Chapter 22
I couldn't sleep all night , neither could stellan i laid on top of his chest and his breathe was tense all night
STELLAN's pov
I couldn't sleep all night because I kept thinking about two things , Chris and avery. Avery laid on top of my chest. I can't sleep, Chris is missing and I thought Avery was gonna leave me. I thought she really was leaving me , I got scared she was gonna divorce me or just leave me without saying goodbye. I cant admit it but i broke down when Avery said "' i can't do this with you anymore'" i panicked and i completely lost it. I didn't know what I'd do without avery. Part of me thinks if I tell her all this , she won't love me , but it's telling me to tell her. I'm gonna tell her tomorrow morning.
AVERY's pov
I woke up the next morning exhausted , and Stellan looked tired. He took his hand and stroked my hair. I looked at my left hand and saw my rings were missing. Stellan caught my gaze and smiled and pulled out the rings. I softly smacked his head and said
"Are you trying to give me a heart attack?"
"No, of course not, I just wanted to see if you noticed and still loved me.."
"Stellan… of course I love you , why wouldn't i? Why would you think that?"
"Because, yesterday when you said 'i can't do this with you anymore, i panicked and i was…" he trailed off
"Hey.. you can tell me, you were what?" i asked softly
"I was scared.."
He pulled away from me and hid his face
"Stellan.. Thank you."
"For what?"
"Telling me."
"Oh.."
I took his face in my hands and brought his forehead toward mine and then brought my lips close to his and he moved his head to kiss me and then I pulled back and his face shocked and he opened his mouth to say something, and I kissed him, and he kissed back. Hard.
An hour later , Stellan and I made breakfast together and then we ate. Almost an hour later ,Jack rushed through the door , and yelled "i have chris"
I jumped up and ran towards my baby boy and chris said
"Mommy" and his voice filled with joy
I grabbed him and hugged him and then I handed him to stellan and stellan kissed his forehead and he hugged him and handed him back to me and the three of us were hugging. I looked at Chris's eyes and the faded violet-blue eyes looked more blue and had gold rimmed around. Then I saw his arm and then I looked at jack.
