As soon as the lights were turned off, Veruca had already known that the games were soon about to begin. The way that the lights were turned off all around her almost made her jump,but, luckily she was able to hold purple Tattletail close to her chest.
Veruca turned and looked both ways wondering what to do as her heart started beating so hard. She could hear it beating through her chest. She had almost forgotten that she still had her flashlight with her, so , she grabbed the flashlight shook it until it was able to show a light. Maybe it could help her see to where she was going
"Okay Veruca, calm down, you just need to get back inside.",said Veruca calmly. She tried to reach the doorway which connected the backyard and the inside of the house. It seemed like forever she was quietly walking before she was able to get inside.
The lights had turned back on. That made Veruca sigh in relief as purple Tattletail started giggling happily. Veruca smiled, because this was her first time surviving hide and seek...not knowing she has to do it again...
