Chapter 19: The eon's visit

"Come on, wake up! It's sunrise already!" Already… I had like three hours of sleep. It was my fourth week as a Warrior now and I was still in training. Eevee did not go easy on me at all. To be more exact… her training was so strict, even Tyrunt seemed awed sometimes. I did not mind that much though. After all I wanted to get as strong as she was. And she probably didn't really know any way to train but the way she was trained herself. A bitter overtone. Even though she was out of there now, she was still a Servant deep inside. No matter how hard everyone would try to change that, it was how she was raised. And part of her would always be a Servant. But using the knowledge and experience for good can be a great advantage. Not that early in the morning though.

"Just a few more minutes. I feel like I've just laid down." Eevee shook me a little. "Sorry but no. You want to get stronger, don't you? Get up. If you do good today, I may anticipate letting you sleep earlier today." I finally opened my eyes. Eevee was smiling at me. "But seriously, if it gets way too much, tell me. I don't want to torture you." But Eevee still was my friend. She trained me that strict, because she wants me to fulfil my wish to become strong. But she would never harm me.

Once again, we were on our way to the forest to train. But as we reached the main hall, we saw that we had a strange visitor. A weird figure in a dark hood was talking to Tyrunt at the moment. We were obviously not the only ones interested. "Who are you, stranger, and what brings you to this place of justice." The strangers voice was quite deep, but not as loud as Tyrunts. "I'm here on peaceful purpose, Tyrunt. I've wandered around the world for long on the search for something important. And as I got word of your new group, I decided to come visit you, hoping that you would be able to help me."

If our leader was as nervous as some of the members around, he did definitely not show it. "If we can provide you answers we will. But how about you introduce yourself first?" The stranger seemed unsure at first. "I've tried to hide for hundreds of years, hoping not to become a target for the Shadow Demons followers." He hesitated a little longer, before he made him promise something. "You and your group have to promise me that the things that I will tell you are never going to leave these rooms." Our leader looked around with a cold gaze. "Good. I promise in the name of every single Warrior. Your secret will be safe with us." "I take your word for granted Tyrunt."

Before he started revealing his identity, we could see the stranger's eyes glowing in a dark blue tone. A powerful aura radiated from underneath the hood. "I'm an eon by trade. My name is Latios. I'm the brother of the long missing heroine Latias." I had heard the name Latias before. My parents had told me about this Pokemon multiple times. In some ways she seemed to have helped them defeating the Shadow Demon all these years ago. I never really got how though. "Latios. I had already wondered what you were doing after the war one hundred fifty years ago. What were you seeking all this time?" "I'm sure you all have heard the legend about the lost soul that has been told for so many years. The legend is indeed true. And I am sure that it is in some way connected to my sister. I have to find out more about it."

Tyrunt seemed rather disappointed. "I am sorry to tell you, but I do not believe that any of us can be of any help to you." I thought back to what my parents had told me. Wasn't mom originally that lost soul? She definitely had some connection to it, just like Latias did. "Wait. I know something." The hooded legendary turned around to me. "You really do? Are you serious?" I nodded. "I don't know anything specific, but I'm sure my parents do. They have told me about some things like this connected to the last war against the Shadow Demon." I couldn't see the Pokemon's eyes, but I felt that it was eyeing me. "Your parents were involved? Where can I find them?" I told him our address. "It's these two. I should've known! I should've known as I've first met them! They really are connected with it. How have I not seen this before!" He turned to the exit again. "Thank you for your help. I hope it will help me as much as it could. Maybe we will see again sometime." We have not seen him for a long time after this day.

Most Warriors did not seem to care that much after he left. They just went on and did what they were doing before again. Which in Marvin's case was a break again. Like always. I was still lost in thoughts, as Eevee nudged my side. "You shouldn't fall asleep again. Come on, training awaits us."

The very same evening, something happened. We were sitting at a table, eating dinner, like every day. It was really how Tyrunt told us as we got here for the first time. Dinner was a time spent together as a group. Everything seemed great in the world. Everybody was happy, telling jokes and talking about the day. I was pretty tired. The training had taken a toll on me again. But still I felt great. Me and Eevee were telling some others about our school time, as Tyrunt interrupted us. "Can I speak to you two for a moment?" Eevee answered for both of us. "Of course. What is it?" "I have a special quest for you tomorrow. Günter asked me to come get a special package. We need it for the Pure Element. But sadly, I have something even more important to do today. Since you've been nothing but training for weeks, I thought some variety would do you good. Can you please travel to Metro City and get that package for me?" The training did help me a lot and even though it was exhausting I liked it, yet I could really use something different for a change. "You can count on us. The package will be here by sundown!"

If anybody who has read Never alone (which I hope is everyone, because this is still a sequel) has not realised yet, you do now know who saved Fate and Thunder from SD back in the past before they travelled to the other continent and who even brought them there. The mysterious stranger back then was Latios.
