Sorry I didn't post on Wednesday… and then I didn't post on Sunday... but me and my family were on an RV trip and I couldn't get good internet long enough to post. I just got back last night, but I was too tired to post then. I've also been sort of sick (though I know that's not an excuse since I just need to open my chromebook and click stuff).
But here it is now! And it was 10 pages on google docs… the longest chapter I've written, so… enjoy!

A Great End to the Year
No one's POV
The exam results were about to come, and Hermione and Pansy were visibly getting worried. Of course, everyone was worried, but only those two showed it. Draco was actually freaking out inside, he was so worried of doing bad and disappointing his parents. Blaise and Ron were also worried about the same thing. Harry was just nervous about not being able to come back to Hogwarts the next year, for he hated it at the Dursleys' house. He was still in the hospitable wing, but Dumbledore said that he could go down to the end of year feast.
The kids were all in the Great Hall eating dinner, talking about anything and everything. The main topic that night was Harry's escape of the Dark Lord. It had been the talk of the week, so it was no surprise that everyone was still talking about it. They were, of course, not always saying the truth. Sometimes they got it off of rumors, sometimes they just thought of it.
Terry Boot, for example, was talking to Padma Patil at the Ravenclaw table, telling her absurd stories. "I heard that Potter took on fifty Death Eaters and the Dark Lord himself, and he killed all of them, with one wave of his wand!" he said.
Only the Gryffindors in Harry's year knew the truth. That was Ron, Hermione, Neville, Parvati, Lavender, Dean, Seamus, Sofia and Ella. Fred and George knew too, but they had more fun telling people lies.
"Did you hear?" Fred told a lot of second year Hufflepuffs, walking past the table, "Harry Potter defeated the Dark Lord and 200 Death Eaters. They're all dead, who would have though, Harry Potter, who can barely lift his wand, could kill that many people?"
But Hermione heard this and walked over to them. "That's not what actually happened, Fred." she scolded. "Stop putting ideas into people's heads."
"Oh, but dearest Hermione, I'm not. I'm only saying the truth."
Hermione glared at him but turned around and strutted back to the Gryffindor table.
That happened a lot, believe it or not.
Hermione's POV
"Oh my gosh, oh my gosh." Hermione fretted, pacing back and forth in the Gryffindor common room. "What if I get an A?!"
"It would be brilliant if I could at least get an A." Ron said, lounging on a chair in front of her.
"I don't know, I would rather get at least an E." Lavender replied, sitting on the couch across from him with Parvati and Dean.
"Me too." Seamus agreed from his spot on the floor. Parvati, Dean, Ella and Sofia nodded in agreement.
"Whatever, I'll be happy with an A." Ron told them.
And then, the Deputy Headmistress and head of Gryffindor House walked into the common room.
"Here are your exam results." she announced, handing each of them a slip of paper. Hermione hurriedly took hers and looked at it.

Hermione's face fell.
"What's wrong?" Lavender asked, coming over to look at Hermione's card. "Oh my gosh! That's amazing! Why are you so sad?!"
The rest of the group came over and looked at it. "Hermione!" they all exclaimed. "How can you be sad about this?"
"I got an A!" Hermione wailed.
"Yeah, on Flying. That's only because you're afraid to fly, and that's perfectly fine." Sofia explained.
"But—"
"No 'but's', you did amazing. Look at my card!" Ron said, showing her his.

"I got A's on almost everything!"
"Except Flying." Hermione laughed. "How ironic."
"Hey, don't forget, I got E's on DADA and Charms."
"We should go see Harry and see what he got."
Draco's POV
"Oh, thank goodness!" Pansy exclaimed when she got her results. She, Draco and Blaise were in the Slytherin common room, sitting on the couch. "I got mostly O's."
"Me too, sort of." Draco replied, handing over his card.

"You both did so good, I didn't." Blaise said sulkily. "I got mostly E's."
"That's alright. At least you didn't get mostly A's."
"Yeah." Blaise brightened a little at that thought.
"Now that we know how we did, I've got to go." Pansy said, walking out of the portrait hole.
"What was that about?" Draco asked, after the portrait hole had closed up after her.
"How am I supposed to know?" Blaise answered.
