sad before you went to U.A. You've been getting happier since you enrolled, and I think moving out has done wonders for you." Nikko said. "You can finally stand out and be the person you want to be."
"You think so?"
"Mhm. You'll always have a place here, but I think being able to have your own space and your independence has been good for you." Nikko said. "You've really become a man that I'm proud to call my son."
"Papa." Eijirou said quietly, tears welling in his eyes.
"Come give your Pa a hug." Nikko said with a laugh. Eijirou moved away from Katsuki and practically ran across the room to hug his father. "Your Ma said you were struggling a little the other day?"
"It was just a bad day. Kats helped me. I spoke to the school counsellor."
"That's good Ei. I'm glad you have a support network." Nikko said. "Thank you Bakugou, for being a part of that."
"You don't have to thank me." Katsuki said as Eijirou smiled at him.
It didn't take long for Sayuri and Hikaru to come up the stair and lay the table. Nikko dished up the curry he had been making and dinner was served. They left the twins sleeping and crowded around the table. Nikko and Sayuri sat at opposite sides of the table, Hikaru and Isao sat next to each other, Katsuki and Eijirou opposite them.
"So, Bakugou, you want to be a hero, like Eijirou?" Sayuri asked whilst they ate.
"Erm yeah, I've wanted to be one since I was little." Katsuki said, Hikaru snorted.
"Who didn't want to be a hero when they were little?"
"Yeah, well. I trained hard, and got into the school of my dreams, so I'm not like everyone else." Katsuki said. Eijirou placed a hand on Katsuki's lap and squeezed his good leg in reassurance.
"You've got a pretty powerful Quirk as well?" Sayuri said.
"Yeah, it runs in the family." Katsuki shrugged.
"And what do your parents do?" Nikko asked.
"They're both fashion designers."
"Ah that explains why you're so well dressed." Sayuri said lightly and Katsuki blushed.
"Thank you."
"Katsuki also works with Best Jeanist, so he always dresses well." Eijirou added.
"Oh the Number Three Hero? You must be good." Sayuri added.
"Ma, he won the Sports Festival, of course he's good." Isao added.
"If not quite aggressive." Hikaru added.
"Back off, Hikaru." Eijirou snapped. Hirkaru held his hands up in mock surrender.
"Just stating the facts."
"I lost consciousness at the end of my fight with Shouto. When I woke up I was chained to a post and muzzled. I didn't know what was happening and I panicked. I can't help it if I was portrayed as aggressive." Katsuki replied. "Everything else was done in a combat situation, in which aggression is expected."
"Exactly. I fought to the point I was unconscious, I fought just as hard as Kats, no one saw me as aggressive. Hell look at Shouto, he was just as brutal, taking people out. He really hurt Midoriya in their fight. No one gives a shit about that."
"Eijirou, language." Sayuri said.
"What Ma? If he's gonna talk shit about my boyfriend, I'm going to defend him. It costs nothing to be nice, Hikaru."
"Yes. You're quite right, Eijirou. Bakugou is a guest, and you will treat him as such Hikaru. I know you want to make sure that Eijirou is being treated properly, but being hostile isn't going to achieve anything."
"Being treated properly? What does that mean?" Eijirou asked.
"The media isn't exactly kind when talking about Bakugou."
"The media isn't exactly truthful."
"Eiji, it's fine. I expected this."
"We don't believe what they've been saying, Bakugou." Nikko said.
"Of course not. Just cautious." Sayuri said. "We mean no offence, and you seem like a nice boy."
"It's fine. I know what's being said." Katsuki said, looking down at the table.
"Well, he's nothing like what they say. He's kind, and sweet. My best friend and my boyfriend, I wouldn't be dating him if he was an arsehole."
"We know, Eijirou. We know. I'm sorry Bakugou. As I said before, you've made my son happy. I knew as soon as I saw you pick up Namiyo that the media was wrong." Nikko said. "I want to welcome you to the family, as long as you want to be a part of it."
"Thank you." Katsuki said.
After they had eaten Isao and Hikaru washed up as Nikko and Sayuri woke up the twins and fed them. Katsuki and Eijirou were given the job of picking a movie for the family to watch. Eijirou attempted to give the job to Katsuki, claiming that he was the guest. But Katsuki argued that he didn't know what would be appropriate for the twins. In the end they just went for 101 Dalmatians, which Eijirou said was the twins' favourite film.
"You're just a family of dog people, aren't you?" Katsuki laughed.
"Oh yeah." Eijirou said.
The family all crowded into the living room, Sayuri, Nikko and Isao on one sofa, Hikaru, Eijirou and Katsuki o the other, the twins on the floor. Katsuki and Eijirou cuddled together in a similar manner to how they were earlier.
About 20 minutes into the movie, Namiyo pushed herself up onto her feet and coming round to the sofa. Katsuki watched as she came to stand next to him. She looked at him and patted his knee.
