Avengers Crisis On Earth X Chapter 24
The Earth-Xers escaped with the prism. It was back to the drawing board of tracking them all down again. Barry took the blood stained Kryptonite arrow to see if it'll help.
"The optical systems call it the prism" said Felicity as she analysed the prism from the computers.
"But why on earth do they need a sub like generator for, it's basically spectral emitters Quantum Entanglement" Wells began
"used to create a stable fusin reaction" Caitlin finished
"Which basically means what? No really guys I'd like to know what you're talking about" Iris asked
"Well, basically the device that those guys stole can be converted into a Neutron bomb" Wells explained.
"I'd take that back"
"Bottom line is we have to catch these parallel earth clue steppers" Felicity adds
"This might help" Barry adds as he pulls out the Kryptonite arrow.
"Is that a Kryptonite arrow?" Alex asks
"I hate to ask this question but I have to ask this question but did Oliver have to shoot Kara?" Felicity asks
"Sort of. The other archer and flying woman are Oliver and Kara from Earth-X"
"When you said Earth-X was horrible I thought you undersold it" Caitlin adds.
"Wait how there can be another Kara? Alex asks
"53 Karas, just like there's 53 Kryptons and 53 Earths. Well even more Earths than that" Wells explains.
"And the Thawne from our earth is working with them" Barry adds.
"He's an idiot" Wells adds.
Tony walks in on the group.
"Not only that. But the other doppelgangers turn out to be Red Skull, Loki.. and worst of of Steve Rogers of Earth-X"
"Tony you gotta be kidding me?" asks Bruce.
"I wish" said Steve entering the room.
"When he revealed who he was. And I saw that face.. Couldn't believe it. It was like looking on a mirror and seeing only your worst nightmare looking back"
"Speaking of nightmares, when we find this Thawne, he's mine" adds Tony.
"Tony calm down. Thawne only said those things to get under your skin. He's a master at mind games" Barry aid trying to cool down Tony
"I don't get it, what did Thawne say?" asked Caitlin.
"The Earth-Xers have been watching us. Studying out victories and defeats. Even The Avengers. Thawne brought up Spider-Man who existed on Earth-A and brought up how he died in the snap" Barry explained.
"He was just a kid. He died and faded to ash in my hands. I rather not keep being plagued with failing him" Tony adds.
Barry placed a hand on Tony.
"I promise we'll make them pay Stark. But right now we have to find out there next move with the prism.
Tony sighed and nodded.
"Okay. Hand me that arrow. *Barry hands the arrow* Maybe we can use the DNA to track Evil Kara. F.R.I.D.A.Y? See if you can get into the mainframe and help track down Earth-X Kara's blood"
"Boss that blood sample has extremely high solar radiation levels"
"She's right. It's extraordinarily high. Nothing I've ever seen before" said Alex after studying the sample from the other room.
"Can we track it?" asks Barry.
"I'm already on it Mr. Allen" F.R.I.D.A.Y replied.
"Let's do this fast" said Barry
"Great. F.R.I.D.A.Y assist the science team and report back" Tony ordered.
"I'll get the team prepped" Steve adds.
"Actually... Before you do that. You'll want to see this too Allen. I had Cisco help me out with a suit for you Cap. Your old battered and dirty one needed a clean up and a redo"
Tony then leads them to where Tony and Cisco had the suit covered with a tarp. He unveiled it to reveal a freshly repaired suit.
"Woaah. You said you and Cisco did this?" asked Barry.
The suit itself was indeed one of Steve's suits from way back during the "Civil War" and during his time on the run/Battle of Wakanda. However there were a few changes. The Blue was more lighter, the red and white stripes no longer faded. The shoulders and torso covered in scale mail armor.
"Yeah. The kid had some design input after pointing out the scales that were poking out from under the suit.
"And the brown fingerless gloves and brown boots?" Barry asks
"Well if it ain't broke don't fix it"
Steve looks at the suit with the cowl sitting on top. For a long time Steve didn't truly feel like Captain America.
"Thank you Tony. Barry, is there a place I can try this on?"
"Yeah uh there should be an empty lab somewhere you can. Listen guys I have to go check on something. But be ready. Once we find the location of the prism, we're going after it" Barry says.
Tony pats Steve on the shoulder and leaves.
Meanwhile elsewhere in the city...
Thawne and Kara were working on their newly stolen prism.
"Will it work?" Kara asks
"It will. Just a few adjustments and a significant power source" Thawne answers
"My Husband is already on his way to handle that as we speak"
"You're Husband. Has a choice to make"
"Me or the Reich?"
"That's right. Because we have two goals and I'm worried that if we don't accomplish them both, he's gonna choose you over a second earth flying under our banner"
"Oliver will not abandon our mission"
"I've seen this before in 1945. Hitler and his men were equally short sided"
"Hitler was driven by passion and childish need, Oliver is ten times the man Hitler ever was"
"Not when he's blinded by his love for you"
"If it comes to Oliver choosing between me and the Reich, I'll make sure he chooses the Fatherland"
"Wow"
"If it comes to it, by taking the choice out of his hands"
Back at S.T.A.R Labs. Felicity, Bruce, Alex, Caitlin, Wells, and Mick(laying on the sick bay) were still on the hunt and studying Earth-X Kara's blood.
"Supergirl X's blood is filled with solar radiation. More than it should be but if I could try to get it to act as a beacon..." Wells began
"We can pinpoint her location within minutes" Bruce explained.
"You are both correct. I'm already downloading all possible locations throughout Central City" F.R.I.D.A.Y said.
"Copy that Saturday" Wells added
F.R.I.D.A.Y responded with "It's F.R.I.D.A.Y Mr. Wells"
"That's not what today is" Wells said with a sly smile
"Can the chatter" Alex adds
Mick gets up from the sick bay and walks over to Caitlin.
"So. How do you do it?"
"Do what Rory?"
"Get the other you out of you"
"Well it happens whenever I get Angry or scared"
"Oh so if I were to...BOO!"
The room jumped as Mick tried to scare Caitlin into changing.
"Nice try" Caitlin adds.
"Boom! Whatever is going on with Kara X's blood it's intensifying" said Wells.
"Whatever is worse for her is better for us" said Felicity.
"What's better for us is we can track her easily at least. We should have her location any minute now" Caitlin assures.
Meanwhile in the Time Vault Barry and Iris were looking at an article from the future.
"I can't believe he's back. I guess I'll never be rid of him." Barry began
"I can imagine how much you're hurting" Iris says.
"I just keep looking for closure but every time I see him all I see is"
"Your mother dying"
Oliver walks in on the two giving the heads up
"We're closing in on a location. Look guys I'm sorry this was not how this week was supposed to go"
"Right now I can't think about that"
"You fight to protect the people you love. Recognize that, cherish it. Because if you do that, you'll always find a way back to each other" Oliver said
"It's the same for you and Felicity man" Barry adds.
"She told me she doesn't believe in marriage. I'm not gonna feel sorry for myself it's just that, if she loved me the way I love her, she'd want to marry me"
"Oliver I've known Felicity for 5 years and o can tell you as sure as I'm standing she loves you"
"Felicity" said Iris as she noticed her walk in
"I appreciate that you guys" said Oliver unaware.
"She's... *points* right behind you" Barry adds
"We got 'em. They're out by a shipping depot outside Daville" Felicity said.
"Alright, we'll get the band back together" said Barry as he goes to assemble the teams.
