A/N: Hey all! This is a long one! Somethings get a little "spicy" in here!
17: Happy Birthday
Lexi was sitting in the parlor with James. It was late at night a week into July. A storm was raging outside. They were playing wizards chess next to the window.
"I win again," James smirked as his Bishop destroyed her King.
"No surprise there," she laughed.
"So get a lot done in the studio today," James asked lying back on the floor.
"Yeah, everything's going pretty well," she grinned. There was a flash of lightning and a loud crash of thunder. Lexi stared out the rain washed window. "Have you heard from Sirius?"
"Not since the first letter," James said, his voice sounded worried. Based on the letter they got things were not good for him at home. "He just had to piss them off buying that muggle motor bike," he gave a weak chuckle.
"Merlin," Lexi shook her head with a smile. There was another crash of thunder. This time there was a rumbling noise that continued after the thunder subsided. It was growing louder.
"What is that," James asked, moving to the window seat with Lexi. There was a light coming up the drive as the noise got closer. They watched as it came into view under a flash of lightning.
"That's a motorbike," Lexi gasped.
"Sirius," they said together before running down into the foyer and pulling the doors open. Sirius was getting off the bike and began stumbling to the stairs. He made it up the first two before collapsing. Lexi ran out into the rain first, James right behind her. They heaved him up into the house and all collapsed, wet. Lexi pulled herself out from under Sirius and looked down at herself in horror before screaming. She was covered in blood. James quickly flipped Sirius over and started screaming for his parents. Sirius was bleeding from several gashes on his chest and one along his jaw. Mr. and Mrs. Potter rushed into the foyer still wearing their bed clothes.
"Oh," Elana gasped when she saw the scene. "Harold, get him into a guest room. Lexi, go get me towels, James go get his things," she pointed to the open door. Both teens went to protest. "Now," she ordered. They moved quickly after watching Mr. Potter levitate Sirius off to a first floor room. Once they completed their tasks they were sitting outside the room on the floor of the hallway. Lexi was leaning against James who had his arm around her and was patting her hair. Neither of them went to change or dry off. What felt like hours later the door opened. Lexi and James looked up at Elana and Harold expectantly.
"He's going to be alright," Mrs. Potter said. The two let out the breath they were holding. "Whatever hit him was pretty nasty. I was able to heal him but the scars won't go away."
"We need to clean up and go deal with a few things," Mr. Potter said warily. "Stay with him. James, I'll have my mirror. If he wakes up, contact us immediately."
"Yes, sir," James said shakily. They left the hall. Lexi and James stood up and entered the room. Sirius was lying in the middle of the bed looking peaceful while he slept. His muscular torso was uncovered and he was shirtless. They saw the scars Elana had spoken of. He had three on his chest like claw marks and one lightly tracing his jaw.
"Merlin," Lexi whispered, sitting on the edge of the bed. James pulled an armchair over next to the bed and sat. They sat quietly for a little while.
"Lex, go get cleaned up," James kept his voice quiet but it sounded loud in the silence.
"I'm fine," she said hoarsely.
"I'll come get you if anything changes," James sighed. "You're covered in his blood still."
"So are you," she muttered.
"I'll go after you." She sighed and got up slowly making her way to her shower.
She pulled off her tank top and shorts then stepped into the hot water. She watched numbly as the dried blood washed off her skin. When she finished she put on yoga pants and a t-shirt before making her way back to the room Sirius and James were in. She silently took her place back on the edge of the bed.
"I'll bring back some tea," James said as he got out of his seat and left the room. Lexi gently took Sirius' hand as she stared at him. He had almost died. She saw him collapse. She had been covered in his blood. She felt a tear fall down her cheek.
"I'm so angry at you," she said quietly. "You scared me...What even happened," she sighed and brushed a piece of his hair out of his face. "Sirius," she sighed. "I know you can't hear me right now but damn if I don't tell you right now, I'm a bloody idiot." She wiped away a few tears fiercely. "I'm pretty sure I love you. You infuriate me, but I hate when we don't talk. I can't stand seeing you with other girls, but I'm too scared you just won't be serious with me." She watched his sleeping form for a moment letting silence fall again. "I was furious when I found out about the incident with Filroy near the end of term. It wasn't because you had gotten into it with him, but because you were snogging some bimbo," she scoffed. "Bloody hell, I need you to get better, wake up, and pull your head out of your arse." She sat quietly again just looking at him. She jumped slightly thirty minutes later when James came back. She took the cup of tea from him and positioned herself against the headboard.
"Mum says he'll be okay," James said, almost sounding like he needed to convince himself. Lexi just nodded. "What the bloody hell happened," he asked incredulously. Lexi stared out the window wondering herself.
"We just have to wait until he wakes up," she sighed. The only noise was them placing their empty cups down minutes later. Soon she heard James snoring softly. She laid down on the bed facing Sirius and took his hand. "Please wake up," she whispered. Her eyes drifted closed as sleep won the battle she was fighting.
"Your mum said I'll be good in a few days," Lexi heard Sirius' voice floating through the hazy wall of sleep that was fading.
"Good. Dad told me what you said happened," James said warily.
"Yeah. It wasn't pretty," Sirius said nervously.
"We saw."
"I'm sorry. I didn't know…"
"Don't apologize mate, you're always welcome here."
"Is she alright?"
"She seemed to be in shock for awhile. I had to make her go shower to get the blood off her," James muttered.
"She's been out awhile. Even while your parents were in here," Sirius looked down at the sleeping red-head next to him. He smiled slightly. Waking up to her next to him wasn't bad at all.
"Like I said, she went into shock, probably exhausted her." Just then Lexi yawned and her eyes fluttered open. She sat up and stretched.
"You always know how to make an appearance, Black," she gave him a worried smile.
"I'm fine, Red," he grinned at her. "A few days of bed rest and I'll be good as new."
"So, what happened," she asked timidly. He took a deep breath before answering.
"I asked them if I could leave. They didn't like it. I told them I was going. They tried to make me stay. The tortured me," he was staring at his hands while he spoke. Lexi was staring at him in horror. "When I was able to finally make my way out the door they told me that if I lived not to come back."
"Sirius, I am so sorry," she said softly touching his hand.
"At least I'm gone," he chuckled bitterly. The door opened and Mrs. Potter brought in lunch. After doing a quick check over on Sirius she left again.
