"We need to rent a car, Cath," Steve told her as they walked downtown holding hands.

"All right, come on," she answered. As they walked, Catherine spotted an ice cream parlor. "Wow! It's a very elegant ice cream parlor!"

"Hmm! I know you're going to want to come in," Steve told her.

Catherine walked in and was in doubt about what to choose. "Look, Steve, everything looks so delicious."

"You look like a child, Cath. Choose soon."

Catherine chose and Steve bought it for her. "Don't you want a little bit?" She asked.

"Just give me a little," he asked, and she took a spoonful of ice cream in his mouth.

"Um... It's very good. I changed my mind and I think I'll buy one for myself too."

After they left the ice-cream parlor they went to rent a car and get to know more of the city.

They took the opportunity to meet Rosedal. "Steve, it's simply beautiful! Look how many roses!"

"It's really beautiful. Good to recharge our batteries," Steve told her. Catherine wanted to feel the perfume of each kind of rose and Steve waited patiently for her to do that.

After walking through the park for a while they went to pedal on the lake. Steve stopped the pedal in the middle of the lake and they stayed there admiring the landscape. Steve passed his arm around her shoulder . "What peace! A wonderful landscape , my love at my side , without bandits , without crime scenes , without exchanges of gunfire . What more could I want?"

Catherine smiled. "This place is very romantic, don't you think?"

"Come here," Steve pulled her closer and kissed her at length. "I love you," he said after the kiss.

"I love you, too, sailor." Catherine hugged him harder and kissed him several times on the cheek, making him smile.

"Look, Cath, a family of ducks. Mother and her ducklings."

Catherine looked and saw the duck and her ducklings near the pedal. "Hey! My family salutes your family."

Steve laughed. "Do you talk to ducks now?"

"Yes, I do," she answered and laid her head on his shoulder. "I love this place. Can we come here more often?"

Steve kissed her forehead. "Of course. Whenever you want."

"What do you think you'd be doing if I hadn't gone to get you and you were traveling alone?"

"Well, I'd be alone and unhappy out there. I have no idea where I'd be, but I certainly wouldn't be here in this beautiful place with my special person. You know, Cath, when I needed someone the most, you came along. We didn't know each other, we didn't know each other's existence and yet, when our eyes crossed our hearts were invaded by affinity, physical attraction, affection. Without you my life is more empty and sad. Your love is very important to me, because of you be who you are, because of everything we have lived, and because of everything we are to each other since the day we met". Steve smiled. "Forgive me if I'm being cheesy, you know I'm no good with words.

"You was perfect." Catherine smiled and kissed him on the neck seductively.

"Don't do that. The kids are looking at us," Steve told her.

Catherine looked around. "What kids? We're in the middle of the lake."

Steve smiled and pointed at the ducklings. "These kids here."

Catherine just smiled. After so many years she was hearing everything she had ever dreamed of hearing from him.

Some time later they went home and Steve wanted to cook for the two of them while she was lying on the couch looking at him.

Steve smiled at her. "What is it?"

"It's nothing, I'm just tired. But I'm lucky to have a handsome, intelligent man who cooks very well," she answered.

"You're going to eat a legitimate "argentine chorizo". I hope I got the recipe right".

"I can't wait to taste it," Catherine answered.

Half an hour later they were having dinner. "Is it good?" Steve asked.

"Great, Steve. Thank you."

After dinner they snuggled up in the couch and watched a movie. It was a romantic movie and Catherine thought Steve was hating it. "No, Cath. I'm enjoying the movie," he told her.

"Really?" She asked.

"Yes. But dating is much better. Come here!" He kissed her several times. "Did I ever say I love you?" Steve said to her.

"Yes, you did. But it's always good to hear it again, and again, and again..."

"I love you," Steve whispered in her ear.

"I love you, too, Steve McGarrett. No matter where I went, or how long we stay away from each other, the best place in the world remains within your embrace"
