Ch 22

Goodbye and Thank you

I say bye to Naruto as I heads home as he nods as once, I get their I got right to my rooftop garden. I was already getting dark as I could see the moon out as I looks out onto the village." I don't normal stop and looks at the village thinking that this place was nothing bye a place in a anime. Everything looks just like it and the people too… but this is just a anime, this is real life to me now…"
I shuts my eyes thinking back on when I came here and all the things that happened seen then. To going to ninja academy, meeting the main cast, making friends and then being in team 7. A smile comes onto my face remember the day as I laugh quietly to myself remember the infamous kiss scene, being on the same team as Naruto and Sasuke. Meeting Kakashi sensei and going on missions.

I open up my eyes looking up at the moon now." I did so much is the years I been here. I'm now 13 and I came here when I was 7. Six years sure went by fast. In my old world I be 29…oh man I feel so old..." I laughs a bit to myself at the thought but then another hit me as I looks down. " I wonder what's happening. Did anyone notice I was gone? Or maybe time froze or, my old world just doesn't exist anymore….event now when I hear a storm and the thunder and lightning I can't help but flinch."
I sighs a bit as I put a hand on my forehead trying not to get a headache about think of it too much."… I might never know or even return… that thought scares me, thinking of never seeing anyone of my old family or friends again…my old job, reading manga or watching new anime… I guess I'm living any Otaku dream by living in a anime… but you can't treat this place or the people as in the anime and as characters… there real to me."

I sighs more as I goes and tends my plants as during the middle I suddenly stop when I sense dangerous chakra nearby as I tries focusing on how many. After a few minutes I figure out its four people as I gasp" …no their here..." I stop what I'm doing and quickly leaves heading to where the chakras are now hoping I'm not too late to help Sasuke you. I soon find the spot as I sees the sound four standing in front of an injured Sasuke as I gasps at this.
I don't even think as I charges in making hand signs." Plant style: leaf storm!" I focuses my chakra as leaves from the tree next them fly off the branches and goes flying at the four ninjas now as they all back as I gets in front of Sasuke guarding him as I glares at the." You stay away from Sasuke if you know what's good for you!" I look at them as they jump away from us looking at me. Sakon" ah you're the plant girl lord Orochimaru mentioned."

I keeps glaring gas Sasuke stay put sitting behind me surprised I got here so fast. Sakon" lord orochimaru also wants you to come join him as well as Sasuke. Even though you do not have a curse mark. You should be very honoured plant girl." I keep glaring at them." The names Suki Haruno, you remember it. I only going to warn you once, you try to move to escape or come near us or even do a jutsu. Ill make so much noise that the whole village will be awake and alert."
They listens to me but Sakon laughs not believe me for a bit. Sakon" haha how cute a little girl making such big threats to us when you cant make them up!" he charges at me as I pulls out a kunai and throws it at him but he easily deflected it and grabbed me by the throat as I gasps struggling to breath. Sasuke" Suki!" he glares at Sakon as his curse mark starts to act up as his about attack Sakon but Kidomaru knocked him back.

Sakon" hmph not so tough now are you plant gi-" he suddenly gasPs and lets me go taking a few steps back in pain as he had a wound on his stomach. Sakon"grrr you damn wench!" I rubs my throat as I smirks as I had my grass blade on my left arm with blood at the tip where I stabbed him." Like you said I'm a plant girl, so don't underestimate me."I stands on my feet ready to attack again.
Tayuya steps forward looking at us both. Tayuya" you both can be so much stronger if you come join lord orochimaru. He can give you power you can't get in this simple village where your wasting your talents." She glances at Sasuke. Tayuya" don't forget your purpose, is to kill your brother Itachi, lord orochimaru can give you the power you need to end him." Sasuke flinches at the mention of Itachi name.

She looks back at me. Tayuya" you have a rare and powerful jutsu, lord orochimaru can help get you to reach greater heights of power then you could here. Once you get your own curse mark you gain a part of orochimaru." I listens to this as I just starts to laugh a bit. This causes them to get confused look as I turns to them smiling." you know could you take a message back to orochimaru for me."
I keep up my smile as they wait to listen to me." Tell him he can take his offer…and shove it!" I glares at them as I points my grass blade at them." Sorry but I am not falling for pretty words of power and greatness, because their nothing but lies! All that snake cares for his himself no one else, he just uses and manipulates people making promises he won't keep.!" The four were angered by my reply.