"I sit with Ka." She said, patting his knee again. Katsuki sighed, leaning forwards and picking her up. He sat her between himself and Eijirou, she giggled happily. "Doggy." She said, pointing at the screen.
"Yeah, doggy." Katsuki repeated rolling his eyes. Eijirou smiled at him as his kissed his sister's cheek. Namiyo snuggled into Katsuki's side, once more sucking her thumb.
As they continued to watch the film, Katsuki felt his phone buzz in his back pocket. It was awkward manoeuvring to get it out without disrupting Namiyo and Eijirou too much, but eventually he managed to get it out.
From Purple:
Your cat's a slut.
Shinsou had sent him an image. It was a selfie, revealing Hoshi lying on Shinsou's lap, on her back. Her paws were in the air, as if she was trying to reach for the phone. Katsuki scowled, recognising the orange rug Shinsou was sat on.
From Angry:
Get the fuck out of my room, Asshole.
From Purple:
Shouto was getting Hoshi's things.
I came with.
From Angry:
Why?
From Purple:
I don't know. I was bored.
Katsuki rolled his eyes. He wasn't intending to reply to Shinsou and was about to put his phone back onto his pocket when it buzzed again, this time with a message from Shouto.
From Icyhot:
Hoshi's doing okay. She was a bit sad.
But I took her to Kouda.
He said she thought you were gone forever.
But he told her you're coming back.
She seems better now.
From Katsuki:
Thanks Shouto, give her a hug from me.
From Icyhot:
Will do.
From Katsuki:
How are you doing?
From Icyhot:
I'm okay. Momo keeps apologising.
I don't know how to get her to stop.
From Katsuki:
Have you told her you forgive her?
From Icyhot:
Yeah.
Girls are weird.
From Katsuki:
Tell me about it.
From Icyhot:
I just did?
From Katsuki:
It's an expression.
It means I agree with you.
From Icyhot:
Oh.
"Who are you talking to?" Eijirou asked.
"Shouto." Katsuki replied. "Hoshi thought I abandoned her."
"I'm sure she didn't."
"Yeah she did. Kouda spoke to her. He apparently cleared it all up though, told her I was coming back." Katsuki said.
"Who's Hoshi?" Sayuri asked.
"Oh, my cat." Katsuki said.
"Meow." Namiyo said, making everyone smile.
"I didn't know you could have pets at the dorms." Nikko said.
"We're not really, you need special circumstances. Kats has Hoshi and Kouda has a bunny."
"That's nice." Sayuri said
Later on it was time for bed. Katsuki and Eijirou went into the bedroom and began to change. Katsuki had bought a pair of sweats, a T-shirt and the Crimson Riot hoodie he had stolen the day before. Eijirou smiled at the sight, as he slipped on his own t-shirt and shorts.
"I do want that back, you know?" He said as he began to set up the futon.
"You'll get it back, at some point." Katsuki replied.
"Shit, is that where you got hurt?" Eijirou asked as Katsuki changed. The blond looked down to the plasters on his thigh.
"Yeah. It's fine. I was going to take more painkillers before bed." He said as he pulled on his sweats.
"I'll get you some water." Eijirou said, jumping up to his feet and rushing from the room. Katsuki shook his head before moving to finish setting up the blankets. Hikaru and Isao came into the room behind him.
"Bakugou. I'm sorry for earlier." Hikaru said. "I'm protective of all my siblings. A little too protective."
"It's fine. No harm done." Katsuki said. "I want us to get along, for Eijirou."
"Well like Papa said, welcome to the family." Isao said with a smile.
"Thanks." Katsuki replied. Eijirou came back into the room, holding a glass of water.
"Here you go, Baby." He said, handing Katsuki the glass.
"I could have got it myself, Ei."
"I know." Eijirou shrugged. Katsuki reached down to his bag to get out the painkillers Jeanist had left him.
"Are you hurt?" Hikaru asked as Katsuki took the tablets.
"He got skewered in training." Eijirou said.
"Nasty."
"Yeah, it was an accident." Katsuki replied. He placed the glass on one of the sets of drawers before getting out his suppressant gloves and his hearing aid case. He put the gloves on.
Eijirou got into the futon, followed by Katsuki as he took out his hearing aids.
"Can one of you turn the light off when you're done?" Eijirou asked.
"Yeah." Isao said.
"Keep it PG Ei, if I hear anything I'm telling Ma." Hikaru stuck out his tongue.
"Fuck off." Eijirou responded, snuggling into Katsuki's body. The blond kissed him lightly, wrapping his arms around his boyfriend. Katsuki allowed his eyes to flutter shut as he inhaled the coconut scent of his boyfriend.
Next to him, Eijirou did the same as his brothers got ready for bed before turning the lights off. It didn't take long for the painkillers to kick in and for Katsuki to drift off to sleep, Eijirou was quick to follow.
A/N: Is anyone still reading this or nah? Because I might just leave this if no one is.