"So, fill me in, how's the last two weeks been," Sirius grinned at the pair.
"Well it had been pretty boring," James chuckled.
"Come on, I doubt that. Red you've been working on your album?"
"Yeah, it's going," she smiled.
"I expect to hear some of it when I'm allowed out of this room," he winked.
"Deal. I should get going anyway," she smiled and slipped out of the room. Sirius watched her hips swing as she went.
"Are we really going to do this again," James chuckled watching him.
"What," Sirius chuckled. "She's attractive, Prongs."
"Don't make me punch you," James laughed.
"You'll get over it eventually," Sirius smirked.
"So what really happened," James raised an eyebrow.
"What do you mean," Sirius muttered looking down at the blanket, his smirk gone.
"I know you, Padfoot. I can tell when you're lying," James now was smirking.
"They want Reg to join next summer," Sirius looked at him somberly.
"What?"
"I tried to convince him not to. They didn't like me vocalizing against their precious Voldemort," his voice was bitter, his eyes dark.
"Do you think they were serious?"
"Sounded like it. Their reaction seemed like it. I wasn't lying about what they said though. I'm not allowed back."
"You know you can stay here as long as you need."

A few days later Lexi was in the studio. She was listening through a track that she had just finished adding backup vocals to. She had the words in front of her as she practiced the pace and timing.
"Track sounds brilliant, Red," Sirius and James had walked in as the track faded out.
"Free from the confines of the room I see," she smirked.
"Free and thrilled," he beamed.
"We were on our way out to play Quidditch but someone insisted that we pop down," James teased with a smirk.
"Oi, I was told I would get to hear something," Sirius defended.
"Not like we don't have all summer," James laughed ruffling his hair.
"Well, I guess your timing works. Hit play and record for me," she stood up from the stool and made her way behind the glass. She put the headphones on and gave a smirk and nod to Sirius who did as instructed. A few beats hit before she started singing the backup vocals matching perfectly while she sang.
"Eyes on me, don't think I don't see ya...You staring, like you're tryna fill a...And you're watching, every move that I make-And I know that you dream about it-I know that you think about me. I'm movin' forward, actin' like I never knew ya-I promise, to only make it harder for ya. Stop staring, she's only gonna cry some more-'Cause she knows that you dream about it-She knows that you think about me," she smirked at Sirius as she started dancing getting into the song. "No matter where I look, you're there. No matter what I do, you stare...I'm over wishing you would step up. How's it feel knowing that you messed up?" Sirius grinned watching her. Her hair was down and the waves bounced as she danced. "I think that you gonna have to face it. You know that you're killing my vibe. You think that you're so amazing-I hate to break you down but, Karma comes around and-I see you going round in circles. Tryna see if I still care. You think that you're so amazing-I hate to break you down, but Karma comes around and…" She looked over at James and winked as he stood there with a smirk before staring at Sirius as she went into the second verse. "Unbothered, when I see you standing there. Your tryna, play dumb and just pretend. You're not watching, everything that I'm doing-You know can't breathe without me-You know you can't drink without me. I'll keep dancing, 'cause I know that you gonna stare. And you wanna, be touching me everywhere. Well get with it, 'cause you know that you lost that chance-And you know I don't dream about you-You know I can sleep without you," she smirked and kept dancing having fun with the song. "No matter where I look, you're there. No matter what I do, you stare. I'm over wishing you would step up-How's it feel knowing that you messed up? I think that you gonna have to face it. You know that you're killing my vibe...You think that you're so amazing-I hate to break you down but, Karma comes around and-I see you going round in circles. Tryna see if I still care. You think that you're so amazing-I hate to break you down, but Karma comes around and…" the music slowed and she began to run her hands up her body from her thighs slowly winding her hips. "I think I've got it figured out. I know that I'm tougher now. Queens don't need a man for the throne-And I'm fine to dance on my own. So keep your eyes on me. Keep on watching, baby. Even if you don't know it yet-I'll be the one you won't forget." She winked at Sirius going back into the chorus again. Sirius was now watching her with his mouth hanging open slightly. "I think that you gonna have to face it. You know that you're killing my vibe. You think that you're so amazing-I hate to break you down, but Karma comes around and...I see you going round in circles-Tryna see if I still care...You think that you're so amazing-I hate to break you down, but Karma comes around and." The music stopped and Sirius hit the button to stop the recording. Lexi smirked as she left the booth.
"Damn, Red," Sirius grinned.
"Alright," James chuckled. "Come on, Padfoot. You heard something, now I'm going to kick your ass," James nudged his best friend before heading up the stairs.
"The confidence is hot," Sirius let his eyes look over her body. Her long tan legs wore cut off jean shorts. Her toned stomach was showing in the off the shoulder crop top she was wearing. A bright blue bra strap was showing. The curve of her chest making the crop top show more skin than it typically would. She crossed her arms and popped a hip eyeing him skeptically.
"Padfoot," James yelled from the top of the stairs.
"Coming," Sirius called back, not taking his eyes off of her. "We'll have some fun this summer, Red," he gave her a wink before leaving.
"Merlin," she sighed, dropping onto the couch, she had her own smirk playing on her lips. He didn't know just how much fun she planned on having.
Sirius jogged up the steps to meet a grinning James.
"What Prongs," Sirius laughed.
"She's going to get me in trouble this year," James chuckled as they began their walk to the field.
"Why do you think that," Sirius asked as they started walking.
"She's already comfortable dating, now she's damn near an adult," James laughed.
"Right," Sirius muttered. The only thing could think though was that James wouldn't have to do much if he were around. But he also knew he'd need to make sure he watched out for James too.
Lexi finished up in the studio a few hours later and made her way outside. She had walked out the front door and jogged down the steps. She noticed Sirius' Motorbike parked to the side of the drive. Lexi smirked and made her way over to it just staring. She reached out a hand to touch the handle.
"Curious, Red," Sirius' voice came from behind her, making her jump. He was smirking at her. His arms were crossed and he was sweaty in his t-shirt and athletic pants. His hair was damp and shoved back out of his face.
"Just a little," she smirked back at him.
"It's better than a broom," he took a step closer to her.
"I doubt that," she crossed her arms and instantly saw his eyes flash over her curvy form.
