Jake Long III (Season Three)
Chapter/Episode Twenty-Two: Fight For Our School Part 2
Searle Bay led Kylen down the hall, finally stopping at the door that Rosie and November shared. "This is it." Searle said as he and his niece stared at the door. "Now, if you'll excuse me..." He excused himself as he turned and started to walk away. Turning her head to side, she watched as her Uncle walked away.
Smiling, Kylen turned her head back to normal, reach out for the doorknob and opened the door, stepping into the room, only to freeze when she saw that November had her back to her.
Hearing the door open, November quickly turned around, a hopeful smile on her face, but as she saw the shocked-looking Kylen in the doorway, a look of confusion appeared on her face.
After five or so seconds of just standing in place, November's eyes widened and she remembered that she knew who this dragon was. It was Kylen. It was the dragon who had come into her hospital room and pulled her out and forced her to escape.
"K...Kylen." November stammered, watching as the now scowling Kylen closed the door behind her.
"Hello, November." She said darkly.
"Wh...What are you doing here?"
Kylen smiled evilly. "My father got me in here." She said. "He funds this school. My Uncle is the Dean here."
"Th...The D...Dean?" November stammered. She recalled seeing the nameplate on the Dean's desk when Mrs. Weaver had first brought her to his office before she was registered for enrollment.
"It appears that I'm your new roommate." Kylen said, cracking her knuckles. "Do you know what that means for you?"
"N...No."
"Let me tell you." Kylen smirked before she grunted, lunging for November and making her fall back onto her bed as Kylen made contact with her.
Pinned down, November could only watch with fear in her eyes as Kylen lifted up one of the hands that she had used to hold her down. "Do you remember how I killed my mother?" Kylen asked.
"N...No..." Was November's terrified reply.
"Do you remember how I killed that apartment owner?"
"No..." It now dawned on November the method of murder Kylen had used. Now, all she could do was whine in fear, pleading for mercy.
"I can't have you telling anyone at this school about me, November." Kylen said. "They can't know that I'm hiding from the law. It's a real shame that you decided to hide here. You shouldn't have fled. You should have stayed with us." She finished before she brought her fist down hard enough to stop November's heart.
Having silenced the only dragon who could expose her, Kylen got up off of the bed. "I'll need help disposing of your body." She said darkly before she turned and started to walk towards the door to the room.

BACK TO THE STORY/SHOW
Ashni and Sarona made their ways to Dean Searle Bay's office. "They weren't back there." Sarona said to her visibly nervous friend. "So, our best bet is to check Dean Bay's office." She said before she turned her head to the side, just as Ashni swallowed hard.
"What?" Sarona asked. "What's the matter with you? You aren't scared, are you?"
"Well-" Ashni tried.
"Come on, you're too good for that!" Sarona told her. "You're the Laotian Dragon! The Laotian Dragon does not back away in the face of danger!" She finished motivating, making Ashni turn her head to the side to look at her. "We'll take them down."
Ashni continued to stare into her friend's eyes. After a few seconds of staring, her mind processing what Sarona had told her, Ashni managed a confident smile. "Together." Ashni said.
LINE BREAK
Inside Searle's office, Searle was seated at his desk with Mrs. Weaver on his left side and Archibald at his right. "It's up to you now." Searle said as he picked up a piece of paper that was in front of him and turned slightly, handing it to his brother, who took it in both hands and studied it.
"You did it with Tuesday." Searle said. "Now you need to find aliases for not only Kylen, but Tunndra Roy, Klotid Seneca, Zephyr Sloat, Tzili Cassuto and Lotus Walkiria."
"It will be simple." Archibald assured his brother as he lowered the piece of paper, just as the door to the office opened and Sarona walked in, followed by Ashni.
"Ladies, what justifies this rudeness?" Searle asked as the two stopped about a foot away from the desk. "What makes you think that you don't have to knock?"
When Sarona and Ashni didn't say anything in response to this, Searle sighed. "What do you two want?" He asked.
Once again, neither Sarona nor Ashni said anything. Crossing his arms with impatience, Searle Bay crossed his scaly arms. "I asked you a question, girls." He said.
