Alright fair warning there is a time skip here, I became very excited to move things a long. She is still thirteen, and yes a question from the last chapter is answered. Just subtly, and don't worry there are more down below.
Between being taught by Snape everyday, except for Sundays when Diedra returned. I barely managed to have fun with Draco, but we did find time to walk on the beach. We looked much like twins since my hair was charmed blonde, needless to say this school year would be a fun one. Which would start in about a week. My school books were a mountain compared to Draco's, but I was taking on a large number of classes. Which, I was both excited and annoyed by. Excited that I would be taking all I want, annoyed because I had to share this with Granger.
McGonagall reassured me it had not been her idea to help Granger with this, but Dumbledore said if I could, then the bushy haired brat got to as well. Thankfully, we didn't have to share time turners. Mine was silver, while hers was gold. But, I did see this as a challenge to receive more O's than her.
None of that mattered all that much, as something worse than Granger sharing classes with me arrived. I was thirteen, and being thirteen meant puberty was bound to rear her ugly head. I should have known, as I had started to have mood swings, and a lot of adomidle pain. Waking up this morning, in a small river of blood should not have come as a surprise. "Mum!" I screeched.
She ran in, with dad right behind her. "Lucius! Stay out there, love." Her voice was firm, as she shut the door as soon as her eyes laid upon the blood. "So, it has begun."
"It's gross." I groaned.
My mother laughed brightly, while helping me up and to the bathroom. "Do I need to explain everything? From a witches perspective?"
"Please tell me there is a potion I can take?" I begged.
A soft smile came to her face. "Not today, the adoption potion...can't be taken with others in your system." That was right, it was the end of August..which meant only one thing to me. I would share their blood! Sharing hair, and name meant a lot to me...but once blood has been fixed..nothing could change it. "You can't even take a pain potion."
"Pain doesn't bother me." I replied softly, ignoring the anguish appearing on her face. "Will I be able to take the potion after?"
She shook her head. "No, but I will inform Severus...and he will have it for you the moment you step off the train."
"What will the potion do, exactly?" I asked.
I felt my face burn red, as my mother gazed at me. "The potion, Menstrualis. It will take the cramps away, and make it so the blood won't be seen on your clothing. When you bathe however, be prepared." She explained, before smiling. "When you turn sixteen we will get you Ovumious, it is a potion you take every three months. Have a period, then take it for another three months. It stops your eggs from being released for three months."
Nodding softly, before turning to look in the mirror. "How much longer before Draco and I won't be able to trick people?"
"Not much longer, your body will grow out in a few years." Her soft voice touched my heart. "You two will always be siblings though….and you will both always be my children." Warm lips touched my head after she said this. "I know this embarrasses you, but I dreamed of being able to help a little girl through this..and everything else she wishes to learn."
Turning to face her, my eyes met her bright blue eyes. "I dreamed of a mother helping me through this…" I whispered, as we embraced. She was right, this was embarrassing...but I could live with that. I craved the touch of what only a mother could give, just as much as I craved my father's attention.
"You will only have to ask, I will teach you everything you want to know. Hair, makeup spells, even spells that make shoes more comfortable." Everything she said had me intrigued, and the cord I associated with her glowed a bright gold.
That was something else that came during this summer, with Snape's advice to imagine cords connecting to each person. It allowed me to use that to see a person's aura much quicker, though it only worked on people I was close to. Strangers, was still a working progress. My mother's was golden, she was so pure...but flawed just a bit..so I knew she was real. "Can we practice makeup spells before I go to Hogwarts?"
She laughed, and I was mesmerized. "No, but how about during Christmas?"
"Yes, Mum." I replied, as her red lips turned up into a bigger grin. I was going to say more, when I twisted my leg together, noting it was sticky. "I need to clean…"
"I will be right outside in your bedroom, when you are finished I will show you a charm. It will keep your knickers, sheets, and skin clean." She replied, and I nodded happily. "Good, see you soon...my sweet Flower."