"The power is intoxicating," his voice dropped to that husky tone that gave her butterflies. "I'm sure you'd like it," he was still smirking as he moved even closer to her. Their chests were close to touching. He leaned to whisper in her ear. "Not to mention...having it between your legs," his hand drifted slyly against her thigh giving her goosebumps. He was shocked when she didn't pull away. "I bet it'd turn you on." Her eyes had fluttered shut and she involuntarily let out a small moan when he said it. Her eyes snapped open when she felt his hand grab her arse.
"Someone could see," she blushed, taking his hand off of her at his wrist.
"Here I thought you were enjoying yourself, Red," she looked into his eyes which had darkened slightly. He was still smirking.
"I was," she purred with her own smirk. "James still might try to pummel you."
"Fair point," he chuckled.
"But I'll take your deal."
"You don't think it will?"
"Why don't we just find out," she poked his chest flirtatiously leaving her finger on him.
"I've got to do some maintenance on it after the trip it had, but after I've got it fixed we could go on a ride," his eyes were glinting with mischief.
"Deal," she winked, walking away dragging her hand along his chest. She knew she was swinging her hips more than usual, but this was fun. She walked through the garden for a while before heading back to the house. She noticed him working on the bike in front of the house. He was dirty with black smudges on his clothes and cheeks. She grinned to herself watching as his arms strained against his shirt while he worked. As if he knew she was watching he looked up and right at her. She bit her lip as she smiled and winked before heading back into the house.

"Lex," James called as he and Sirius walked into her room the next day.
"I'm getting dressed," they heard her yell from her closet.
"Well hurry up," James yelled back.
"Sod off Jamie, I don't wake up looking perfect!" Sirius let out a barking laugh. James rolled his eyes and flopped onto her bed while Sirius stretched out on the sofa.
"We've got some exciting news," James said loudly for her to hear.
"You two are leaving?"
"Get off it and get out here," James groaned.
"What's so bloody important?" She had walked out of the closet and Sirius' jaw dropped. She had on a black skater skirt and a deep purple off the shoulder crop top. Her hair was wavy and sexily swooped to the side. Her eyes looked piercing from the smokey purple eye shadow and her heavy lashes.
"The bloody hell are you wearing," James jumped. "Did mum buy that for you," he asked skeptically. "Do you have any full sized shirts?"
"What's your news Jamie," she rolled her eyes. He glared at her for a moment before answering.
"Dad surprised mum with a week away. They left this morning," his tone was much less excited.
"I suppose they will be back in time for my birthday?"
"Of course."
"Well, I've got some things to do then," she smirked and began walking out. They followed.
"What's going through that mind, Red," Sirius smirked at her.
"Wouldn't you like to know," she winked at him.
"I certainly would," James protested as they walked with her to the parlor.
"You'll be happy about it. I think Lily needs to come over sooner," she smirked and picked up the one phone they had in the house. Sirius and James took seats and watched her dial the phone. She stood silent with it to her ear for a moment.
"Hi, Mrs. Evans, it's Lexi, can I talk to Lily," she said in a sickly sweet voice. James was staring out the window but Sirius' eyes were locked to her. She winked at him.
"Is Sirius alright?" Lexi heard Lily's frantic voice on the phone. She had called Lily the day after he arrived to tell her what had happened.
"Yes, he's fine-"
"Then did you have a you know, dream?"
"Everything is fine, Lil," Lexi laughed. "You just need to convince your parents to let you come over starting today," Lexi smiled as she spoke.
"Why, I'll be there in a week."
"We've got the house to ourselves, come one, this rarely happens," Lexi whined to her, making James and Sirius laugh.
"Fine, I'll call you back."
"Lie your arse off, Lil," she grinned and clicked the receiver.
"So," James looked at her expectantly.
"Now we wait," she said, flopping into an armchair.
"This is gonna drive me bonkers. I'm going to go fly. Let me know what happens," James groaned and left the room. She shot Sirius a sly smile once his footsteps had faded.
"Want to tell me what you were actually thinking earlier," he smirked at her. She stood and walked over to his chair and leaned down supporting herself on the arms.
"I was wondering how the bike was going," she purred and he felt his throat go dry.
"It's almost done," he managed.
"You've just made me start wondering about how it would feel," she said breathlessly lowering her face closer to his. She brought one leg up next to his as if she was going to straddle him. His hand instinctively moved to her thigh, caressing her soft skin.
"I'll try to be quick," he said breathlessly. He could feel his heart pounding. He almost expected to wake up at some point. Obviously he had dreams like this but with how they were he thought it would take longer to be here. She leaned down and lightly traced her lips along his jaw to his ear.
"I don't mean the bike," she purred. He let out a moan as he squeezed her thigh. The phone began to ring. She stood quickly and his hand fell away.
"Hello," she answered the phone smirking at him. She propped herself up against the table. He was trying to take the time to compose himself but he realized he had one problem getting harder to hide. She wasn't helping. As she spoke to Lily she was slowly moving the hem of her skirt up with her index finger
"I'm packing now, they are going to drop me off at the Leaky Cauldron so I can floo," Lily's voice said.
"So see you in like two hours?"
"Yup," the phone clicked and Lexi set it down and let her skirt fall back.
"I think we can fill two hours," Sirius smirked at her. She looked down at his lap and her lips twitched.
"James will get suspicious," she grinned heading for the door. He got up quickly and grabbed her arm, spinning her back into him.
"He's busy," he tried while grabbing her arse again. She bit her lip and looked up at him through her thick eyelashes.
"I have a plan, Black, don't worry," she winked and strutted out of the room.

"Bloody hell, Padfoot," James beamed as Sirius parked the bike back in the drive after doing a lap down the long driveway and back.
"Great isn't it," Sirius grinned wolfishly.
"Only took you a day to fix, impressive."
"Well, I told Lexi I'd take her for a ride."
"You better do it before mum and dad get back," James laughed.
"That was the plan, hence the motivation," Sirius chuckled, as they made their way inside.
"She'll love it," James chuckled. "Just be careful. I don't want to have to explain that one."
"I will mate," he beamed, clapping James on the shoulder. "Are they in the studio?"
"Where else would they be," James rolled his eyes.
"We should pop down," Sirius smirked.