Putting her clawed hands on her hips, Mrs. Weaver added: "If you have nothing to say, get out."
Her lower lip twitching, Sarona finally made her move. Clenching her clawed hands into fists, she opened her mouth and blew out a torrent of fire at all three of the dragons at the desk.
LINE BREAK
Together, Rosie, Amity, Enfys and Blossom ran down the hall, finally reaching the door to the room that Rosie shared with November. Although she was tired from the run from the school's basement, Rosie quickly turned and opened the door, stepping in to find November lying on the bed.
"November!" Rosie called to her before she started to hurry over to her. "Come on, we're getting out of this school." Rosie said as she reached the bed, looking down at her roommate. "November?" She asked, before her eyes widened as she noticed that November wasn't breathing and her head was to the side, her eyes open and lifeless. "Uh-oh..." Rosie said softly as she lifted her head up.
"What?" Amity asked.
""I...I don't think she's going to wake up." Rosie turned her head to the side to look at the other three girls.
"What?" Amity was confused. "What do you mean you don't think she's going to wake up?"
"What, do you think she's dead?" Enfys asked.
"That's exactly what I think, Enfys." Rosie said softly.
"Wh...What is going on here?" Amity asked, exasperated. "First Dean Bay tries to kill you, and now November's dead! Wh...What's going on? I'm starting to get freaked out. Aren't...Aren't schools supposed to be safe?"
"Maybe we should see Mrs. Weaver." Blossom suggested.
"Yeah..." Rosie turned to face her friends. "I...I think that's a good idea." She finished before she started to walk towards them. Amity, Blossom and Enfys all stepped out of the room, allowing Rosie to step out into the hall along with them.
"Do you think she'll help?" Enfys asked.
"She has to." Rosie said before she turned and started to walk down the hall, her friends starting to follow her. However, after only a step or two forward, Rosie and her friends froze when they saw Kylen, Klotid, Tunndra, Tzili and Lotus, all with school badges, walking down the hall, headed for them.
"Hey, who are they?" Klotid muttered while Kylen stared intently at them, her eyes finally falling on Rosie.
"I recognize one of them..." Kylen growled.
Finally, Kylen and her accomplices reached Rosie and her friends. Anger and annoyance in her eyes, Tzili started to open her mouth, but Kylen just smirked and held up a clawed hand. "Don't say anything she said.
"Don't tell me what to-" Tzili started, but she was cut off, her jaw dropping as Kylen cut her off, speaking to Rosie and her friends:
"Did you just come out of that room?" Kylen asked.
"Yeah, we just found Rosie's roommate dead." Blossom said. "We're on our way to see Mrs. Weaver and tell her."
"Actually..." Kylen crossed her scaly arms. "...She already knows."
"Well, she doesn't know about Dean Bay trying to kill Rosie." Amity said.
"Actually, she does." Kylen smiled. "Believe me when I say that it's going to be taken care of."
"How?" Rosie asked.
"Well, for one..." Kylen said. "...She's sending us to dispose of the body."
"Why you?" Rosie asked.
"You'll have to bring that up with her." Kylen replied.
"Well, what about Dean Bay?" Amity asked.
"Mrs. Weaver will take care of him." Kylen said calmly, while Tzili gritted her teeth and growled, clenching her clawed hands into fists.
"What's her problem?" Blossom asked.
"Oh, for the love of-!" Tzili started to angrily rant, Kylen sighing and rolling her eyes as Tzili impulsively admitted to everything: "-She's not going to take care of Dean Bay! Why would she? Did you ever think that there's a reason why he tried to kill you?" She pointed at Rosie, continuing in front of Rosie and her shocked friends: "And how are you even still alive?"
"W...Wait..." Amity managed. "...There's some kind of plot here, and you're all in on it?"
"See, my father is a very powerful dragon." Kylen bragged as she put her clawed hands on her hips. "He founded this school and he can get me anything I want, like a place to hide here."
"A place to hide?" Enfys asked.
"What's going on here?" Amity asked.
"He's also powerful enough..." There was now an evil smile on Kylen's face, accompanied by a murderous look in her eyes. "...To get me out of...sticky...situations, such as...murder."