Hermione's POV
Hermione walked out of the Gryffindor common room, where there was a party going on to celebrate the end of the year. Fred and George had nicked some food from the kitchens, and they were all eating it. Hermione hadn't even given the twins a 'stern talking-to' because she didn't want to ruin the festivities.
Hermione walked outside to her and Pansy's secret hideout. She walked into Greenhouse 7 and opened the trapdoor on the floor that was covered with a thick layer of dust so no one would see it, though Hermione knew exactly where it was, so she didn't even need to do the spell that would point her to it. The ladder fell down and she climbed down. The layer of dust appeared back on the trapdoor magically as she closed it.
Hermione took in the sweet aroma of vanilla scented candles they had gotten. The room was decorated with pictures of them and their friends (Pansy had even let Hermione put up a few of Harry and Ron), and had a big couch at the back. Hermione went to the back and flopped on the couch.
A few minutes later, Pansy entered. "Oh, hey, Hermione." she said, walking over to Hermione. "I wasn't expecting you to be here."
"Oh, do you want me to leave?" Hermione replied, starting to get up.
"No, no. It's alright. I was just coming for alone time, but I want to spend time with you."
Hermione smiled and sat back down. "Hey, what if we tell the boys about this place, then we can all spend time together here, and… well, we haven't been caught, so we wouldn't be found out."
"That's a brilliant idea!" Pansy exclaimed. "But let's enjoy a boy-free-zone for a little first."
Hermione laughed and leaned back against the couch as Pansy did the same.
Twenty minutes later, Pansy suddenly jumped up.
"What's wrong, Pansy?"
"How did we never see this?" Pansy said, pointing to a hole in the dirt/wall.
Hermione stood up and walked over. "Do you think it's big enough for us to go in?"
"Yeah, I bet a fourth year could fit in there."
"I'll go in and see what's there." Hermione suggested, climbing into the hole. There was a longish passageway and she walked for what seemed like hours, but really was only five minutes. Then she saw what could be a whole new room.
"Pansy!" she yelled back through the passageway.
"Is there anything cool in there?" Pansy's voice traveled to Hermione.
"Yes! There's a whole space which could be a new room! Come here!" she could then hear the sound of someone walking quickly, and then Pansy appeared.
"This is so cool!" Pansy gasped. "Look, there's a trapdoor on top." she pointed up and Hermione followed her finger and saw the door. She jumped up and pulled the door open and moved out of the way as Pansy jumped back. A ladder fell down and Hermione started to climb up. She stuck her head out cautiously and looked around.
She jumped back down and turned to Pansy. "It's another greenhouse. I think it's Greenhouse 2."
"That's good." Pansy said.
Then Hermione got an idea. "Pansy, what if this can be the boys' room, and we can have our room, but we can all still talk?!"
"Yes, that's perfect! That way, we won't have to completely share with the boys."
Hermione nodded. "Exactly. If we can fix up the 'hallway', and the boys can do whatever they want with their part, it could be awesome!"
Pansy nodded enthusiastically. "I'll tell them now." she climbed up the ladder and got out.
No one's POV
"This place is so cool!" Draco exclaimed, walking through the hallway into the girls' area. "Blaise, go get a few things you want for our room, and I'll get some things." Blaise nodded and turned around to go get things.
"We'll start fixing up the hallway." Hermione said, holding up a long strand of lights. She had transfigured lots of rocks to be lights, and a long vine to be the string. Pansy, Blaise and Draco were amazed at how easy she made it look.
"Great." Draco ran back out of Greenhouse 2 and back to his dorm with Blaise.
Pansy and Hermione started hanging the lights on the sides of the hallway. They glowed a light pink/peach color.
Draco picked up a few pictures and wrote a letter to his mother;
Dear Mother,
I was wondering if you could send me a couch. I know it sounds weird, but please send one (shrunken). Oh, and a few of my things from home.
Yours dearest,
Draco
He knew his mother wouldn't ask any questions and gladly send the stuff he asked for. He handed the pictures to Blaise.
"Here, take these back to the… place. I'll meet you there, I'm just going to send this letter to my mother, asking for a shrunken couch." Draco said.
"You think she'll just send you a shrunken couch?" Blaise questioned, his eyebrow raised.
"Yes." Draco answered simply, running to the owlery.
