Chapter 22
Mamoru made it thru his last week in America keeping his head down, and pushing thru. Jane, Mr. Smith, and Mr. Bradcliff did in fact show up at the clinic a few times, but were denied entrance. Jane showed up daily, and caused a scene each time, leading her to be removed. He was thankful to the clinic security for keeping them all way. He was glad they never found out what hotel he was in. He would have to change his cellphone number when he got home though as the three of them had been calling almost none stop. He ended up having to email Usagi to let her know what was going on, and that he would not be able to text or video chat with her to avoid these people.
Now, thankfully, he was on a plane heading home, to his life, and to his love. He released a breath he didn't even know he was holding when he saw Tokyo International Airport in the window of the plane. He was home. He quickly got thru customs, grabbed his luggage, and went to the curb to wait for Usagi and her family to pick him up. He was surprised, and disappointed when he saw Haruka's yellow car pull up. She jumped out, grabbed his luggage, loaded into her trunk, and practically shoved him in her car.
"UM..Hi Haruka. Uh. Where is Usako?" He asked.
"You'll see." She replied. "How was your flight?"
"It was alright. Long. I am so glad to be home."
"Well we're glad to have you home."
They grew quiet, and before he knew it they were pulling up in front of Crown Arcade.
"What are we doing here?" he asked Hiruka.
"Come on. You'll see." She responded with a smile.
Confused Mamoru headed for the door. As soon as he walked in he heard a group of people yell surprise, and saw a huge banner hanging above the counter saying WELCOME HOME. Before he made it two steps further into the building something slammed into his chest. Looking down, he saw his wonderful, beautiful Usako, wrapped around him. He wrapped his arms around her waist, picked her up, and spun her around. As soon as he set her down, he kissed her with a whole year of pent up love, emotion, and separation. He was finally home. He was finally complete, and he was NEVER leaving