At that moment, Tzili, Lotus, Tunndra and Klotid all opened their mouths and blew out a torrent of fire each, all trying to incinerate Rosie and her friends. Rosie, Amity, Blossom and Enfys all flapped their wings and flew into the air, avoiding the flames.
As Kylen's minions closed their mouths, Lotus growled and flapped her wings, flying into the air and flying up to Rosie. Seeing Lotus, Rosie grunted and tried to swipe at her face, but Lotus managed to duck her head and reached out, grabbing Rosie by the neck. Grunting, Lotus angrily spun Rosie around and threw her back into the room that she had shared with November.
Grunting as she landed on her back, Rosie could do nothing but watch as the enraged Lotus came down on her, landing on top of her and wrapping her hands around her neck, making her gasp. "WHERE IS ZEPHYR?!" Lotus roared, lost in a maddened state. "WHAT HAVE YOU DONE WITH HIM?!"
"He's...fine..." Rosie managed to tell her, shocking Lotus and causing her to significantly loosen her grip around Rosie's neck. Rosie noticed this, and using it to her advantage, smirked and punched Lotus in the face, making Lotus grunt as she rolled off of Rosie.
As Lotus lied unconscious beside her, Rosie grunted and got to her feet, just as Kylen turned and stepped into the room. Seeing Lotus on the floor and seeing Rosie ready to attack, Kylen could only gasp as Rosie jumped into the air and flew at her. Kylen staggered back out into the hall, but Rosie still tackled her and rammed her into the wall across the hallway.
"So, were you the one who killed November?" Rosie demanded as she held Kylen against the wall.
"Yes." Kylen admitted bitterly before she opened her mouth and blew out a small torrent of fire. Gasping, Rosie ducked to avoid being hit in the face, giving Kylen the opportunity to close her mouth and punch Rosie right in the stomach, throwing her back a few inches.
Gritting her teeth, Kylen threw a punch and hit Rosie in the side of the face, throwing her to the floor.
LINE BREAK
Back in Searle Bay's office, the scorched desk was lying on the floor in two halves. The battle between Sarona, Ashni, Mrs. Weaver, Searle Bay and Archibald Bay, however, continued. In the middle of the office, Searle, Weaver and Archibald were all in the air, circling around Ashni and Sarona who were on the floor, holding up their clawed hands, prepared for a fight.
Finally, Searle swopped down from above them, but Sarona and Ashni jumped apart, causing Searle to miss them and hit the floor on his belly a few inches away. However, neither of them could celebrate, for Archibald brought his tail down and wrapped his tail around Sarona's neck, causing her to hack and struggle for breath as she was lifted up into the air.
Once Archibald had Sarona up to his level, he turned her around to face her; as she stared at him, Sarona just scowled defiantly as she held onto his tail.
"I don't know who you are, but you've already become a pest in the few moments that you've been in my life." Archibald said before he grunted, landing a perfect punch to Sarona's face as he released her neck, sending Sarona flying as the punch hit her; Sarona finally landed right in front of the broken desk.
"Sarona!" Ashni cried, but as she started to run towards her friend, Mrs. Weaver brought her tail down and slammed it into her cheat, throwing her backwards and making her somersault backwards across the floor after her back hit the floor. After rolling across the floor twice, the moaning Ashni landed in a sitting position, completely unaware that Searle was walking up from behind her until his knees touched her back. Alerted, Ashni jerked her head up to see that Searle was staring down at her. Panicking, Ashni tried to get to her feet, but before she could, Searle wrapped his tail twice around her, pinning her arms to her sides. Pulling his tail back, he forced Ashni back down into a sitting position.
Moaning, Sarona slowly started to sit up, just as Mrs. Weaver landed on the ground in front of her. Rubbing her head, Sarona glanced over to where Searle was holding Ashni. "You're not going to get away with this." Sarona said. "You're not going to get away with harboring escaped criminals."
"Hmm, I wonder how you heard about that..." Weaver replied, although she sounded more as if she really didn't care how she knew and that all she really cared about was silencing her before she went blabbing. "...Doesn't matter though, Miss Malosi." She continued as she wrapped her tail twice around Sarona, pinning her arms to her sides as well. "You won't be telling anyone."

