Chapter: SSDD

A/N: This is it. This is the start of the best Campaigns in my opinion. Night Raid will find some missions very enjoyable while finding some very Shocking. Add to that, two members are joining. Those two are Esdeaath and Najenda. So, enjoy.

Disclaimer: I do not own Akame ga Kill and Call of Duty. They belong to their rightful owners.

It has been a month since the discovery of the Modern Warfare room and everything in the Revolutionary Army is going well. With them taking the advantages of the Imperial Military with their Modern Equipment.

Unknown to Night Raid, the Prime Minister declared an arms race to combat the arsenal of Revolutionary Army but to no avail, taking the lives with more than 100,000 lives comparing to the Revolutionary with only 2,500.

However, Najenda to realise its effectiveness and along with Esdeath, asked some Revolutionary Soldiers about them and how they got the weapons from Night Raid's HQ. Furious that they've started an arms race, they went to where they were.

Tatsumi, was fully aware about this as he saw the two who were wondering all over the base. He told them about Modern Warfare and its story as they headed to the room. While Najenda was intrigued about the Weapons, Esdeath was intrigued about the gore and violence . As the three entered the room, well, this happened.

"What the hell are they doing here?!" Mine asked as she and the others were curious and angry about the secret being discovered by Najenda and Esdeath.

"Well…I…um…" Tatsumi was about to say.

"With your discovery about this, not only you gave the Revolutionary Army an advantage, but you've also started an arms race," Najenda informed.

"WAIT, WHAT!" most of them shouted in shock.

"Holy shit!" Leone said.

"What's that?" Sheele asked.

"It's basically two powers that participate in competitive increase of weaponry," Run clarified.

"Don't worry, as long as we get to see them," Esdeath said, which earned her a sigh of relief from everyone.

As Najenda and Esdeath sat down, Run and Susanoo explained the first game. While Najenda was interested on the arsenal and tactics used, Esdeath just her sadistic smile and wanting to challenge the factions like the SAS and UMSC.

Wave got the second disc out and put it in the console and sat down with the others. There was no into to the start-up screen and Tatsumi got the controller and pressed the start button.

"What's spec ops?" Sheele asked.

"We dunno , but we could play it quite soon," Akame answered as she ate some meat.

Tatsumi pressed Campaign and the title showed Modern Warfare 2 and "For the Record."

The screen switches to the world map and recaps the whole story of Modern Warfare.

"So, from this summary, these Ultranationalist are kinda like the Revolutionary Army, am I correct?" Najenda guessed.

"Yes, but they strike fear within the civilian population." Akame answered.

"Huh, they sure have some sick sense of irony." Najenda said.

Five years later

A satellite looks over Russia, which has been under the Ultranationalists' control since their victory during the Second Russian Civil War. While so, a new voice was heard.

Shepherd: The more things change, the more they stay the same. Boundaries shift, new players step in, but power always finds a place to rest its head.

"Sounds like a General," Najenda said as she heard the tone of his voice.

A rally at the Red Square, Moscow is shown on the video screen.

Shepherd: We fought and bled alongside the Russians. We shoulda known they'd hate us for it. History is written by the victor. And here I am, thinking we'd won. But you bring down one enemy and they find someone even worse to replace him.

The Russians celebrate the unveiling of the statue of Imran Zakhaev, who was killed within the first week of the war.

"WHAT!" most of them shouted in disbelief.

"So, that thing we just did was only to give them more moral!" Mine said.

"Unbelievable." Wave agreed.

Shepherd: Locations change, the rationale, the objective. Yesterday's enemies are today's recruits. Train them to fight alongside you, and pray they don't eventually decide to hate you for it too.

Zakhaev has been labeled a martyr for his leadership and sacrifice during the war. The statue reads: Имран Захаев герой новой России, which translates to Imran Zakhaev - Hero of the New Russia.

"He's a Martyr!" Lubbock said also in disbelief.

Everyone then rants about how the mission by joint SAS/UMSC forces was just a boost of moral before looking back at the screen.

Then a new emblem appears with a star in the back, two M4s crossing and the words 'RANGERS' and a new soldier, Private First-Class Joseph Allen.