The time went by quickly, as we were all ready to consume the potion….and had returned to the manor. Dad had to go back to work a few days early, which allowed me to bond more with my mother. All of these memories filled my head and heart, as I bathed under the many jets the shower had to offer. Wincing a bit, and thankful that the tiles were black as I cleaned my thighs. I didn't know a whole lot of what was happening with my body, having a good idea due to what people told you...and what your actual body is doing, were two different things. I did know that I refused to look at the crime scene..if I could help it.
My mother was patient though, waiting as she promised for when I reamurged looking a bit like a drowned rat. She pulled me to her, before handing me the necessary sanitary products that she had ready. "Only for today." She reassured me, when I returned from placing on the underwear...felt like I was wearing a diaper….
"Can I wear trousers today?" I asked, and she smiled with a nod.
"Yes...though we may want to avoid the lighter colors." She chuckled, handing me a pair of flowy black trousers...they moved much like a skirt. A garnet blouse topped off the look, tighter than the trousers. "You look beautiful." She smiled, before pulling something out of her robe. "This is for you."
Confusion filled me, as I opened the box to find a silver headband, dotted with little emeralds. "It's beautiful."
"A family heirloom, on my side. I had been waiting to give this to somebody, and now it's yours." She told me softly. "And, I hope that one day, that you pass it down to your daughter."
My eyes felt wet, but I nodded softly. "Thank you." I said softly, staring at my reflection. I couldn't help but map my features, and wonder what would change...and what would stay the same.
We left my bedroom, my father had waited for us. Clearly worried, ever since Snape had urged me to tell my father what Diedra had told me..the first time she was here. He was over protective, promising for as long as he could manage...he would keep me safe. "Good morning, Daddy." I told him softly, his arms wrapping around me tightly.
"Good morning, Princess. Are you alright?" He asked, kneeling down to my eye level.
"Yes, Daddy." I replied, loving how he held me. "I love you."
"I love you too, are you looking forward to school starting back up?" He asked softly.
"Always." I replied. "More excited for today though."
He smiled lovingly at me, before kissing my head. "That's my Little Girl."
"Always." I repeated, and he laughed warmly.
I met his grey eyes, and couldn't help but hope that I shared their color after today...even though eye color being changed is exceedingly rare. It had been documented, but only once. "Snape already left to get the potions bottled...are you sure you want to do papers are finished, you are ours...you don't have to go through the pain."
"Yes I do, and yes I am very sure." I told him calmly, I wanted this more than ever. I knew he did as well, he just didn't like the idea of me being in any kind of pain. Having confided a lot in the man, I now claimed as my father…..I told him everything that had happened during my childhood, shortly after we signed the adoption papers. He or Snape had shared my past with my mother, the only one not knowing the extent was Draco.
Speaking of the blonde boy, he had been awoken by my shout. "Is it time?" He asked, already dressed and ready. Seemed I wasn't the only one eager about today, even pouting when Mum shook her head to him. "Aww."
"Draco." Dad spoke, a smile playing at his lips as he shook his head. "She will share our blood before the sun has set."
"She already shares our hair." Draco sang, before pulling me to him.
"Lucius...they do look like twins." I heard my mother mutter, and I could not help but agree. "Noon cannot get here fast enough."
"I couldn't agree more." My father's voice replied.
0.o.0
Snape arrived at noon, as he had told my parents; the Minister just behind him. Cornelius only here, as he had to oversee the potion being taken, document it, and then fill out the correct forms. I was thankful that Dad had pulled the strings, to allow me to have the comforts of home while I took the red liquid down.
"Alright." The Minister spoke calmly, he looked at the four of us. "Severus."
Locking eyes with the onyx ones of my Professor, he walked forward. "It will be best if you laid down." He told me softly. "Everyone's pain tolerance is different, but this will still be quite trying for you."
I nodded, moving softly. My father's side made the perfect pillow in this instant. He pecked my head softly, as I was handed the vial. "Thank you, Professor."
"You are welcome." The deep voice replied, I could hear a bit of regret as he spoke.