BACK TO THE STORY/SHOW
Rosie and Kylen's personal fight had traveled all around the halls of St. Melusine's. Now, there was only one place where the two fighting dragons could end up: outside. The front doors burst open as the two dragons rammed into them, recklessly flying as they fought. Twirling in the air as they went down the steps, the two finally hit the pavement.
Separating from Rosie, Kylen groaned as she got to her feet, stumbling back three steps. Clutching her twitching shoulder, Kylen gritted her teeth as she watched as Rosie slowly get to her feet.
"I'm going to kill you." Kylen hissed as she took her clawed hand off of her still twitching shoulder. Then, with a grunt, she swung her tail at Rosie, but Rosie quickly jumped back, avoiding the tail.
Her eyes filled with rage, Kylen roared as she shot the tip of her tail forward, trying to hit Rosie over the heart as quickly and as hard as she could. However, Rosie jumped to the side and quickly turned, quickly grabbing hold of her tail. Kylen could only watch in shock as Rosie turned her head to the side, gave her an evil smirk and then pulled on the tail. As her feet were pulled forward, making her lose her balance, Kylen yelped before she landed on her back.
Growling in anger, she stared up at Rosie, who flared her wings. "If you're going to kill me, you better be able to make a hit." She said. "Keep up and see if you can hit me on the roof." Then, she flapped her wings and flew up to the roof, leaving Kylen to seethe in fury.
LINE BREAK
In one of the halls, Enfys and Blossom fought together against Tunndra and Klotid, Klotid primarily fighting Blossom and Tunndra primarily fighting Enfys. Both Tunndra and Klotid opened their mouths and blew out a ball of fire each as they advanced on the two other dragons. In response, both Enfys and Blossom used their tails to smack the fireballs to the side so that they didn't hit them in their faces. Instead, the balls of fire hit the walls, burning a hole in each side of the wall.
Growling, Klotid started to run towards Blossom, leaving behind a shocked Tunndra. Watching as Klotid tackled Blossom knocking her to the ground, Tunndra turned her attention back to Enfys, who narrowed her eyes and held up her clawed hands. "Bring it."
Narrowing her eyes, Tunndra opened her mouth and blew out a torrent of fire. Grunting, Enfys quickly squatted down, the flames soaring right over her head. As sweat quickly started to form on her forehead due to the intense heat right above her, Enfys breathed through her mouth as she studied Tunndra, looking up at the fire that was coming out of her mouth.
Smiling as she got an idea, she lifted her head up as much as she could without getting burned. Keeping her eyes on Tunndra's mouth, Enfys opened her mouth and blew out her own torrent of fire, which headed right toward the start of Tunndra's. Once the two fires hit each other, Tunndra's fire burst into millions of small, flaming pieces; Tunndra was pushed back and started to stagger backwards.
"Sister, help me!" She pleaded, while Enfys flapped her wings and quickly flew towards her. As soon as she reached Tunndra, Enfys quickly punched her in the face so hard that Tunndra cried out as she spun around before falling flat on her face.
Landing at the feet of the defeated Tunndra, Enfys turned around to see that Klotid was on top of Blossom, who was kicking out with her feet, being choked by Klotid. Desperate for air, Blossom opened her mouth, but this only caused Klotid to tighten her grip, resulting in a silent scream coming from Blossom.
"How much longer do I have to wait for you to go limp?" Klotid demanded impatiently as she looked down at Blossom. "Maybe I should speed this up..." She added before she opened her mouth, fire starting to form.
Quickly, Blossom's eyes widened before she shut them, trying to look away. However, the death blow never came; before Klotid could fry Blossom's head, a blast of fire hit Klotid from behind, making Klotid scream in pain as she was thrown off of Blossom, flipping in the air and landing on her back, unconscious.
Her mouth steaming from the torrent of fire, Enfys watched as Blossom coughed and rolled over onto her belly. Seeing that Klotid was staying down, Enfys closed her mouth and hurried over to her friend.