Shepherd: Same shit, different day. You know what I'm looking for Sergeant Foley. Keep your eyes open.

Foley: Got a new batch hittin' the pit today, Sir. I'll send you the best I find.

"Well, it's going to be like like the FNG. So, boss, you do want to play?" Tatsumi said.

"Um, maybe I might give it a try," Najenda answered.

The satellite soon tracks Private First-Class Joseph Allen of the U.S. Army Rangers in Fire Base Phoenix, Afghanistan.

[Day 1 - 15:30:27]

[PFC Joseph Allen]

[1st Bn., 75th Ranger Regiment]

[Fire Base Phoenix, Afghanistan]

Private First-Class Joseph Allen and Sgt. Foley are at a shooting range training Afghan local. As Sgt. Foley speaks, Pvt. Hamed translates for the locals.

Sgt. Foley: Welcome to 'Pull the Trigger 101'. Private Allen here is gonna do a quick weapons demonstration to show you locals how its done. No offense, but I see a lot of you guys firing from the hip and spraying bullets all over the range. You don't end up hitting a damn thing and it makes you look like an ass. Private Allen, show 'em what I'm talking about. Grab the weapon off the table and fire at the targets behind you.

"Huh, never thought of that," Mine said blankly.

Allen picks up the M4A1 sitting on the table.

Sgt. Foley: Turn around and fire the targets.

Allen turns around shoots the targets by firing from the hip. The player is asked if they want to invert the looking controls. But, Tatsumi advise her not to switch it.

Sgt. Foley: See what I mean? He sprayed bullets all over the damn place. You've got to pick your targets by aiming deliberately down your sights from a stable stance. Private Allen, show our friends here how the Rangers take down a target. Crouch first, then aim down your sight at the targets.

"Good advice, you'll need that for sniper training," Mine agreed.

"Wow Mine. You'll be a good instructor to new recruits," Chelsea said with a grin.

Allen hits the target with his sights aimed but still standing.

Sgt. Foley: Allen, adopt a crouching stance and aim down your sights.

When the button is shown to how to crouch, Allen aims at the target.

Sgt. Foley: That's all there is to it. You want your targets to go down? You gotta aim down your sights. Aiming down your sights also works for switching quickly between targets. Aim down your sights, then pop in and out to acquire new targets. Show 'em Private. If your target is close to where you are aiming, you can snap to it quickly by aiming down your sights.

Again, Allen aims down the sights and quickly shoots as many targets as they pop out.

Sgt. Foley: Now that's how you do it. You want to take down your targets quickly and with control. Now if your target is behind light cover, remember that certain weapons can penetrate and hit your target. The Private here will demonstrate.

Sgt. Foley: Last but not least, you need to know how to toss a frag grenade. Private Allen, pick up some frag grenades from the table.

Allen picks up four frag grenades from the table.

Sgt. Foley: Toss the grenade down range and take out several targets at once.

Allen throws a grenade at the targets to "destroy" them.

Sgt. Foley: Good. Note that frags tend to roll on sloped surfaces. So think twice before throwing one up hill. (To Allen) All right, thanks for the help, Private Allen. Now get over to The Pit... General Shepherd wants to see you run the course. (To the locals) All right, who here wants to go first? Show me what you've learned so far.

"So, we're gonna meet this Shepherd," Esdeath said. "Hope, he's a competent General."

Allen heads for the Pit. U.S. Army Rangers can be seen playing basketball, repairing an HMMWV, on guard towers, exercising, looking at a phone, and eating chocolate.

Allen enters The Pit and see another American soldier, Corporal Dunn, Foley's right-hand man, sitting on an ammo crate fiddling with a Desert Eagle.

"Huh, he looks bored," Run said.

"No, kidding."

Cpl. Dunn: Hey Private. Welcome back to The Pit. Heard General Shepherd wants to pull a shooter from our unit for some special op. Anyway he's up there in observation. Go ahead and grab a pistol.

Lubbock told her what the switch and pick-up button was and Allen picks up the Desert Eagle sitting on the table.

Cpl. Dunn: Alright, try switching to your rifle.

