Chapter 18

As Jane looked in the beautiful hazel eyes of her loving wife, she leaned in again placing a loving tender passionate kiss. As they broke from the kiss, she ask her wife if she was sure that her and the baby were okay, taking Jane's hand she gently placed it on her stomach, smiling as she looked into Jane's teary eyes. Jane smiles her patent Rizzoli smiles and says excitedly, "we're going to have a little Rizzoli-Isles baby, Maur, I am so excited." Resting her head on Jane's chest, Maura says "yes, sweetheart we are, now it is time to get you upstairs, and ready for bed, we both have had a very long day, a nice relaxing bath is waiting for you, come on my sweetheart" as she pulled Jane up and helped her up the stairs to the awaiting bath. Quickly she undressed Jane, helped her get in, she went to work bathing her, then helped her out of the tub, drying her off, she asked if Jane wanted PJ, she said no, nakey, nakey, with you in bed. Settling into the bed next to Jane, Maura carefully wrapped herself around Jane, she needed to feel her next to her, holding her, and getting losted in her scent. Placing a kiss on top of Maura's head, she hears Jane say I love you, Maur, falling asleep as she listens to Jane's heartbeat.

The next few months, had been busy for all of the Rizzoli-Isles. School, daycare, sports, Jane's PT and recovery, baby Rizzoli-Isles Dr appointment, ultrasound, and Maura had been asked by the Governor to train 4 new Medical Examiners, who were 2 women and 2 men. Arthur and Constance were in charge of getting the kids to school, day care, sports and other activities. Today was the last check up with all three of her Doctors, one being "Yucky Slucky", so Maura was driving her, reminding her to be on her best behavior. Jane rolled her eyes at her, and said yes dear, chuckling, causing Maura to shoot her a glaring look and shaking her head. She was cleared by both doctors, Yucky Slucky had an associate of his do the final check up, she was released for duty from them, Maura was relieved, Jane said he was a low life coward, scare to see her, because he knew she would kick his sorry no good ass. Heading to eat lunch, they settled on a bistro, ordering and sitting holding hands, talking about the kids, the baby, making plans for the nursey, and Jane would return to desk duty, she would not go into the field, they were both happy, and it was times like these that both of them enjoyed. Jane listened as her wife explained how the training of the 4 new medical examiners, how they were at the top of their class, the women were more interested in learning, and the men were flirting with her, Jane laughed and asked if she needed to pay a visit to the morgue, and bring her gun. Maura said no, but she also knew Jane had a temper and could get jealous. Maura loved that about her Jane, their food arrived, after eating they decide go to a few of Maura's favorite boutiques, including the baby boutique, after that they headed home to spend a few undisturbed hours of matharon loving making.

Jane was back at work, true to her word, she made several appearances in the morgue, making sure her gun was on her hip each time and resting her hand on it, smirking at her wife each time. They had told anyone that Maura was pregnant, they were waiting till she was done with training the 4 new examiners, and then she was taking time off. Until today when one of the Male examiners decided to grab Maura, pick her up placing her on one the autopsy tables, trying to force her legs apart, telling her she was a tease, and needed a real man to fuck her, so she would change her mind, the others ran to get help. Jane had just stepped out the elevator, making her way to her wife's office, when something caught her attention out of the corner of her eye as she was passing the autopsy suite. Before the guy knew what was happening, he was being slammed onto the other autopsy table, when he looked up, his eyes was met by the raging furious face of Jane Rizzoli-Isles, and her fist was repeatedly slamming into his face and he was experiencing the anger and wrath of Jane Rizzoli-Isles, next thing she knew she was being pulled off of him by Korsak, Cavanaugh, and Frankie. Panting to catch her breath, she felt the small delicate hands of her wife on her shoulder, turning she took her wife into her arms, wrapping her arms around her, saying she was sorry over and over, her left hand was bleeding. They had handcuffed the creep, they read him his rights, and he said he was just trying to give Maura what she ready want, the way she dresses all the time, she didn't have her wedding rings on and was always picking him to do certain things. Jane was furious grabbing him by his shirt collar, she was yelling in his face that her wife was trying to teach him to be the best Medical Examiner he could be, as for her rings she wears them on a chain around her neck, she is not flirting with him or anyone else, her amazing, beautiful, stunning wife always looks like she is coming from a photo shoot or walking down a runway. Turning him loose she pulled her wife back into her arms, asking her if the baby and her were alright, not waiting for an answer she told Cavanaugh and Korsak she was taking Maura to the hospital to get her and the baby checked out, and her hand. Frankie had all their stuff and escorted them to Maura's car.

The were both checked out at the ER, Maura was fine and the baby had shown sign of distress and Maura was give something to help her and the baby, she was put on bed rest, Jane's hand had broken her hand in 2 places, and was put in a cast. Both were ordered to take of for a three weeks off. All discharge papers were signed, prescriptions were issued, and they headed home. Texting Constance and Arthur, she drove home with her wife sleeping in the passenger's seat, she had carried her wife upstairs. Jane took great care of assisting her wife in undressing and putting her nightgown on her, tucking her into bed, she was now fixing tea for Maura, and had made grilled cheese sandwiches, and grabbing a couple bottles of water, she balanced the tray and headed back upstairs to her sleeping wife. Placing the tray down, sitting down on the bed, carefully looking at this beautiful creature she has the honor of calling her best friend, lover, soulmate, her base, her safe haven and her wife. Tracing her finger lightly over Maura's face, and pushing a piece of honey blonde hair away from her face. Thanking God that Maura, the and the other children were safe. Placing her head and hand gently on Maura's little baby bump, she kissed it softly and begins to whisper words against her sleeping wife's baby bump, kissing it again, she just said another silent prayer. Smiling as she feels Maura's small hand, running through Jane's hair.

After eating the grilled cheese sandwiches, drinking her cup of tea, and a bottle of water, she asked where their children are. Jane tells her that they will be home in 2 hours, TJ, Frost, were at practice, Sofia and Connie were at dance, and Ava Grace was with KiKi. Maura cleared her throat grabbing Jane she pulled her close to her, resting her head on Jane's chest, she breathes in deep, and tell Jane that she is going to take an leave of absence for an undetermined amount of time, and she want Jane to do the same. She wants both of them to put their family first and is very adamant about it. If Jane doesn't want to agree to do it, she is taking the children and leaving going to an undisclosed location. Is Jane willing to do this for her, them and their families?
