Hey guys! Happy Fourth of July!!! Because it's a holiday, I won't update today, except for this update. Thanks for your patience, and thanks for the reviews, follows, and favorites!
Webby showed Liam around the house. "This is my room," she began, pulling him along. She showed him up into the attic. "This is the attic, don't mind the mess," she said, referring to the storage boxes. Dewey joined them up in the attic. "Alright, we showed him the whole house, I think he's ready to go back to his own home," he said bitterly. Webby just smirked at him.
"But I haven't met Scrooge McDuck yet! Isn't that the whole reason I'm here?" he asked. Webby nodded, remembering. "Oh, right. Well, he's at work now, so we'll have to wait," she said. Then an idea lit up in her head. Dewey saw the sparkle in her eyes. He shook his head. But she ignored him. "Hey! Why don't you have dinner with us! Then you can meet our entire family!" she squealed.
Liam smiled in agreement. "Sure!" Dewey climbed down the ladder and went downstairs. Was Webby right? Was he jealous? Dewey folded his hands. Jealous of what? Dewey thought it over. He would blush whenever he touched her, even something as simple as rubbing up against each other on the hall. He always felt so happy around her. And he felt like Liam was imposing on that.
Dewey came across Beakly, who was talking to herself in the hall. "Hey, Mrs. B," he greeted, distracting himself from his thoughts. She turned to him. "Hello, Dewey. Where's Liam and Webby?" she asked. Dewey shrugged. "I don't know, she's showing him all around the house." Beakly raised an eyebrow. "And when do you think he'll be leaving?" she wondered. "Um, Webby told him he could stay for dinner so..." he said.
Beakly thought a minute. "Just got to keep the secret until then," she said under her breath. Dewey raised an eyebrow. "What?" he asked. "Nothing, why don't you go play with them?" she said. She motioned for him to leave, so Dewey did so. Climbing up the stairs, he thought to himself. Was Beakly hiding something? He smiled to himself. "Detective Dewey is on the case! I bet if I figure out the secret, Webby will have to keep me as her best friend!" he cheered.