Sakon" tsk, damn wench sadly we can't take either of ye by force you have to decide…we be waiting." All four vanishes now as I breaths a sigh of relief as I put my grass blade away now turning to Sasuke as I walks over and kneeing down in front of him putting a hand on his cheek." are you ok Sasuke? Let me heal you for any injures" I focus as my hand glows slowly healing him as the curse mark goes back to normal now.
Sasuke wasn't making eye contact with me at all as he glances to the floor as he thought about what the four said before I showed up and after before they vanished." After I finish healing you, I pulls my hand away." there you should be fine now Sasuke, here let me help you stand up." I slowly stand up holding my hand out for you. Sasuke now looks at me as I had a look of sorrow in my eyes as he slowly takes my hand.

Sasuke" … I should get home, you should to Suki..." he turns and vanishes too not giving me a chance to even talk to him." …Sasuke..." I sees him go as I grips my fist as I takes a deep breath trying to calm myself as I heads off too, but not to home." An hour had passed as Sasuke got dressed with a bag on his back as he was standing in his room looking at the picture of team 7.
He slowly puts a picture down and leaves his place now walking slowly to the gate to leave. After passing the academy taking a quick glance at it and keeps walking down the streets as the only sound, he could here be his own steps. Soon he came to the one path that leads out the village as he walks, he soon spots some sitting on a stone bench. Due to the pink hair he knew it could only be me as I hears him and stands up looking at him.

He only stopped briefly seeing me but he kept walking as neither of us spoke as he soon walked past me is when I speck up."…why are you choosing this path Sasuke. Don't you know where it leads…" Sasuke now stops but keeps his back to me. Sasuke" you wouldn't understand me at all Suki..." I look at him gripping my fist." …your right... I do not know how it feels to lose your family…"
The thoughts I had from early in my garden come back but I shake them off knowing this isn't the time to think of myself." I might not be able to understand your pain…but I can be there for you, Sasuke do not listen to those sound ninja. Its all empty promises, orochimaru will give you nothing but a path into darkness." I take a pause thinking of all the things that will happen to Sasuke in the future.

"you won't be happy, even if you get your revenge…what will it do? You be no different than killing another Uchiha even if its your brother." Sasuke continue to listen to me as he keeps his calm. Sasuke" I'm an average Suki, it is my destiny…your path in the light mine is in the dark, to gain power ill sever all my bonds, with this village, all our friends, team 7….even with you.." he keeps having his back to me.
I listens to him talk as I feel some angry boil as I grip my fists tighter."…destiny… you think your destiny to kill and to be all alone in the end?.. I'm sorry to say Sasuke…but that is stupid…your destiny not defined like that, you don't have to turn your back to us…don't you remember what I said before…your not alone!" I took a step to him raising my voice a bit as I looks at him serious.

"you act like you don't care, but you do! You have a heart Sasuke, just like all of us. You do not have to act like were nothing to you. Me, Naruto and Kakashi care about you. If you really wanna act cold hearted…then turn around and say it right to me face if your serious!" I takes some deep breaths trying to calm myself for I was getting very emotional about all this now.
Sasuke took a moment and turned around to face me as for a second he had a look of shock on his face. I was standing their shaking. But it was not from rage it was sorrow as I was trying but failing to hold back my tears, but they slip down my face into the floor. Sasuke" …Suki.." I sniffs wiping my face."…god I didn't want look like some silly crying girl begging you not to go…but I can't stop the tears."

I sniffs more trying using both hands to wipe my tears away as my vision was blocked by my hands. But once I put my hands down to look at Sasuke. He was now in front of me. "..Sasuke.." before I could say anything else he pulled me into a tight hug that catches me off guard. I was really shocked for Sasuke to do such a thing, but I wrap my arms around him hugging him back resting my head on his shoulder.
"…Sasuke. Please do not go. You don't have to be alone again." I bury my face into his shoulder as he rubs my back gently. He almost wanted to say the thing that would stop your tears but then remember the time he saw Itachi again. He remembers how helpless he felt and how you got put into a genjutsu. He feels angry that all he could do was stay by my side while I was asleep unsure when I wake up.

