Chapter 22nd

It was getting humid further along with the temperature inside the jungle. They were lucky not to run into any monkeys or any hostile animals. Kowalski and Sharkey were getting frustrated for the most part.

However for their enemy. Two scouts were up high in the trees for which they are able to see them with the Army Jumpers. They were talking softly to the command staff on what to do with the two from the Seaview.

"Lt. Jenkins continued to watch the two. Do not shoot them with the laser weapons until later." General Norton advising them from the carrier Enterprise involved with the exercise. While the captain was busy with errands on the bridge with his crew two miles away from the island.

"Understood General will comply with the order." As the young officer tells the General and his mentor in a big way.

The both of them were uncomfortable as well with sitting on the thick branches and with the humidity picking up to drive them just crazy as well. Jenkins needed to grab his water canteen with having to be thirsty as hell. While they had to wait...

Meanwhile the rest of the gang from the Seaview continued with finding a small pond crystal clear. Patterson had asked on whether it was alright to cool off with removing his fatigues to leave him in his underwear revealed his trim body. He's always been trimmed from over the years. Through of late Doctor Jamieson had advised him to gain some weight as to why he was feeling tire and other symptoms during the past few weeks.

"Be careful Pat while we continued to watch the area for our targets. Robbie and Hanson had gone in as well for a few moments to cool off while Kowalski and Sharkey stood watching.

Sharkey said to Kowalski in his ear away from the others. "You do know we are being watched from up high. I believe there are two of them no doubt are watching us and sending back reports to the commanding officer in charge of the exercise. When our guys are done cooling off. We need to see if we can spot them and take them as hostages." Sharkey will say with his keen sense...

Twenty minutes later...

Patterson and Hanson having to be experts in climbing. They were able to find the right spot to climb with the long branches heavy to be able to hold them. Patterson with his eyes was able to notice the two facing the other way as if they were asleep.

"How about I use the blowgun to knock them out and no doubt falling out of the tree to hurt them?" Hanson will say with Patterson agreeing to the idea and letting Kowalski and Sharkey know by shortwave radio.

The radioman with his shortwave radio was able to receive the message to let the two know in what Patterson and Hanson will be doing. "I just believe our luck Chief." Kowalski will have said to Sharkey needing a smoke however he had forgotten to bring them with him back at the Seaview.

Patterson being advised by Hanson that they had the permission to use the blow gun. Since he will probably only hit one while using the laser now fixed with the correct setting...

Taking a movement with using the small scope on the blowgun to make sure he will hit him. Hanson aims and fires the dart while Patterson used the laser weapon working perfecting. Both the marines had been knocked to the ground filled with the grass, dirt and rocks along with a number of insects.

Hanson and Patterson ran to their subjects to check for any life signs. The both marines were still alive and outcold. However Kowalski told them to tie them up along with placing something into their mouths so not to alert the others.

Once they were tied up and placed up against two tree stumps. Kowalski will leave veteran Ron Hanson to keep an eye out on the two. Otherwise they will start again with the search before heading back to the Seaview and night time. It wouldn't seem proper to stay the night with carrying two hostages.

"Hanson we will be back within the hour before heading back to the Seaview. Just be sure to keep them quiet as much as possible." Kowalski will give the order to Hanson while everyone else were ready to head out again with Patterson grumbling.

Moving further into the bush with Kowalski in charge. Patterson once again had a feeling of being watched. However he stopped Kowalski for a moment.

"What?" Kowalski asked with concern in his overall tone.

"I think we are being watched again and this time I have no idea where Ski." He stated with his keen sense going haywire for the moment.

"As I said we need to be careful and continue on." Kowalski will quipped with his words to have Chief Sharkey shaking his head to begin the trek again. They needed to head back and the Seaview with their two hostages to find out where the rest of them were.

Meanwhile on board the Enterprise General Norton and now the captain was worried. They haven't heard from four of his men on the island. He was going to wait another thirty minutes before breaking radio silence to contact them. Along with the fact he needed an update on the location of the submarine Seaview.

He asked the sonar and radio man to give him a location of the Seaview knowing full well they had sent a team of crewmembers to the island as part of the exercise.

Sonar man Skip Johnson age 31 replied back with giving the exact location of the Seaview having moved at all from their last position. General Norton wasn't liking this at all that Admiral Nelson currently was being cagey..."What the hell is going on? I just hope our men on that island haven't been caught in the exercise."

"I would think General our marines and Jumpers are the best in the service that can provide." The captain will say before moving away with a cup of black coffee in his hand.