LINE BREAK
Meanwhile, in another hall, Tzili swung her tail right into Amity's chest, throwing her all the way down the hall. Amity didn't stop until she hit the wall at the end of the hall that started the next hallway.
Bouncing off the wall, Amity landed on her hands and knees. Breathing heavily, Amity looked up to see Tzili running towards her, an evil and murderous smile on her face.
Her eyes filled with fear, Amity did the only thing she could think of: open her mouth and blew out a torrent of fire. The fire traveled down the hall quickly and hit Tzili head on, making her grunt and throwing her to the floor.
With Tzili down, Amity slowly got to her feet, her legs trembling. Turning, she hurried into the next hall, trying to get away from Tzili. As she walked down the hall, Amity glanced around the hall, looking for places to hide. Suddenly, her eyes caught sight of an air vent, up near the ceiling.
Somehow, she knew it was her best bet. Turning her head to the side to see if Tzili was up and looking for her, she quickly turned her head back to normal when she saw that Tzili was not behind her. In a flash of light, Amity reverted to her human form, and once the transformation was complete, she hurried over to the side of the wall where the air vent was.
Meanwhile, Tzili groaned as she got back up on her feet. Seeing that Amity was no longer at the end of the hall, Tzili growled in anger before she sprinted all the way down the hall. Skidding across the floor as she entered the next hall, she dug her claws into the wall as she stopped at it.
Staring around the hall, she finally caught sight of the air vent lid closed after Amity had climbed all the way in. Grinning evilly, Tzili ran her claws down the wall, leaving deep slash marks, before she hurried over to the air vent.
In the vent, Amity held her breath as she crawled through the vent. "Please don't find me, please don't find me..." Amity whispered to herself. However, when she heard the air vent lid creak as it opened, she froze. Her eyes widening with fear, Amity turned her head to see that Tzili was indeed hovering right outside the vent.
"Gotcha!" Tzili exclaimed before she opened her mouth, fire starting to form. However, before she could blow out any fire, Tzili quickly closed her mouth, changing her mind. "Naw, a fiery death is too good for you..." She decided. "...I'm going to kill you WITH MY OWN CLAWS!"
Amity watched with fear as the chuckling Tzili started to force herself into the vent, but unbeknownst to Tzili, she was too big to fit all the way into the vent. Once she was halfway in, Tzili's evil grin vanished after she tried one more pull into the vent, only to find that she was stuck.
"Huh?" Tzili turned her head to the side, twice more trying to fit herself all the way in. It was no use. "NO!" Tzili reacted with rage, slamming her fist down onto the "floor" of the vent.
Smirking, Amity took the chance to finally defeat Tzili. Her tail appearing in a bright light. She shot it right at Tzili, who could only watch with a shocked look on her face before Amity's tail hit her in the face, sending Tzili into the world of unconsciousness.
LINE BREAK
Meanwhile, Archibald Bay opened up the door that led to the school's basement before he turned to face Mrs. Weaver and his brother, who were still holding their prisoners with their tales. Grunting, Sarona struggled to free herself, but Weaver managed to keep her tail around her, ceasing her struggle with a slap to the back of the head. "Walk." She ordered, also directing this order at Ashni.
Not even a minute later, Archibald reached the bottom of the stairs. After taking two steps away from the stairs, he stopped, allowing Weaver and his brother to reach the bottom of the stairs and walk over to the conveyor belt.
Stopping in front of where the still unconscious Zephyr was sitting, Weaver and Searle could only stare in shock. "Wh...Where'd she go?!" Searle demanded.
Noticing that Weaver was releasing her hold on her, Sarona took this to her advantage and lifted up her foot, bringing it down on Weaver's. As Weaver howled in pain, releasing Sarona completely from her grip, both Ashni and Searle turned their heads to the side and watched as Sarona quickly turned around and punched Weaver in the face, making her grunt and throwing her to the floor.
Going to attack Sarona, Searle accidentally released Ashni. When he realized this, Searle froze in place. "Crap." He muttered.
Archibald could only watch in shock as Ashni jumped up and tackled Searle from behind, knocking him to the floor while Sarona ran towards him.