Blaise shook his head at the antics of his best friend. He walked back to Greenhouse 2 after making sure no one was watching him. He climbed down the ladder and started pinning up the pictures. Pansy and Hermione walked in to the boys' room and announced they were done. Blaise nodded and finished hanging up the pictures.
"That's it?" Pansy asked.
"No, Draco's owling his mother asking for a shrunken couch." Blaise replied.
"A shrunken couch?" Pansy and Hermione said in unison.
"Yeah…"
Just then, Draco quickly climbed down the ladder. "Mum will answer in about a few hours."
And she did. Draco came back a few hours later with a shrunken couch and a couple other things.
"Here they are." he announced. "Hermione, you know how to do an engorgement charm, right?"
"Of course I do."
"Could you engorge this couch?" Draco placed the couch on the floor in the spot where he wanted it.
"Sure." Hermione took out her wand and muttered Engorgio. The couch swelled up to the size that a couple people could sit in it. "Good?" she asked, pocketing her wand.
"Perfect."
"Right." Pansy said. "Now we have a place to come to talk next year." The others nodded in agreement.
"We better head back, the feast will be starting soon." And so it was.
The Great Hall was decorated in Slytherin colors of green and silver, and banners with the Slytherin snake on it.
Harry walked into the Great Hall and everybody turned to look at him. Everyone knew more or less about what happened, and they were amazed by it. Harry seemed to take no notice to the rest of the Hall and went to sit next to Ron and Hermione at the Gryffindor table.
"How are you feeling, Harry?" Hermione asked as the Hall went back to it's usual chatter.
"Fine." Harry replied. "Every now and then my head hurts, but otherwise I'm fine."
"Harry," Ron said. "Slytherin's won the house cup since you couldn't make it to the last Quidditch game, as you can see by the decorations. But that's alright, at least you're okay."
Harry nodded but he looked disappointed.
Then Dumbledore stood up and the Hall went silent. It was few people who have that effect, but Albus Dumbledore certainly did. "Another year gone!" he announced. "And I must trouble you with an old man's wheezing waffle before we sink our teeth into our delicious feast. What a year it has been! Hopefully our heads are a little fuller than they were… you have the whole summer to get them nice and empty before next year starts….
"Now, as I understand, the house cup here needs awarding, and the points stand thus: In fourth place, Gryffindor, with three hundred and twelve points; in third, Hufflepuff, with three hundred and fifty-two; Ravenclaw has four hundred and twenty-six and Slytherin, four hundred and seventy-two."
The Slytherin table burst into enthusiastic applause. It was the seventh year in a row that Slytherin had won.
"Yes, well done, Slytherin." Dumbledore continued. "However, recent events must be taken into account." he paused for a moment and watched the Slytherin's smiles fading a little. "Yes, yes. Last-minute points have to be given. First, to Mr. Ronald Weasley,"
Ron's face turned redder than his hair and he looked up at Dumbledore in amazement.
"For the best played chess game that Hogwarts has seen for a very long time, I award Gryffindor fifty points."
The Gryffindors broke into cheers. They hadn't won yet, no, but Dumbledore wasn't done yet.
"Second, to Miss Hermione Granger, for the use of logic in the face of fire, I award Gryffindor fifty points."
Hermione buried her face in her hands, she had felt hot tears of happiness slowly make their way down her face. How could this be happening? She thought incredulously.
At the Slytherin table, Draco, Blaise and Pansy applauded Hermione along with Ravenclaw, Hufflepuff and Gryffindor. They didn't want Gryffindor to win, but they were proud of her.
"Next, to Mr. Draco Malfoy," the Hall was silent and Draco glanced at both Pansy and Blaise, both of them giving him encouraging looks. "For respecting House Unity, and realizing that keys are in fact, not birds," the way he said it made Draco look bad, saying that he realized keys are not birds, but everyone who's opinion mattered knew exactly what Dumbledore meant. "I award Slytherin house fifty points." Slytherin cheered, they were still much ahead of Gryffindor.
"And third, to Mr. Harry Potter," the Hall went quiet. "For pure nerve and outstanding courage, I award Gryffindor one hundred points."
Anyone who did the math quickly realized that Slytherin was still winning by ten points. Three Houses were disappointed, one was cheering again.
"Last," there was more? "Mr.'s Fred and George Weasley, for the best played prank in over a century, I award Gryffindor ten points."