"What else is there to do," James ruffled his hair as they made their way down the hall to the door leading down to the studio. The sound of an upbeat song being played on a piano could be heard getting louder as they made his way down the stairs.
"Boys," Lexi smiled as they walked in.
"How's it going in here," James grinned as they took seats.
"It's going," Lexi sighed.
"Don't lie, I'm blocking the creative flow," Lily giggled.
"You're not I'm just stuck," Lexi rolled her eyes.
"You and Sirius work better together on this stuff," Lily gave Lexi a sly smile. Lexi smirked back.
"They are bloody brilliant when they put their minds together on tracks," James said encouragingly.
"Potter, Lexi keeps telling me you have a library but I've yet to see it. She kept me from it at Christmas last year. Why don't you show me," she asked with a grin.
"Uh, yeah, c'mon," he grinned dopily and led her out.
"Your girl's a strong wing woman," Sirius said, moving to stand in the dorm frame.
"She's the best, well, next to me," she winked, openly checking out his muscular frame in a white t-shirt and jeans.
"What were you playing," he asked, moving to sit on the bench next to her.
"It's called 'Heaven.' I've been working on it for a while but I just can't seem to get it just right," he chuckled, hearing the frustration in her voice.
"Play what you have. Maybe you just need a fresh set of ears."
"Are you sure? I figured you'd have other plans once you got me alone with James preoccupied," she grinned wickedly.
"I know you, if this is on your mind you won't focus. And I want your undivided attention when I get to you," Sirius smirked. "So, for now, pet," he winked at her, "what have you got?" She began to play the song again singing this time. He listened and even closed his eyes at one point trying to pinpoint what could add to the song. She finished and he nodded silently.
"So," she asked hesitantly.
"What if I played it? You could mess around with a few things to see what you like. I think adding some back beat in and maybe something else like a tambourine?" It was her turn to nod slowly and silently thinking of what to do.
"Alright, I have an idea. Do you need me to play over it with you or-"
"It this it," he smirked pointing at the music on the stand.
"Yeah."
"I've heard you play it and with it in front of me I'll be fine," he chuckled. She rolled her eyes with a smile and got up from the bench. She grabbed a beat mixer and an egg-shaker. She sat back next to him after plugging up the mixer.
"Alright. Let's see what we can do," she grinned as he began to play the song flawlessly. They worked on the song for a while before they had it nailed down.
"So do you like it," Sirius asked with a smile as they finished going through it again.
"It's exactly what I wanted. Thanks," she smiled at him.
"Are you sure it's out of your head," he asked his smile turning into a wicked grin. His eyes were slowly growing darker.
"Yes," she said breathlessly. He took her cheek in his hand and crashed his lips onto hers. She kissed him back hungrily. She sucked on his bottom lip, his mouth opened and their tongues began to dance. She had barely noticed moving with him on the bench to straddle him. She felt him grind her hips into his and moaned. She started kissing along his jaw to his neck and scraped her teeth along the soft skin. They heard footsteps and Lexi quickly removed herself from his lap and began adjusting her clothes. Sirius spun so his lap was hidden by the piano.
"Well she's lost in the books," James complained entering the studio.
"Sorry, Prongs," Sirius grinned wolfishly at Lexi.
"Jamie you have to hear this," Lexi beamed.
"It better be good if I had to deal with that," James rolled his eyes pointing at the ceiling and dropping onto the couch.
"She can get a little intense about books," Lexi giggled.
"Just play the damn song," he grumbled. Lexi laughed as she moved in front of a mic. Sirius adjusted the mic in front of him and set the best mixer on top of the piano. Then he began playing and she began singing holding the egg shaker in her hand.
"L:Lately I've been chasing daylight, cause I don't wanna go I don't wanna go without you. Think I loved you in another life. Even in the dark, even when it's cold you stay true-Even. Even hell would feel like heaven. Even hell would feel like heaven. Even hell would feel like heaven with you. So what can I do?" Sirius hit a button on the mixer and snapping began to play with the song as he picked up his pace on the piano. "So what can I do?...It feels like heaven with you." She smiled and began adding in the shaker. "I know that I don't always treat you right," Sirius added soft vocals with her smiling himself. "But I need you to know, I need you to know, I've been bruised," She continued alone again. "Got these demons that I try to hide. B: I don't wanna go facing them alone without you. Even. Even hell would feel like heaven. Even hell would feel like heaven. Even hell would feel like heaven with you. So what can I do? Even, even. Even hell would feel like heaven, heaven. Even hell would feel like heaven, heaven. Even hell would feel like heaven with you. So what can I do? L: So what can I do? It feels like heaven with you. B: It feels like heaven with you. It feels like heaven with you. It feels like heaven with you. L: It feels like heaven, with you, It feels like heaven with you, It feels like heaven with you." They stopped playing and were still smiling as usual. She looked over at James and raised an eyebrow.
"Alright," James grinned at them. "That was brilliant." Sirius and Lexi high fived. He watched as she beamed. He wanted to always be a part of what made her smile like that.

The next few days were filled with time in the studio, Quidditch, and goofing off with Lily. Sirius and Lexi had done more duets and Sirius had started playing music for her doing live sessions which were turning out great. They hadn't been able to get much more alone time though. They kept having short snog sessions whenever it was a possibility. It was now a few days before Mr. and Mrs. Potter were due back.
"Good Morning," Lily threw a pillow at Lexi.
"No, Lil," Lexi grumbled, pulling the blankets over her head.
"Come on, it's ten o'clock. It's not early," Lily laughed, rolling her eyes and starting to go to the bathroom. "When I get out of the shower you have to get up," she said before slipping through the door. Lexi groaned and sat up stretching. She made her way over to her vanity and started brushing her hair. Lexi saw her door creep open in the Mirror and Sirius walk in.
"Good timing," he smirked seeing her alone.
"Lily's in the shower," she grinned standing up. He openly looked her up and down taking in her curvy form. She was barely covered in a tank top and shorts. He moved to her and kissed her roughly. She kissed back, tangling her fingers in his hair. His hands drifted to her arse and lifted. She wrapped his legs around his waist and he pushed her up against the wall. She let out a moan as her back hit the wall.