Allen switches back to his M4A1.

Cpl. Dunn: Good, now switch to your sidearm again.

Allen switches back to the Desert Eagle

Cpl. Dunn: See how fast that was? Remember... switching to your pistol is always faster than reloading. Well, smile for the cameras and don't miss... Shepherd's gonna be watching. Best shooter gets to join the prima donna squad... if that's your thing. Ok, head on in. Timer starts as soon as the first target pops up.

"Huh, it's just like the FNG course," Leone reminded.

Before, he could start the course, Allen looks up to see an elder man with a caterpillar moustache and a black beret, observing the course.

"So, that the Ge—" Najenda said.

Unfortunately, Najenda's mechanical arm was malfunctioning, which resulted in Allen shooting Shepherd.

"Hmm…" most of the members tried to find the words after Najenda's incident

"I…have no idea what happened" Najenda stuttered.

Then a message pops up saying, "Friendly fire will not be tolerated!"

"Wait! But that was an accident," She said. Meanwhile, Esdeath let out a chuckle of her former colleague's incident.

The screen rewinds back to Allen as he was in the front gate of the Course. And not aiming at Shepherd.

Cpl. Dunn: Timer starts as soon as the first target pops up.

Allen enters the first area and the first set of targets pop up.

Cpl. Dunn: (through the speakers) Clear the first area. Go! Go! Go!

Allen shoots the target from the hip.

Cpl. Dunn: Stop firing from the hip! Aim down your sights!

"Don't tell me what to do, Corporal!" Najenda growled in frustration as she was finding it hard.

Allen clears the first area.

Cpl. Dunn: Area cleared! Move into the building!

Allen misses some enemies.

Cpl. Dunn: You missed some, keep carry on!

Allen clears the building.

Cpl. Dunn: Up the stairs!

Allen runs up the stairs.

Cpl. Dunn: Melee with your knife!

Allen knifes the target and shoots more targets.

Cpl. Dunn: Area cleared! Jump down!

Allen jumps off the ledge.

Cpl. Dunn: Last area! Move! Move!

Allen clears the last area.

Cpl. Dunn: Sprint to the exit! Clock's ticking!

As the timer stopped, it read 45.54 seconds and finally, Najenda gave up.

" I need to go somewhere," she said before leaving.

When she left, some of them laughed at the boss's attempt to run the course.

"Was she mad?" Leone asked while giggling.

"By the looks of her face, I would say so." Esdeath agreed.

Cpl. Dunn: Alright, I've seen worse. You've got a few rough edges though.

Cpl. Dunn: Ok, head upstairs and regroup with your team, or you can go back in and run the course again.

Everyone agrees to not to play the course and then Allen heads up, where a difficulty box shows up. For a challenge, they all went to Regular. As Allen runs out of The Pit, a couple of Humvees arrive. Wounded soldiers are being carried out of them. The alarm rings.

Sgt. Arnett: They blew the damn bridge! We gotta move!

Overlord: All Hunter units, get to your victors. We're heading out.

Pvt. Walden: BCT One is trapped across the river in the red zone! We've lost contact!

Sgt. Foley: Everyone get to your vehicles! We're moving out!

"Now' re getting into actions," Leone cheered as the screen turns to black.

But before anyone could play the mission, Najenda comes back with a happy expression on her face.

"Everyone I have an announcement to make," she said.
"What is it, boss?" Akame asked.

"Everyone will be meeting outside the base in just four hours," she answered and soon left the room. Everyone was curious on why she was eager to let everyone get involved.

Omake: Course daze

Fours hours had passed and everyone was making their way to where Najenda was. As they arrived, they saw a course that was recently built. While the others were confused, Akame, Tatsumi, Lubbock, Wave and Leone sighs as they knew where this was going.

"Everyone…" All looked at where Najenda was and saw the front gate. "This will be our new training course, so I want all of you to give your best shot at it."

"She's pissed about her record time.' The five thought and soon everyone readied themseles to run though the course.

Ugh. Sorry if this omake was short as hell. I might be doing it for some missions and not for others. Make a review on this and PM me on any suggestions. This is Crimson. Soldat. Peace