Hermione was completely confused. Why would Dumbledore give points for a prank?
Fred and George were smiling ear to ear as they explained the prank. "We took about a million balloons and stuffed them in Filch's office, and we filled each balloon with this muggle thing called bleach." Hermione's eyes widened. Oh, no, they didn't! "Then when he opened the door, the balloons came out and began popping on the many pins we set up outside. It truly was a brilliant idea."
Filch was standing at the door of the Great Hall and everyone turned to look at him. He was covered in bleach and looked angrier than anyone had ever seen him. The Hall was laughing and cheering at the same time.
"So, I believe," Dumbledore said, somehow louder than the students. "A change of decoration is in order."
He was right, Slytherin and Gryffindor were now tied for first place with five hundred and twenty-two points. Dumbledore waved his wand and part of the Slytherin's green and silver became Gryffindor's gold and red. The big banner on the High Table (the table the teachers sat at), was Slytherin's serpent, but when Dumbledore waved his wand, half of it became the Gryffindor lion.
"And now, let us eat!" the Great Hall filled with excited chatter and everyone began to eat as the food appeared in front of them.
And too soon, everyone was packing up. Robes disappeared from closets and went into trunks, quills and parchment the same, as well as all the school books. The teachers gave the students little slips of paper, reminding them not to use magic over the summer (I always hope they'll forget to give us these," said Fred Weasley sadly).
Hagrid brought the first years to Hogsmeade station by boat, and they all boarded the train, Hermione, Ron and Harry making sure to hug Hagrid goodbye. The three found an empty compartment as well as Pansy, Blaise and Draco.
"Do you think you can visit over the sumer, Harry?" Ron asked, taking a bite out of a Pumpkin Pasty Harry had bought for the three of them.
"I hope so, I don't want to be stuck with the Dursleys again." Harry replied, catching a Chocolate Frog.
"You'll come visit too, Hermione?" Ron turned to her.
"Of course." Hermione said. "I'm going to uh… go to the restroom, I'll be right back."
She got up and closed the door to their compartment just in time to hear Ron say, "Is there even a restroom here?" No, Hermione didn't think there was.
She walked to the Slytherins' compartment, walking in and sitting next to Pansy. "Hey."
"Hey, Hermione." the other three said in unison.
"Pansy," Hermione turned to her. "You'll come visit loads, right?"
"Definitely. I don't want to be with my parents too long…"
"You too." Hermione turned to the boys.
"Sure." Draco replied. "Mum will let me, and probably tell Father that I'm going to Blaise or Pansy's."
"Yeah, I'll come too. Owl us when we can come." Blaise said.
Soon enough, they were at King's Cross station, going home. There was a wizard guarding the entrance to the muggle world, so that all of Hogwarts didn't burst into the wall and appear suddenly to muggles. They went in twos and threes. Pansy, Blaise and Draco went out a few minutes before Hermione, Harry and Ron.
Pansy wanted to spend as little time as possible in her own house, so she was very glad when Hermione asked her to come over lots, and when Blaise and Draco promised to owl her every day and invite her over a lot. Pansy knew that when they got into muggle King's Cross station, her parents would be waiting there, but she also knew that they wouldn't dare do anything with so many people.
Blaise quickly spotted his father, who had insisted that only he come, and not Blaise's mother. Blaise was glad of that, for he didn't like his mother when she got angry.
Draco's POV
Draco's mother had come, and not his father. Lucius probably had a lot of work to do and thought coming to pick up Draco would be a waste of time.
Pansy saw both her parents, waiting impatiently, but she didn't want to go over to them too soon. She walked with Draco to his mother, Narcissa was always so welcoming to Pansy and treated her like a daughter. "Pansy!" Narcissa exclaimed after having hugged her son. "Always a pleasure to see you, darling. How are you?"
Pansy shrugged. "I've been better."
"Would you like to stay at Malfoy Manor for the… week?" Narcissa asked kindly, after glancing at Pansy's parents.
"Oh, I would love to! I'll just… go tell my parents."
"No, no, I'll go tell them." Narcissa walked over to Pansy's parents and had a short conversation with them.
"Would it be alright with you if Pansy stays the week at Malfoy Manor?" Narcissa questioned.