"You're bloody hot, Lex," he groaned as she began kissing and sucking on his neck. One of his hands found its way to her hair and forced her lips back to his. He carried her over and sat on the sofa with her straddling him. She pushed her hips down making them both moan. He slid his hands up her shirt and slowly made his way to her breasts. She gasped into the kiss as he began massaging her breast. He made his way to kiss her neck and her head fell back. She felt his lips leave but gasped again when she felt him bite one of her breasts lightly over her shirt.
"Fuck, Sirius," she moaned and he smirked at her. He was taking in every part of her he could. She ran her hands up his shirt and he helped her pull it off of him. She raked her nails down his chest and ran a finger along the edge of his waistband.
"Really," they heard Lily's voice and froze. Lexi looked over at her friend who was blushing some and had her arms crossed.
"I didn't hear the shower shut off," Lexi said sheepishly.
"Clearly," Lily sighed with a grin. "You're lucky it's me who caught you."
"You're a goddess, Lil," Lexi smirked, climbing off of Sirius' lap.
"You know I have your back, but you two better be careful. If James had-"
"Yeah, yeah, he'd have decked me," Sirius smirked at Lily pulling his shirt back on. "I know, hence the sneaking," he winked at Lexi.
"I'm just saying," Lily laughed and headed to the vanity to brush her wet hair. "I can deal with him long enough for you two to get away, but I'm not going to deal with him forever."
"You're the best Evans," Sirius smiled at her.
"Just remember that, Black," she laughed again.
"I'll see you later," Lexi smiled at him and headed for the bathroom door but he caught her hand.
"Meet me out front at noon," he grinned.
"Alright," she said and he left.
"Seriously though," Lily giggled when he had left.
"Shut it, it's fun," Lexi laughed and headed into her bathroom.
At noon Lily headed off to find James and distract him so Lexi could head out to the front to meet Sirius. She stepped out to see his motorbike pulled up to the base of the steps.
"I made a deal with you," she heard his voice behind her.
"Finally," she smirked. He glanced back at the house before grabbing her by the waist and snogging her. They broke and she smirked at him. "Addicted now, Black," she teased.
"More than you realize," he winked. He handed her the second helmet sitting on the bike. He pulled on his, as she put hers on. "Just hold tight to me, alright?" Lexi nodded. He got on the bike and helped her on, he told her where to put her feet. He started it making it roar. She was smiling widely, her anxiousness building. He kicked up the bar and revved the engine. She wrapped her arms around his torso tightly. He was thankful she couldn't see him smiling like an idiot at the moment. He kicked up his feet and took off down the drive. He chuckled as he heard her squeal. Lexi watched the scenery pass quickly. She could see why he liked this. It was more exhilarating than a broom. They were coming up on the gates of the grounds. He slowed down and they opened.
"Where are we going," she asked him loudly over the noise.
"Just hold on," was what she heard. They started going again, she squeezed her grip on his torso tighter and he sped up launching them down the main road. He slowed again as they approached the turn for the town several minutes later. He turned the bike around and sped back off the way they had come. Once back on the driveway he sped towards a path on the grounds that led to a lake on the edge of the woods. He slowed as they reached it. He got off the bike taking off his helmet. Lexi stayed seated on the bike but removed her helmet as well.
"So, do I win," he smirked.
"I don't know if I want to admit that to you," she laughed. She had slid forward holding the handles in awe of it.
"I could get used to you being on that, Red," he smirked looking over tan legs wrapped on the sides of the bike. He held a handle as she climbed off standing very close to him with a smirk of her own. She was looking up at him from under her thick eyelashes and placed a hand on his chest.
"I could get used to being on it," she purred letting her hand drift to just before his waistband.
"Are you actually talking about the bike this time?"
"Maybe," she purred. He kissed her again. She smirked with a mischievous look in her eye before pulling him along closer to the lake

"Merlin," Lily gasped as they sat in Lexi's room sharing a bottle of wine they had snagged from the kitchen. "You two...I mean I'm not shocked," she giggled.
"It was bloody amazing," Lexi smirked. "I mean he is good."
"I don't need details," Lily laughed.
"Are you sure because, damn," Lexi giggled as well.
"Merlin," Lily smiled, "but now I'm going to ask you a difficult question," Lily sighed. "Are you guys actually together?"
"We've decided to just see where things go. Have some fun, see what happens," Lexi shrugged.
"And if he decided to say snog or shag someone else," Lily asked her.
"Then I know he really has been after a shag this whole time."
"I just don't want to see you hurt," Lily squeezed her friend's hand.
"I know, Lil."

"Happy Birthday," Lily yelled at Lexi to wake her up.
"Ugh, Lil, you get that it is summer right," she groaned pulling the blanket over her head. She was very hungover. The four had stayed up late drinking and playing games all night.
"But it's your birthday," Lily said excitedly. "I'm going to shower, you go open your presents."
Lexi groaned and pulled herself out of bed. She moved over to her vanity where there was a stack of presents. She began opening them. There was a new journal from James, a new quill set from Remus, a book on muggle music from Lily, and a new pair of recording headphones from her godparents. She looked over everything, slightly surprised and disappointed to not see anything from Sirius. Then again, he had had a rough few weeks. She was just thankful he was alive. The bathroom door opened and Lily walked out in a towel.
"Good, your turn," she grinned.
"Thanks for the book, Lil," Lexi chuckled, walking past her into the bathroom. Lexi showered and dressed in a red tank top and black jean shorts. She slipped on black sandals and did her make up. She left her hair down, hanging damp to her shoulders.
"Breakfast," Lily asked as they left the room.
"I figured we could go for a walk after," Lexi smiled.
"Sounds good, Birthday girl," Lily laughed.
"Happy Birthday," she was greeted by her godparents as she walked into the kitchen with Lily. A full breakfast spread was ready on the table with her favorites. Elana was putting the finishing touches on when the boys entered.
"Happy birthday," James grinned. "You're finally as old as the rest of us," he teased.
"Alexandra Renee," Elana chidded without looking. Lexi had been giving James the finger.
"Sorry, Auntie," she said sweetly. She gave James a look that made Harold laugh.
"You're no help Harold," Mrs. Potter grinned as she sat with them all at the table.
"Did you two enjoy your trip," Lexi asked. Elana went into talking about their week away. Once the conversations changed Sirius caught her eye.