Sasuke thinks of his time after losing his parents and his clan. He remembers the whispers the other kids made back in the academy. But what stuck out was how you defended him. He was sitting at his desk, gotten their early before class as other kids see him and starts to whisper. Kid1" hey look that's Sasuke, I heard his whole family got killed by his big brother. I overheard my parents talking about it."
The kids keep whispering about it but Sasuke was able to hear it as he keeps his head down not walking people to be talking or even pity him too. Just then Sasuke heard a loud thuds that made him jump slightly as he looks back as he saw both kids talking about him with large bumps on their heads as a young girl with pink hair stands in front of them with a raised fist." Would you pair shut your traps! Don't talk lighting on that stuff.!"

Suki was huffing while doing her best glare at them as both kids grumble calling her a freak with being friends with Naruto as they run out the room saying they tell on me." Yea yea get lost!" I sticks my tongue as they run off and I shuts the door." I took a deep breath and turns walking over to you smiling." Sorry about that Sasuke, some people have no manners ya know, I hope we can hang out sometime, you don't have to be all on your own."
I smiles as this was the first time I really spoke to Sasuke and he saw how angry I get with someone being mean or rude to someone. He always found that interesting you be so caring as he thinks of the other times you shown great care and kindness to even people you barely knew. He knew I treat people fairly, as he remembers the times I defended Naruto and stayed his friend through it all.

Sasuke thinks of all the times with everyone as he was happy, but not as happy when he was with me. But the images of Itachi and his revenge cloud all the happy times and even the promise of power from orochimaru as well. Sasuke hugs me a bit tighter now as he leans close to me ear. Sasuke" …Suki you're an amazing person, but I'm saying goodbye to you and everyone…so thank you for everything..."
I hear all this as the tears come again." No sasu-"before I could finish Sasuke knocks me out and lays me down on the bench. Sasuke gently wipes away my tears and brushes away some stray hairs on my face as he leans down close to my face but stops just inches away. He glances down at my lips thinking for a second but, dismisses it and moves over and kisses me on the cheek instead.

Sasuke" … I have you have the heart to forgive me,…goodbye my beloved." he leans away and started to walk away sneaking out of the village and joins the sound four as they were glad they had someone going back with them as Sasuke took one last look at the village then turns and leaves with the sound four into the night now. No one know what just happened now as I only woke up when some guards found me in the bench.
I looks around knowing what happened as I grips my fists and quickly runs to the Hokage office as I burst in the door as I startle Tsunade, Shizune and also Tonton. Tsunade" what's wrong Suki? What is with the rush?" I take some deep breaths looking at her. "..Sasuke..h-he..he left for orochimaru!" I bite my lip trying to stop the tears. they were shocked to hear this as Shizune goes and hugs me gently.

Tsunade thinks a bit. Tsunade" Suki I'm afraid I don't have many I can send to tail them. "I takes some deep breaths as I looks at her." Then please let me bring together a team, I know I am a new Chunin, but I know I can do it please let me lady Tsunade!" I bows to her deeply as she sees how serious I am and nods. Tsunade" got it you get your team together Tsunade, but you will be limited."
I stand back up and nods." Understood I already know who I want thank you." I bows again and leaves the room to get her team together now As she goes around to find them all as she tells them what happened as she wishes them to met her at the gate in an hour. Suki went home to get all her stuff together as she puts on her Chunin vest on as she looks in the mirror serious.

Soon it came time to met as she gets to the gate and soon her team shows up. "thank you all for coming on such short noticed I'm very grateful to you all." I bow to my team which is of Shikamaru, Neji, Naruto, Choji and Kiba." Shikamaru and I will be co -leaders in this mission, this will not be easy, were going up with a group called the sound four. I only met them briefly but they are a fierce bunch and not to be taken lightly."
Shikamaru" yea so we didn't have much choices on who can go but I think we got a good chance at this." I nod as everyone was determined to get Sasuke back. Naruto" yea we definitely get Sasuke back! Believe it!" I nods agree as I ask everyone if they really want to go as they all nods." ok then, now then come on team lets hurry before they can cross the border!" we all now charges off to tail the sound ninjas and Sasuke.

Alright thats another one done, such emotional one huh? So sasuke joining the dark side? Will Suki and her rag tag team get him back? whats goign to happen next? only time will tell,anways hope you enjoyed and take care and bye bye ^^