Shooting the potion back, grimacing instantly as the flavor of iron filled my mouth. Guessing the flavor came from the blood that was used, watching cautiously as my father, then mother, and finally Draco all downed similar potions. Once they did that, a warmth began to spread through my form, it wasn't painful; until it intensified. The only way I could describe it, is a nasty sunburn...but from the inside out.
"You doing okay?" My father whispered.
"Yes, Daddy." I replied, my voice quite soft. The burning intensified, but even though it was painful..I knew this was temporary, the pain would go away, it would stop. The joyful years that had yet to come, were a beautiful outcome.
I found my eyes began to burn a short time after that was painful. Felt as if someone had poured salt into them, as they began to water. "Shh.." I heard my mother soothe, her hands in my hair.
"Only thirty minutes." Snape could be heard adding, as my heart pounded within my ears. Thirty minutes surely was going to seem like a lifetime, especially as my jaw began to ache. It felt as if someone had started pulling at my incisors, shifting them into different places. I hadn't even thought about the gaps in my teeth possibly being closed, at least Potter won't be able to poke fun at them any longer.
"Her hair is looking lighter…" I heard my brother breathe.
"Did you expect her black locks to return?" I could hear the Minister ask.
My eyes fluttered open, as the pain in my eyes ceased. I locked mine with Snape's. 'Its manageable.' I sent, couldn't speak verbally; but mentally was quite easy.
"Good." He replied simply. "Ten minutes."
'Tell that to my jaw.' I shot back, and he smirked simply.
"Severus?" The Minister asked.
"Amelia is communicating." He replied simply. "If you are able, try and communicate with Cornelius here."
"Isn't she going through enough?" My mother hissed.
Snape shook his head, before I could..not that I could. "I think it is offering her a distraction." He explained, while allowing the Minister to step forward.
I focused on the man's surprised green eyes, as I tried to picture a cord. I knew the man had been a Slytherin born under Hufflepuff parents, my father shares a lot with me. However, that information allowed me to picture a silver cord, and it glowed a muddy gold...it made me greatly aware of this man. He either had intentions that I should question, or he was ignorantly blind of something. 'Hello.' I sent, once the cord glowed.
"Bloody hell." The Minister replied softly. "You taught her well, Severus."
'Best teacher at Hogwarts.' I shot out, not realizing that I had somehow included the entire room.
"I can only be a good teacher, if my student is willing to learn." Snape finally said, after a pause. "Is the pain depleting?"
I nodded softly. 'Yes, Professor.' I replied softly, noticing how his cord had softened..it meant he was happy. Even if his face didn't display the emotion, an aura could be very revealing. He knew I could see him, I told him such during one of our lessons..as I didn't think I ever had to hide anything from the man.
My jaw opened slowly, as I could feel it again. Eyes were on me as I shifted, both my mother and father helped me in sitting up. "Look at that, it seems she took on your smile Mother." Draco whispered in awe.
"Yes, but she has her father's eyes." My mother spoke up, instantly my said eyes widened. "Would you like a mirror?"
"Please…" My voice sounded the same, she transfigured one in front of me. I stared in front of me, seeing a girl that I recognized...but at the same time she was a stranger. I knew she was me though, with my silvery blonde hair, new smile, and cool grey eyes. My skin was the same pale complexion, my nose was the same as well, and my slim frame.
"How do you feel?" I heard the Minister ask.
I didn't answer, for a moment. "I feel…..happy…."
Alright before I jump into the questions, I want everyone to know I recently bought the ultimate Harry Potter Spellbook..so I will be referencing it a lot soon. Some of the charms that Snape is teaching her however, will not be listed as I'm sure the man is creative. XD. Without further ado your favorite part.
1) How do you think Potter will react to Amelia's change?
2) Do you think Fred and George will continue to socialize with her?
3) What lengths do you think Lucius will go, to make sure Voldemort doesn't learn of Amelia's existence?
4) Do You think Amelia will have to help Potter in their seventh year?
