"What are we doing here?"

Fitz parked and didn't answer Olivia's question. It was a Friday night, and it was time for the big weekly reward. He told Olivia they were going to a restaurant for dinner. He didn't say what restaurant. She was getting better at letting him take control. He knew that was because of the pregnancy. She was exhausted and taking a leave of absence from work after the fall. She could sleep longer if she didn't have to take Karen to school.

"We're having your party here mom!"

"No."

Fitz didn't have to say anything. He knew Karen would have a massive tantrum if they didn't go in Chuck E Cheese. He planned everything perfectly. She would be disappointing Karen if she stayed in the car.

"We have to go play at your party!"

"Fitz, I'm really upset with you."

Olivia let Karen lead the way. She pulled her hand and stopped at the entrance. The attendant stamped their hands. Fitz led them to a table and flagged one of the employees. He let her know they had a party reservation for Olivia Pope. It was like a casino without alcohol. Olivia tried to smile for Karen. A few minutes later, several of the employees and a giant mouse came to their table.

"Yay Olivia gets a party for being a good girl!" They all yelled at Karen while they clapped.

"I'm not mom. I'm Karen!" She yelled back at them.

"Oh, sorry." One of the employees said."

They all turned to Olivia and clapped. The mouse leaned down and wrapped his arm around Olivia's shoulder. A camera flashed a few times.

"Smile Olivia. We need a good picture for our party wall!"

The mouse held out his hand for a high five. Another employee handed Olivia a large cup full of tokens. Olivia wouldn't take the cup. Karen grabbed it.

"What are we celebrating?"

"It's Olivia's good behavior party." Fitz said.

"Congratulations Olivia. Here's a bag of treats for you!"

It was the noise, bright lights and the mouse throwing tickets like confetti that made Olivia lose it.

"I'm done Fitz!"

"What's wrong Livvie?"

"We can co-parent! No more of these stupid surprises!"

Fitz smiled. "Thank you."

"Can I have your tokens mom?"

"Yes."

Fitz was still smiling when he kissed Olivia's forehead. The employees left the table. Karen frantically grabbed all the scattered tickets and the cup of coins before leaving the table.