"Happy birthday," he mouthed to her and she mouthed a 'thanks,' back.
"We were shocked to see Lily here already this morning," Harold eyed James and Lexi as he spoke.
"Well her parents said it was okay and-/There wasn't really any harm, she's more responsible-" they started over lapping each other until Harold held up a hand.
"I don't want to hear it," he sighed at them with a smile.
"We love having her here, but next time let us talk to her parents," Elana chuckled at them.
"Yes ma'am," Lexi and James said in unison but shared a smile. Once breakfast was done James and Sirius followed the girls to the back patio.
"What are you two planning," Sirius asked.
"I wanted a peaceful walk," Lexi smirked.
"Well you have fun then," James smiled, starting to pull Sirius inside.
"What are you up to," she asked suspiciously.
"Nothing, Red," Sirius winked and they walked back into the house.
"Are you in on this too," Lexi eyed Lily.
"I don't know what you're talking about," Lily smiled and pulled her along laughing. They were looping back to the house a while later when they saw the boys on the ballroom balcony.
"Oi, Red," Sirius yelled.
"Come up to the ballroom," James yelled as well. Lexi and Lily laughed making their way back into the house and to the Ballroom.
"What is this," she smirked, seeing mics, a guitar, piano, and a few percussion instruments set up. There was a small board they had been using for their live sessions.
"We figured we could do a full live session recording," Sirius grinned. Lexi smiled.
"This is going to be fun," she moved over to the mic as James and Sirius took their places. Sirius sat on a stool with his guitar, James sat on a Cajon and shifted a symbol closer.
"I also nicked my mum's video recorder," Lily grinned pulling a bag out and pulling an odd device out.
"What's it do?" Sirius asked skeptically.
"Just have fun and do your stuff. I'll show you at the end," Lily laughed. Lexi smirked having seen the thing already when she went to Lily's one summer.
"Let's do, Bad Guy, first."
"As you wish," Sirius grinned, tweaking the board he counted them in, hit record, and began playing.
"White shirt-now red, my bloody nose-Sleeping, you're on your tippy toes-Creeping, around like no one knows. I Think you're so criminal. Bruises, on both my knees for you-Don't say thank you or please-I do what I want when I'm wanting to-My soul? So cynical." Lexi danced at the mic smiling over at Sirius. James started adding in percussion. Lily circled them with the camera. "So you're a tough guy-Like it really rough guy-Just can't get enough guy-Chest always so puffed guy. I'm that bad type-Make your mama sad type-Make your girlfriend mad type-Might seduce your dad type. I'm the bad guy." She smirked at the camera as she trailed the note. "I'm the bad guy. I like it when you take control-Even if you know that you don't-Own me, I'll let you play the role-I'll be your animal. My mommy likes to sing along with me. But she won't sing this song-If she reads all the lyrics-She'll pity the men I know." She sang luder getting more into the song. "So you're a tough guy-Like it really rough guy- Just can't get enough guy-Chest always so puffed guy. I'm that bad type-Make your mama sad type-Make your girlfriend mad type-Might seduce your dad type. I'm the bad guy." Sirius watched her with a grin as she sang and danced, always impressed with how amazing she was. "I'm only good at being bad, bad…" She winked at the camera as the song ended.
Lily showed them the video blowing the boys minds. They did several more songs before they just sat on the floor talking.
After dinner the teens made their way to the studio. Sirius pulled out a bottle of fire whiskey from behind a speaker when they arrived. James pulled out four shot glasses from deep within a cabinet.
"Do you just use my studio for a contraband hiding hole," Lexi scoffed, trying to fight the smile tugging her lips.
"Not just, but it's a good spot," James laughed as he pouted shots. "Sixteen," he raised his shot. The others followed and they drank in unison.
"Sixth year. More free time," Sirius grinned.
"The homework's going to be a lot more intense. We're N.E.W.T. students now," Lily said anxiously.
"Shot Evans," Lexi groaned, making James and Sirius laugh.
"Fine," Lily sighed, taking another shot. This had been a theme over the week, any time Lily mentioned school work Lexi made her take a shot. No matter the time of day.
"A year from today we will all be adults," James grinned.
"You an adult, Potter, that's a scary thought," Lily laughed.
"Cold blooded," Lexi cheered high fiving her best friend. James looked mock hurt while Sirius barked with laughter. Their banter and conversation continued late into the night. Sirius was continuously stealing glances and sharing looks with Lexi. Lily was the first to head to bed, followed shortly after by James. Lexi and Sirius were sitting across from each other. She was on the couch, her long legs tucked up next to her. He was lounging back in the armchair.
"I have something for you," Sirius said, moving to sit with her and reaching into his pocket. He pulled out a small flat square box and handed it to her. She took it from him and took the top off. It was a small silver chain necklace with a Lion charm on it. "Happy birthday," he said quietly. She smiled at him.
"Thank you," she pulled it out of the box. He then took the necklace from her hands and put it around her neck. "How's it look," she asked, turning back to him.
"Beautiful," he said, not taking his eyes off of hers. She couldn't think of what to say so she leaned in and kissed him. The kiss deepened and she climbed into his lap. His fingers slid up the smooth skin on her legs up to her ass. He squeezed as he pulled her hips into his.
"Sirius," she gasped breathlessly as he began kissing her neck and running his hands under her shirt. She tangled her fingers into his hair and pulled him back from her smirking. "We should get to bed."
"Is that an offer to move," he grinned trying to move back to her neck but she tightened her grip in his hair. "Keep doing that, Red and I'm really not going to want to stop," he smirked.
"Mmm, we can't tonight," she sighed letting go of his hair. "I might pass out in your bed. Then James would catch us for sure." she winked at him and started climbing out of his lap. He caught one of her legs.
"I wouldn't mind," Sirius wagged his eyebrows at her and kissed the inside of her thigh.
"You say that now," she teased as she pulled her leg away. She then pulled him up and they left the studio.
"Why do you have to be right," he sighed, taking her hand as they walked. She looked down trying to hide her smile. They were quiet for a while as they climbed the stairs to the third floor.
"Did you know about what happened at the end of term. Between me and-"
"Filroy? Yes," Lexi smirked.
"Oh," he said quietly. "All of it?"
"Yes." They stopped in their hall.