Now that Sarona was free and after him, Archibald panicked. Quickly, he turned and started to run up the stairs. He was only up a few stairs by the time that Sarona reached the bottom of the stairs, quickly lashing out after Archibald with her tail. Within seconds, her tail managed to wrap around Archibald's ankle; as he tried to run up more stairs, Archibald only succeeded in tripping himself, falling face down on the stairs. Moaning, Archibald lifted his head up and turned it to look down at Sarona, who smiled and crossed her scaly arms.
LINE BREAK
Up on the roof, Kylen and Rosie continued their fight. Grunting, Kylen tried to swipe at Rosie's face, but Rosie managed to duck. Straightening back up, Rosie smiled at her. "Still not able to land a blow on me." She mocked as the two of them started to circle each other.
"Just give me a minute." Kylen spat. "Then, you'll really regret mouthing off to me. You'll be dead just like November!"
"Why did you kill her?" Rosie demanded.
"She knew too much about me." Kylen smiled evilly. "She would have been trouble."
"She knew too much about you?" Rosie asked. "What, were you one of those dangerous dragons that she escaped from the hospital with?"
"Oh, so she told you?"
"She told me everything." Rosie said.
"Did you grow to care for her?" Kylen mocked. "Was she your best friend?"
By this time, Kylen was the one who had her back to the edge of the roof, leaving her vulnerable to Rosie's anger, which she had just ignited. Grunting, Rosie angrily spun around, lashing out with her tail. Kylen tried to duck, but Rosie's strike was too fast; Rosie's tail hit Kylen in the face, making Kylen grunt as she was thrown off of her feet, her back hitting the roof, causing her to roll backwards.
Turning around, Rosie was just in time to see Kylen going right over the edge of the roof, disappearing from view. Curious, Rosie started to walk over to the edge of the building, and once she finally reached it, she looked down to see Kylen clutching onto the side of the roof with both hands, holding on for dear life. She was currently looking down at the ground.
"Hey, Kylen." Rosie said with a smile, causing Kylen to look up at her, showing Rosie her fear-filled eyes. Despite the fact that this dragon had just killed one of her friends and had tried to have her killed, Rosie felt her satisfied smile fading once she saw how terrified Kylen looked.
"H...Help me..." Kylen begged.
LINE BREAK
It wasn't long before the Dragon Council and other back-up, including mental hospital staff and Dragon Council Agents arrived. A red light on top of a futuristic hospital van spun around, while, inside the van, Klotid, Tzili, Tunndra, Lotus and Zephyr (who had bandages around his head), sat in their human forms, restrained with straightjackets. The back doors to the van were closed, locking the re-captured patients inside, before two hospital employees turned to see Asil, Agata and Yara. While Asil was in his human form, Agata and Yara were in their dragon forms, holding onto Kylen, still in her dragon form, but at least with her hands shackled behind her back.
"Kylen Bay has killed two more people since her escape." Asil said, crossing his arms. "Seeing as her father not only harbored escaped convict Tuesday Whitley, and planned to hide Kylen at this school, but also admitted to using his personal wealth to get her institutionalized instead of sending her to prison, she is now in the custody of the Dragon Council until she can be properly tried for her crimes."
Meanwhile, Mrs. Weaver, Searle Bay and Archibald Bay were all led out the school by two dragon-formed Dragon Council Agents each, all three with their clawed hands shackled behind their backs. Following them out were Rosie, Amity, Enfys and Blossom, all still in their dragon forms, but now with their school badges now removed. They watched everything going on outside until they heard the sound of creaking wheels, followed by the sound of a male's voice: "Girls, can you please move?"
All four of them turned around to see November's covered body strapped down on a stretcher, a dragon tasked with getting the body out of building. "Girls?" The dragon repeated.
"Sorry." Rosie said softly.
"Why don't you girls get on out of here?" The dragon offered with a smile. "Go home. This place is done for after what happened here tonight."
"We're waiting for our parents." Blossom said.
"Well, do you mind moving?" The dragon asked. "Need to get this poor soul to the Island of Draco for autopsy and burial."
"Do you think..." Rosie started awkwardly. "...That I could see the body for just one second?"
"Why would you want to do that?"
"She was a friend of mine." Rosie said. "My roommate, to be exact."