"As long as Draco doesn't put any more ideas into her head, we've heard that he has been conversing with a mudblood." Narcissa flinched a little as the word left Mrs. Parkinson's lips. "We've also realized," Mrs. Parkinson continued. "That Pansy might have been friends with the mudblood as well, so we put her in her place."
Narcissa nodded, keeping a cool façade. "Yes, that's all very well, but may she stay a week, the whole summer maybe?"
"Yes, she may stay at Malfoy Manor the whole summer, but I would like her to visit at least twice."
"Of course." Narcissa walked away, feeling very proud of herself. She had practically just saved an innocent girl from harm!
"Pansy," Narcissa said, walking up to Draco and Pansy. "Your mother said that you can stay for the whole summer."
"Yay!" Pansy celebrated.
"But, you have to visit your parents at least twice." Pansy nodded. That she could do.
"Mother," Draco started. "Do you think we'll be able to invite Hermione over?"
"Only if your father's not there. Which, I expect he won't be there much, for he has lots of work to do." Narcissa answered. Draco nodded.
They walked outside and hid in a dark alleyway. Narcissa stuck her hand out for Draco to hold. He took a hold of her hand as Pansy did the same on the other side of her. Narcissa apparated away, back to Malfoy Manor just as Blaise and his father walked into the alleyway. They too apparated away, but not to Malfoy Manor. They went back to Zabini Manor.
Hermione's POV
Hermione burst through platform 9 ¾ with Harry and Ron and they heard a voice.
"There he is, Mum, there he is!" Ginny Weasley, Ron's younger sister was pointing at the trio. Well, not the whole trio, and it wasn't even Ron she was pointing at. It was Harry. Her flaming red Weasley hair bounced up and down as she did, her smile stretching across her freckle-covered face.
"Harry Potter!" she squealed. "Look, Mum! I can see —"
"Be quiet, Ginny, and it's rude to point." Mrs. Weasley said. She then turned to Harry, Ron and Hermione. "Busy year?" she asked nicely.
"Very." the three answered in unison.
"Thanks for the fudge and the sweater, Mrs. Weasley." Harry added. Ron had told Mrs. Weasley, at Christmas time, that Harry never got presents. She decided to give him some. (A/N: You know how it goes…)
"It was nothing, dear."
People were coming from all sides of them, shouting things to their friends, and, Harry.
"Bye, Harry!"
"See you, Potter!"
"Have a good summer, Harry!"
"You're even more famous now." Ron said, grinning.
"Not where I'm going, I promise you." Harry replied, but he was smiling too.
Then came a purple-faced, mustached, furious-looking man. He barely had any neck!; whereas, a very thin, tall woman with twice the amount of usual neck, followed him; along with a kid who looked to be about the trio's age, (who must have been the adults behind him's son) completely resembled his father. "Ready, are you?" the big man with a mustache asked, looking very angry.
"See?" Harry whispered to Ron and Hermione. "That's my uncle, Vernon, my aunt, Petunia, and my cousin, Dudley."
Hermione suddenly realized that Harry had not exaggerated at all when he explained his family. They really were terrible.
"You must be Harry's family!" Mrs. Weasley exclaimed, walking over and stretching out her hand to shake hands.
"In a matter of speaking," Harry's uncle said gruffly, completely ignoring Mrs. Weasley's hand. "Hurry up, boy, we haven't got all day." And then he walked away with Petunia and Dudley.
Harry hung back a little to say goodbye to Hermione and Ron.
"See you over the summer, then."
"I hope you have a… good summer." Hermione replied, looking back after Vernon, Petunia and Dudley. She couldn't believe that anyone could be so… unpleasant. Her aunt and uncle were absolutely marvelous. They would get her presents, but not too many, of course.
"Oh, don't worry, I will." Harry said, and Hermione was very surprised to see that he was grinning. "They don't know we're not allowed to use magic at home, I believe I am going to have a lot of fun with Dudley this summer…"
Hermione and Ron laughed. That certainly would be funny. "Could you please take a video?" Hermione asked.
"What's a video?" Ron said curiously.
"I'll explain later."
"Of course I'll take one… or two… or three…" Harry answered. "I've got to go now, though."
"Alright, bye Harry." Hermione and Ron hugged Harry as he walked slowly to his uncle, aunt and cousin.
Ron turned to Hermione. "So what's a video?"