"Lex-"
"I don't need an explanation, Black," she shook her head with a smile. "I'm not your girlfriend. I know that. Thank you again for the necklace," she pushed herself up on her toes and kissed him on the cheek. "Goodnight," she winked and went into her room. His brow furrowed when her door shut. She's right. They had basically agreed that they were just shagging. So how would things change once they were back at school? He shook his head not wanting to think about it yet. They still had a month left. He'd make the most of it if he had to.

The next few days were rainy leaving the teens to find things to do in the house. They had spent most of their time lounging in the sitting room or parlor. Lexi had finished her sample album and was taking a break from time in the studio. It was mid afternoon and the four were sitting in the parlor. Lexi and Lily were looking through magazines while James and Sirius played chess. Lily looked out the window and screamed. The other three jumped and looked. There were four owls flying towards the window. Mr. And Mrs. Potter came running into the room.
"Lily saw the mail," James laughed opening the window. The four owls swooped in. There were two envelopes on each owl. Lexi took her letters and set the usual Hogwarts letter aside. She wanted to see her results first. She noticed the other three were opening theirs and she ripped it open. She unfolded it and scanned over the grades. She had received an 'outstanding' in every subject except Divination and History of Magic in which she got an 'exceeds expectations.'
"Yes, we're moving on in Auror studies," Sirius cheered high fiving James.
"What'd you get Lex," James asked, snatching her results. "Nine 'O's' and two 'E's,' of course," James teased.
"Lil, what do you got," Lexi asked with a smile. Lily didn't answer at first. Sirius snatched her letter, she scrambled to get it back.
"Twelve 'O's.' Blimey Evans. And Outstanding in every subject," Sirius raised his eyebrows.
"Well done, I'll get us a big dinner ready to celebrate tonight," Mrs. Potter beamed.
"I'll get the recordings off to Brunner tomorrow," Mr. Potter smiled at Lexi and followed his wife.
"Guess we need to see what classes we need books for," Lexi smiled at the group as they opened their school letters. There was a clunking noise making Sirius, Lexi, and Lily look at James. At his feet was a shiny badge with the Gryffindor crest and a C on it.
"No way," James beamed, picking it up.
"You're Quidditch Captain," Sirius grinned, clapping him on the back.
"Congrats Jamie," Lexi smiled.
"Who else would it have been, Potter," Lily teased. James winked at her, making her blush.

"Are you sure you don't want us to come along," Mrs. Potter eyed the teens warily as they stood in the parlor.
"It's just Diagon Alley, Mum," James rolled his eyes.
"Just be careful, stay in pairs," Mr. Potter warned as he hugged James and Lexi.
"We will," Lexi confirmed.
"And be home by six," Elana added as they began taking turns flooing to the Leaky Cauldron.
"Merlin, she worries a lot," Lexi complained as they four made their way to the back of the pub.
"There was another attack in the paper a week ago," Lily defended.
"It's Diagon Alley though, someone would be daft to attack," Sirius chuckled.
"Alright," James said as they stepped into the busy street of shops. "Dad said stay in pairs," James got a wicked grin on his face.
"So Lexi and I will see you both later," Lily rolled her eyes and started pulling Lexi away from them.
"C'mon Lil, starting to get sick of James," Lexi giggled as she stepped into pace with Lily.
"You aren't ditching me to sneak a shag today," Lily laughed.
"I wasn't planning on it," Lexi rolled her eyes with a smirk.
"What did I do," James looked dumbfounded at Sirius as the girls walked away.
"I just think they want some girl time, Prongs," Sirius chuckled and started steering James off.
"They get plenty of it, like the other night when they got wine drunk," James smirked. "Evans, really is something else." Lily had stumbled to the parlor where he and Sirius had been sitting playing wizards chess. She had challenged him to a game. Like a good wingman Sirius had left the two alone. They had ended up talking late into the night until he had helped her back to Lexi's door.
"She ended up hanging out with you all night," Sirius chuckled. "I'm sure, Red wasn't too thrilled." Sirius knew for a fact she didn't care. James thought he had left to give him time with Lily, but in reality he had slipped off to find Lexi. She hadn't been in her room when he checked, so he had gotten a suspicion to check his room. She had been waiting on him in his bed wearing a bra and panties. Her robe was discarded on the floor.
"Lex can't care that much, she knows how I feel," James shrugged as they walked into the Apothecary.
"She's still Lily's best friend, birds are weird about that," Sirius said as they began grabbing the needed supplies.
"What, do you know everything about her now," James teased.
"What are you on about," Sirius rolled his eyes as they walked to pay.
"You two have been together a lot lately," James raised his eyebrows at his friend.
"Only because we've been trying to push you and Lily at each other," Sirius chuckled.
"I figured it's because you were trying to make your move," James said as they started making their way to the next store.
"I don't want to push my luck," Sirius shrugged. It still felt so strange to lie to James, but he had seen how James got with guys when it came to his 'little sister.'

"Don't you think it's a little long," Lexi complained looking at the skirt she was trying on.
"That is the regulated length for Hogwarts, dear," Madame Malkin smiled kindly at her before tittering off to greet new customers.
"Bloody regulation," Lexi rolled her eyes as she headed back to the changing room.
"Not like you'll just change the length when we get to school," Lily laughed as she stood outside of Lexi's stall.
"I guess you have a point."
"Though I wish you wouldn't," Lily tried. The curtain pulled open and Lexi dramatically rolled her eyes.
"Gonna give me detention, Evans," she challenged with a grin.
"Shut it, you know I wouldn't," Lily giggled as they paid and left the store.
"Though McGonagall I'm sure wonders how it's never the Gryffindor Prefects reporting the most troublesome students," Lexi smirked.
"She pulled us all into a meeting last year," Lily laughed.

Lexi and Lily were laughing as they walked into the kitchen the morning they were leaving for school. Sirius grinned at her as she sat across from him. Her wavy auburn hair was down. She had on a black v-neck t-shirt and leather jacket. Her curvy long legs were in tight ripped-up jeans. She was wearing all white chunky low top shoes. He noticed the necklace he gave her around her neck. Lexi continued talking to Lily but gave him a small wink. He was wearing jeans, a black T-shirt and leather jacket as well. She was mentally laughing at their accidental matching.