The dragon stared at the four younger dragons for a few seconds. He knew that he had a job to do, and there was a part of him that didn't want them to see the body. To him, the younger dragons wouldn't be able to handle it. "Sorry, but I can't let you see her." The dragon said.
Rosie opened her mouth to respond, but before she could form any words, her eyes widened as she heard the familiar sound of her mother's voice: "Rosie!"
"Mom." Was all Rosie could say. Together, she, Amity, Enfys and Blossom all turned around to see Jake Jr. and his wife a few feet away, both of them huddled together.
"Rosie!" Her mother once again exclaimed before she let go of her husband and started to run towards her daughter. As Rosie watched her mother run up the steps to get to her, she could only watch in shock. Rosie had just enough time to lift up her scaly arms before her mother reached her and glomped her, hugging her daughter's scaly reptilian form as tight as she could.
"The Dragon Council told your father and I what happened tonight." She said. "Rosie, we're sorry. We didn't send you here for you to almost get killed."
"I know, Mom." Rosie said softly.
After taking a deep breath, Rosie's mother released her daughter and took a step back, just as Jake Jr. got up the steps and reached his wife's side.
"Who are these girls?" Jake Jr. asked.
"Friends." Rosie replied.
"Well, at least something positive happened here." Rosie's mother said with a small smile.
LINE BREAK
Back at the Long household, Rosie, now in her human form, sat across from her parents at the kitchen table. "Amity, Enfys and Blossom seem like very nice girls." Jake Jr. said.
"They are nice." Rosie replied, starting to drum her fingers against the table. "So, where's Jake?"
"South Africa with his master." Rosie's mother replied.
"When are they coming back?"
"We don't think they've even gotten there, yet." Jake Jr. replied.
"What are they doing there?"
"They're there with Councilor Dingane." Jake Jr. replied. "They're looking for two dragons that were abducted on the Island of Draco. They think that since the abductees are from South Africa and since the abductors are from South Africa, they might be in South Africa."
"How long ago did they leave?"
"About two nights ago." Jake Jr. replied while his wife slowly got up from her chair and started to walk out of the kitchen.
"Hmm." Was Rosie's response as she sat back in her chair.
Jake Jr. smiled. "Isn't it fun to catch up with your parents?"
"So, what now?" Rosie changed the subject as she leaned forward again. "What's going to happen now that St. Melusine's is out of the picture?"
"I guess we'll just have to wait and see." Jake Jr. replied before he himself got up from the table and started to walk out of the kitchen. He was just reaching the doorway when the sound of his daughter's voice made him stop in his tracks.
"Hey, Dad?"
"Yes, Rosie?" He replied, turning his head to the side to look at her, watching as Rosie moved to the side in her chair.
"I'm not going to be bad anymore." She said.
This got Jake Jr. to turn around to face his daughter. "What makes you think that?"
"I guess you could say that I had an epiphany while I was at St. Melusine's." Rosie said softly. "Grandma Rose wasn't so bad. In fact, she was a pretty good person."
"Aw..." Jake Jr. listened, crossing his arms.
Rosie held up her hand with the birthmark. "So, I guess this doesn't make my mark all bad." She continued. "If my grandmother, who had the mark, was a good woman, then..."
By this time, Jake Jr. was sincerely smiling. "...Then I guess I shouldn't be ashamed of it." Rosie finished, lowering her hand. "I...I won't be ashamed of it."
BLACKOUT; END EPISODE
A/N: Man, I guess Kylen forgot she could fly :P
Okay, fate time! What happened to some of these characters after the events of these two episodes? Well, Kylen was re-tried, and without her father to use his wealth to get her special treatment, she was sentenced to life in prison. As for Tzili, Zephyr, Klotid, Lotus and Tunndra, they remained in the hospital for the rest of their lives, with the hospital taking special precautions to prevent them from ever escaping again (i.e. solitary confinement, heavy sedatives, and so on). Archibald, Searle and Mrs. Weaver were also put away for a very long time. Sarona and Ashni eventually went back to Samoa and Laos, respectively, and as you've probably already guessed, St. Melusine's was closed down for good.
Anyway, please review.