"Evans, I'm liking the outfit," James smirked once his parents left the room after giving them a ten minute warning. Lily was wearing tight jeans and a scoop neck tight blouse. Her hair was pulled up in a high straight ponytail.
"Because I was so worried about you liking it," she rolled her eyes. Lexi choked on her pumpkin juice. Lily shot her a look before leaving for the foyer.
"What was that about," James smirked.
"Nothing," she smiled knowing full well Lily had worried about it and left as well.
"Women," Sirius chuckled as he and James followed.

"I'll see you after the meeting," Lily said after unloading her things in the compartment with them.
"Bring Rem with you," Lexi grinned.
"Well, duh," she laughed before leaving.
"So what shenanigans do you have planned for this year," Lexi smirked at the two Marauders.
"Ah, there's no fun in telling, Red," Sirius chuckled.
"Oh come on," she whined.
"Not telling, Lex," James laughed.
"Since when do I get excluded from the Marauder fun," she rolled her eyes at them.
"Since you're two best friends are Prefects," Sirius teased.
"One of them is yours," she laughed.
"You should perform together at the next party," James said to them suddenly.
"I don't see why not," Sirius smirked. "Red?"
"I think we could handle it," she chuckled.
"Given any more thought to the quidditch team," James smirked at Lexi.
"I'm not sure Jamie," she sighed. "Especially with you as Captain," she laughed. A while later James looked at his watch.
"I'm going to see if I can find Moony and Evans. Maybe I can find Wormtail on the way," he groaned as he stretched and then left the compartment. Lexi stood up reaching into her bag and pulling out her uniform. Sirius watched her shirt raise up as she reached. His eyes drifted down to her ass. He didn't notice when she looked at him.
"Enjoying yourself," she had an amused look on her face.
"Yeah, actually," he smirked, standing up and wrapping his arms around her hips. She laughed, wrapping her arms around his shoulders.
"You just can't keep your hands to yourself," she shook her head.
"It's hard to," he teased.
"Try," she smirked and locked the compartment door and closed the blinds. She kicked her shoes off and shoved his chest slightly urging him to sit. Once he had she smirked and began shimming out of her jeans. He watched her hungrily as she stripped down to matching black lacy bra and panties. She slowly pulled on her skirt. She then did the buttons of her shirt slowly. Once she was dressed again he pulled her into his lap.
"You're too much," he growled into her ear as he pulled her hair.
"You have to admit you had fun," she smirked. He pulled her lips to his kissing her roughly.
"I'm going to ravish you when I get my hands on you next pet," he breathed into her ear. She instantly felt excited. "You should unlock the door," he murmured, placing light kisses on her neck. She nodded feeling intoxicated by him. She unlocked the door and sat across from him again. She smirked at him for a moment before spreading her legs for him to see up her skirt.
"I know you like the risk," she smirked and began running her hands up her thighs pulling her skirt up as she went.
"Bloody hell," he groaned watching her. Suddenly the door started sliding open. She adjusted her skirt quickly and picked her journal up again. Sirius tried nonchalantly adjusting as James, Remus, and Lily entered.
"Why are the blinds down," James asked suspiciously.
"I changed," Lexi rolled her eyes at him.
"Alone I hope," he mumbled.
"Yes, James, Merlin," she huffed.
"Speaking of now that you lot are back, I should go do the same," Sirius clapped his hands and grabbed his bag to head out.
"I'll come too," James said, grabbing his bag. Sirius shot Lexi a nervous look before the two left.
"Behaving I hope," Lily smirked as Lexi shoved her clothes into her bag after hugging Remus.
"Why wouldn't we be," Lexi smirked.
"Oh, I don't know," Lily said sarcastically.
"What am I missing," Remus chuckled.
"Sirius and Lexi have been shagging," Lily spilled, making Lexi blush.
"What," Remus exclaimed in shock.
"It's not a big deal," Lexi rolled her eyes.
"Yes it is," Remus argued.
"Look, it's just fun. We've talked about it. We don't know what it is yet, but we are attracted to each other so why not," Lexi shrugged.
"Just...be careful," Remus sighed, shaking his head. The sun had set when the boys returned.
"Did you get lost," Remus chuckled as they took their seats.
"We found Wormtail," James chuckled.
"And Snivellus," Sirius smirked. Lily let out a harsh sigh.
"So, what was Peter up to," Lexi asked, changing the subject.
"Uh, he was with a few Hufflepuffs playing exploding snaps," Sirius explained quickly realizing his mistake. The conversation continued for another hour or so before the train began to slow. Lily and Remus grabbed their things and headed off for Prefect duties. The other three found Peter and got into a carriage. Sirius watched the red-head look out the window of the carriage quietly as she played with her necklace. A smile tugged at his lips. They got out and left their things in the Entrance Hall.
"Sitting with us," James asked Lexi.
"Yeah," she grinned as they took seats at the Gryffindor table. Sirius sat across from her next to Peter while James sat next to her. Lily and Remus rejoined them right before the first years entered. They listened to the sorting hat warn them of the need for house unity and dark times ahead. The sorting began after.
"What do you think it means," Lily asked the group.
"It's just a hat," Peter grumbled.
"A hat that sits in Dumbledore's office day after day," Lexi added quietly.
"You think it's heard something," Sirius asked her.
"I mean, how could it not," Lily shrugged.
"Dumbledore and the Minister talk," James sighed.
"Clearly something has been going on," Remus agreed. "There were two more attacks over the summer."
"I haven't had any visions since I got Occlumency down last year," Lexi shook her head as they all looked at her. Lily's look lingered longer than the others. Lexi gave her a small glare before turning back to watch the sorting. The last of the first years were sorted and the Headmaster rose.
"Eat up," he smiled and the feast appeared. The six students enjoyed the feast happily. When it ended Dumbledore stood again. "Good evening, welcome to our new students. Welcome back to our returning ones," his eyes twinkled as he looked over the students. He gave them the usual speech about banned items and rules. Lastly he gave them a warning of being cautious with the strange events happening in their world lately. When he dismissed the students Lily and Remus took off to help round up students to their dorms.
"Even Dumbledore is giving a warning," Sirius said warily.
"Something big is happening," Lexi sighed. At that moment she saw the image flash in her head. It was Hogsmeade, burning. An emerald skull hovered over the town, a snake emerging from its mouth.
